❤️ Kyman Week | Day 1 💚

💖 First Sight 💖

Gonna spend the first week of July by drawing one of my favorite guilty pleasure pairings! Wanted to draw something wholesome and cheesy. Love at first sight am I right?

I even wrote a really short one shot to go along with the drawing! <D

As Kyle grabbed Cartman tightly by the arm, he simply stood there with his eyes moving up to look at Cartman’s face. Oddly enough, he started to observe the fat kid’s face. How his hair showed slightly out of his hat, his face that appeared so round and soft to touch, he even noticed the little freckles on Cartman’s face that were barely noticeable to others… but not to him.

As he stepped even closer, he stared into his beautiful brown eyes. As he stared at them he saw a lost and beautiful soul that, despite all his faults, needs help and guidance.

Kyle needs to give him that, even if Cartman is a massive stubborn prick.

As Kyle took one step closer, the rest of the world seemed to vanish. A light pink glow started to grow on Kyle’s face. He wanted to hold Eric’s face so badly, tell him that everything is going to be okay and be there for him. But for now, all he can do is just…stare.

1. What’s their love languages?

Kyle’s is definitely quality time— looking at Cartman while he’s engrossed in an activity, pondering cartman, seeing through cartman, never noticing the fond smile that graces his lips. Dropping what he’s doing to listen to Cartman ramble about his day, even though Kyle was there the entire time, butting in to correct him when Cartman over-animates the details— which, Kyle doesn’t need Cartman to flair anything up. He’s had his undivided, devoted attention from the moment he opened his stupid mouth. Scheming over grand things, meaningless things, Kyle’s at his happiest when he notices he’s lost track of time. Cartman’s presence is the perfect combination of distraction and stimulation for his unyielding brain.

Cartman’s is physical affection. Burying himself in Kyle’s neck. Gripping Kyle by the shoulders, pride overtaking him as he listens to the cause Kyle fought for and won. Holding Kyle’s back tightly against his chest, steeling himself against Kyle’s short-fused rage as he cursed obscenities at the asshole/s dumb enough to piss him off. Lucid Kyle would thank him later. Jersey Kyle is too busy trying to claw himself from Cartman’s practiced hold. Tugging Kyle’s hair impishly, trailing his hands along Kyle’s cheek fondly. Morbidly tracing the fucking scar on the lower right side of Kyle’s abdomen (that’s still his rightful kidney bitch. how dare he steal it!)

11. What’s a song that describes their relationship? Or, what’s the song that they’ve deemed “their” song?

Comedically? Canonically? like something I’d show to Matt and Trey and they’d approve of? The H.I.V Song by Ween. (hehehehe)

The song that best describes Kyman from Kyle’s pov would be Undisclosed Desires by Muse

thru Cartman’s pov would be Knock Me Out by Temposhark

as for “Their Song” I’d be remiss to exclude I Swear. It was handed to us on a silver platter fr. Cartman wasn’t joking; for better or worse, till death do they part, he’ll always be there jfkfhdh

But also the sentimental part of me wants to label their whole weird Thing via The Thing by Sufjan Stevens. It talks of a complicated relationship, born of things like paranoia, miscommunication, bound by a shared loss of innocence, yet despite itself proves to be a point of growth for both subjects. One is shown how to open their mind. the other is taught how to be human. but this song touches on not JUST a relationship—stuff like, human nature, good, evil, black and white yet grey. All that complex yet simple shit that makes Kyman what it is. Even then, I feel this song still isn’t enough to encompass what they are. i’m probably reaching because I love this song and I love Kyman and that somehow makes them able to merge.

18. What does a date night out look like for them?

It’s a night they’ve planned well in advance, created an itinerary for and intend to follow. Cartman takes all afternoon getting ready, and the better part of an evening primping, but he accounts for when Kyle will show up and is ready as soon as he’s at the door. Kyle takes the NORMAL amount of time getting ready for a date. probably less, because he spends some time gelling his hair. Only to cover it up with his hat. but it’s fine if only Cartman will see it later. But even then he won’t really see it, the hair’s simply for him to mess up later ehiehuehehheee

as for the date itself, who knows!! Evening Dinner and a movie? Goin to a rodeo? Star Gazing? Denver Nuggets game? All I know is that South Park won’t let them go unscathed. Something WILL interrupt them, or hijinks will ensue, their itinerary becomes useless. There’s less than ten deaths on a good night.

My biggest opinion on South Park is to just let the fandom do whatever they want with the characters honestly, and I don't mean like bad shit or weird shit with the kids. Obviously.

I mean like, normal fan shit.

Like, if someone wants to write a fanfiction where Eric Cartman was an awful and terrible child of literally eight years old but grows up and gets better and actually ends up as a sweet guy then just let them, if people want to ship things like kyman then literally who cares? Especially if they're doing the redemption arc Cartman thing.

If people want to draw anime teenage versions of the boys then who cares, it's actually really funny

Gender and sexuality HCs? Awesome, everyone everywhere does that, yet I've seen people say it's "just cringe" with this fandom? Yeah, this is FANDOM of course it's cringe, "but the show itself would make fun of-" nobody cares! The show makes fun of EVERYTHING dude! Have fun! You think Stan Marsh is a girl? Awesome! Butters as well? Epic!

This is SOUTH PARK. Go crazy.

If you personally disagree with something or dislike it, then just move on. Who cares if people are doing cringey fandom shit with the adult comedy cartoon. Who cares if they're shipping Cartman with people. Seriously it's never that deep

Side note, because its funny as fuck:

I've been watching this show since I was the age of the main characters, I've been in the fandom since we were drawing Kenny as a lanky anime boy with purple eyes. I remember being like.. maybe seven at MOST sitting on my dads carpet while he watched this show and i played with littlest pet shops.

I remember those slide show fanart music videos of twink anime boy Kenny to "time of dying" by three days grace. This fuckin show introduced me to three days grace lmfao

I've seen some wild shit around here, the uwu-ification of Kyle for weird Style shipping purposes, etcetera etcetera. But this shit is literally so.. normal, in fandom spaces?? Yeah it's weird or silly or something but, meh.

I cosplayed Wendy to my first day of fifth grade.

I wore a neon pink jacket almost identical to Kennys in middle school. This show is like fucking stuck with me for life lmfao

I made a paper cut out of Kenny and another of Tweek and glued them to popsicle sticks and carried them around everywhere when I was a kid. (My dad hated those things, "perfect show for a kid to be watching" as if he didn't introduce it to me)

Whenever my mom lost me outside she'd do the "Oh my god, they killed Kenny" thing to find me, but I wasn't allowed to swear as a kid so I couldn't finish the line, I'd just run to her.

This show is a special interest for my autistic ass and it really, really shows. I stopped in my tracks in a Walmart to buy hats that reminded me of Craig, when I was supposed to buy new shoes and pants. (I did not, in fact, buy shoes.)

Aww! I love the doodle you make! It’s so cute and I could honestly him writing like that💖 The fic was just gonna be a fluff feast but I’m putting it off for now lol! Yoyo, so one of my personal favorite headcanons is that Eric will constantly steal Kyle's hat because he likes to see his fluffy hair, and of course this makes Kyle mad since he's super insecure about his jewfro.

Eric even goes so far as to hide his hat and/or keep it at his house over night so that Kyle has to come to school hatless and Eric has never felt more in love.

(Bonus double hc for this is that when they do date Eric convinces Kyle to rarely wear the hat and Eric always plays around with and touches his curls every moment he can) >:3
