10:09pm Listening to Everytime by Janet Jackson. Life is a RIOT!!!!! Or a peaceful protest. I am so proud of GenZ in Kenya. The yute took democracy by the balls. They have a fundamental right to protest. Protests only become violent when police show up because the police duty is to protect the state, the status quo, imperialism and capitalism. It is so interesting because the yute are fighting for the police and soldiers needs as well. We are ALL being taxed on bread, packaging, local goods, pads and diapers. It is so wild to see how brainwashed the police/military are. It truly is indoctrination. Fighting the same yute fighting for your rights. The reason the IMF is meddling in our politics is because our leaders have taken loans they cannot pay back. The reason they need these loans is because colonization and the scramble for Africa looted and robbed us of our ability/chance to self determination. What slavery did to Black Americans, colonization did to Africans. So, let's chat reparations. So what if we owe the IMF a trillion. The G7 owes us more than that. So all colonizing countries and organizations backed by colonizers should clear ALL  our debt and we might let go of reparations. No? Anyway, we are coming for our money. Africa is waking up. Kenya is waking up. This is the era of knowing. I am so proud of some of the current politicians. Babu Owino weuh. But I am mostly proud of the women, men, Queers that filled the streets of Nairobi in UNITY. United we stand, divided we fall. The system is terrified of Unity and this moment right here, let us know we can be United. But it also warned the system that no matter what, collective liberation will always win. Love wins. Collective liberation is the highest form of Love. When we put our differences aside and fight for the future we want, that is Love. What a time to be alive. Viva la Revolution. So yeah, all in all, I am so proud of my country. Especially the Yute. I am literally avoiding talking about what is going on with the boomer generation because honestly, they are super indoctrinated. Literally the weakest link. So I am passive in conversations with them because I would rather say absolutely nothing instead of cussing them out. What else has been up in my life? I made traditional porridge today. I ground the sorghum and soaked it. The ground that into a paste. Then cooked a little bit of it to see if it was right. I haven’t done that in years. It is pretty taxing work. I took a nap after. Yesterday was KendiKane’s B’Earthday. It was a cute likkle vibe. I got a black forest cake and we had a little party at the house. The cake was pretty Gøod. Black forest isn’t my fave but it is her fave. I want more of the chocolate orange cake I had at Art Cafe a few weeks ago. It tastes like a chocolate bar I loved as a kid. I have been working on getting an ID this week. I went to Langata/Wilson DC office on Wednesday and Thursday. I still need to go back one more time but after that I should be Gøod. I met the chief of Karen and we became pals. He was very kind when it came to signing my forms. I did not go to the dance class  this week because we had a party and we postponed the start time for Shaka and Amore. They didn’t even show up and I missed dance. Ugh. Oh well. I am going to a boxing class tomorrow with Stella. That’s my new scheme, fitness activities with pals. Then I will pick up a pizza for SweSwe, as she asked. Life is Gøod. Unity is Gøod. Ase

Nairobi National Park is famously known as the wildlife capital of the world, This Kenya wildlife safari park is like the VIP section of Kenya's wildlife scene. It's just 7km south of Nairobi, making it the only wildlife park that's basically neighbors with a major city. Covering over 117.21 square kilometers, this place is home to over 100 cool mammals and is like a fancy breeding ground for rhinos and it even has an open extension to the south where animals can casually migrate to the adjacent Kitengela plains. It's like they have their own little vacation spot. This park was the first national park in Kenya to be officially opened to tourists and its southern boundary is formed by the Mbagathi River, which is basically like their natural border. And let's not forget about the diverse bird species, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards, and lions. There is chance for you to catch the wildebeest and zebra migrations in July and August; it's like their version of a summer vacation. There's even an Ivory Burning Site Monument and the Nairobi Safari walk and animal orphanage, this is a must go to destination especially if you are flying to Kenya and you are limited by time , you basically require less than a day to uncover the Kenya wildlife.

What Ruto did on Kenya's Jamhuri Day is totally SHAMEFUL and UNLAWFUL. Gathering children and instructing them to shout his name to try rump up his beaten political popularity is too low. This is the man that a few years ago had kids teargassed in Langata! I CONDEMN RUTO.

June 19th, 2024
10:03 pm. Listening to run me dry by Bryson Tiller babbyy. I saw on IG that Aniza went to see Bryson Tiller in the Siggz. Baby gworl is living my East African in Americana dreams. Hehehehe. Wow, hello Gøod Blog. I can’t even remember what I wanted to call the readers? Was it Goodies? LMAO, kinda sounds like my coochie. Anyway, whatevz. I had such an interesting day. It took me a long while to fall asleep last night. I was mostly home chilling on tuesday, I literally left the house because I wanted McFry’s chicken and chips. After I got up today, I decided I wanted to do my hair and feel nice. Then Kendi and I walked to the Chief’s office in my neighborhood to try and sort out my ID. The walk was nice as it was a sunny day. Once we got to the chief's office, they told us to go to Langata. So we hopped on TWO matatus to get there, it didn’t take long. Once we got there, they heard us and the lady told me to come back tomorrow with all my paperwork printed. Sigh. At least there is some movement. I have been dealing with this ID situation for like three months and I am low key over it. I am glad I took it upon myself and Kendi came along. Sometimes waiting on people is so frustrating. So yeah, I am hoping tomorrow pans out bc after that I can apply for a passport and get my drivers license, get mpesa and just exist as a Kenyan. The adventure was fun. Moving around this city with KendiKane is always a vibe innit. Something about sorting this ID situation is giving me hope about my life in Kenya as a Kenyan. I still sometimes wonder what life would be like if I had chosen Barbados. Anyway, I needed to come here to sort my paperwork and I chose here because of my family. I still wonder what could have been. My wanderlust is kicking in. I was thinking of a summer in NYC with King Zoulien eating poke bowls on a fire exit as the sun sets on a blistering hot day. That just feels like LIFE. Or a coconut on a Bajan beach while listening to the waves crash around me and some Rihanna tunes on the speaker. Tbf, I hope the ID settles too so I can feel more stable here and not feel one foot out the door. I applied to go toa global peace and leadership conference. I applied as a volunteer bc mandem ain’t got no money to pay 150$. But it seems like a fitting sorta ting. The keynote speaker is Ruto. LOLOLOLOL. How you gonna speak on peace when you’re over taxing your people to the point of revolution? I applied though because I feel like it fits with my studies, interest and future plans. Also, some nice networking possibilities. Getting a DL, a job and ID are my goals over the next few months. I have some plans/schemes up my sleeve. But mostly I want to finish the Gøod manifesto. Y’all Christinito sent me the website while I was in a bar on Friday and OMG. WOW. OMG. Mandem really did THAT. It is perfect. Even the colour schemes, the planet placeholders, the stars, he linked the music. I am so grateful I went to him and that he saw the vision. Honestly, I was feeling meh about finishing this. I was feeling meh about it all. Turns out all I needed was some inspo. I am so inspired. I am now ready to finish the 20 single page essays and Love as its own 8 pager. I Love when inspo comes unexpectedly. I always say with my writing and drawing that I cannot really force it. It’s a feeling. And I can feel the end of this is here. I am so excited. I am so ready. And then Life in Kenya can truly begin. Life is Gøod. I am Gøod. Ase. Ase.
