Oude Geuze Boon

• Lambic / Gueuze • 7% ABV - 22 IBU

The beer has an opalescent orange colour and a fine-pored white foam.

The bouquet is intense and pleasant with clear citrusy, vinous and spicy aromas.

The mouthfeel is mainly sour, an important characteristic of this beer.

It follows a light body with a medium sparkling.

The taste is characterized by flavours of grapefruit, spices and grapes while the aftertaste is dry and pleasant.

Oude Geuze is a combination of 90% lambic aged 18 months, 5% strong beer and 5% young lambic.

The first fermentation takes place in oak barrels for one to three years and then in the bottle where the second fermentation happens, the spontaneous one.

Absolutely amazing and perfect.

La birra si presenta con un colore arancione opalescente e una schiuma bianca dai pori fini.

Il bouquet è intenso e piacevole con chiari aromi agrumati, vinosi e speziati.

L'entrata in bocca è principalmente acida, caratteristica di questa birra. Segue un corpo leggero con una frizzantezza media.

Il gusto è caratterizzato da sapori di pompelmo, spezie e uva mente il retrogusto è secco e piacevole.

La Oude Geuze è una combinazione di 90% lambic invecchiata 18 mesi, 5% birra forte e 5% lambic giovane.

Viene lasciata fermentare da uno a tre anni in botti di rovere e poi in bottiglia dove avviene la seconda fermentazione, quella spontanea.

Assolutamente straordinaria e unica.

Lambiek Fabriek Brett-Elle Oude Geuze (Picked up at de Bierkoning in Amsterdam). A 4 of 4. A decidedly different funk than many other Gueuzes, but also quite great. Much fruitier and grassier with some almost white-wine-like notes. Dry and somewhat flat on the palate with a nice sourness and just a little bit of acidity. A bit more aggressive funk comes out as this warms, but overall, quite delicate.
