Naruto Team 7/Team Kakashi Tickle HC

AN: I've seen all of Naruto and up to season 3 of Shippuden so just keep that in mind if I don't have all my Naruto facts right. Also I wanted to throw Sai and Kakashi into this one as a bonus since these boys don't get enough love in the tk community so thats why there are in there too lol

Naruto:

- 50% lee + 50% ler

- So like canonically this silly boy is tklish and has been tkled a bit through the show

- So like I hc that most of his friends already know his spots and when he’s being annoying they poke his side and are like “stop or I’ll keep going”

- And the poor dumb boy is just ignores the warning which ends in him getting wrecked

- His spots are his sides, his underarms, his neck, his little face whiskers, and his hips

- Normally tkled by Sakura, Iruka, Kakashi, Shikamaru, Sasuke, and anyone else he happens to piss off from time to time

- His laugh is really breathy and giggly too so at first people would always tickle him a little bit then let him go bc they think he’s had enough

- But ofc Naruto has almost infinite energy so this would lead to…

- REVENGE TICKLES

- As a ler Naruto is ruthless

- Like if he needs to he’ll cheat and use shadow clones to help tickle his lee

- Naruto is def a rougher tickler, he likes to really dig into the lees spots

- Also he dosent rlly know how to tease but he does it by accident all the time

- “Gosh you’re so ticklish!”

- “You should smile like this all the time!”

- “You’re laugh is so silly it makes me want to laugh!”

- Like bro stfu you’re ticklish too

- Normally targets Sasuke, Sakura, Gaara, Konohamaru, and sometimes Hinata

Sasuke:

- 70% lee + 30% ler

- My mans is ticklish af

- So like when he was little I’m sure Itachi probably tkled him a lot before he had the whole killing spree

- So Sasuke knows he’s ticklish but never told anyone bc he was embarrassed abt it

- He sees tickling as a weakness so he never took part in it until he was put on Team 7

- Like he would see Sakura tickle Nartuo sometimes and so he would do it too

- Poor baby didn’t know what he was getting into

- And ofc Nars would go for revenge tickles so then they all found out Sasuke was tklish

- Normally tkled by Sakura, Naruto, Kakashi, Kiiba, and Shino

- His spots are his knees, back, under arms, sides, and his abs

- As a ler he would start off shy then get more sadistic

- Like he would tickle Naruto and at first just stay straight faced but slowly he would start to smile with him

- Big teaser

- “You’d think a shinobi wouldn’t be taken down like this”

- “I wonder what would happen if anyone else found out about this… I don’t think you would last a day without being tickled like this”

- “This is so embarrassing for you huh? Would it be better if I had someone else help me wreck you next time?”

- “Sorry you’re laughing too much for me to understand you!”

- Likes to pin down his lees

- Can and will use Sharigan to find his lee’s spots

- Tickle fights with Naruto are a normal occurrence

- Targets Naruto, Sakura, and Kakashi if Naruto and Sakura help him

Sakura:

- 50% lee 50% ler

- Averagely tklish

- Squeaky laugh

- Like a mouse

- She finds it a bit embarrassing

- Tickled by Naruto if she’s having a bad day or if she just need cheering up

- Sometimes Sasuke helps if she is feels especially upset

- Her spots are her sides, her back, her neck, and her ears

- When she was a kid Ino took advantage of her ticklishness by poking her every time she went to go pick up a flower

- As a ler Sakura is normally really soft and sweet

- That is of course if you aren’t on her bad side

- She saves her ruthless ler skills for a specific energetic blond teammate of hers

- With most everyone else she skitters and spiders her finger lightly over her lees spots

- (She’ll also throw in a few pokes here and there)

- Doesn't normally tease but if she does it's always soft and sweet

- "I love hearing you laugh!"

- "You're doing do well!"

- Targets Naruto, (sometimes) Sasuke, Ino, and anyone else who might be having a bit of a bad day

Sai:

- 70% ler 30% lee

- Not very tklish but he has a few spots that get him laughing

- Tklish ears, neck, and knees 100%

- The first to find out was Naruto (by accident ofc)

- He isn't tkled often but when he is his laugh is quiet and deep

- As a ler though you should run

- Can and will use his paint brushes to tickle his lees

- Loves painting on his lees too

- If he invites you to be a canvas for him DONT GO

- or do

Kakashi:

- 80% ler 20% lee

- Big big ler

- He'll tk his students if they are having a hard day or get back from a hard mission and need to relax

- Nars is normally his victim lol

- Like if everyone is bickering he'll ask Naruto to come up to him. then he like pins him down and tkls him

- The whole time he just keeps talking about missions and normal stuff while giving Sasuke and Sakura this look thats like "loosen up or you're next"

- He tries to go easy on them when it comes to teasing but if he needs to knock Naruto or Sasuke down a level he won't hold back

- They know he means it all in good fun though and he always makes sure to stop when his students have had enough

- Most people don't try to tickle Kakashi cause they fear his wrath

- Though there is one person who isn't scared

- Might Guy will tickle Kakashi after he loses to him if he feels sour about it or just if he thinks Kakashi needs a laugh

- Casual pokes to Kakashi while he's talking or reading is very common

You yawned lightly, pulling your robe tighter around you and hurrying toward the light tapping on the door. As you walked through the hall you caught a glimpse of the clock, 3 am? Who is coming over at 3 am in the middle of the week??

“Okay, I’m coming!” You groaned when the knocking continued, pulling open the door your breathing hitched

“Yes-what the hell Itachi??” You exclaimed catching him as he tipped over and onto you, hugging you like his life depended on it in his drowsy state. He had what looked like some dried blood on him and his face was littered in small cuts and bruises, he allowed you to pull him to you and you kicked the door closed with your foot lowering him to sit on the couch. You pried his arms from around you and cupped his face pulling it from where he buried it in your stomach, angling his chin up so you could inspect him.

“What happened?” You asked, butterflies going off in your stomach as he looked up at you with glazed unfocused eyes. When you got no response you didn’t push it, sighing deeply instead

“Alright. Well, take your clothes off” a light red color dusted his cheeks but he obliged, easily lifting his shirt over his head with a light smirk.

“What now, my love?” He asked lazily tugging you toward him by your robe, his voice deep and smooth. You laughed gently pushing his hands away

“Calm down, I just want to wash the blood off of your clothes- wait here”

You managed to get him into the bathroom, where he sat on top of the closed toilet with you between his legs and a med kit next to you on the countertop

“You know, you never did tell me how this happened to you” his hands rested on the back of your thighs, eyes closed and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips “Or why you’re tipsy” You added, squinting.

“You noticed that? Ah, sorry my love... I just got into an altercation, that’s all. I drank a little hoping it would help with the pain. It didn’t” he added, wincing when you began to clean the cuts on his face. While you worked on cleaning him up, you couldn’t help but be slightly angry at the amount of damage done to him. You hated seeing him like this, and he would never let someone do this to him so you knew he had to have been attacked by more than one person. But for and why this late at night?

Multiple questions bounced around your head concerning who or why, and after a while you didn’t notice the frown that etched itself onto your face. Itachi gave the spot on your legs where his hands rested a reassuring squeeze, and when that didn’t catch your attention he leaned up from his sitting position to kiss your chin which is all he could reach.

