Prompt Fic: Butterfly ended up in an alternate world and he managed to meet himself. In which Butterfly makes an attempt for his other self to see the light and how he should learn to grieve and move on. (Plus, I like to see Butterfly teaching Gabriel to be a better father)

Then again, the alternate is his attempts failing and Butterfly getting frustrated at how hard-headed this other self of him is and since Gabriel spends most of his time holed up in his basement. Butterfly decides to step up and be the best father figure to Adrien which cue him being so confused at his change of heart about his girlfriend and invites her for lunch. (Butterfly can also cook much better pancakes than OG Gabriel which definitely made Adrien cry at how good they were)

Bonus is if Marinette starts speaking out against Gabriel thinking this lunch is another attempt at getting her to break up with Adrien and getting blindsided at how kind and understanding he is about their relationship and insisting that they are made for each other and his son couldn’t have chosen a great girl like her.

I also like the idea of Butterfly crying to himself at seeing his son smile and act so happy at him because it also builds his resolve to keep reaching out to his own son when he gets back to his world.

So I am writing a fic in which Marinette is an INTERPOL agent and Adrien is her Criminal Informant. My hubby and I were discussing possible crimes they could investigate when he suggested that someone steal a highly collectible items from the largest collection of Star Trek memorabilia in the world. I said "Ok, but what is the hook?" For those of us who didn't know, at one point the largest collection of stuff belonged to the crew of the USS Enterprise... *the aircraft carrier.*

This, of course, led to probably the weirdest text in history:

How do you feel about the Miraculous team confirming they are gonna have 12 seasons?

There wasnt any confirmation, it was a joke made in an interview (basically it was like "oh, when we are in the writing room we come with so many ideas, they could make 12 seasons!") and some fans read it wrong and started saying that there were gonna be 12 seasons when it's false.

So yeah, no, they arent even finishing writing season 6, only 7 seasons are confirmed and the 12 seasons is false and exaggerated by the fandom.

I've tuned into Miraculous Ladybug's 5th season. LOL, the shenanigans, oh the shenanigans.

I love the headcanon that there's a niche theory in the Miraculous Ladybug world that Chat Noir and Adrien Agreste are secretly dating. Like people witness Chat Noir ducking in through Adrien's window and make the connection that they are dating. Others insist it's just Chat Noir keeping an eye on the secretive Agreste family.

Marinette is just softly facepalming for Chat Noir getting himself into this situation. She's proud of the idea she'd never end up there... A month later Ladybug is seen hanging around and entering the Dupain-Cheng bakery. Which leads to a similar theory among Mari's friends. Her parents even end up having to have a 'talk' with her.

Your reblog about the senti thing make me LOLing so hard because of the senti defender when shoved a fact that contradict their theory mostly act like "Yeah, I didn't think that far" except they never said it out loud!

I remember when s4 still airing and these senti defender said "senti lives matter!" But whenever I ask, "what about that lolipop thing? Feast? Senti Moth?" They always said "They don't have the same level of intelligence as senti human, probably only at the level of animal"

So basically they said it's ok to kill a senti as long as they either don't looks like human or they have low intelligence. This came from the same people who preach that sentimonster is a good methapor for abuse or disabilities.

In the end it boil down to "if hero kill it, it's good but if villain kill it, it's bad" double standard and I couldn't even fathom what so good about the whole sentimonster!human thing except to make an obedient puppet.

"Yeah, hope Chat can have a upgrade power that could destroy the connection between amok and the senti" they said. Except he already did. TA said in his tweet the reason why Reflekdoll or any senti that gone berserk due to the cataclysm is /exactly/ because the connection was destroyed. It didn't free them, it make them berserk. And ironically, this tweet also what make people think the reason why Chat Blanc is so feral is because half of his amok got destroyed, instead of the long isolation and guilt that eat him.

Also a so called child psychologist preach the whole sentimonster is good methapor for abuse thing make me facepalmed, hard. Why need methapor if it's so obvious? Is miraculous going to put on disclaimer : Attention, no real child is being harmed here. Why take the whole abuse theme if they're not going to do it correctly? Who the heck approved this kind of theme??

Sorry for the long rant and thank you for reading my incoherent rant.

The Sentimonster theory is a shitty metaphor for abuse or disability. What it says to me is that if your disability isn't convenient or "normal," then you don't matter. Hence the "human" Sentimonsters like Adrien, Felix and Kagami who can fit into society are accepted, but the other Sentimonsters are disposable, despite them having the same amount of sentience and life as any of the human ones.

