Pen Druid Spontaneous Vinis Lambic Ale (Thanks, Michael!). A 4 of 4. Very much towards the wine direction of a beer-wine hybrid, but still plenty of tartness and acidity on the palate. There's quite a bit of grape sweetness to this, though the tannins and acid help balance. One of the better spontaneously fermented American beers that I've had.

Note
Just wanted to say that your beer opinions are true and correct IPAs are evil and taste of catpiss and pine needles. What are your thoughts on sour ales or lambics?
sour ales in general are very good on average; however, they have the highest variance of any type of beer. the worst part is that every bad kettle sour/lambic tastes exactly the same: like someone poured ketchup and vinegar into a glass of seltzer water.
i was going to go off on a tangent about "why has nobody released a beer named Lambic Pentameter" but i googled it and it turns out someone has. so good on whoever beat me to that idea

Got all the stuff for my Winter Solstice dinner
Venison medallions
Fresh tarragon
mushrooms
asparagus
homemade minced garlic
balsamic glaze/reduction
bottle of raspberry Lambic
Gonna make a marinade of tarragon, garlic, salt/pepper, honey, and balsamic, with a touch of soy sauce and a splash of ginger ale.
The asparagus will be roasted with butter, mushrooms, tarragon, garlic, salt/pepper, and balsamic glaze.
I hope Odin appreciates it.
(Will be followed up with my mugwort/juniper/mint tea, infused with a generous hit of my RSO tincture.)

Supporting regional ingredient producers, Alesong Brewing & Blending release five new beers this May.

Press Release
Eugene’s Alesong Brewing & Blending is releasing five new barrel-aged blends on May 5th, kicking off the spring with their second major release of the new year. This release features new versions of some Alesong favorites and a few brand-new beers:
Mocha Rhino Suit: Mocha Rhino Suit takes our flagship, bourbon-barrel-aged imperial milk stout and gives it a heavy dose of Colombian coffee and cocoa nibs from the local artisans at Coffee Plant Roasters and Chocolate Alchemy, taking an already decadent and chocolatey beer to new heights of deliciousness.
Valley Preserves: An ode to the bounty of Willamette Valley harvest, Valley Preserves is a refreshing and jammy ale aged on biodynamically grown blueberries from our neighbors at King Estate and Oregon cherries from Hood River. Luscious fruit character explodes from this vibrant magenta-hued beer!
Stony Point Saison: A rustic, unfiltered farmhouse ale brewed almost entirely with Oregon-grown ingredients: malts from Goschie Farms, grains from Camas Country Mill, hops from Crosby Hops, and honey from our neighbors at Queen's Bounty. Join us as we continue our quest to capture terroir through the lens of beer.
Beergarden Bramble: Brewed in collaboration with our friends at Beergarden to celebrate Eugene Beer Week, this beer was inspired by a refreshing and spritzy blackberry bramble cocktail and is a blend of sour ales fermented on Oregon-grown blackberries and aged in Old Tom gin barrels from Oregon’s Ransom Spirits.
Double Barrel Maestro (Club Exclusive): Although Maestro already showcases wonderful barrel character from its year in Heaven Hill barrels, we thought we’d really up the ante with a second round of aging in 10-year Henry Mckenna barrels. What we’re left with is a robust expression of bourbon and barrel character: toffee, vanilla, charcoal, and a mild alcohol warmth to remind you of the scale of this massive barleywine.
Alesong will host a release party for Blender’s Circle members at their country brewery on the weekend of May 5-7 and the beers will be available for all at Alesong’s downtown tasting room that same weekend. Mocha Rhino Suit and Valley Preserves will also be available at retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest. For more information on Blender’s Circle membership, visit www.alesongbrewing.com/join. More information on all of the new beers can be found at www.alesongbrewing.com/beers.
ABOUT ALESONG BREWING AND BLENDING: Alesong Brewing and Blending is a small artisan brewery based in the heart of Southern Willamette Valley wine country with a second tasting room in downtown Eugene. The all-barrel-aged brewery crafts unique and small-batch beers, brewing both wild and non-wild styles that span the flavor spectrum. Once the beer in barrels has matured, the team samples and selects each barrel individually to blend. Paying homage to old-world Lambic blenders and artisan winemakers, Alesong believes that the final, balanced blend of a barrel-aged beer is much more complex and satisfying than the sum of its parts or each individual barrel by itself. www.alesongbrewing.com.

Day 21 of my beer advent calendars started with Perlenzauber (which was in the 2019 & 2020 calendar but not last years so welcome back) from Privatbrauerei H. Egerer out of Grossköllnbach, Germany. A solid pale ale I’m happy to have back in the mix. Next was Advent Beers Cranberry Wheat Ale. This was the beer I was looking forward to trying the most when I saw the beer list on the box. The beer I miss the most this time of year is Sam Adams Cranberry Lambic, but sadly this is not that. While not the worst Cranberry beer I’ve had, it was just good, not great.

Specialty Beer Market Forecasted to Expand Rapidly, Projecting US$ 48 Billion Value by 2033, with 11% CAGR
The global specialty beer market is expected to grow from a valuation of US$ 17 billion in 2023 to US$ 48 billion by the end of 2033, with a high-value compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11%.
Supermarkets, wine stores, and specialty shops are examples of off-trade channels for beer sales; these outlets offer products at a discount compared to on-trade channels. The primary factor propelling fruit beer sales via off-trade channels is prominent product display at supermarkets and hypermarkets.