“Why are you frowning? I’m okay, don’t worry yourself” He reassured you, giving you his usual light smile. You shook your head not able to hold back your own smile, packing up the kit and putting it away. When you went back to the bathroom he was gone, instead he sat on the edge of your bed in the pair of pajama pants you left out for him

“Can I stay here tonight, y/n” he asked tilting his head at you, making you pause and those same butterflies from earlier reappear. Your nervousness delayed your response and when you didn’t answer fast enough, Itachi pulled you onto the bed next to him rolling so that his arms were around you

“Hm?” He hummed, burying his face in the crook of your neck. Your giggles came out involuntarily and you scrunched your shoulders trying to squirm away

“Itachihihi! Okahahay!” His chest vibrated with a deep chuckle and his grip tightened when he realized why you were trying to run

“What did you say, my love? I can barely understand you” he teased switching to fluttering his fingers against your sides, your laughter kicked up a notch and you threw your head back tugging at his wrists

“Nohoho, plehehehase don’t!” He raised an eyebrow moving down to claw at your stomach, giving you a slightly surprised expression when it drew even louder giggles from you

“You don’t want me to stay? Well okay, I’ll go but just know that my feelings are hurt” You shook your head back and forth, arching away from his clawing fingers as much as he would let you-which wasn’t very far

“Okay ahahahah-you can stahahahay” you nearly scream when he moves his hands higher up to ghost over your ribs, his light touches all over easily making you laugh like crazy “Mehehrcy! Itachi!”

Your laughs fell silent and he finally let up, staring down at you fondly

“I should make you sleep on the couch for that” you joked through your heavy breathing, lazily turning and snuggling yourself into him sleepily

“Sorry, I couldn’t help myself. You’re adorable”

He chuckled placing a kiss on your nose, then cheeks to calm you down all the while ignoring your glares with an amused smile.

*I am now starting to write Naruto stories. But before I do, I have my own head cannons on how I think this will go down. Feel free to disagree, but this is my opinion and the way I see it.

Naruto Tickle Headcannons (Konoha 11 + Sasuke + Senseis + Sand Siblings):

Naruto

-This man is the most ticklish person in the entire village

-He just can't control his actions when he's tickled, so unless he's pinned down or tied up, no one can blame him for any injuries or trips to the hospital

-One of the few who enjoy starting tickle fights

-His most ticklish spots are his belly and feet, but is practically ticklish everywhere

-What starts out as cute giggles at first turns into loud cackles as time passes

-He can't take teasing very well

-He has a secret spot on his ear that makes him squeal like Tonton (only Sasuke knows about this)

-Squirms and kicks a lot, so he needs to be held down in order to get him

-He's only ever tickled when he's being too annoying or he pulled off one of his pranks (especially on Sasuke and Sakura)

-Whenever he is a ler, he'll allow his lee to run away for a bit......only for him to use his Shadow Clones to catch them and tickle them

-Loves teasing his lee

-Raspberries are his speciality

-After he's done, he'll wait for a bit trying not to get attacked again, but also making sure his lee is okay

-Fun fact: Kiba and Hinata know what happens when they tickle Naruto's back

Sasuke

-Many people think that the great Sasuke Uchiha isn't ticklish

-Only a select few know the truth (thanks to a certain hyper knucklehead ninja)

-Sasuke isn't as ticklish as Naruto, but he's pretty close

-Unlike Naruto, however, he's not ticklish everywhere

-He's not ticklish on his knee area or his thighs

-He's the only person that can actually control how he laughs when he's tickled

-His laugh starts out with nothing more than giggles, slowly turning into a deep, belly laugh whenever he can't control his laugh anymore

-He can't take teasing very well because it reminds him of when Itachi used to tickle him when they were kids

-Squirms around quite a bit, and WILL kick anyone who isn't holding his legs down

-Swears a lot

-Whenever he becomes a ler, he shows his lee no mercy, immediately going in for their most ticklish spot

-Fortunately, he doesn't want to kill his lee, so he lowers the torture for a few minutes tickling his lee's lesser ticklish spots until he goes in for the kill again when he gets bored

-Whenever he is finished, he'll make sure the lee is okay, then walk away as if he just didn't tickle torture someone (but not without threatening them about tickling him again)

Sakura

-This girl isn't insanely ticklish

-At most, she's about a 5/10

-But she is still ticklish, making it fun for Naruto and Kakashi to tickle her so she doesn't feel left out

-She is only ticklish on her sides, stomach, feet, and neck (her feet being the most ticklish spot)

-She squeals a lot when her neck is being tickled

-She can take teasing surprisingly well

-Doesn't squirm as much as her teammates

-Snorts every now and then

-Whenever she becomes a ler, she's a little ruthless

-She rarely ever teases her lee

-Spider tickles are her favorite to give to her lee

-Whenever she is finished torturing her lee, she'll make sure they're alive and walk away to avoid any more tickles

Kakashi

-You would think that someone like Kakashi wouldn't be ticklish

-Imagine Team 7's surprise when they found out that Kakashi was indeed ticklish

-He is a little embarrassed about it because the only ones who knew were Obito, Rin, and Minato

-Like Sakura, he isn't very ticklish (he's only ticklish in two spots)

-His underarms and hips seem to be the only places that get him to react in any sort of way

-It takes someone like Guy to hold him down and have him beg for mercy

-He can take teasing very well (unless his ler is Guy)

-His laugh starts out as loud cackles but eventually gets into a childish laugh with occasional giggles

-Doesn't squirm as much as his students

-But once he's a ler, his lees are all but done for

-He will slowly tickle his lee to get them to giggle and make them all red because slow tickles are unbearable

-He will make his lee wait for the big tickle attack he has coming, but he makes it so that it takes forever to come

-Sometimes he just quickly tickles his lee to make them think that he's getting serious, but he's just messing with them

-Sometimes he'll copy his lee's tactics on how they tickled him and tickle his lee the exact same way

-Once he's done tickling his lee to the point of passing out, he disappears, planning his next attack and expecting a tickle ambush

Kiba

-This boy is the ultimate tickle partner to have

-One of the few who enjoy starting tickle fights

-He is almost as ticklish as Naruto, being just above Sasuke by a bit

-He doesn't get embarrassed when someone tickles him (unlike a certain teammate who gets flustered just by the word alone)

-Although, he can't take teasing very well

-His laugh is high pitched and sincere, making his ler laugh along too

-He's ticklish just about everywhere, but his underarms, palms, and knees are the most ticklish (his ler should remember not to tickle his underarms for too long, unless they plan on making Kiba wet himself)

-The only person he's afraid of being tickled by is Kurenai

-His feet aren't that ticklish because he is used to Akamaru's fur underneath his feet

-He has the cutest giggles when his neck is tickled

-He squirms a lot like a dog and tries to tickle his ler back (most of the time, unsuccessfully)

-Once he becomes a ler, he is ruthless

-He constantly teases his lee as he wrecks them

-He uses his teeth to nibble on his lee's spots to get them to a pile of giggles

-Akamaru sometimes helps Kiba tickle his victims as well

-His sharp nails make slow tickles even more unbearable

-He only attacks his victims most ticklish spot whenever he and Akamaru are going to finish

-When he's done, he asks his lee is they're okay, and let's them pet Akamaru cause he's a nice guy

-Fun fact: Sometimes Akamaru goes against Kiba and tickles him instead, turning the tables quite quickly

