Propuesta escénica.

Washington supone un proceso de investigación que especula sobre lo que podría haber sido la última película de la trilogía inacabada; USA: land of opportunities, de Lars Von Trier. Pero... ¿Qué pasa cuando una trilogía o un proyecto no llegan a cerrarse nunca?, ¿o cuando cancelan una serie con un cliffhanger en su último capítulo? que la poética de la especulación toma lugar. La ausencia se convierte en potencia política. El proyecto deja de pertenecer a su autor para democratizarse en las mentes de aquellos que quieran imaginar una continuación o un final.

No hay información sobre el trato, ni el enfoque que tendría Washington. Al dejar inconclusa la trilogía, el autor nos dejó un espacio vacío para formular nuevas preguntas sobre la cuestión americana y la humanidad. La ausencia de una película será el marco de trabajo de la propuesta.

Con esta obra, Matias Daporta continúa un proyecto de investigación en torno a los puntos de interferencia entre el cine y el teatro, buscando cómo transformar el mecanismo cinematográfico en un dispositivo escénico, con proyectos como Funerals, welcome donde trabaja sobre el montaje; Flat, not apartment sobre la proyección; Knock Down sobre el rodaje o MOCAP sobre el encuadre.

Washington fue estrenada en el Festival de artes vivas y nuevos formatos TNT de Terrassa, Barcelona en 2022 con el apoyo de: Teatre Lliure y Becas Carlota Sotdevila, LaPoderosa.

La obra cuenta con la participación de la directora de casting Alejandra Allaf y la actriz Daniela Jacques y la colaboración de las actrices Emiliana Carvallo, Lucía Lorente y Fati Fernández. Queremos agradecer también el apoyo de la Escuela Universitaria de Artes TAI.

For the last time, that’s for Cheka when the furball rides in my car.” Not to mention it doubled as a booster seat for a certain hyena so the guy could see beyond the hood of the car when he was trying to use it.

“Who’s side are you on? Keep it up and I’ll stick all the babysitting duties on you for those stupid things.” Just when were all these tsums going home sot his nightmare could end!?

   Why isn’t he answering? Ling Wen feels like an animal shoved into a cage far too small for it as she stares blankly at the scroll in front of her. Whatever it is, she can’t be bothered by it when there’s something more concerning at hand. Where was Pei Ming? There wasn’t any reports of danger or disturbances (she’d know, she’d been actively monitoring all the open communication arrays). Sometimes there were areas that could make the connection fragile or impossible. Logically, Pei Ming likely had just passed through or gone into one to fulfill an easy prayer and that was that. She shouldn’t make a big deal out of this.

   But a chill still drags its claws down her spine in defiance of her rational logic.. Ling Wen is used to being winter, not having the fangs of anxiety pierce her. It doesn’t matter how different the situation is. The last time no one had answered, Shi Wudu had come back dead. He hadn’t even come back whole. They still didn’t have his head and they likely never would. It’s a memory that makes her feel sick and cold. But it brings on a GREATER thought of concern. Not Pei Ming. She’d take his spot if need be. The weight of her crimes far outweighed his.

   Ling Wen only vaguely registers the fact she’s abandoned her work and is walking through the Heavenly Capital’s streets when she suddenly feels a wave of dizziness hit her. She can still remember the disbelief when they’d come back at the idea that Shi Wudu was dead. ( And not even by a trial. )  How it’d only truly hit her that night when she’d gone to his palace with its snuffed out lights. She’d stood in the vacant halls or a minute only to collapse to the cold tile and had cried for the first time over the loss. She can’t do that again. She can’t. The end of time would still be far too soon for her to lose someone so dear to her.

   Her hands find the door to push open Pei Ming’s palace hall doors - no one would think twice about her appearing there given how often the three tumors had once visited each other. But the door feels impossibly heavy as she pushes it with all her effort and steps inside. Her blue eyes stare ahead, and despite being present, everything feels disorienting and far away.  But an arm catches her, guides her, till her back is against the wall and giving her the support that it felt like her legs were about to stop giving her.

   Ling Wen takes a moment to process that someone had grabbed and helped her - as if they knew before she did of what might be about to happen. Impossible. No one could do that except one now. She lifts her head to see.......Pei Ming. Relief rushes over her in a tidal wave that leaves her even more disoriented from the sudden shift of fear to pure relief.

   And she promptly slaps him only to immediately sink into his chest, her hands clutching onto the fabric of his robes. She doesn’t cry, but her breath stutters, struggling to fill her lungs when she chokes on emotion. Surprise, joy, relief. He was okay. He was fine, he didn’t even seem to be injured. He must have just gotten back. Her eyes squeeze shut, forehead pressed against him as she lets the wall and Pei Ming himself support her.

   She won’t have to see his corpse dragged in. She won’t see his palace destroyed. She won’t be the last one.