Emerging Trends:
Breweries worldwide are embracing innovation, introducing a diverse array of specialty beers to cater to evolving consumer preferences. One notable trend is the incorporation of cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound derived from the cannabis plant, into beer recipes. This infusion not only adds a unique flavor profile but also appeals to health-conscious consumers due to its low-calorie content.
Key Companies Profiled:
Molson Coors
Boston Beer Company, Inc.
Sierra Nevada Brewing Co.
Bell's Brewery

Additionally, companies are making substantial investments in marketing campaigns and securing celebrity endorsements.
Furthermore, leading beer companies are diversifying their offerings by launching new flavors and variations to captivate consumers' interest. For example:
Bira 91, a prominent beer brand, collaborated with Far Yeast Brewing Company, known for its innovative brewing techniques, to release its inaugural Gose-style beer, Yuzu Gose Sour.
Competitive Landscape:
Specialty beer producers are focusing on expanding their product portfolios with a variety of flavors to attract a larger customer base and foster brand loyalty. These top suppliers are actively exploring the use of unique ingredients and process improvements to ensure the quality of their current offerings. Additionally, specialty beer producers are committed to upholding product standards and optimizing supply chain management.
Market Trends:
The specialty beer market is experiencing growth driven by several factors. One significant factor is the increasing demand for unique and innovative flavors in specialty beer. Consumers are drawn to specialty beer for its distinct taste, authenticity, and established brand presence.
Another contributing factor is the preference among millennials for moderate yet high-quality alcohol consumption. Specialty beer appeals to this demographic due to perceived health benefits compared to mass-produced alternatives. Additionally, the growing trend of social gatherings, particularly among millennials and professionals, is anticipated to further drive market growth.
Furthermore, recent advancements in the beer brewing industry have led to the introduction of new beer varieties. The proliferation of a wide range of beer options has significantly bolstered the adoption of specialty beers in the market.
Key Segments of Specialty Beer Industry Research:

to launch and promote the sale of their new series of beers
to create an experience from drinking Belgian beers
to spread the love about the uniqueness of Belgian beers
brand personality:
rustic and quirky

brand narrative:
Belgium&Blues was founded on the love for Belgian beer but from the hearts of 3 friends who wanted to get more out of a beer bar. So Belgium&Blues comes from a place close to the heart and has been nurtured into embracing anyone who wants to enjoy beer and music
This means it would make sense for the bar to partner with local breweries as a celebration of local talent, like they do with live music and comedy nights
By Belgium&Blues having their own series of beers, they will be able to craft their own beer experience for customers to experience which will be tailored around their brand core values and support the music they play to enhance their experience. This will be a unique selling point and allow them to stand out against other brands.
touch points:
range of 4 beers with different flavours and packaging

user flow:
discovery of the brand through advertisement assets on social media and billboards
research: find out more information on their social media and website
purchase: attending the beer festivals/ pop-ups/ bar and buying the product

products:
Urban blues and Tarot D'Or:
blonde ale in a 25cl bottle and 8% alcohol
high fermentation, lambic and miture of exotic fruits flavour and aroma (mango, lime, honey melon) with a fruity aroma and characterful after taste
this mimics the urban blues because there is typically lots of instruments with a complex harmony (represented by the range of fruits and characterful after taste)
Delta Blues and Rosee:
25cl bottle
amber in colour with a full and creamy head. Flavour somes from a unique mixture of fruits and the addition of different spices to match the fruity aroma. advised to be served at 3 degrees
this matches delta blues well because they would sing about failed relationships and romance which is mimicked in the sophisticated flavours and spices in this beer.
Rhythm and Blues and pecheresse:
25cl bottle
blonde in colour and full and creamy head, which has a period of maturity where the peach flavour is added later then left to mature for months to allow the flavour to develop
this fits rhythm and blues well because the audience for this category developed and matured as the style did and ended up having a more mature aged audience which is mimicked in how the beer is brewed and the minimalistic and sophisticated peach flavour
Country blues and Rouge:
33cl bottle
dark red/brown colour with a redish head. strong aroma of cherries and light sour, dry and light bitter with undertones of barley, malt and wheat
this suits country blues well because it is the original style of blues and this is a more typical style of Belgian Beer which suits the fact they would sing day-to-day music, which is more classic, like the flavour of beer.
target audience:
People who already drink beer and have a love for it
People who want to know and experience beers better
30-60 year olds male and female

Russian River Beatification (Bottled 2020) (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. A really excellent wild ale -- very balanced and complex, yet not too tart or puckering. There's quite a bit of oak behind the expected funk which is relatively clean for the style. There's still a decent amount of acid to this, so having more than one would be a challenge, but I honestly prefer this to many of the other Russian River sours with fruit, which are also excellent.

It has to be a very cool night». L'8 settembre è uscito il brano "Segui i tuoi demoni" (etichetta Microclima, distribuzione Artist First). #notizie #news #breakingnews #cronaca #politica #eventi #sport #moda Read the full article

Hosted by various businesses up and down I-5 (or interstate to ya'll), there is something every day for everyone. As one of those businesses which has supported Seattle Beer Week since its inception, Brouwer's Cafe invites you to attend one of their events. Re-introducing Stour Fest. What's Stour Fest? It's a union of two one day events, hosted in the many years under the names of Sour Fest and Back in Black Stout Fest. Originally designed to focus on so-called sour ales and lagers, Sour Fest was a one-day event that featured domestic and international beers, ranging from the near-absent-tasting sour to the mouth watering. Each unique and each glass followed by an evening reminder that too much sour can affect the stomach. On the other side, a showcase of stouts. From a vast library of variations, Stout fest included barrel-aged and non-barrel aged stouts. From imperials to the traditional stouts, there's something from everyone. Now in its second year, Stour Fest is back, and they have a week of fun planned. Starting on Saturday, May 18th, Brouwer's Cafe kicks Stour Fest off by showcasing the beers of Gueuzerie Tilquin. As the only draught house on the west coast, authorized to host the "Tilquin Fruit Extravaganza", Brouwer's is featuring the following beers.
