[:nl]De DX Racer, de stoel waar iedereen het altijd over heeft. Heeft er toch heel veel concurrentie bij gekregen van diverse merken zoals Sharkoon , Aerocool, Noblechairs, Gigabyte en nog vele andere. Elke fabrikant heeft zijn eigen sausje erover heen gegooid en zo ook weer iets vernieuwend erin gemaakt. Zo komt ook Gamdias met zijn Archillis serie gaming stoelen alleen de Archillis heeft iets wat ik nergens nog gezien heb bij andere gaming stoelen. Hieronder meer over dit extraatje die ik nergens anders nog gezien heb .

Intro:

De Gamdias Achilles P1 is de stoel die ik hedendaags onder  mijn billen mag hebben. Een robuuste stoel die zelf tijdens het gamen je in slaap kan krijgen. De Archillis P1 beschikt namelijk naar mijn weten als enige stoel over een Been/voet steun en als slagroom op de taart, RBG in the back ! aan te sluiten op je pc en of powerbank. De eerste optie is wat riskant als je met de kabel verbonden bent en je draait de verkeerde kant op dan heb je toch een uitdaging.

Montage / Bevindingen:

Wat doe je als je een gaming stoel binnenkrijgt van 369 euro ( exclusief verzend kosten vanuit Roemenië (Later dit jaar een verkooppunt vanuit Duitsland. Precies die laat je in elkaar zetten door je oudste zoon van 6.

Na het gevaarte van zo een 33 kg. op de grond te hebben geplaatst en open gemaakt te hebben is het uitpakken en uitstallen begonnen.

Alles mooi verpakt en beschermt tegen eventueel schuiven of breken.

Na het uitstallen en uitpakken kan het monteren beginnen. met wat hulp van mij heeft een 6jarige zelf alles gemonteerd en de tekening gelezen. Wat wil zeggen geen moeilijke plaatjes maar alles duidelijk en makkelijk te monteren.

Ook tijdens de montage bij het aandraaien van schroeven en bouten hoeft er geen enorme kracht gebruikt te worden. Het nalopen van de schroeven/bouten heb ik wel gedaan maar eigenlijk kan een kind de was doen zeg maar.

De Achilles is zo ontworpen dat je zonder lelijke rare constructies je leuning op het zitvlak kan monteren. De leuning glijd namelijk over 2 montage pennen heeft en je zie je naderhand niet meer. alleen de 4 bouten waar hij mee vast geschroefd zit. Echter zijn deze ook zwart dus vallen ze bijna weg in de leuning.

Zoals te zien op de foto is de been / voet steun voor mijn zoontje perfect!. Echter ben ik nagenoeg 2 meter en zal het bij mij tot net iets over de knieën komen. Als ik iets de leuning naar achter zet en mijn benen buig kan ik dus makkelijk zitten met de voetjes van de vloer. wat toch een erg relaxt gevoel geef. Het is net of je op de bank zit.

Zoals je kunt zien hieronder kunt zien is de Achilles P1_L zoals deze gaming stoel voluit heet, voorzien van een Class 4 Gasveer voor de grote / zware mensen onder ons en kunnen de 5 wielen wel een gewicht van 1500 kg houden. De leuning kan nagenoeg helemaal vlak en met de 4D armsteunen is deze gaming stoel helemaal naar wens in te stellen.

9 van de 10 stoelen zijn wel voorzien van deze functies behalve dan de voet/been steun.  RGB is ook wel een extra en zie je her en der op stoelen terug komen. Persoonlijk vind ik de RGB in de stoel leuk maar een echte toevoeging geeft het natuurlijk niet. Echter als je een gaming setup hebt en je stoel zoals deze Achilles P1 heeft RGB dan maakt dat wel het plaatje compleet.

