I’m so heartbroken for Gabby :((( I really wish I could hug her right now. I hope she keeps fighting and doesn’t let this get her down.
I’m also sad for Larkyn, her face in the Kiss and Cry was devastating :(((
On the brighter side, Alaine Chartrand was amazing and absolutely deserves this title!

Larkyn Austman: Canada: Short
Tumblr media
She has a choker! Makeup on point too I love her. It looks like she chose a song from a musical, this should be dramatic. Aw, she missed the second jump in her triple combo, but went into a very expressive sequence before speeding up for a triple flip!
Oh, beautiful and fast pirouettes, and she's very playful too, probably why she chose a musical.  There's lots of change in rhythms in this song, which lets her live the music and it's awesome! The crowd is clapping and having fun, which is great :D

“So, Meagan Duhamel and Larkyn Austman chose to respond to Eunsoo's bullying allegations by bullying her. So disappointed. They are both adults (Meagan is in her thirties!), so they should have refrained from making comments before everything had been looked into.“

Tumblr media
Court Dimensions:
The court follows the standard dimensions which are: A Figure skating rink is a frozen rectangular surface with curved or circular ends on both sides used to host the Olympic sport of figure skating. Skating rinks vary in size depending on skill level of the athletes and performers, with the largest being an Olympic-sized rink. Skating rinks are often used for both figure skating and ice hockey games, and dimensions are typically the same for both. Unlike hockey, a figure skating rink is clear of goals and markings to allow athletes and performers the maximum amount of unimpeded space. Meant to provide a smooth and hard surface, the rink ice temperature ranges between -5.5C (22F) and -3.5C (26F).
Figure Skating Rinks have an overall length of 196.85’ (60 m) and width of 98.43’ (30 m), for a total area of 18,707 ft² (1738 m²). The corners of a Figure Skating Rink have a radius of 27.89’ (8.5 m).

 Standard Rules of Figure Skating:
· The overall objective in Figure Skating is to score the highest marks possible from the judges, although there are different ways to score points depending on the nature of the event.
· Both men and women participate in Figure Skating, and there is little equipment involved other than specially made pairs of skates called “Figure Skates”.
· Men and women are required to wear specific costumes in order to perform on the professional stage. Men are asked to wear trousers, whilst women are required to wear tights, trousers, or unitards, as well as skirts.
· Athletes in Figure Skating are scored according to the ISU Judging System by a panel of judges (usually nine judges including a technical inspector, and also a referee). This system functions by awarding athletes’ different amounts of points for different types of moves, as well as how efficiently and effectively these moves are executed. A Grade of Execution (GoE) is calculated, and then a Scale of Value Table is used to turn this grade into an overall mark.
· The winner of a Figure Skating event is the individual/team who achieves the highest overall score.
Athletes in Figure Skating     must keep their performances varied. The Zayak Rule states that no     participant can attempt triple or quadruple jumps on more than two     occasions.
Judges may also mark down     participants or disqualify them completely if they fail to adhere to rules     and regulations for music and costumes. Certain types of music are not     permitted, and costumes cannot contain “excessive decoration” or be     considered as too revealing.
Athletes can also be     disqualified for time violations.
 Officiation:
Referee: the referee did a great job overall.
Judges: the judges delivered a fair and proper score for each of the contestants in every aspect they have delivered. The judges thoroughly did all the scoring with utmost accuracy which is why they did a great job in producing scores for the contestants.
Final Scores: The final score was fairly delivered and there were no problems with the scoring.
