The episode had me thinking so much about the lore of the force and how it functions across the universe.

The Nightsisters worship the fanged god and the winged goddess (the Son and the Daughter), and I assume this practice is as ancient as the Nightsisters themselves. In the Mortis arc in The Clone Wars, the Father explained that the balance between his children affects the entire universe. The force permeates and binds all that exists, even if it’s known by different names in different places. Nightsister magic is a very alien way of wielding the same force. I think most of us already knew this, but seeing it being told means so much.

Mortis shifted between day and night at any given moment with the constant push and pull between the Son and Daughter. Baylan describes this continuous pattern when Shin asks him what he sees. We’ve seen so many empires rise and fall and eras of peace through the galaxy’s history. I remember reading about the history of the celestials and them naming the cyclical tug between light and dark “the star wars.”

I think when the Father asked Anakin to take his place, he was really prophesying, because this is exactly what Anakin has done. He has truly mastered the light and dark and uses them in harmony, as he does to teach Ahsoka in the World Between Worlds. He has ascended to his final form as The Chosen One and is guiding her in her destiny to become the light. I feel more sure than ever that Ahsoka will be the new embodiment of the Daughter. When the new Daughter and Son ascend, he will have brought balance once and for all.

How long does Anakin have visions of Padme dying?? Is this, like, once, or does it plague him for a while

Where does Mace Windu come in before all this

How long before the Order did Tup's chip malfunction?

where is Delta Squad? I don't think we ever see them during the Order in the books or the game, but I could be mistaken

and Aiwha Squad. As far as I know, they executed the Order, but I don't remember if it was at the end of their comics or if it is just implied off-screen.

One of my favourite parts of Star Wars lore is that since Anakin meets for the first time general Grievous in episode III, they had to write 7 seasons of the clones wars circling around their meeting

Plus the theory that Anakin says Grievous was shorter than expected because Ashoka meets him and she was small, therefore she described him from her perspective.

I love trawling through wookiepedia pages because sometimes you just run across the most insane shit. Like did you know one time Vader was bored because he was running out of Jedi to hunt, and his solution to that was to ask Tarkin to hunt him for sport? And Tarkin said sure man sounds like fun. And then over the course of like a week Vader killed off all the soldiers Tarkin brought with him, and then Tarkin damaged Vader's respirator but Vader still almost managed to Force choke him to death before losing consciousness himself??? This is not a joke this is star wars cannon.

Like, Anakin why? Just go fix a droid or something, this is not normal.

I don't get people who hate Omega.

I have not liked many of SW child characters, but Omega I do like. Don't know if it is because of being now older myself and just accepting some of her behaviour as just something that children are doing.

Or because she really does not annoy me.

I have genuinely loved her expressions, her ways of seeing the Universe for the first time etc.

Maybe it is because her back story is very easy to be absorbed? It is very solid as all of us, star wars fans, now know the clones and Kamino and the whole entanglement related to the relations there. As well as how they did grow up there.

She has a slot in the universe where she fits in.

I know many people had issues with Ahsoka as she first arrived, because her part was not as clear. We needed a whole Clone Wars ans a part of a complete own show to get her backstory.

But then on the other hand.

Many people had issues with Anakin.

And we all KNOW who he was going to become. And still people were whining. The acting naturally was not that good, but it kind of is not fault of an actor in many cases. And it was not all that bad, but still there were a lot of people who hated young Anakin to the guts.

It makes me wonder if that actully is a sign of the general recentment towards children. It should not be mixed up with not wanting kids.

I want to stress that it is ok to not want kids. It is ok to not want to be around kids. But still.

Hating a young character should be based of them to actually be bad characters.

Writing them as a child and them being childish is just natural. If they annoy you because of their childish qualities, that is actually because you might not like kids. Right?

PART 1 of my project on mapping out regional variations in the people of Shili, also known as the togruta!

For even more detail, read below!

Shili is home to a variety of coastal communities, ranging from freshwater, to wetlands, to oceans, to small islands whose populations have remained more genetically isolated. Many of the traits seen in individuals of these regions were developed to help them become the best fishermen and swimmers of the planet.

Their most defining features are the larger, smooth markings across their bodies that can be broken down into thin stripes, much like some of the aquatic life they hunt. Combined with their often more horizontal montrals and shorter lekku, it is hard to mistake someone who hails from these communities.

The one shown in this example is wearing a traditional loin piece that has been worn by his people for generations and is based on the Maro and similar Polynesian styles.

Often host to people from all over their planet or other planets in nearby systems, the ocean regions have begun to develop a bit of a tourism industry. Of course, many of the communities who have lived and fished those waters for centuries are now pushing back on the change in local culture. Many of the oldest villages on Shili are found on these coasts and still hold their traditions very close to their hearts.

This design mainly based off of small physiological adaptations that different groups would develop over periods of time in certain climates and ecosystems. Many modern togruta may have a combination of traits from different regions in their appearance and this is related to the gradual globalization of the planet and its cultures.

thinking about the fact that cal is one of the last jedi to find a kyber crystal on ilum before the empire completely decimates the planet in order to build the death star. by the time ahsoka visits the planet is crumbling and an ancient jedi rite of passage is forever gone.