So Senti lives matter, but only if they're a particular type of Senti. If not, then they're not really alive and can be disposed of without a single thought spared to them (even though that's not true, because Felix treated Red Sun like a sister, and Feast, Sentibubbler, etc. clearly had emotions). Which means... only socially acceptable Senti rights matter. The rest of them only exist to be killed by the heroes. The heroes get to decide which Sentis matter and which ones don't, and the only ones that matter to them are the ones that look like them.

And like... if you're going to have an arc about making us understand that these creatures are just like us and have a life and emotions of their own, then don't create classes and divisions between them from the get-go. Don't portray some of them as more worthy than the others. Nothing in the show suggests that the creation of Adrien, Felix or Kagami was in any way different from the creation of Feast or any other Sentimonster. The argument that they are different because they were created to be humans is also bogus, because of Sentibug. She was created not to be a human, but to be a copy of Ladybug, yet she still had free will. All the justifications for this theory fall apart if we think about it for more than 5 seconds.

And the whole Chat Blanc thing you mentioned is part of a larger problem in this fandom, which involves attributing common reactions to abuse in abuse victims to them being artificially created beings. Adrien listens too much to his father? It must be because he's a Sentimonster and is being controlled, not because Gabriel has conditioned him to be subservient to him all his life! They are literally saying victims of abuse and their reactions to abuse are "unnatural," and can only happen if they weren't human at all. I despise this implication, especially since the show doubled down on it.

And it's not like this was a necessary writing choice. What does Adrien being a Sentimonster contribute to his's character? What did the revelation that he's being mind-controlled help us understand about him? What new facet to his character did we learn about? Nothing, really. There is no exploration of what Adrien being a Sentimonster means for him. He doesn't even find out about it. The only reason Adrien became a Sentimonster is so that the writers could justify leaving him out of the finale and so that they could have an obstacle for Adrienette. And I will say, introducing the whole "Sentimonsters deserve free-will" plot point and then using the characters' Senti status as an excuse to deprive them of agency in their own battles is... certainly a choice.

The Sentimonster theory isn't this groundbreaking exploration of the concept of humanity and free-will, nor is it this subversive metaphor for something that was already being portrayed blatantly in the show. It's something the writers used as a plot device to justify removing the three most plot relevant characters from the story so that Marinette could have the finale to herself. That's it. There's nothing more to it than that.

Which is why the concept is so poorly developed. The whole Senti rights thing is brought for about five minutes in Emotion and maybe two minutes in Pretension. After this, Felix, the main advocate for Senti rights himself falls back on all his ideals and creates a Sentimonster to use and then kill. The heroes have spent three seasons killing these livings creatures without a single care in the world. The moral implications of this are never questioned in any way, even though the show pretends it's presenting this thoughtful and nuanced commentary on the matter. No one cares about Sentimonsters. Sentibug is presented as this big deal, but they don't think about her for more than five seconds and then she is never brought up again. Sentimonsters do not matter in this show. Not to the villains, not to the heroes, not even those who start of advocating for them stick to that cause. The narrative doesn't care about Sentimonsters. Any justification made for it just paints in a worse light. It's a shitty metaphor for anything, and it's just a shitty plot point in general.

For her part, Marinette just snorted as Chat Noir proceed to curl up next to her and make himself very comfortable. “At least he isn’t trying to sink us both to the bottom of the Seine this time.”

Chat simply winked at her. “I bet I could handle it, now.”

Evillustrator just gaped at the sight of Marinette’s arm now draping over the heroes’ shoulder, through the very see-through box he had drawn to trap them both. Reverser stood at his side, just facepalming. “I really need to work on my aim. I wanted to reverse Marinette’s feelings for Adrien!”

Evillustrator shook his head. “I never thought Chat Noir would take a hit for anyone but Ladybug...”

Then again, Chat Noir looked very comfortable, happily curling up beside Marinette, half sprawled across her lap.

Reverser just shouted. “You know you’re not actually locked in, right?”

Marinette just shrugged, fondly pressing her hand to Chat Noir’s cheek before letting her lips press to the tip of his nose once again. “Cats are very fond of boxes.”

Chat smirked up at her. “Among other things.”

Evillustrator looked increasingly torn before Monarch’s wings lit up a mask over his face. “We’re just going to go and draw out Ladybug.”

As Chat Noir’s grin only widened at the pun, Marinette shouted. “Would you mind making the box opaque before you go?”

