I was just reading your tags on that post about Breha Organa (how you wished Cassian had a parent like her) and it got me thinking, what if Cassian was taken in by Bail and Breha (totally implausible but who cares 🤷‍♀️) and was raised as Leila’s brother and as the prince of Alderaan

I think I've seen this idea talked about sometimes and seen some fics where Cassian is friends and close to the Organas but I don't think I've ever seen specifically one where he gets adopted by them and I love it. there's so much potential here like?? I think it'd be interesting to explore how this changes who he is. I'm imagining this specifically with the Festian background, I would definitely keep him losing his parents at age six, and maybe even being a child soldier for a while before the Organas adopt him, just so we have still have that traumatic past that defines who he is, but having loving parents and being raised as a prince would still make him a little different.

and I imagine he wouldn't work for Intelligence, because as a prince of Alderaan, firstly, he's expected to be a leader and not a field soldier, and secondly, he can't be a spy because his face is probably too well-known, but on the other hand... I think Cassian is a person who needs to be doing something to feel useful, especially if he had been a child soldier, so I feel like he'd rebel against this a bit and try to be more active and go out on missions... so it'd be interesting to explore what role he would take on in the rebellion in this case.

and I haven't even gotten into how this could be built into the RO plot and how he'd interact with Jyn! or his relationship with Leia. lots of interesting potentials here

Anthony dressing up as Captain daddy Von trapp is amazing and singing the song for her, we know messes with Kate’s sanity.

Does Viscount Daddy ever reveal to her who he wants her to role play? Maybe Princess Leila, an Avenger, or regency aristocratic? Wondering since we know he’s so prim and proper.

It took Kate a long time to pry Anthony's fantasy out of him, she pestered him for ages about it after he dressed up as Captain von Trapp, and then Indiana Jones for her.

"Come on, I told you mine."

"Kate, there's literally nothing to tell you." Anthony sighed, "I don't have a fantasy."

"Don't you want me to dress up for you?!" Kate said a little hysterically, "I am ready to dress up as any number of slutty video game women, The horribly misogynistic slave princess leia?! I'll do it!"

"Leia Organa is a general now, show some respect." Anthony hummed, "And any way you dress is sexy, guess I'm just happy with you."

"No, No." Kate snapped, "Because now I look like an arsehole for blowing Captain von Trapp! No! Is it a gymnast?"

"No."

"An Ice skater?"

"No."

"Do you want me to dress as Scarlet witch and pretend to enslave you?"

"...No."

"You were less sure on that!"

"Your tits would look great in the comic book corset, don't try to trick me!" Anthony huffed.

And finally, Kate discovers what it is Anthony would like, completely by accident, they're watching The Princess Bride and Anthony off handedly says

"I used to have a huge crush on Buttercup."

"Caught you," Kate murmured smugly.

"What was that?"

"Nothing." Kate said quickly, kissing his cheek.

And two weeks later when Anthony came home from work to find her standing in the doorway, dressed as Buttercup, he couldn't move fast enough.

"Okay, Okay, okay," Anthony gasped circling around her, "I... didn't know this was still a thing for me."

why did we all randomly lie about how english words are pronounced. i still know several people who insist that leia organas name is pronounce leila despite. that not being at all true. alsi one time a librarian told me that in his dark materials her name is spelled lyra but its actually pronounced leila??

omg this has been a draft for like forever lol. ok more about Amira. ft the one finished piece of digital art I have of her lol this image is all over my blog.

she's a princess within the Mizumi family, who are regional royalty/nobility while the Organa house is the royal family of the whole of Alderaan. she's the daughter of the younger daughter of the Head of House, so Amira isn't really in line for the throne. lucky her, she doesn't want any royal duties getting in the way of her life (never mind that she doesn't even know what to do with her life before she finds out she's force sensitive). quick chart to kind of explain:

the little crown represents where the succession line goes.

so Fliss'aa is a princess too, though takes her obligations a bit more seriously. (sorry, *was. it's star wars. gotta have dead parents in there somewhere.) fliss'aa was a princess, and married rosalie, who was the head of the royal guard under the Mizumi division. the two of them died in a space car accident (which might have been a political assassination) when amira was about 11 years old.

so amira is a force sensitive, on a core world, born to very public, high ranking figures, who are on very friendly terms with the jedi, and yet wasn't taken in to the order? well, the reason is that amira was a rainbow child. specifically, she was born after a lot of struggles through conceiving. so rosalie and fliss'aa were extremely overjoyed and very attached to amira when she was born. so they couldn't deal with the idea of 'losing her' and not being able to raise her as a family. obviously the jedi were fine with this and respected their wishes (they're not child snatchers lol) and left them to it. amira's mums had planned to tell her that she was force sensitive, and what that means, when she was older - but they died before they got the chance. the rest of the family didn't know about this, so couldn't tell her when they took amira in to raise her. she only found out when leila and cedar were deployed to her palace and she became close with cedar.

the Mizumi house is largely represented with a diamond/angled square motif such as below. the base shape represents the house as a whole. its the simplest shape because people would most often be referring to the main royal family, and then any derivatives or subdivisions will have variations on that diamond. for example the royal guard has 'spikes' coming off of each corner.

a lot of stuff was passed down to amira from her mums. amira's crown was originally fliss'aa's, and amira also got rosalie's guard captain coat and helmet. the helmet looks very similar to this alderaan trooper helmet from swtor, but a more solid back like a clone trooper or mandalorian (I think the half back from swtor is kinda ugly lol at least for what I want)

braids are a large part of alderaanian culture. when amira was a kid, fliss'aa used to help to braid her hair loops like below. after they passed, amira struggled to do the braids herself and started to just tie it as rough, low pigtails. she was still able to do the braids in front of her face since they're in an easier position and also smaller. at some stage, there's a heartwarming scene where cedar (who is also of alderaanian heritage) helps braid her hair for her while she gets to wear traditional alderaanian clothing (taking inspiration from kimonos/yukatas) and they frolick in the fields embracing their culture. not shown here is that amira's clothing has a pattern of spoonbills on it, and that this is also inherited from her parents.

spoonbills are a real life animal that I think are so perfectly star wars animals that they're native to alderaan now. the Mizumi palace is on a great lake*, which also happens to home a lot of spoonbills. so think that the robe has a pattern similar to this yukata but with spoonbills

*Mizumi is the japanese word for lake. as the palace was built on the lake, that's what the family were named for

there's. so much. I could say. about my characters. amira has dark eyebrows from rosalie. and a round face from fliss'aa. she found a kyber crystal and felt a strong connection to it [unknowingly the force] and now wears it on a necklace.

I want there to be a lot of themes about connecting with her heritage - both her culture as an alderaanian, but more personally with her deceased parents too. honouring her parents and her planet.

Talked with my uncle yesterday, he had just seen tros and told he felt robbed of a true ending.

He did not ship Reylo, he did not ship Finnpoe, he only cared to have a satisfying closing to the saga and he said he felt depressed that almost all the original characters died for the the sake of saving their descendant just to see him die too.

My uncle is 57, watched Star Wars since the very first, he is not a rooting fan, just an adult who experienced his childhood dreams ruined because (he said this words) “Disney couldn’t grasp what Star Wars meant to old generation”.

They did not only ruin this trilogy, they ruined the whole franchise.

The did not spoil the 2015 fan base, they spoiled the 1977 too.
