ok so this is so odd but I actually like him a little more in this panel. I don't really like him. but he looks like a tired dad here, so maybe that's pulling on my heart strings a bit. I had always hoped that he may have a softer side for Ronald anyway, like Grelle does(or atleast I say so). fanon!Will can co-mentor.

and also... he actually got moves?? this whole time I just thought he was a stack of bones that could extend a longer stick and stab things. no skills required. but this changes things.

kinda. I still consider him the weakest fighter(of people who can) in the series, but it's something none the less. sorry I'm a sucker for action moves. the fact that he can now impress me is amazing. it's new.

and also, who's he looking so sinister for XP sir isn't that the face you give cold coffee handed to you.

so then it may not be slang(@grelleswife I think you suggested this to me last time?..), unless it's such a common nickname that all reapers refer to it as such. I say that the Brass is either the entity known as God to humans, or a different entity entirely but fills in God's roll in this story. this isn't important.

and it is also now official that Othello will be getting his hands on this. perhaps the next in between servant arc segments (last time it was r!ciel and the undertaker) will feature him?

my take on the recent chapter leak.

so, if you have seen the recent chapter leaks of black butler's chapter 192, and you're confused as to why everyone is talking about the possibility of Doll being alive still, allow me to show you this

as you can see, the silhouette person at the bottom of this chapter looks very similar to a familiar tightrope walker from the book of circus....

if you still can't manage to see it....

I made this edit on PicsArt/Ibis paint x to show the similar hair spikes and neck shape, I can see the argument against 2 sections of this design, the first one being doll's chin being pointer than the silhouette's, but it could easily refuted as a change/difference in artstyle, second one being the hand shape of the two;

as you can see from the difference, the silhouette's hand shape is more calloused and the joints in the fingers are more detailed, indicating that the person could be male/masculine, but this is also probably because of an art style change/difference, the book of circus anime adaptation was released back in 2014, 8 years ago, that's a huge difference in art progress!

and on with how this could potentially affect the mission between finny and snake?

well, doll is most likely going to tell snake about smile and black killing the circus members and that's gonna be something.

if this really Doll, then I Think she’s alive and somehow ended up in the Orphanage, I will be surprised if she stayed the same personality wise, after the trauma caused by Our!Ciel.

the thing is I WANT DOLL TO BE ALIVE, We have been getting Bizarre Dolls left and right for I don't remember how long, it’s time for a change of pace.

The case for Ronthello

Ever since Chapter 191 came out, I have been particularly fascinated with how Yana has structured this panel.

This is the first panel and drawing we have gotten in a long time of all the Grim Reapers somewhat together. The way Yana has every set up in the composition reminds me of a family tree. We have Ronald in the middle, being our beautiful 'golden child' (that is a joke). Then, we have William and Grelle set above him, almost like a mom and dad would continue off on the metaphor. Then we have Sascha, Ludger, Alan, and Eric almost being put off to the side like weird aunts and uncles. ( Cousins?) But who is off to Ronald's right-hand side? It's Othello.

Now where I am getting off to this is for the longest time, Ronald really hasn't had a "partner" in Black Butler canon. And based on the Will The Reaper OVA we know the first time reapers do when they graduate is they get paired off. And it seems we continue on the theme of pairing off when it comes to Reaper, with Alan and Eric being introduced and Sascha and Ludger being introduced together too. This also continues as Yana heavily implies that Grelliam is somewhat canon. So where does that leave our precious blonde boy?

Often when he has been depicted with the group he's often like weirdly to the side while the others are grouped together. (IE the most beautiful death poster and the cafeteria drawing)

So going back to the earlier picture from chapter 191 and Ronald and Othello being close to one another in this way could hint at there maybe being a future brotherly or something more than that when it comes to their relationship in the future.

Anyway, I hope that makes sense. I'm out of practice when it comes to writing like this. I have a TikTok where I talk about it briefly under the same username. Feel free to put your two cents on it. This is all just my very ...messy opinion.

Okay.... Other than Doll's return completely ruining the plot I will say my theory.

So my thoughts are that Doll is gonna talk to Snake about the Circus members being killed by our Earl and the lil sassy hooker boots demon. Snake is gonna turn against our Earl and try to attack them or maybe this is how we will get to see our dear old Grandpa Undertaker again. Maybe Doll will take Snake to him and as we already know from Book of Atlantic, Undertaker is surprisingly good at manipulating people to follow his will like Rian Stoker. If we think about it Snake doesn't really help the plot in anything 🤔 Unless he know can help Doll get revenge but that will get us to double murder of Doll and Snake. I am sure that Undertaker won't let them harm our Earl.

Other than that, to support my theory, we have a "foretelling" or as we say in the greek poems Iliada and Odyssey, we call it "προϊκονομία". Doll caught the snake sneaking around, it might resemble how Snake will get caught. I might be overthinking it though and it was only to show us in chapter 192 who it actually was by hinting us that Doll was the one always finding the snakes around.

In my opinion this manga is getting pulled by its hair and feet to keep it on going and not finishing it 😔 I am afraid the plot will soon be out of sight....

cutest thing I've seen in a while.