Shuddering, Evillustrator compiled before he and Reverser raced off to the Paris

After a few stolen moments of cuddles at kisses, they both sighed, relishing a rare attack where they weren’t forced to race all over Paris... 

“How long do you figure we have until they start looking for Adrien?” Chat whispered.

Marinette sighed, leaning her head against his chest. Her dismay quickly turned into amusement as she started to plan. “Well, since they haven’t found Ladybug yet... maybe she will be very nice and pick Adrien up from his balcony.”

In one self-assured move, Chat summoned his Cataclysm once the magic box was no more. “Promises, promises.” He grinned, deploying his baton to the shore to save them both the indignity of another dip in the Seine.

As neither one was willing to let go, even though they were both back of solid ground, Chat Noir catapulted them both up to race the rooftops as his ring started to protest with increasing frequency.

“Think Adrien will still be hiding in the showers?” Marinette whispered into his ear. 

Chuckling, he set her down. “I think if you’re very Lucky, you might just find out.”

It was a beautiful day in Amity Park, and Danny Fenton was rushing to get to class. But, unfortunately, he faced off seven ghosts last night, and he overslept.

"Finally..." He muttered in a tired tone.

When he made it to the school, he burst open the doors and raced to his classroom, only to bump into his Bully, Dash Baxter.

"Fenturd!" He gave a grin at his favorite target.

Danny groaned.

'I should have let that giant snake ghost eat me... ' He thought.

Dash grabbed him by the collar and shoved him into a random locker.

"Oh, come on! I'm already late as it is!" Danny complained as he was about to use his powers to get out of the locker.

Before Danny could phase himself out of the locket, someone had opened it. It was Valerie.

"Val?" Danny was surprised to see her this early.

"Dash shoved you into a locker again, didn't he?" Valarie asked.

"Yeah, and I'm getting sick and tired of him doing that, like a rerun of an unfunny sitcom," Danny said.

"He'll get his comeuppance eventually. Just you wait," Valerie assured.

"Knowing how Lancer is, that won't be until graduation..." Danny grumbled before sighing.

"Yeah, he's pretty bad at his job," Valerie said as she gave him a small smile. "I'll see you later, Danny..."

She says as she left, Danny raced off to get to class.

However, he was late when he made it to the classroom."Later again, eh, Mr. Fenton?" Mr. Lancer said as he gave him a detention slip.

"Oh great, another detention this week alone." Danny sighed as he took his seat.

Sam and Tucker felt bad for their friend. So they both patted him on the back to make him feel better.

As the class was going on, Mr. Lancer had a big announcement to his students, making them wonder what the big announcement was.

"Students, we have great news that will help you in the future." Lancer started.

You're getting fired?!" One student was heard shouting in the back, angering Lancer.

"Well... it seems Mr. Fenton has company today. I meant we're going to have a new exchange student from Paris..."

The girls beside Sam were squealing and excited to go to the world's fashion capital. Also, some were excited about whether Adrien Agreste would be chosen. Not only was he a model, but he was one of the hottest guys in the world.

"If Adrien is the one that comes here, then I can win his heart and become a model." one girl squealed.

"Even though Adrien is hot, he has nothing on my ghost boy, not that I won't show some compassion," Paulina said sweetly.

Danny facepalmed because he was annoyed by Paulina's crush over his ghost half. At first, he liked it but learned more about how shallow she was. Finally, Danny lost that crush on her and felt annoyed at her putting herself in danger to get close to him.

Some guys were talking about female superheroes that Danny didn't know anything about the French superheroes.

"You don't know who the French superheroes are?" Tucker said, shocked that Danny didn't know about them.

"I was busy dealing with ghosts, so I didn't know about these superheroes from France, Japan, or anywhere else," Danny told Tucker.

"These French superheroes are using magical jewelry that has been used for thousands of years. In addition, they have a new statue with one of the users of the ladybug hero in the museum." Sam explained.

"How do you know this, Sam?" Danny asked.

"I have a book that has information about the jewels, which are called Miraculous," Sam said.

"Take a look at this, Danny. These are the superheroes from in Paris." Tucker showed him a video of the heroes of France on his PDA.

Danny saw all the heroes facing off villains and saving Paris. But, the one that he was looking at the most was Ladybug. His cheeks turn bright pink. He thought Ladybug was cute.

Whoa... she's... cool. That outfit...

"Danny, Danny!" Sam waved her hand in front of him.

"Oh, um?"Danny snapped out of his dazed.

"You were gawking at Ladybug, Danny," Sam glared at him.

"Well, I was only admiring Ladybug, not gawking," Danny said to Sam.

