A lamb can have an opinion.

A lamb can ponder and prance.

Prancing and hopping around the shepherd’s hook.

Watchful eyes piercing through it’s wooly hide.

A protector, stands with sharp teeth, and perked ears.

A protector against the outside world, and the threats that coil around it like a snake.

Yet… the lamb is too playful prancing and racing, and the protector… chases.

What a fun little game it seems until the protector’s fangs sink into the little lamb’s neck.

Whipping the lamb around as if it is a toy. Not a living breathing soul.

A protector claiming a life, a protector that was supposed to protect not harm.

An innocent life, slaughtered in a meaningless game.

By the very heart sworn to protect.

PS: For clarity's sake, there are many symbols in COTL that don't actually have a certain meaning. Many of which were simply marks to indicate who made something (primarily churches and so on). This is particularly directed to the symbols thrown around when ichor hits the ground, when you open a chest, when you construct something, and even would go as far as to say chemach's followers symbols.

That is to say, they still have a meaning, however up to interpretation.

EDIT: Here is the sheet I found for reference to the "meaningless" symbols that I mentioned earlier. For anyone curious. You can find some of these in cards too. I'll go into it next time.

This is one of the few sheets of actually useful info I found during my small period of time in which I pulled an all nighter because it's actually frustrating to find anything about the symbols in COTL, because some are mere inspiration or aren't faithful to the original symbol. If you are truly interested in the meaning behind most drawings/symbols you find in this game I STRONGLY suggest you simply don't. Unless you know where to look.

I get that calling white lotus lbh a sticky little 'sheep' is a canon translation and stuck in the fandom now anyway, but I do feel the intended spirit of the original word wasn't the sheeple/dumb herd animal that's more common in the western world, but instead something actually conveying sweetness, innocence, purity and youth - lamb.

Famous for being utterly adorable and following around their mothers, gambolling in sunny meadows, curly white wool shining.

And NOW we can talk about black sheep/wolf in sheep's clothing metaphors.

It's going to be flower themed! At least for the masks lol. And the flowers will be assigned as ;

White catchfly, Dogbane and Lily of the Valley for Lambert

Red spider lilies, Black rose and Asphodel flower for Narinder

Chaos rose, Cowslip, Buttercups and Barberry for Leshy

Pink Petunias, Cuscuta and Orange Lilies for Heket

Yellow Rose, Yarrow and Abatina for Kallamar

Aconite (Monkshood), Rhododendrons, Sage and Begonia for Shamura
