Tonight, I hung out with a friend. We drank lots of alcohol and completely bitched about design of marching band and color guard and indoor drumline. It was so fun. Never has someone actually pondered and listened to my ideas on design of any sort of marching art in this world. And I thought that was completely new and it felt great. I might even have gotten a new job offer out of this hang. (Even though I don't know if I'll take it since I'm trying to limit myself in the marching world as I get closer and closer to graduation) Tonight I learned a lot about the simplicity of marching band and color guard design. There is a big picture of at most 3 gears that the performance(show) can resemble. And it ties into one simple concept. I even got to help out simply design one form out of OC's show this year. Literally, like I can't tell anyone how amazing that makes me feel. Like I helped create a major impact point out of a performance. I'm very grateful for the few "friends" I have here in this state. It just feels so good to be included in simply someone's mind, even if it is just simply, "hey come over, let's drink and bitch endlessly about band design". (On a separate note, watch Onyx 2013, it will blow your fucking mind)