"Yeah, right, and I'm wearing light blue." Sam scoffed.

"The Adventure of Huckfin, everyone calms down!" Lancer said.

The students stopped talking and began to listen to Lancer.

"The student that will be going as the exchange student is Sam Manson," Lancer announced as all the female students complained to him about being chosen.

"Why is goth geek get to go to Paris and not me or Star? I'm the most popular and deserving of going to Paris." Paulina said to their teacher.

"She was chosen and not you, Ms. Sanchez because school drew her name and not yours or Ms. Strong," Lancer explained.

Paulina puffed up her cheeks, and Star didn't say anything about her not being chosen.

"And why do I have to go to France?" Sam asked.

"The school is the one that chose you, Ms. Manson," Lancer answered.

Sam deeply sighed that she was chosen to be going to France instead of being here with her friends.

After class was over, Sam began to complain to Danny and Tucker. She wanted Danny to overshadow the people who chose her for the student exchange program, but Danny didn't know who to overshadow Sam to get her out of the program, so Sam had to go to France.

"Look on the bright side, Sam. At least you don't have to deal with the cheerleader over here. And you don't have to listen to Lancer's dull lessons." Tucker said.

After school was over, Danny, Tucker, and Sam went to Sam's house to pack her things for the student exchange program.

Sam's parents were really going to miss their daughter for the student exchange program in Paris. However, they saw a silver lining to this. She was going to the same school as Adrien, and maybe she could meet him and finally have some better friends than Danny and Tucker.

After Danny and Tucker finished helping, Sam packed her things. Then, the two male best friends left and told Sam they would meet her at the airport tomorrow morning.

Danny, Tucker, and Sam's parents went to the airport to say goodbye to Sam.

"We'll see you later, Sam. And please give me some of the french girl's number while you are at it," Tucker said, which got him punched in the arm by Sam.

"Be careful with that Hawkmoth guy," Danny warned.

"I will, Danny," Sam said as she left to get on her flight to Paris, France.

They’re mumbling amongst themselves, but Marinette has a hunch on what they’re talking about. Her father, Babs, and Tim are looking more into what happened in Paris and they probably want to ask her about it since she comes from the city. Their problem is that they can’t be too suspicious when they ask me. 

Finally, they approach her. Bruce sits across from her, while both Barbara and Tim share a laptop. 

“Marinette, we wanted to ask a few things about Paris,” Bruce begins. “For—for business. We have a branch in the city and we’re concerned about the aftermath of the Hawkmoth thing.” 

Tim doesn’t even hide his facepalm. 

“Sure, what do you guys want to know?” 

Barbara takes over. “For starters, what can you tell us about the Miraculouses? It’s still unclear about how the magic works.” 

Marinette hears Tim mutter under his breath: “Real subtle, guys.” 

“The Miraculouses? Let me see . . .” Marinette taps her chin. “Which Miraculous specifically?” 

“The Black Cat. Let’s start with that.” 

“Ooh, the ring of the Black Cat. That one’s unpredictable. Chat gets these insane side effects and he practically becomes a cat! I saw him cough up a hairball once and I’m pretty sure he does the slow blinking thing. Ah, and when you wear that ring, you automatically get a cheese scent on you.” 

Barbara stops typing and readjusts her glasses. “That’s—that’s not in the records . . .” 

“Are you sure about this, Mari?” Tim asks. 

“Absolutely. Chat usually stops by my place before. I’d prepare a box for him.” 

“You never told me that.” Bruce frowns. 

“Okay, next. What about the Turtle? The one with the shield?” Barbara says. 

“There’s a special ritual you have to do before the shield power can work,” Marinette cheerily explains. “You have to wear a shell hat on the week before you plan to use the power and walk really slowly to channel the power of the Turtle. Sometimes it works. Sometimes, it doesn’t. It really depends. Apparently, if you wear a bulletproof vest, it works better.” 

“I see . . .” Tim drums his fingers on his knee. “And the Butterfly Miraculous?” 

“I don’t know a lot about it because Hawkmoth was a crazy recluse.” Marinette sighs. “Ladybug confirmed some side effects though: a bald head, a disgusting fashion taste on the suit itself and the akumas, an overwhelming urge to–quote, unquote–’yeet’ children, and a streak of failure if the Miraculous is used for evil.” 

“All the information you said is new to us, sweetheart. Are you really sure about this?” Bruce questions, evidently unconvinced. 

Marinette leans back with a hidden mischievous grin. “Trust me. I’m an expert.”