Shino

-This man isn't ticklish at all

-Kiba tried tickling Shino once, but quickly became disappointed when he found out that the guy wasn't ticklish

-At least, that's what everyone thought

-Hinata accidentally found out that Shino was ticklish while training with him

-She promised not to tell anyone about his secret (until Kiba forced it out of her)

-Kiba tried tickling Shino's back and was satisfied with the result of Shino screaming

-His back is the only place where he is ticklish, and Kiba takes full advantage of it whenever he wants to be annoying

-Shino can only tolerate tickling as long as it's with Team 8 and it's in private

-Whenever he can tolerate it, he can't take teasing at all

-He isn't really into the idea of tickling in general though, and he really prefers to stay away from it as much as he can, but sometimes he's dragged into it by either Kiba or Hinata

-Shino is a decent ler that can follow and have boundaries

-Doesn't tease his victims

-Will not tickle for too long (unless his teammates ask for it)

-Sometimes he'll cheat and use his bugs to help him tickle his victims (but ONLY on Kiba, as Hinata does not like it)

-When he's done, he'll ask if they're okay and ask them to not bother him with tickling again (knowing that Kiba isn't going to listen)

Hinata

-This girl is too cute not to tickle

-She is a lot like Naruto, only minus the violent thrashing and kicking

-She is ticklish everywhere, her feet being the most ticklish

-Kiba likes to tickle her for fun because it's funny to see Hinata's reaction

-She can't take teasing very well

-She doesn't mind the idea of tickling, but she tries to stay away from it like Shino because she doesn't want Naruto to find out how terribly ticklish she is (something Kiba takes advantage of every time Naruto is around)

-Luckily because Naruto is so dense, he never found out (that is, until Kiba got impatient and told him because Naruto was too dense to figure it out on his own)

-Her laugh is adorable, and a lot like Sakura, a mix of giggles and squeals, with a hint of snorting and squeaking everything now and then

-Hinata will not become a ler unless Kiba or Naruto convince her

-Once she is a ler, she's gentle with her tickles, never going too rough with her tickles unless her lee really asks for it

-Unless her lee is Shino and Kiba

-With them, she's not the same Hinata she once was

-She will tickle Kiba and Shino without hesitation and with her Byakugan on to find their tickle spots and where they squeal the most

-She doesn't go for too long, though, and stops whenever her lee gets red in the face

-Once the tickling stops, she will make sure that her lee is fine and that they don't hate her for doing that

Kurenai

-This woman is a bit complicated

-She is one of those people who need to be caught off guard in order to tickle her (to date, Asuma is the only one who has been successful)

-Her laugh is a mix of giggles and squeals like her student Hinata

-She can take teasing surprisingly well

-Her most ticklish spot has to be her neck (that explains why she never let anyone touch it, especially Asuma)

-Once she's a ler, her victims had better hope that she's a nice ler

-Depending on who tickled her, how they tickled her, and how long they tickled her, she can either be a nice ler or an evil ler

-As a nice ler, she's gentle and quick with her tickles, blowing raspberries and teasing lightly as to not make them lose too much oxygen or get too red in the face

-As an evil ler, she's ruthless with her tickles, blowing raspberries, squeezing in some quick pokes and squeezes to her lee's most ticklish spot every now and then, and teasing every chance she gets, not really caring too much about how red their face is or if they need to use the restroom (and this is why Kiba is afraid of being tickled by Kurenai)

-Once she's done torturing her victims, she'll apologize IF she was the evil ler and will take her victims out to eat

-If she's done being the nice ler, she' won't apologize cause she knows that she didn't go overboard, but she'll still take her victims out to eat

Rock Lee

-Jeez, this kid just CANNOT catch a break

-Being just about on Kiba's level of ticklishness, he is almost always a victim to tickle fights

-Fortunately for him, he is one of the few of enjoy starting them before he becomes a victim

-His laugh sounds almost like Guy in a way

-He can't take teasing very well

-He's ticklish everywhere, but his forearms and knees have to be his weakest points

-Squirms like a fish out of water

-Sometimes kicks his ler if they're not careful (he can't control his actions sometimes)

-Once he's a ler, he shows almost no mercy and starts a tickle war with his victim

-He has observed Guy's way of tickling as well as Naruto's way

-He uses his speed to quickly tickle his victim and his strength to hold them down so that they can't escape

-Doesn't tease his victims because he doesn't know how

-He will squeeze his victims special spots sometimes just for fun

-When he's done, he'll ask if they're okay and apologize repeatedly for doing that (sometimes earning him extra tickles)

Neji

-This man is not ticklish at all

-I don't care what people say, you cannot convince me otherwise

-He finds it amusing how his ler tries to tickle him and quickly become disappointed

-Once they see his evil grin, they better run

-If they're unlucky enough to get caught, then they better hope that they live because NEJI HYUGA IS AN EVIL, EVIL LER

-He will tickle his victims nonstop until he's satisfied with what he gets

-Teases are a must for him

-Raspberries are only for those who must be punished (definitely not looking at Naruto, Hinata, Rock Lee, and Tenten)

-Once he's done, he'll have no regret of what just happened, but he'll make sure that his victims are okay

Tenten

-This girl is just like Rock Lee in almost every way

-She can't take teasing very well

-She squirms a lot, but doesn't kick

-She is ticklish everywhere, but her stomach seems to be the death spot

-She rarely ever gets to be a ler because she's almost the main victim of tickling when it comes to Team 9

-Once she does become one, however, she likes to play dirty

-She can and will use her wide arsenal of weapons to trap her victims and tickle them regardless of their endless begging

-Not too fond of raspberries or teasing

-She will sometimes use her weapons kit to tickle as well

-Once she's done, she'll let her victims go and promise to not go easy on them next time

Might Guy

-Another person who isn't ticklish at all, but unlike Neji, he'll play along and act like he is to trick his "ler" into letting their guard down

-Once he turns the tables and reveals the truth, his victims better hope to live after Guy's done with them

-He does it all (raspberries, squeezing, poking, teasing, nibbling, etc)

-He won't tickle for too long, as he wants his victims to at least try and either escape or fight back

-Once he's finished, he'll make his victims alright by offering them a deal of some sort

Shikamaru

-This one pretends to not be ticklish so he can avoid any tickling

-But his best friend Choji always ropes him into it somehow

-He's very ticklish everywhere (especially his belly) except his feet

-Will scream with laughter if he's tickled for too long

-He squirms a lot and tries to use his Shadow Possession Jutsu to escape, but fails every time

-He can't take teasing very well

-He snorts whenever his neck is tickled, and squeals when his back is tickled

-He also has a secret tickle spot that only Choji knows about and uses when Shikamaru either calls him fat (accidentally or not) or he's being too lazy

-Once he becomes a ler, he's the smartest ler that his victims will ever have

-It's as if he knows exactly where to tickle his lee

-He will tease and give raspberries, along with squeezing his lee's spots

-Otherwise, he will just use his Shadow Possession Jutsu to catch and tickle his lee if he's too lazy to actually use his hands

-Once he's satisfied, he'll release his lee and try to relax as if nothing had happened

-Fun fact: Shikamaru is cautious when using his Shadow Possession Jutsu as he knows that whatever happens to his victims caught in the jutsu, he's affected by it as well, so he tickles himself in order to tickle his victims because he can't feel it, but his victims sure can

Choji

-This big boned boy is quite ticklish, especially on his stomach and feet, which are his most ticklish spots

