The first thing you noticed when you woke up was how warm you were.

It took you a few long moments to realize that you’d fallen asleep, not really remembering even crawling into your bed. The blankets were so warm it wasn’t really surprising though, it’d been freezing all day long. 

Pulling the blankets further over your shoulders you could’ve fallen back asleep, and you almost did, if it wasn’t for the loud bang sounding from the kitchen followed by a string of soft curses. 

Once again it took you a second for the voice to register in your head, thoughts foggy from the sleep that was calling out to you still. 

You almost didn’t want to get out of bed to check out what the commotion in the kitchen was. 

Luck must’ve been on your side, as you opened your eyes for the first time reaching for your phone to see just how long you slept you noticed Kuroo’s head peeking through your door. 

“Shit, did I wake you up?” 

“Mmm not really.” You smiled, pulling the blankets up to your chin as you turned towards the door. 

“You look comfy.” He started, stepping fully into your room now once he knew you were awake. “You’ve been out for a while, I was starting to think you’d sleep all night.” 

“Really?” You asked, you still hadn’t looked to see what the time was. “When did you get home?” 

“A few hours ago I think.” He laughed when your eyes widened slightly. “It’s almost seven.” 

“Seven?” You checked your phone to make sure he wasn’t messing with you, and sure enough, you’d slept for over four hours. “Damn, sorry, I didn’t realize.” 

“I would’ve woken you up but I figured you needed the rest.” Kuroo smiled when you shook your head, moving to sit on the edge of the bed now. “No, you’ve been pushing yourself a lot, you can take a nap once in a while.” 

You didn’t respond to that knowing he was probably right, even if you felt a little guilty. 

“Have you eaten dinner?”

“No.” He answered after a second, his hand rubbing the back of his neck. “I wanted to wait for you so you weren’t eating alone.” 

“Oh my god, you’re adorable.” You laughed, shifting under the blankets to look at him better, still not wanting to pull yourself from the warmth yet. “You did not have to wait for me.”

“It’s fine, I wasn’t too hungry. I’d rather eat with you anyway.” He looked away for a second but you could still see the slight tinge of pink dusting his cheeks. 

“Hmm. You think dinner could wait a little longer?” 

“Yeah, I think so.” Kuroo turned back to you, an interested look adorning his face now at the tone of your voice. “Why?”

“C’mere.” You pushed back the blankets just enough to open up a spot for him next to you. “I don’t want to get out of bed yet.”

“You’re kidding.”

“You should rest too, you were up before the crack of dawn today.” You knew he’d been working hard on his classes lately, probably even harder than you.

“I’m fine.”

“Tetsu.” You started, glaring up at him, there was no way he should be able to let you rest without allowing some time for him as well. “Get your ass over here, I swear.”

“Oh my god fine.” He laughed, shaking his head a little before obliging and crawling under the blankets with you. Immediately wrapping his arms around you to pull you against him. 

“That’s better, I knew something was missing.” You sighed, closing your eyes once again as you laid your head against his chest, somehow he was even warmer than you were before.

“It’s been a while since we’ve done this, huh.” He mumbled after a minute, his hand rubbing soft circles against your back slowing slightly. 

“Yeah, it has.” You couldn’t even fully remember the last time the two of you just laid in bed like that. “Probably since last semester.”

“I think your right.” His voice was softer now, and it took him a long moment to answer. “Don’t you dare fall asleep again.”

“Take your own advice.” You spoke softly, knowing how easily he fell asleep, it was almost as soon as he shut his eyes. He was most likely just seconds away from falling asleep now. “Just go to sleep.”

“Mmm, fine. Love you.”

"Oh, no" You heard Kuroo curse before opening your eyes. It was your sleep time, after several red bull cans you finally got sleepy and Kuroo was there helping you by caressing your hair and watching the boys for them not be loud, since you could be easily disturbed.

You hum at him, along what happened searching for his touch on your. "Oh, nothing, y/n, you can rest. Stay there, sweetheart."

You sigh and try to ignore his nervous tone, trying to get back sleep. Your head was on his laps and you got tired from watching tv with him, Atsumu, Bokuto and Hinata. They told you could have some sleep they'd be quiet, especially because you usually work in lack of sleep.

