a/n: hi hello 👋🏾 everyone blame @jasipereo and @malrie for this <3 they reminded me of my slight obsession with liper who are emotional cheaters. so uh. here’s a fic as a result. tw for emotional cheating lol

She knows it’s not rational. Her jealousy that is. Technically, Leo isn’t doing anything wrong. But for the millennia that Calypso has lived, she has never had a partner with a friend like this.

Leo and Piper are just that. LeoandPiper. A duo, of sorts. It’s been hard, since Jason’s death, with Leo and her drifting further and further apart, and him splitting his time between the Waystation and Tahlequah, and she barely sees him anymore.

These days, her focus is on concert band.

And if that includes a saxophone player named Odie, who looks remarkably like Odysseus, she never says anything to Leo about it.

But nonetheless, Leo’s still her boyfriend. Maybe. Honestly she isn’t fully sure, but when they have their fourth fight of the month over Iris Message, she realizes she needs to clarify a few things.

“What is she to you?” Calypso asks, and she watches as Leo’s brow furrows.

“She’s my best friend.”

“Best friends don’t call you to change their oil in another state.” She fires back and Leo rolls his eyes. “I’m a mechanic.”

“In training.” He doesn’t speak and she barrels forward. “You spend all week at the Waystation with Josephine and Emmie and Georgina, you haven’t been to a single one of my band concerts and then you spend all your free time with either Festus or her.”

“She needs me Cal. She just lost the love of her life,” Leo interjects and Calypso rolls her eyes.

“Oh sure, she needs you. What about me? Your girlfriend?”

Leo shakes his head. “I’m trying to be there for you as well. But I can only do so much.”

Calypso scoffs, pulling her jean jacket around her shoulders tighter. “You do everything for Piper. She calls, you go. She fucking stubs her toe on a rock, you sense a disturbance in the force. God, it’s like you’re in love with her!”

Silence. Dead silence that Calypso had never heard, not even when she was trapped on Ogygia, with only her thoughts and the wind spirits to accompany her - the occasional demigod dropping in every hundred years or so.

“She’s my person.” Leo says after a long moment, looking at Calypso with the harshest look he’s ever given her.

“You don’t need to understand it, but you need to respect it. She’s the reason I’m still here. She kept me sane in the Wilderness school, she kept me and Jason safe so many times. Look. I promised her I’d be there for her. I’m not going back on my word.”

And it’s then that Calypso remembers how headstrong he is. How he made an oath on the River Styx for her, despite knowing the danger it would pose.

If he did that for Calypso, a girl he barely knew, what would he do for Piper? His best friend. His person, as he had so eloquently put it.

She sighs. “Fine.” She looks down at her hands, at her green and white nails. The small spirals painted onto them feel like her mind, twisting and spinning around with no aim.

“I have a game on Friday. The band is playing.” She says quietly, looking back at Leo. His face is emotionless, but she can practically feel the annoyance radiating off of him.

“I’ll try and come.”

It’s not a promise. Barely even a response.

Leo: fine, but from all of those recent developments, especially the m&ms one, I have decreed that we cannot be friends anymore.

Hi! I'm a new Charmed blog eager (okay, fine, borderline desperate :)) to find other people who still like the show and followed you right away. Sending a few people a fun Charmed-centric "make you choose" to answer when/if you want to! 1. Paige as a brunette, Paige as a redhead or Paige as a blonde? (Clearly I'm starting with the most important issues first, lol) 2. Season 7 or Season 8? (Unpopular opinion, but I actually love both of these seasons...I love every season :)) 3. anyway in case you still see this i wanted to say i’m not sure many blogs followed me right away, it takes time to gain followers but i think it does help if you’re only posting about one show/fandom. anyway i was also gonna recommend maybe joining the charmed discord server you can join by asking off anon on @dailycharmed or @dailycharmedgifs and also a couple of charmed blogs (some multifandom like mine, some just focused on charmed) you might wanna follow who might follow back (if you recreate obviously):

surprisingly brunette!Paige, i didn’t think that would be my answer but yeah (though i still love her red and strawberry blond hair too)

you know for all its faults i still love season 8 so much (and i just love the show so much even if there’s worse episodes/seasons i still enjoy it all just not all to the same extent. the show was a huge part of my childhood so it’s really nostalgic for me)

Prue/Phoebe, i’m sure i could have really loved the Piper/Paige dynamic had it been done better but like the sister dynamics really went downhill after s3/s4. and i’m not saying it’s awful but the sister dynamics feel so realistic so the first 3 seasons between all 3 sisters and it just never felt the same starting in s4.

Prue/Andy i really like them and it’s just so tragic :/ but also Paige/Henry didn’t have as much time to develop cause they brought him into the show so late like both couples only have one season together but Andy was in all 22 episodes of season 1 whereas Henry showed up in 8x08 and was only in 11 episodes total.

you know i feel like if we’d gotten more time with Quake it might have won this one but we just got so many seasons of P3 though i wish my answer could be Piper’s restaurant that she should have opened some time in the last few seasons. although tbh i guess Quake and Piper’s restaurant we never got to see aren’t really hanging out for hours types of places.

Phoebe/Jason or Phoebe/Coop.... even though we got a lot more development for her relationship with Jason and i do enjoy their relationship idk i just really love Phoebe/Coop.

Sin Fransisco omg i love this episode so much idk how many times i’ve seen it.

Prue/Piper/Phoebe seasons overall yeah those seasons are just when charmed was truly at its best from learning how to control their powers and their powers growing to the becoming closer as sisters and just the amazingly realistic sister relationships between them all, as well as having some of the best episodes of the whole show like That '70s Episode, P3 H2O, Pardon My Past, All Halliwell's Eve.