-He can't take teasing very well, but he can take it better than Shikamaru

-He is one of the few who enjoy starting tickle fights, even if he knows he can't win them

-It takes three people to hold this big boy down (or one Shikamaru)

-He has the cutest squeals and adorable squirm because he's careful not to crush or hurt anyone

-He always tries to curl up in a ball to reduce the tickling, but it doesn't really work

-Like Shikamaru, he has a secret tickle spot that only Shikamaru knows about (but Shikamaru only uses it when Choji is either being too much like Choji or he has to convince Choji to do something)

-Once he's a ler, Shikamaru will be praying for whoever is unfortunate enough to suffer the wrath of Choji

-Choji uses his weight to hold his lee down and tickle them

-He teases quite a bit and uses raspberries to really make his lee laugh

-He will laugh along with them because his lee's reaction is priceless

-Whenever he's finished, he'll make sure his victim is alright while eating chips

Ino

-This girl is pretty much Sakura, only her death spot is her neck

-Other than that, nothing else is different

Asuma

-Asuma is very ticklish, because he spent a lot of time with Hiruzen and Konohamaru, and found out just how ticklish he is

-Shikamaru was the first person on Team 10 to find out, and promised not to tell the others if Asuma managed to beat him in Shogi

-Naturally, Asuma lost and now has to deal with Team 10 and their tickle attacks

-He snorts and squirms a lot

-He's not ticklish on his feet, knees, or sides, but he's ticklish everywhere else (his underarms are his death spot)

-He can take teasing very well

-Kurenai loves to tickle Asuma's belly button because he has that deep belly laugh and he tries so hard to escape

-Team 10 quickly realized that they need to think about ever tickling Asuma sensei after he became a ler

-Like Guy, he does it all (raspberries, squeezing, poking, teasing, nibbling, etc)

-Like Kakashi, he copies whatever his ler did to him

-Temari and Kiba love taking advantage of this every time they hang out

Shisui & Itachi Uchiha

Group Headcanon (Instead of two separate headcanons, I’m combining these two together)

Itachi and Shisui are great friends. To Itachi, Shisui is to him what he is to Sasuke. Both of them have their moments and quirks, which interestingly enough include tickling. Both considered geniuses within not just the Uchiha clan but all of Konoha is a stressful and mentally draining task, so tickling is one of those things that just lets them relax.

Shisui Uchiha

ler:

As the designated Ler of the group, Shisui is a master tickler. His open and playful nature combined with his skillful fingers and all-seeing eyes allow for him to maximize his talents.

Shisui uses his talent for shunshin with ninja wire/rope to restrain and overwhelm his ticklish foes. Interestingly enough, this makes it really hard to tickle him as well.

Among the Uchiha duo, Shisui is also the tickle lover, in comparison to Itachi, and utilizes it to both Itachi and Sasuke as well as to random genin and chunin in the village as a "training" tactic.

He tends to read the body of his victims and focuses on their most ticklish spots, then when he gets a good enough read, he uses tools and oil to really bring out the hysteria... Ibiki actually used to request him as a junior interrogator, due to his uncanny talents XD.

Lee:

While quick and dangerous as a ler he's not above being tickled himself and is actually sensitive enough to it to get revenge on. Usually, close friends and family can get a chance to tickle him back, usually as revenge for his cheeky and mischievous nature.

When threatened with tickling, he usually makes his ticklers work for it by shunshining away and having them waste their time and energy to catch him.

Most ticklish under his armpits, under his toes, and across his belly. Tickling him in either of these spots guarantees sharp laughter and a chase across the village to get away.

Armpits

Tickling here makes Shisui jump out of his skin. By far the worst spot, and one that makes him live up to his moniker. 

Toes

A hard to tickle spot that only those he trusts most get to tickle. Tickling here really makes him laugh and is a favorite of Sasuke.

Belly 

Abs and lower belly are very ticklish, especially to soft touch. Tickling here will make him wriggle and squirm around in an effort to flee. 

Itachi Uchiha

Ler:

Not as big a lover as Shisui, Itachi is a methodical tickler more than a passionate one. As such his times as a ler are more utilized during interrogations and revenge against Shisui or against his little brother Sasuke.

Despite not having the ler gene like Shisui, he is still a brutal tickler, having an almost innate sense of where his victim is most ticklish. As well as utilizing his absolute mastery of genjutsu to make the victim more ticklish.

Tickling Sasuke is his favorite bonding activity and has never failed to make him truly smile.

Lee:

Itachi is not as ticklish as Shisui or Sasuke but that has not stopped them both from using him as a test subject XD. Shisui has openly stated that he enjoys wiping the stoic Uchiha expression off Itachi's face.

As the subject of Shisui's mischievous nature and Sasuke's admiration and sibling rivalry, Itachi has gained a solid mastery of evasion skills and resistance training. His fondest memory of tickling is of him and Sasuke teaming up and catching Shisui for his birthday and giving the older teen a ticklish workout

Itachi is most ticklish on his sides and ribs, then on his armpits. His feet have never been tested by either Shisui or Sasuke, to the formers chagrin and the latter's indignation. Even up till his death, he doesn't know if he's actually ticklish there.

Sides:

Itachi’s worst spot and one Shisui focused on most. Tickling here made him bark out laughter and instigated a “fight” between the two friends (hehe)

Ribs:

A spot that without fail made Itachi jump, even as an almost adult and Akatsuki member. Known by Shisui as the musical Uchiha because of the notes he made when tickling here.

Armpits:

Tickling here made Itachi cackle and laugh, a spot that hasn’t been touched since Shisui died and Itachi fled the village... ending a legacy of ticklish Uchiha’s and passing what was left to Sasuke.

Kakashi & Da Boyz: Lab Updates

Introduction

Approximately two years ago, I wrote this pairing lab report which compared Kakashi’s manga interactions with his top five AO3 pairings (excluding sensei/student and original character pairings). Since the numbers have shifted a lot for AO3, here’s what they look like in 2020.

Methods 

See prior work for methods on manga interaction count as published in Keepyourpantsongohan, 2018. 

It is worth nothing in this section why AO3 was chosen rather than FF.net or any other fanfiction website as a point of comparison: AO3 has the ability to filter character relationships by romantic pairings. While FF.net has developed this filter in recent years, its history and use is much more sporadic and would be unlikely to produce a representative sample.

Iruka: ((1,155) / 2,298 x 100) / 2 years = 25.1%

Obito: ((1,141) / 667 x 100) / 2 years = 85.5% 

Gai: ((497) / 391 x 100) / 2 years = 63.5%

Yamato: ((298) / 371 x 100) / 2 years = 40.1%

Itachi: ((40) / 111 x 100) / 2 years = 18.0%

Conclusion

As compared to the 2018 analysis, Iruka, Obito and Gai all got closer to proportionally matching up with their manga interactions, though this is most significant for Obito, who is nearly on par with his manga interaction percentages. In other words, Obito is almost exactly as popular as you might expect him to be based on number of chapter appearances interacting with Kakashi. The annual rate of growth for Obito (85.5%) is also by far the highest. I would be curious to know what factors made this increase so high. 

Iruka, like in 2018, is most prevalent as a pairing, and furthest from manga parity (in the positive direction). It is worth noting that the pairing no longer represents the majority in Kakashi’s top five pairings, going from representing 56.7% of fics, to 49.5% of fics. This seems to be a consequence of the rate of growth, because while there were the largest number of fics for Iruka in the past two years (1,155), there was also the second lowest annual growth rate at 25.1%. Even so, the raw numbers do speak to the popularity!