Again, you hear Kuroo whispering, not to you. "No, your dumbasses, there, there, the fucking thing is there"

"HOLY MOLY" Your eyes almost pop out your ocular globes with Atsumu's scream. "THE HOLY DAMN THING IS FLYING, I'M OUT"

"KuROO, WHAT THE HELL" You scream and jump from his lap as your eyes catch a fucking flying cockroach on your living room. Hinata's with a broom like he's holding a sword at the corner of the room and Bokuto's with a pan on his hands, and then we have Atsumu who's running throught the hall way back to his room.

"y/n... ugh" Kuroo tries to explain as he follows the damn bug with his eyes. "You were sleeping..."

"I'M DONE TOO, SORRY, Y/N" Hinata's loosen his grip on the broom and run away to your room, locking the door.

"Kuroo, I dont care, TAKE ME OUT HERE" You scream jumping from the coach and he's holding your hand as both of you run away.

"DON'T LEAVE ME HEREEEEEEE" Bokuto screams and then the three of you slam your bedroom door till Hinata open it up. A few moments later, Atsumu joins you.

"Sorry, y/n, we were trying to take the thing down before you wake up..."

"I can see we got mission failed, right?"

"It's our capitan's fault" Hinata laughs loud as he nods to Kuroo. "If you want to blame someone, blame him"

"Ughh" Kuroo placed his hand on his neck in embarrassment. "Fine, I think we gotta find to another place to stay at night"

After some seconds of silence, the three of you burst into a wild chorus of laughing and screaming.

kageyama likes you, but doesn’t know how to approach you, so he begrudgingly asks for help from his volleyball team. luckily, he has yachi ask you to tutor him, which is honestly a win-win situation for him to get close to you while boosting his subpar grades. he does his best to listen to you explain the today’s lesson from math that he just could not for the life of him grasp, he really does. though thankfully, his natural clumsiness and earnestness are absolutely endearing, and the precious smile on his face whenever you tell him that you’re proud of him never goes overlooked. maybe there’s something appealing to kageyama about the fact that you’ve stuck by him for a while despite seeing how utterly hopeless he is at academics, because he now has a newfound motivation to do well in his studies: to impress you and let you know that all of your hard work has not gone to waste. (and because you promised to treat him to a parfait if he got above a 70 on an exam).

tsukishima is the boy you were partnered up for a group project with and unfortunately intimidates the hell out of you with his permanently irritated resting face. though when you talk to him, he’s surprisingly cooperative and genuinely takes your ideas into account. he really listens to what you have to say and builds onto the ideas you bring up while also asking questions to indicate that he wants to understand more about your methodology. things truly take a turn when the two of you spend an afternoon in his room for the project and each time your knees touch, he strangely doesn’t recoil with a sharp glare. instead, he keeps his knee where it’s at with red ears and a heated face as he profusely refuses to glance at your amused expression. unbeknownst to you, tsukishima’s trying to focus on the project without being distracted by thoughts of how to ask you out or the fact that his crush is literally sitting in his room.

matsukawa is the boy sitting besides you that makes you laugh so much in class that you fear your teacher kicking the two of you out. you really try to be a good student, but matsukawa’s hilariously witty quips that he whispers into your ear during lectures prohibit you from concentrating. unfortunately, the two of you spend a great deal of time in detention because of his wit. though you guess that the punishment really wasn’t all that bad when you find yourself doubling over in laughter while cleaning up the classroom with him after school and later going to a cafe where matsukawa insists on paying as an apology for getting you in trouble, and maybe walking you home as well, even if your house is in the opposite direction to his.

kuroo is the boy that you naturally partner up with for projects. whenever your teacher notifies the class of an opportunity to work with someone, you instinctively turn to kuroo, who is already glancing over at you, wordlessly asking you to do the assignment with him. the two of you work in flawless synchronicity and he’s the ideal project partner. communication between the two of you is impeccable and you both yield exceptional work together. plus, it’s a great excuse to spend extra time with him after class at the cafes nearby nekoma where the two of you somehow maintain a good balance of joking around and being productive. you’re his first and only choice, and vice versa.

You were so focused that you didn’t hear Kuroo come outside, and you only noticed him when he was leaning towards you. After an immoderately passionate kiss, during which Kuroo made you jump by circling one arm around your back to pull you closer and resting the other hand on the wall behind you, you let out a shaky sigh of annoyance.