Finny is the most precious and Snake is the most blorbo, I need to protect them both which is why I'm so scared.

so then, Snake has officially been to an orphanage before his captivity, and then the circus. interesting new information, I'm pretty sure.

unfortunetly I now have 2 questions. 1. how does his past at the orphanage tie in with his current situation. and 2. was his time at the orphanage bad because he was bullied and discriminated, or because something major happened? :/

Snake recognizing this building could probably be swept under the rug, atleast for my radar or suspicioun. Finny recognizing it too though? that's odd. they're definetly not in Germany(though to be fair I did forget what the actual location of this place is. I'll have to look for it if I'm so curious).

so why would both Finny and Snake recognize this building. maybe we're about to see a craaaazyyyyy flashback where finny and snake actually met before in the past😱 but I doubt it. so here are the only other explanations I could think of so far(everyone's free to share their thoughts too in case it wasn't obvious :D)

snake used to be part of a traveling "freak show", where he could have traveled to Germany and seen some place that Finny could have been associated with. this wouldn't make sense for his long term memory, but still.

Finny wasn't born in Germany and instead was brought up for a little while in the same place as snake. again, unlikely to remain in his long term memory(unless it's a repressed traumatic memory hhhhhh nah), plus I unfortunerly don't wanna see another Finny flashback. sorry Finny. but I don't know what else would be important.

the more realistic (but also most uninteresting so probably isn't the) answer, this building resembles one they saw together recently. in London perhaps. this could help solidify the possibility that it is collecting blood(aside from the fact that the other 2 servants have found that), since it would be part of a company or chain.

idk. i also forgot a big chunk of Finnys backstory so maybe it's already canon that he was born and raised in that institution🤷‍♂️ I'm not attached to possibility 2 anyway

but aside from all this let me just show again how amazing they are. Finny and Snake is the combo I always needed and never had. I'm so hyped for these half brain cells.

sorry but I'm confused here. I'm probably slow, but is that supposed to be Ciel's legs? as in, he's the advanced child that they "just fostered out"?

I have no clue how it could be o!ciel, and since they're not showing us his head to indicate an eyepatch, I guess that it could be r!ciel, if it's one of them anyway. this would indicate that r!ciel could have been rehabilitated here(given blood or treatment or protection or smth), and they just "released him"... gave him back to the undertaker. and now the test includes finding out Snake and Finny's blood type, and "the right attitude" being if they're compliment or oblivious.

idk, I can never tell if these are thoughts everyone has or no one has. all I know is that theorizing is not my strong suit, I'm just trying to make sense of this and haven't seen any other posts with this panel yet(I probably missed some right?).

that women just looks mean. Yana subverting expectations? most likely, Idc.

one more thing.

yeaaaa. If this isnt Doll then thats very cruel of yana. the left bangs look shorter than before(no need to hide burn scars any more due to patched skin?...), but the clothes is the same. why would the clothes be the same? to scare us. with the fandom's reaction, she would be eaten alive if she tricked us so hard.

so let's say it's her. already, we know this place collects blood, is connected to the undertaker, yadaydada, that's no longer the focus of these mini arcs. hasn't been since Ada revealed the secret so easily, Yana knows we know patterns. the undertaker brought her here to do what? why isn't she with him, or with r!ciel, plotting how to get back at o!ciel for killing her? who else is with her here?

and more currently, what's about to happen?... If doll is able to recognize that the snake is Snake's, she could either confront him next chapter, which would cause the tension and conflict to rise REAL QUICK. or, she could just hide away for the next few chapters, for whatever reason, until she comes out at the timely dramatic moment. cause as soon as snake recognizes her, I don't think we'll get him back to the funtum fam. not soon....

I was literally at home when I read chapter 192 of Kuroshitsuji and you won't believe who appears in the last panel!! it's been like 13 years!! bloody hell.... (I know nothing is confirmed but I want to believe it's what I think it is!!! and if I don't put on clown makeup xD)

Well, jesus christ it would have been nice not to have the new chapter spoiled this way but I'll take anything but hate. ...

...I'm not holding my breath for a huge reveal or 'tell' if I'm right or not, knowing yana that will probably not be shown to the reader until a much more dramatic reveal, but it's possible something could be said at some point during their stay to indicate as such. This is all me just speculating, but. Especially now that word is getting around that there are twins to begin with, it's unclear how much Doll is aware of concerning the twins and their history, and if they know what Our!Ciel's birthname was, and if they even care about all that. It's easy to imagine.... Doll is going to tell Snake everything, Finny is going to be at an incredible disadvantage and freak out because he, Bard, And 'Rin helped kill Snakes friends, and he can't really refute that. He's too honest... I have no doubt Finny will still defend Our!Ciel and bring up all the kind things he did for him and say he didn't have much of a choice, because the circus members were there specifically to kill them and Elizabeth. But Our!Ciel spared Snake (in Finny's mind) because he knew he meant no harm or something along those lines... Doll will have to square with the fact internally, that in order to keep their 'family' as long as they did, they had to kidnap innocent kids and gift-wrap them to an actual pedophile, so I'd hope they'd at least understand that what Finny did, was not that different in the sense Doll was just trying to protect their family, even if the things they did were monstrous, they felt they had no choice. It was those kids, or them. Finny was just trying to protect his family, his home. But it's curious to see how Doll's mindset could have evolved since then, because it seems now they likely are now in a new family... and how much control they have over themselves, to begin with is questionable... ...And Snake is going to have to make a very hard choice, and decide what he wants to do from here, and where 'home' really is. But in the end, a lot of people lied to him. I'd be mad. It's within his right to say fuck all of you, it's just me and all my snake-friends from now on and struggle to pick a side right away. Finny has a tendency to bring up his name a lot in the recent and how much it means to him, if Doll felt like they could "ruin" that or corrupt it in some way to try to convince him to turn coat, could tell him that the only reason why he and Snake were spared wasn't because Our!Ciel was a genuinely kind person, but because he saw that they could both be useful to him, that might be interesting. Making his name feel less special might do it. But again, I am not sure. I've been both looking forward to Snake and Finny's chapters in particular, and agonizing over them, for a very long time.