Gai has moved slightly closer to manga parity, with a 2.5% increase in representation. However, the pairing still experiences the largest percentage decrease in presence from manga to AO3. Still, the rate of growth for Gai is significant, being the second highest at 63.5%.

Yamato moved slightly farther away from manga parity, but only by a difference of 0.3%, which means the pairing has more less maintained the same level of popularity as two years ago. The rate of growth is middling, not anywhere near as high as Obito or Gai, but significantly higher than Iruka or Itachi. 

Itachi was as almost close to manga parity as possible in 2018, so the pairing will likely only get further away with more fics being written. But as there have been such a small amount written (20 per year) it would be a slow increase in discrepancy. 

Having acquainted myself with the commentary on the prior report, it might be theorized that “attractiveness” is a factor in popularity of character ships. However, this premise is flawed, because in my experience as a reader, the act of loving a character makes them handsome. See: The Once-ler phenomenon, as described by Ed Helms on Funny or Die (Fealasy 2012):

“I heard there are people who have a sexual predilection for my character in the Lorax [...] And that is very odd, because he’s not a real person. I do agree, however, that he’s extremely sexy. But I don’t condone sexual fantasy about the Once-ler. I don’t condone it.”

So in this case, we can assume attractiveness is a relative condition, superseded by the way that readers choose to love their characters. Personally, I think it’s very sexy of me to love Tenzo. All this to say, don’t worry about it. Who cares? I just made you read a quote about people wanting to have sex with the Once-ler. Think about that. 

The number of fics at the time of my making these charts was 6,969 though, so I think we’re all winners here. 

Limitations 

As I used the manga interaction counts from 2018, bias in my methodology then is still present here. 

In my original calculations, I actually had Obito at 35.8% instead of 35.0% for Figure 2, in a case of human error of inputting 49/137 instead of 48/137 in my calculations. This error has been noted and changed, but the potential for more human error is present in all of my calculations. 

I am aware of there being an event going on for Kakashi and Iruka as I write this, so it is possible that by the time this data is analyzed the number of AO3 fics will have increased. 

I will reiterate that I exclude sensei/student pairings (Sakura and Naruto being two of Kakashi’s top five pairings on AO3 in general; currently third and fourth respectively) because of my own discomfort and the fact I am making a comparison with their manga interactions, which take place when both students are 12-16 and Kakashi is 26-30. Minato would currently be the next highest after original characters, excluded for similar reasons. I also include Itachi with reluctance due to their age gap, but as he is at the very least 18 when returns to Konoha to speak to Kakashi, and he is the next highest in Kakashi pairings, he acts as the fifth pairing. So, in short: I am most certainly biased in what I included and excluded in my 2018 and 2020 data. 

Again, this analysis does not examine a number of variables, like the Naruto anime and ongoing sequel anime, other types of pairing content, etc. But it’s still very interesting to see the tide of fic on AO3. I would like to look at the anime specifically at some point, but this was already an incredible waste of time. 

Seriously, why would you read this? Why would I write this? Are we human, or are we dancer? We will never know.

Yukina é o tipo de pessoa que vive a base de comidas prontas, mesmo que seja ovolactovegetariana, ela exagera bastante em qualquer coisa que tenha queijo em seu preparo. Mas graças aos exercícios e aulas físicas que sempre gostou de fazer, é bem saudável para alguém que ama doces e queijo.

Maneira de andar

Furtiva. Essa é a maneira de andar de Yukina. Desde criança foi ensinada a caminhar sem fazer qualquer som, como uma maneira de pegar o inimigo desprevenido, por isso, é bem difícil ouvi-la chegando.

QUE TAL DESCREVER O PSICOLÓGICO?

Práticas / Hábitos

Um dos mais frequentes hábitos que Yukina tem é passar a mão pelos cabelos de modo a jogá-los para trás e também virar os olhos em desprezo — o que acontece com mais frequência do que o esperado já que geralmente não tem muita paciência com grande parte dos colegas de Aether.

Inteligência

Superdotada, é assim que Yukina sabe que é. Ela é extremamente inteligente, principalmente com estratégias de combate, embora seja um pouco preguiçosa quando se trata de fazer esforço demais ela sabe que sua mente compensa e afinal, é melhor ser inteligente do que forte. 

Temperamento

O temperamento de Yukina é misterioso, nunca se sabe como ela está, se está brincando ou falando sério já que não é de demonstrar muita coisa — ainda mais para quem ela não gosta muito ou tenha muita empatia —. Pode ser tida como contida, mas é extremamente vingativa e está sempre tramando alguma coisa, embora o rostinho meigo possa enganar quando quer.

O que te faz feliz?

Ocupar a mente com treinamento. Nunca conseguiu pensar em uma outra maneira de se acalmar, se animar ou simplesmente fugir da realidade do que treinar até sentir que seus músculos estão em pedaços — sem contar que a ideia de ferir quem seja seu inimigo é algo extremamente gratificante para a chinesa.

O que te faz triste?

Traição é algo que destrói totalmente Yukina e a faz ficar extremamente deprimida. A ideia de confiar em alguém e essa pessoa lhe apunhalar pelas costas simplesmente não lhe entra na cabeça e ao seu ver, merece a mais dolorosa das punições.

Esperanças

Ao ver de Yukina, sua única esperança é que se entenda que nem todos os descendentes de vilões são necessariamente uma cópia de seus pais e que muitos são forçados ou se sentem na obrigação de uma vingança ou acerto de contas… é algo tolo, ela bem sabe, mas é a única coisa que pensa.

Medos

Seu pai é seu maior medo. Shan Yu não é uma pessoa que se deve respeitar e sim temer, visto que ao ver do homem o medo gera respeito e a jovem herdeira teme um dia sofrer a fúria do vilão.

Sonhos

Tornar-se uma guerreira de prestígio, seja para ajudar os mocinhos — algo bem difícil em sua mente — quanto para derrubar aquele mundo cor de rosa criado pelos “heróis” e finalmente assumir o poder junto ao seu pai e seu irmão.

QUE TAL DESCREVER ASPECTOS PESSOAIS?

Família

Única filha de Shan Yu e a mais nova, tem um irmão mais velho que consegue ser extremamente parecido com o genitor. Jamais foram uma família de verdade, amor é uma coisa que jamais experimentou do pai e os castigos por falhar em alguma missão ou treinamento que lhe fora passado fizeram com que agradecesse mentalmente quando teve a oportunidade de ficar longe.

Amigos

Não é muito de ter amigos, tendo poucos em que confia verdadeiramente, como @maleficcnym e hesita em fazer amizades novas, preferindo ficar na defensiva do que simplesmente ser simpática e se abrir com alguém. Mas tem alguns que gosta: @momentforviv; @aieuliana; @amordemaeve

Solteira e acredita que um relacionamento só lhe traria problemas.

Depois que Shan Yu foi exilado na China, sua terra natal tornou-se um vilarejo afastado próximo das montanhas em Hong Kong e no qual o pai tornou-se líder através da violência.