“Why did you attack me like that? I was just getting some air.”

“Hmm,” he hummed, smirking. “It looked to me like you were practicing your smile.”

“Don’t spy on me like that! And that’s not what I was…” You trailed off. Kuroo was still hovering close to your lips.

“Whatever you were doing, you were absolutely irresistible,” he observed quietly. He kissed you again. “Smile?”

“No. It’s not ready.”

You smiled slightly, and turned your face away so that he couldn’t see it fully.

“I dunno. I don’t like it.” You wanted to change the subject, but he kept pressing.

“You always cover your mouth when you do smile, and it makes me sad.”

Ive had this headcanon in my head for a while but basically it that Coach Ukai has definitely helped kids from other teams out.

Bokuto having a breakdown alone and Ukai finds him sitting on the ground and tries to help him. He remembers Bokuto showing Hinata and Tsukki some videos about owls so he goes onto youtube and they watch some owl videos on his phone until Bokuto is ready to face the world again. 

Kuroo leaving his sleeping pills at home and goes to the coaches for help. Ukai driving the hour and a half with him to get them. He doesn’t question why Kuroo hugs his dad for so long or why the boy seems to have to physically will himself to leave. 

Iwaizumi being either kicked out or had to get away on a raining day without his phone, an umbrella or a jacket. Somehow he ends up around Ukai’s shop and while taking out the trash Ukai see him. He ushers him inside and gets him some tea. He lets the kid use his phone to contact Oikawa. He goes back to working but he checks on Iwa every couple minutes or so until Oikawa arrives.

Kuroo x Reader

There's a mountain of tissues resting on her nightstand, all sticky and wet from wiping the excess fluids from her nose and eyes. Hugging her legs towards her chest, she hid from the outside world, as the blanket covered her whole body. Her day went by slow as she struggled to breathe with a stuffy nose. After a while, she felt her body relax and loosen, slowly pulled to her dreamland when a sound of the doorknob being turned jolted her. Soon, she felt the cold air hit her face as her blanket was yanked from her.

"Time for your pills, sick cat~" Tetsu cooed at me as he put down a plastic bag beside the tissues

"Oh, and can you be more disgusting than this??", he asked as he glared at the pile of wet tissues before pulling a trashcan and pushing the tissues to make it fall inside the trashcan.

Groaning, you let go of your legs and tried to sit up while your boyfriend took out the medicines and your favorite porridge from McDonald's'. Startled by the number of pills, you gawk at him and folded your feeble arms on your chest.

"Are you trying to drug me to death, Tetsu?! It's just a fever, I'm not dying..." I claimed, trying my best to sound mad with limited oxygen stock in my chest. Hearing this, he poked my forehead softly before putting all the pills in a cup and placed it beside a water bottle. He opened the lid for the porridge, and bring it close to his nose.

"Too bad you cannot smell the aroma of your favorite porridge..." He stated before taking a spoonful of the food into his mouth. Annoyed, I pulled on his hair that covered his eye as he struggled to take another bite.

"I thought that was for me, you scheming half-blind cat!" I said as he finally put the food down before I let go of his 'beautiful' bedhair.

"Jeez, are you that hungry? Of course, it's for you... I'm just taking a bite as payment for bringing it here before you eat it and let your viruses spread on the food" he mumbled loudly to my face before poking my forehead again and continued "also, you're finishing all those pills... I don't want a snotty girl as my girlfriend." Hearing this, I jested at him too.

"And I don't want a half-blind pole for my boyfriend, so it's okay... Hmm, maybe Morisuke-kun is better~" I replied him back, then continuing my warm porridge. Baffled, he stood up from the bed and looked at me in a sharp glare. I was so focused on the food when he called me back.

"How about now?" He asked in a low, playful voice. I looked up at him, his hand was pushing his bedhair covering his eyes upwards revealing his slanted eyes while the other hands are glued on his waist. He would've looked sexy if his shit-eating grin was not there. I stayed quiet, waiting for him to feel embarrassed alone.