De bekleding als laatste is eigenlijk wel het belangrijkste vind ik. Aangezien je hier toch je hele gamesessie op moet zitten. De P1 is uitgevoerd in deels leer en deels vinyl Zo is de P1 ook dubbel gestikt voor de wiebelkonten onder ons en zorgt dat alles blijft zitten zoals het moet. Met de Onderrug steun en het hoofdkussen in de zelfde stijl als de stoel heb je met de P1 een complete gamestoel.

Software:

Om die mooie LED bars / LED ogen aan te kunnen zetten en besturen heb je een stukje software nodig. Dit is bij elk product van Gamdias gelijk. De software is ook weer genoemd naar een godin uit de griekse mythologie. Hera is de software die gebruikt word voor alle mogelijke instellingen. Wanneer er een apparaat aangesloten word verandert het menu van Hera . Waardoor het kan zijn dat je een x aantal onderdelen ziet. Bv. Muis / toetsenbord / headset / rgb fans / koelers en dus ook deze Achillis P1.

Zoals je hierboven kunt zien beschikt de P1 alleen maar over instellingen van kleurtjes 😉 maar kun je wel het een en ander instellen. Wel top om te zien is dat je on the fly dus apparatuur kunt aansluiten en zo dus met het zelfde stukje software alles kunt aanpassen.

Conclusie:

De Gamdias Achillis P1_L is een hele goede stoel voor de lange intensieve gamesessies of de luilekkerland stand voor als het allemaal lekker relaxt kan. Wat zeker een pluspunt is bij Gamdias Achillis serie is dat de P1 wordt geleverd in zowel de L als S versie. Hierdoor is er voor de bepaalde range lengte een aparte stoel. Met zijn leder en dubbele stiksel is de P1 een goed afgewerkte stoel. De been voet steun maakt het geheel af en maakt de P1 van Gamdias dan ook erg uniek !

Am I the only one who's doing this?

I was going to make a post about the evolution of the 6th Division office over time, because these screencaps have been sitting on my desktop for months and that is ridiculous (that’s the part about this that is ridiculous), but I think instead I want to talk about the likelihood that there is some enterprising shinigami out there making it as a freelance furniture designer/pirate.

Evolution of the 6th Division Office Over Time 

One might assume that the Kuchiki office has existed unchanged since time immemorial, reflecting the their lengthy tenure as being Voted #1 Noble Family by Kuchiki Magazine, but that’s where you’d be WRONG, because Byakuya has an entirely different odd little side table than Ginrei! He has an entirely DIFFERENT uncomfortable chair! See the rounded top edges of Ginrei’s? And idk if we see the slatback for Ginrei’s, but Byakuya’s version seems to be wanting to do the chair version of what the window panes are doing (which cast dramatic shadows when the moonlight hits just right, so you know that’s intentional), peak chair flex. 

Does it make up for the addition(?) of two of the most hideous couches in the Seireitei? Up for debate. But I think Byakuya’s couches might be worse than the 10th couches and the 3rd couches. I’m also convinced that these couches see very little use, because unlike the 10th Division couches, who is napping on these? It’s probably never occurred to Byakuya that those might be a place one might sleep, or nap. The office is not a place for relaxing; they don’t call it a workplace for nothing, and there are far more amenable facilities back home. I think Renji could probably make these into napcouches, because he’s a hero, but he’s very tall, probably taller than the couch is long, and the arms/couchback are cut such that it would be very difficult to use them as head/legrests without just sliding off the front of the couch. These couches are like the couch version of carceral design benches in parks/airports to dissuade people from sleeping on them.

Anyway, what I meant to say is that the 6th office we get in The Kouga Era is different than the one we get in Zanpakutou Rebellion Era, but given how quickly 10th goes through furniture it’s hard to say whether these changes reflect a change in leadership/change in style over centuries, or the whimsy of a moment. Tragically inconclusive findings, which is why I’d instead direct your attention to my favorite element of the 6th Office:

The Odd Little Side Table

Let’s be real here, this is a really weird way to store papers, and not a particularly ergonomic one. Functionally it’s weird; aesthetically, it’s weird, because the massive solidity of the window-centered desk makes the odd little side table feel out of place, and unbalances the room (especially since the couches are on that side, too?).