Al día siguiente de su captura, durante la audiencia de formulación de cargos, los hombres llegaron a un acuerdo de conciliación con la víctima y fueron liberados. La oficial, que se quejó de los abogados de la Defensoría Pública por haber propiciado el procedimiento que les permitió a los ladrones salir de la cárcel, ahora enfrenta una demanda de ellos. La audiencia de juzgamiento es este viernes, a las 09:00, en la Unidad Judicial de Cayambe. Montoya informó que tres de los detenidos son ecuatorianos (el otro es venezolano) y entre ellos suman 18 procesos judiciales que van desde robo, posesión de drogas y acusaciones de asesinatos. “Entendemos que es legal el procedimiento, pero resaltamos la participación tan activa de la Defensoría Pública” para defender a los acusados, se quejó la oficial, que dio los nombres de los abogados que hoy la demandan por presuntas calumnias. En una transmisión en vivo del portal El Hemisférico de Cayambe la oficial se refirió a la conciliación como “un buen negocio” para los asaltantes: “robo cinco veces, me detienen una y con ese sí hago un acuerdo reparatorio. ¿Y las demás víctimas? Con ellos no hubo acuerdos reparatorios porque no fueron detenidos”. A nice concept, though what good was fantasizing aloud what could just as easily happen. And what good was any distance between them when it felt like their bodies always seemed to call for each other. Leona took it upon himself to resolve both, approaching the other with a clear purpose as his gaze settled on soft lips. Even pulled into a smug smirk, he found they still seemed to lure him in; a charm he couldn’t deny was quite addicting of his twin.

Hands find their way up his twin’s chest, making quick work of the loose shirt as it disintegrated to sand under his touch. Fingers traced gently along the expanse of his chest, tracing every dip and imperfection he’d come to memorize and cherish of the other. His lips find home against the other’s, briefly making his subtle smirk disappear as he claimed the other’s lips in a chaste kiss that only lengthens as their hunger grew. As the passion of the kiss mounted, Leona stepped closer to him, practically pinning him back against the wall as his leg pushed between the other’s.

Twin gazes met briefly as the kiss broke, challenge burning in emerald eyes even as Leona’s hands moved down to grasp the other’s wrists. His lips teasingly brush close to the other’s lips once more, feeling the other’s breath against them before he changed course at the last minute to find a different destination. “...Here?,” he teased in a low voice, his lips just barely ghosting over the left side of his twin’s jawline. Briefly do lips press against dark skin in a kiss, only to trail further down along the curve of his neck. Teeth replace lips as he nipped at unmarred skin teasingly, a deep hum reminiscent of a growl escaping him as he felt a subtle tremble. “Or here?”

Again his lips move, going lower along his twin’s chest towards his collarbone. It’s tempting to bite him again. Harsher this time so as to leave behind a telling mark. He resisted though, releasing captured wrists and taking a step back as a small smirk danced on his lips. “That’s what you meant, right?~”

Who said he was always going to play nice? After all, even his own self wasn’t safe from some teasing every once in a while. But perhaps if the other asked nicely, he may do more~

                 RAPHAEL MORE OR LESS knew what michael wanted. following him quietly to his rooms after their meeting, everyone probably thought it was odd for their chief to suddenly be so attached to raphael so suddenly - usually it was the other way around: raphael following and clinging to him instead. but he always kept their sins secret and lied even more the following days after. 

                 he had at least expected michael to give him the time to change and wash up, he usually did. that way it didn’t hurt so much and it didn’t have to take so long for michael to loosen him up. however, michael was increasingly impatient and as soon as those doors clicked shut and locked behind them, hands were roughly grabbing at his shoulders and yanking him close. ‘ michael wait --! ’ he tried to catch himself from falling on top of their chief, hands slamming against the decorated doors and having them shudder beneath his strength. 

                 pale lips were quick to claim what he knew was his, biting and gnashing at raphael’s painted pair. a quiet whimper stuttered forth and he opened his mouth before he would bleed. he didn’t know where this desperation came from, and a part of him wondered if a certain clay doll got under michael’s skin while raphael had ran late for their meeting. he was still clumsy with these kisses, tongue stiff and loose all at the same time in attempts to keep up with michael who prodded and tasted. 

                 he felt hands loosen in their bruising grip and felt and heard buttons of his gown popping instead. ‘ mmph, michael-. ’ he gasped quietly feeling the sheer fabric spilling over his freckled shoulders and his soft flesh exposed down to the cincher squeezing his waist. he wanted to pull away, to try and gain some reason with the angel in front of him, but michael was suffocating him. he was touching and grabbing him every way that made raphael’s knees want to buckle. the sound of their heavy breaths mixing together amongst the wetness of lips smacking together and tongues playing together drowned out raphael’s protests. every time he could feel the tip of michael’s tongue tickle the top of his mouth, his gut tightened and choked moans spilled brokenly. 

                 tears were quickly filling his ducts and making his vision bleary. his hands slowly fell from the door and he was throwing his arms around michael’s shoulders instead. he was smaller, but still so much sturdier than raphael. he didn’t flinch or crumble while raphael’s weight pressed deeper into him. it seemed like it was enough to gain his attention though, as hands held the small of his back and he could feel air coming back into his lungs again. 

                 he inhaled deeply and blinked away his tears. ‘ what ... ’ he tried to speak, but he was too out of breath that he had to stop himself. raphael sighed now, tongue darting out to lick his bruised and lipstick smeared lips. he wasn’t sure if michael wanted to continue, he wasn’t making any movements to assume such . . . perhaps he could ask. 

                 ‘ what’s wrong? you’ve been...restless lately, it’s making you act rashly. ’