"You could at least laugh or snapped back, you know? Why'd you gotta leave me standing like that without a single sound, huh?" He added while sitting himself back with his palms on his face. While he faked-sob, I tried my best to finish the porridge while it's still warm. After a few spoonfuls, the container was empty as I discarded it to the trashcan. Looking at him, I laughed a bit and pulled his hair to catch his attention back. With his palms down, he pouted at me.

"You can at least take back the statement about Yaku...", he mumbled and continues to purse his lips, even more, making him looks like a half-blind duck instead of a pole.

"I'm the one that's sick, why am I supposed to take care of you now... stop pouting, silly" I preached to him while rolling my eyes. Still sulking from the statement, he sat there like a stone beside me with his still-visible pout. Giving up, I pushed myself further from my seating position to wrap my arms around his waist as I felt cold air biting the skins of my arms and face.

"...Fine, I take that back...Silly half-blind, shit-eating grin cat" I said as I settled for a more comfortable hug, letting my tummy faced the bed and relaxes while he caressed my head softly.

"You're just dissing me, you know. At least, I'm still your boyfriend..." He said and pulled me up so that my face was on his chest as he hugged me.

Enveloped in his arms, I feel my whole body starts to warm up again. It was really cozy until I started sniffling on his chest. Almost immediately, he pushed the cups with pills and the water bottle against my palm, telling me to finish it quickly. Then, I was laying on the bed again with the blankets tucked on me as Tetsu rummaged through one of my drawers at the nightstand. He fished out a face-mask and helped me wear it after he wore one himself.

"Rest up, and make sure to be healthy. I'll fetch you tomorrow, snotty cat..." He announced and pulled his mask down, revealing his smirk before he kisses my forehead and slowly stands up. Before he turned to go, I pulled the hem of his blazer and pointed at my lips, pouting from behind the mask. Seeing this, he chuckled and lowers his face to me. Then, instead of pulling the mask, he just kissed the bridge of my nose that was not covered by the mask.

"Sorry kitten, but I did plan to pick you up tomorrow...can't do that if I'm sick right?" He whispered on my face and quickly straightens himself as he walked towards the door. Before he turns the doorknob, he turned to look at me back.

"I might consider compensating if you're healthy tomorrow..." he briskly said before opening the door and closes it again after he's out. Not being able to answer or even retaliate, I huffed in annoyance and relaxed back as the medicine kicks in, making me drowsy. Soon enough, I was off the slumber.

The next day, I bid goodbye to my parents as I walked out of the house. Seeing Tetsu, I skipped happily to his place when he pulled me into a deep kiss even before I arrived beside him, crashing my lips with his warm mouth. After a while, both of us pulled back with cheeks dusted with crimson. Lightly slapping his chest, I slowly mouthed "are you serious?!" to him as he pulled my arms to walk from there.

"I did say that I'll compensate..." He answered, looking forward as his fingers intertwined with mine. Blushing, I just shushed myself and walked with him when a thought struck me.

"Where's Kenma?"

He stopped on his tracks and looked at me straight in the eyes. Two seconds later, and he poked my forehead.

"...Do you really have to ruin the moment? Kenma's gone earlier... Jeez, there goes our romantic walk..." he complained as we continued to walk again.

"We're just walking to school, Tetsu..."

"Y/n-chan, stop ruining the mood... jeez..."

It was a Saturday afternoon and Bokuto’s body was thrumming with energy. Sure, he was a little bummed after graduation but there was so much to look forward to! He had been scouted to one of the best Universities in Tokyo to play for their team and he knows the National team is keeping their eye on him. It’s great because he won’t be far from his old teammates and he has the chance to make even more friends on his new team.

He was so excited for his new opportunities that his mom chased him out of the house to work off his energy somehow. She barely gave him enough time to change into his running gear before smacking his butt with a broom. He bounded out the door with a spring in his step but paused once he reached the sidewalk.

His street was surprisingly quiet with hardly any people to be seen. Even the sounds of distant traffic couldn’t fill the silence around him and Bokuto instantly felt the sting of loneliness. It wasn’t that he couldn’t do anything alone, it was that everything was better with a friend by your side.

Before he psyched himself out more, he slipped in his headphones and popped on some fun music. Just like that, he was back. His smile in place and his feet bouncing off the cement, he took off toward the next block. He knew his route like the back of his hand, but something stirred inside him to try something new. He’d have to adapt anyway when he moved into his dorm, so instead of turning right to circle around the neighborhoods, he turned left.