My guess is that it’s not intended to function as a side table, but as a desk--the kind you’d sit at on the floor on a zabuton, as some shinigami seem to employ in their personal quarters. In Ginrei’s case, maybe that was the OG furnishing in the room, and the giant brick desk is “relatively” new to the office. Or is this the Seireitei version of an adjustable sitting/standing desk, except it’s two desks and they are sitting/sitting desks? Is that Renji’s desk? Is that the snack table that just happens to have a bunch of paper on it in this moment? I don’t know, but it’s my favorite part of this office.

The Door Pull Mogul

But this is really what I’ve been thinking about this morning. The fact of these... door pulls?? KALLRÖR FROM IKEA IS THAT YOU. We know 6th has got their fancy puzzle-key gate, so maybe this mod, Japandi situation we’ve got going with these doors isn’t unexpected, but why are the interior doors to the 6th Division office outfitted like a Hostelling International property:

Don’t get me wrong, I love whatever the Seireitei’s “eras tour? we are ALL eras” architecture and technology, but I’m really interested in what possessed the 6th Division that they wanted to change from sliding doors (I say “change” because the 10th still has sliding doors, and I assume at some point in the past they all did) to doors with IKEA handles. This seems like a horrible choice for a door with any weight to it--how do you grip and pull this? There’s hardly enough clearance between handle and door for even the tiniest hands to grip it. These are cabinet handles. But sure, let’s set that aside.

Inasmuch as the 6th likely values reliable tradition, modernizing one’s interior design not because it got blown up but just because you can is probably one of the best ways you can prove you’re wealthy in this place. Because what else are they going to do? Buy crypto? 

So I love the idea that some shinigami realized that they actually did not enjoy talking to ghost after ghost, and they actually did not enjoy risking dismemberment and death, but while on patrol in the Living World found that they did like mail-order catalogs (and later, the Internet and like, Fiverr or something), and got really into creating lookbooks. And they joined up with some equally enterprising shinigami with an equal distaste for death, who had the hookup with all the artisans in town, and they started handmaking and individually-crafting Living World mass design.

Instead of beginning with the bespoke furniture and finding ways of making the mass market, ready-to-wear versions of spoons and couches and door pulls, they went in the other direction and pulled the most popular designs from the Living World (AKA the cheapest and most readily available, but from an alternative perspective the most reflective of the cultural zeitgeist) and pirated them over to Soul Society, to be reinvented and remade as bespoke, very expensive furniture.

W- Hnggh! Hnngggghhh!" As you weren't given an IV so the quick accelaration is and was surprsing to you as the contraction hits you and you push as the baby goes down quick stretching you inside you let out a graceful and pained groan gripping the taut belly pulling her head back "W- wow Hngg- gghhh Yo- Haaahhh f- ffuck! GAaahhhh!!" Thou pushed down holding on the beds bars pulling back your head shouts "OOOOHHHHH!!! AAAHHHH!! GA- AAAHHH!!!" and tore through the labia as the head crowned and began sliding out the head out and it was dangling out your pussy gushing out fluids and blood wetting the sheets as your head pulls to the side "GAAAAAAHHH IT HURTS!!!" As all the students watched in so much pleasure you did not even notice and one of the students stepped on your belly sending the baby's left shoulder out "AAAHHH!!! GET OFF ME!! ARGGHHH!!! Today's addition: The headlights!

Originally, I was thinking of mounting the clamps to the frame of the chair itself, but it ended up working better to put them on the foot/legrest parts instead. Set at slightly different heights and angles, which should actually be a good thing for field of illumination. Even if it offends my sense of symmetry a little bit.

Of course, they switch on separately, so I can also choose one or both to use. Besides always having flashlights ready for detachment! 🔦