Uma infância normal é algo que Yukina jamais soube o que era. Regada a treinamentos, lutas e missões perigosas demais para uma criança, ela jamais soube o que era brincar e isso fez com que se tornasse ainda mais fechada do que esperado. Ela e seu irmão jamais se deram muito bem e viviam competindo pela admiração do genitor.

This one would be quite the brawl. Would be pretty back and forth and would take quite a while.

Sasuke can be very stubborn so he'd be quite the nut to crack and can be really aggressive when this kind of situation arises.

Itachi on the other hand, is a damn good Ler so he'd make sure to squeeze every bit of laughter out of his little brother.

In the end, I'm actually gonna give it to Sasuke just barely edging out his brother. After a while, I could see Itachi just being so tired that he'd concede just so he wouldn't be so utterly exhausted.

And then they both fall asleep immediately. Cuz they tired.

CHAPITRE 12: CONFLITS

Brooke, Erza, Nicholas et Rumplestiltskin n'avaient pas bougé d'un pouce depuis que Katlyn avait quitté l'infirmerie. Cette énergie qu'elle dégageait les avait surpris. Jamais personne ayant dormi plusieurs semaines de suite n'avait paru si éveillé. De plus, quelque chose avait changé chez elle. Cette force qu'ils avaient ressentie était nouvelle. Katlyn ne s'était jamais montré aussi puissante qu'au moment où elle s'était réveillée.

  — Qu'est-ce que vous lui avez fait ?

  Ce fut la première question que Nicholas posa quand il se fut remis de ses émotions. Il regardait Erza et Rumplestiltskin, les deux principaux responsables de cette transformation soudaine.

  — Nous avons fortifié son esprit en l'initiant à des méthodes d'entraînement un peu particulières.

— Je ne suis pas sûr de comprendre.

— L'esprit assimile beaucoup plus de choses que le corps en lui-même, expliqua Erza, et cela est moins épuisant. En lui apprenant toutes ces choses durant son inconscient, nous avons fortifié ses défenses et augmenté son offensive. Elle a pu retenir la totalité de l'enseignement qu'on lui a prodigué.

— C'est un peu comme si on lui avait implanté un programme dans le cerveau.

— Vous l'avez programmée ?

— C'est un peu plus compliqué que ça mais on va rester sur cette version.

  Brooke et Nicholas semblaient peu convaincus par ces explications mais en avaient compris l'essentiel. Nicholas se leva pour rejoindre Katlyn. La connaissant, elle s'apprêtait à quitter la maison pour aller mettre en place un plan de bataille au Conseil. Il ne pouvait pas la laisser y aller seule. Erza le regarda quitter la pièce, hésitante.

  — Ce super plan a une faille, n'est-ce pas ? demanda Brooke.

— Ce n'est pas une faille, c'est un imprévu.

— Un imprévu de taille.

— On doit l'en informer.

— S'il apprend que vous avez fait quelque chose à Katlyn, il vous détruira.

  Les mots de Brooke laissaient entrevoir une menace qu'elle aurait mis elle-même à exécution si elle en avait été capable. Au lieu de ça, elle rangea ce qui avait été dérangé et quitta la pièce. Erza et Rumple se consultèrent du regard et décidèrent de retrouver Nicholas pour lui expliquer la situation. Katlyn avait beau avoir eu fière allure en sortant de son « sommeil », c'était une situation qui n'allait pas durer. Quand ils trouvèrent finalement le bureau dans lequel Katlyn s'était enfermée, ils la découvrirent en train de débattre avec elle-même face à Nicholas totalement désemparé. Elle demandait parfois le silence, comme si elle était la présidente d'une assemblée trop bruyante. La scène aurait pu être amusante si elle n'avait pas été si grave.

  — Je suppose qu'il y a une explication à ça aussi ?

  Comme de bien entendu, il avait senti leur présence avant qu'ils ne pénètrent dans le bureau pour apercevoir cette scène de folie. Malgré son apparent air désemparé, il restait calme. Pourtant, la tension qui agitait ses muscles laissait entrevoir une possible montée de colère à venir.

  — Vous aviez craint ce qu'il aurait pu emporter mais...

— C'est ce qu'il a laissé qui pose problème.

— Explications. Maintenant.

  Rumplestiltskin renâcla, peu enclin à se laisser donner des ordres, et laissa faire le sale boulot pendant qu'il réfléchissait à un meilleur moyen de s'acquitter de la corvée qu'on lui avait donné.

  — Iktar possédait ce qu'on appelle entre nous un « purgatoire », les limbes dont nous avons déjà parlé. C'était une des punitions que lui avaient donné vos prédécesseurs. Chaque fois qu'il s'emparait du corps de quelqu'un, il envoyait son esprit dans cette prison. C'est là-bas que j'ai rencontrée Katlyn.

— Et ?

— Cette punition était pour qu'Iktar n'oublie jamais ses victimes, pour qu'il puisse constamment entendre la voix des âmes qu'il a torturées. Cependant, j'ignore comment il a réussi son coup mais il a relégué ce châtiment à Katlyn.

— Elle n'est pas toute seule dans sa tête ?

— On peut résumer ça comme ça.

— Le problème qu'essaie d'exposer Erza, intervient Rumplestiltskin, c'est que l'esprit de Katlyn résiste déjà difficilement aux voix qui l'assaillent. Il est peu certain que, dans l'état actuel des choses, son corps tienne le choc sous les assauts répétés de ces âmes désespérées. Elle présente d'ores et déjà des signes de faiblesse.

  Il tendit l'index en direction de Katlyn qui tournait en rond en dialoguant avec elle-même. Elle ne se préoccupait pas du filet de sang qui s'échappait de son nez. Nicholas assistait avec impuissance à cette nouvelle descente aux Enfers. Il sentait l'esprit de Katlyn se consumer sans réellement comprendre pourquoi et il leur en voulait. Il en voulait à ces apparitions qui avaient promis de l'aider mais qui dénonçait sa fragilité psychologique. L'expérience qu'ils avaient menée sur elle était destinée à renforcer son mental. En avaient-ils profité pour piller son héritage ? Oubliant la règle première des loups garous, Nicholas perdit son sang-froid, empoigna Rumplestiltskin par le col de sa chemise et le plaqua au mur si violemment que les fondations tremblèrent. Les pieds du Ténébreux ne touchaient plus le sol mais plutôt que d'avoir peur, il eut un rictus, fit un geste de la main qui obligea Nicholas à reculer. Le loup ne lâcha pas prise et réattaqua.

  — Qu'est-ce que vous lui avez fait ?! s'écria-t-il, furieux.

— Absolument rien de ce que vous semblez penser, lui répondit l'autre avec un sourire sans joie.

  Ils recommencèrent à se battre, sans que personne n'intervienne pour les interrompre. Erza ne savait que faire et Katlyn était trop occupée par sa conversation pour voir ce qui se passait autour d'elle. Soudainement, elle leva une main et les immobilisa tous les deux. La tension était palpable et Rumplestiltskin fut sincèrement impressionné – peut-être même un peu frustré – par l'impressionnant pouvoir qu'elle déployait sans efforts. Cette magie-là avait-elle aussi un prix à payer ?

  — Fermez-là ! Comment je peux réfléchir si vous vous battez comme des chiffonniers ? Allez régler ça dehors ou calmez-vous, merci !

  Les deux hommes s'arrêtèrent immédiatement. Ils étaient, de toute manière, contraints à l'immobilité par la magie déployée par Katlyn. Ils continuaient néanmoins à se regarder en chiens de faïence.