He knew right away it was a good decision. Life was thriving as he sped through the crowds. There were other runners out but most of the pedestrians were shoppers or people eating out. He hummed as he inhaled the mouth-watering aromas of the restaurants and made sure to peek in every window of the shops since his mother’s birthday was approaching.

He paused at one intersection and wiped his face on his sleeve. His watch said he’d been running for half an hour and luckily he hadn’t traveled so far that he didn’t know where he was. He kept hopping in place to keep his blood flowing, waiting until the light signaled that he could go when he heard a giggle next to him.

Two girls were leaning against a cafe window and smiled at him when he met their eye. They giggled even harder when he smiled back at them and Bokuto hoped they were just flirting with him and he didn’t have a booger hanging out of his nose. He scratched his head bashfully and opened his mouth to say hi when something else caught his eye inside the cafe.

Kuroo Tetsurou was in a booth by himself, fingers drumming against a teacup as he stared out the window next to him. It wasn’t the fact that he randomly spotted Kuroo in town that threw Bokuto off, it was the expression on his face. Usually, when he saw Kuroo, his lips were turned up in a mischievous grin and his eyes glimmered as they observed everything around him. It felt wrong to see his lips pressed together and his eyes lifeless under eyebrows shoved too tightly together.

Bokuto startled as the crowd shoved past him and turned his head toward the crosswalk he had been waiting to pass over. He had been itching to get back to his run and usually nothing can deter him from a path he had set his mind to. This time he turned away from it without a second thought, retracing his steps until he came to the cafe door and walked through it.

You enjoyed the fall season, the cooler weather made it perfect for cuddles. Surprisingly it was Kenma that went to you, silently crawling onto the couch next to you then laying himself across your lap. You smiled at him and he looked away blushing before you both got comfortable.

You laid your hands across his stomach holding your phone, while he played on his phone against his chest. You quite enjoyed these quiet moments where the two of you could relax in the comfort of each other.

After about an hour of silence and Kenma falling asleep, two long arms snuck their way over the back of the couch and across your shoulders. You tilted your head back to face a pouting Kuroo.

“Is there something you need?” you ask, turning your phone off and giving Kuroo your full attention.

“That’s not fair. Why didn’t you guys tell me you were cuddling! I want in!” he whined dramatically as he laid his head against your shoulder.

“Stop being a baby,” You said as you reached up to cup his face, giving it a gentle kiss, “Why don’t you come around and snuggle up?” you suggested, his face lit up as he slithered himself next to you.

You leaned against him, resting your head onto his chest as you brought your phone up to take a picture of you and the two clingy boys. Your phone had a few pictures like this. Going back through them always made you smile.

After capturing the moment you set your phone down on the couch and grabbed one of Kuroo’s hands, playing with his fingers.

“You know I love you two.” You said smiling warmly, Kuroo chuckled,

“We do know. We love you just as much,” he said relaxing into the couch. Sleep slowly won you over as you intertwined your fingers with his, and started petting Kenma’s soft hair with your other hand.

What more could you need on these chilly fall days, than two boys warm with love snuggled up onto you?

Beach Vacation!

Summary: Some things a beach vacation with your boyfriend and his friends would include:

that said, chopping up some fruit and enjoying it under a shade

playing card games at night with all his friends and things getting heated when cheating to win is brought up

also playing Jenga because I'm a sucker for that game

ALWAYS having a bikini on, sometimes with shorts, sometimes just that

being barefoot all the time

late night cooking with your boyfriend

not-so-late night cooking with your boyfriend’s friend’s partners and having fun with them, while your boyfriend and his friends play videogames or something

Braiding the people with long hair’s hair and having yours braided as well, just to pass the time

Tieing your boyfriend's hair out of his face in a little ponytail

playfully smearing the sweat of your palm on your boyfriend's face

almost never moving off of the couch or floor because of how hot it is

fanning your boyfriend with your hands to keep him cool, and him blowing air at your face

napping in a hammock with your boyfriend

staying up late because its when its the coolest

being on your phone/computer or reading a book while scratching your boyfriends back as he lays almost asleep on the couch next to you

having a few playful red smacks on your thighs and arms from trying to kill mosquitoes, some from you and some from your boyfriend