  — J'ai déjà l'impression d'avoir vécu ça, déclara Erza.

— Tu pourrais nous relâcher maintenant ?

  Cependant, Katlyn était repartie dans sa conversation à sens unique. Du moins, c'était l'impression que ça donnait de l'extérieur. Du coin de l'œil, Nicholas l'observait. Il sentait la surcharge d'activité cérébrale. Il voyait les tremblements, les saignements. Vu ainsi, Katlyn ressemblait à un cobaye pour une expérience destinée à augmenter les capacités psychiques. Beaucoup d'humains avaient laissé leur vie dans cette expérience. Cependant, Katlyn était tout sauf humaine et déjà rompue à la télépathie.

  — C'est impressionnant, souffla Gold.

— Katlyn ? Tu peux relâcher ta magie maintenant. S'il te plait.

  Il eut à peine terminé de prononcer sa phrase que l'enchantement se dissipa. Le corps de Katlyn s'affaissa en même temps que son emprise. Nicholas la rattrapa avant que ses genoux ne heurtent le sol. Elle n'avait pas perdu connaissance mais l'activité cérébrale n'avait pas cessé. Elle avait même empiré. A un tel rythme, elle allait devenir folle. Ou son cerveau allait exploser sous tant de pression. Il fallait trouver un moyen de rafraîchir la machine avant qu'elle n'implose. Se détournant des deux apparitions, Nicholas entraîna Katlyn dans la maison. Le seul moyen qu'il connaissait de rafraîchir quelqu'un, c'était de lui faire prendre une douche froide. Ce ne serait efficace qu'un temps mais c'était toujours mieux que rien. Sous le jet d'eau froide, elle parut redevenir elle-même.

  —Comment tu as fait ? bredouilla Katlyn.

— Comment j'ai fait quoi ?

— Comment tu les as fait taire ?

— Qui ?

— Les voix du purgatoire.

  Aucun des deux ne comprenait ce que l'autre disait. Cela ne les menait nulle part. Katlyn se sentait épuisée alors qu'elle venait à peine de se réveiller. Elle avait sous-estimé l'influence des voix. Elle ne pourrait pas rester indéfiniment sous l'eau froide. Alors, il se passa quelque chose qui ne lui était pas arrivé depuis longtemps : elle craqua. Ses larmes se mêlèrent à l'eau de la douche. Cela aurait pu rester invisible s'il n'y avait pas eu ce lien si fort entre les deux loups. Nicholas la redressa et la serra contre lui, lui servant à la fois de stabilisateur physique et de stabilisateur mental.

  — On trouvera une solution pour ça.

— Je ne pense pas être en mesure de le faire cette fois.

  Nicholas sentit tous ses muscles lâcher prise alors qu'elle relâchait la pression trop longtemps contenue. Personne ne s'était réellement rendu compte combien le rôle et l'importance qu'on lui donnait était lourds à porter. Ces derniers jours, elle avait dû se battre contre sa noirceur, contre la possession, contre ses propres loups, contre ses émotions... Elle n'avait pas cessé de combattre pour rester elle-même et protéger les siens. Elle ne s'était jamais plainte, n'avait jamais dit un mot alors qu'elle en avait largement le droit. Elle en avait supporté plus que sa part et elle l'avait toujours fait toute seule car tout le monde se reposait sur elle seule du fait de ses incroyables capacités. Pourtant, aujourd'hui, c'en était trop. Nicholas fit glisser ses mains du dos de Katlyn à ses joues et la regarda droit dans les yeux.

  — Tu n'y parviendras pas cette fois. C'est pour ça que nous sommes tous là.

— ...

— Tu peux t'appuyer sur nous. Tu n'as pas à faire ça toute seule.

  Katlyn ne répondit pas. Les voix étaient revenues. Son temps de calme n'aurait duré qu'un bref instant. Pour la première fois depuis longtemps, elle sentait poindre une migraine. Ce qui avait de quoi rendre fou un loup garou ! Elle se laissa aller contre la main de son âme-sœur qui l'embrassa doucement, lui communicant la force de son amour par ce geste si simple.

  — Si seulement ça pouvait s'arrêter, murmura-t-elle.

  Elle ne parlait pas seulement des voix et Nicholas en était conscient. Katlyn avait passé des années à rétablir la paix dans leur communauté. Elle avait instauré une alliance avec les vampires, créé un système de recensement pour ses loups, monté une école pour les plus jeunes, unifié les sangs purs et les sangs impurs et, pour finir, elle avait pris la précaution de lancer l'idée d'unités d'élites pour les missions spéciales. Sans jamais rien dire. Elle avait tout accompli par elle-même et son hybridité continuait tout de même d'alimenter le doute dans les autres communautés. Tout cela était fatiguant.

  — Dans ce cas, nous allons commencer par quelques explications avant de monter notre plan de bataille.

  Brian. Sitôt qu'il apparut sur le seuil de la porte, les voix s'éteignirent dans l'esprit de Katlyn. Il s'approcha d'eux, éteignit l'eau et sortit une grande serviette qu'il posa sur les épaules de son amie.

  — Qu'est-ce que tu veux dire ?

— Sèche-toi. On se rejoint dans ton bureau.

— Comment as-tu fait ?

—Tant que je serais dans les parages, tu ne les entendras pas. Je t'en donnerai la raison quand vous m'aurez rejoint.

  Il quitta la salle de bains et les voix ne revinrent pas. Nicholas se releva en entraînant Katlyn et la sécha doucement comme un enfant. Elle se changea et retourna dans son bureau où Brian l'attendait. Il avait renvoyé Erza et Gold. Katlyn se laissa tomber dans son fauteuil tandis que Brian et Nicholas prenaient place face à elle.

  — Comment tu as su ?

— Je suis ton protecteur.

  Il avait dit ça de but en blanc. Nicholas n'en fut pas surpris. Il le savait déjà depuis un moment. Katlyn, elle, l'ignorait totalement.

  — Tu... Quoi ?

— On m'a nommé en tant que ton protecteur bien avant ta naissance. La raison en est simple et j'aimerais que tu me laisses t'expliquer tout ça sans m'interrompre.

— C'est quelque chose que je peux faire.

  Katlyn se renfonça dans son fauteuil et croisa les mains sur son ventre, prête à écouter la confession de son ami de longue date. Elle se sentait énervée, sans précisément avoir de raison. On lui avait caché quelque chose, quelque chose d'important à en juger par la mine du vampire et du loup qui lui faisaient face. Comment pouvait-elle ignorer une information qui la concernait ?

  — Quand j'étais un très jeune vampire, il y a très longtemps donc, Iktar était mon ami. Nous avions fait la transition à quelques jours d'écart mais pas pour les mêmes raisons. Il s'est bêtement laissé embobiner par l'un des plus vieux et des plus puissants de la race qui avait trouvé en lui un certain potentiel. Ma transformation n'a pas été un choix. Elle m'a été imposée. Peu après sa transition, Iktar est devenu fou et avide de pouvoir. Déjà à l'époque, il voulait l'immortalité totale et les seuls capables de la lui donner, c'était ta famille. Le pouvoir est passé de main en main depuis ce temps. Il a donc décidé de s'en prendre au chef du clan Itachi, sans se douter que j'étais intervenu pour les prévenir. Personne n'a voulu croire un petit humain comme je l'étais à l'époque. Jusqu'à ce qu'Iktar passe à l'attaque. Malgré mes maigres capacités, j'ai réussi à m'opposer à Iktar et à sauver la grande majorité du clan. Pour me récompenser, ils m'ont parlé de la prophétie, de ta future naissance, et m'ont nommé protecteur de leur clan. Pour que cette protection se fasse sur le long terme et que je sois à armes égales avec Iktar, on m'a convaincu de faire la transition d'humain à vampire et on m'a doté de quelques dons spéciaux. Pendant des années, j'ai alterné entraînements et affrontements contre Iktar. Chaque fois que j'avais le dessus sur lui, il disparaissait quelques temps et revenait quand on s'y attendait le moins. Jusqu'au jour où on a réussi à le vaincre, à exterminer son corps. On a cru que c'était fini mais c'était sous-estimer la puissance qu'il avait accumulée. Depuis ce jour, je n'ai fait que le traquer. De ville en ville. De cadavre en cadavre. Puis, tes parents ont fait appel à moi.

— Tu... Tu as connu mes parents ?

  C'était la première intervention de Katlyn sur ce long discours qui l'avait laissée bouche bée. Pourtant, c'était ce dernier point qui l'interpellait le plus. Il connaissait ses parents. Il les avait connus. Pour elle, c'était plus important que n'importe quelle histoire de protecteur.

  — Oui. Ils connaissaient la prophétie et étaient conscients du danger qui planait autour d'eux. Alors, ils m'ont appelé. Pour veiller sur eux. Pour veiller sur toi.

— Tu savais ce que j'étais ?

  Contrairement à ce que Brian avait pensé, elle n'était pas en colère mais seulement curieuse de savoir. Il était le seul à pouvoir lui donner des réponses et quelques souvenirs sur des parents qu'elle n'avait jamais connus.

  — Je savais pour ta double nature. Cependant, étant donné que tes parents avaient fait en sorte de la réprimer, je m'attendais à ce que tu vives une longue et normale vie.

— Mais je me suis faite mordre.

— Les sangs purs te surveillaient depuis un moment. Ton avancée incroyable a attiré l'attention d'Iktar et tu es devenu sa cible. J'ai manqué à mon devoir. On en est là par ma faute.

— Beaucoup de choses sont subitement devenues plus claires.

— Qu'est-ce que tu comptes faire ?

— Je ne pourrais pas vaincre Iktar toute seule mais j'oublie vite que j'ai toute une armée.

— On ne sait même pas où il se trouve. J'ai cherché absolument partout.

— Je sais très bien où il se trouve. C'est le moment d'entrer en guerre.

  Brian et Nicholas se consultèrent du regard, se demandant si elle était vraiment sérieuse puis, obéissant à un ordre direct, ils se levèrent et firent circuler les ordres qu'elle leur donnait.

  Katlyn se tenait debout au milieu d'une vaste étendue de béton qui avait un jour abritée une zone industrielle. Aujourd'hui, la plupart des entrepôts qui occupaient cet endroit avaient été détruits ou abandonnés. Le béton était craquelé et des touffes d'herbes avaient repris leurs droits sur le bitume. La nuit était tombée depuis quelques heures et un vent soufflait sur ce désert agitant les cheveux, les vêtements et la longue cape de la louve. Elle ne bougeait pas, oreilles et yeux aux aguets. Elle attendait Iktar. Il lui avait donné rendez-vous ici. C'était la dernière fois qu'ils se verraient. Cette nuit, l'un des deux allait perdre la vie dans un combat sans arbitre.

  — Es-tu réellement venue toute seule ? Je ne te pensais pas aussi stupide.

  Iktar apparut brusquement en face d'elle. Seulement deux pas les séparait l'un de l'autre. Katlyn ne frémit pas, ne cilla pas. Elle l'avait senti venir. C'était l'avantage d'être un être surpuissant. Elle avait même perçu les centaines de vampires qui se tenaient en rangs serrés derrière leur chef. Elle leur porta un regard désintéressé avant de refaire face au regard à la couleur d'un rubis scintillant au soleil.

  — Je constate que tu es venu avec ton armée.

  Ils ne quittaient pas des yeux. Katlyn repensait aux mots de Brian et se demandait comment un bel homme comme Iktar avait pu devenir aussi foncièrement mauvais. Il n'était pas déplaisant à regarder. Il aurait pu avoir tout ce qu'il voulait. S'il n'avait pas voulu le prendre par la force.

  — Je me suis dit que tu viendrais avec la tienne. Tu ne fais que me rendre la tâche de te tuer un peu plus facile.

— Je n'ai jamais dit que j'étais venue seule.

— Je ne vois pas où tu aurais caché tes misérables clébards, cracha Iktar en éclatant d'un rire qui aurait fait froid dans le dos à n'importe qui.

— Ils sont ici et là, répondit la louve en faisant un signe désinvolte de la main pour montrer les alentours.

  Iktar sourit d'un sourire qui n'atteignit pas ses yeux. Il ne se laisserait pas berner. La louve n'avait pas peur de lui mais elle était venue seule. Elle était ou stupide, ou confiante.

  — Tu bluffes ?

— Tu crois ?

— Tu n'es pas à la hauteur d'un vrai leader. Tu ne l'as vraiment été que quand je te possédais.

— Troisième rang, cinquième personne !

  Iktar haussa les sourcils, se demandant si elle était devenue folle quand il entendit le sifflement de la balle, son impact et le corps du vampire désigné qui s'écroulait. Il ne tressaillit pas mais sut que Katlyn ne bluffait pas. Comment avait-elle seulement réussi à cacher ses hommes pour qu'il ne le sente pas ?

  — Bravo. Je me suis fait avoir. Je suis curieux de savoir comment tu fais.

  Le coup de bluff de Katlyn avait déstabilisé une partie des vampires présents dans les troupes d'Iktar. Ils se parlaient entre eux par télépathie, ne sachant que faire. Comment un petit brin de bonne femme avait-il pu semer ainsi le trouble ? Etait-elle aussi puissante qu'on le disait ?

  — Comme tu t'en doutes maintenant, je ne suis pas venue seule. Ayant passé quelques jours en ta « charmante » compagnie, j'ai pris mes précautions avant de faire intervenir mes hommes. Je ne voulais pas leur faire prendre de risques.

— C'est touchant !

— Oh, si j'étais toi, je réviserais mes propos. Ils sont furieux. Il m'est difficile de les contenir.

  Pour prouver ses propos, une nouvelle attaque fondit sur le groupe de vampires. Ce n'est lorsqu'une vingtaine de vampires fut neutralisée que les troupes de Katlyn apparurent sur le champ de bataille, révélant à Iktar que lui et ses acolytes étaient encerclés. Le vampire était furieux et sa fureur redoubla quand il vit que les rangs n'étaient pas seulement occupés par des loups mais aussi par des esprits – des esprits qu'elle avait libérés de son purgatoire d'où son insensibilité devant le cadeau qu'il lui avait laissé - des sorciers et même des vampires ! Avant de laisser libre cours à sa colère, il remarqua l'épais bouclier qui recouvrait l'armée ennemie.

  — Tu as pensé à les protéger ! Je retire ce que j'ai dit : tu es plus maligne que tu en as l'air ! Tu as juste oublié une chose !

— Laquelle ?

— Ton bébé.

  Avant que Katlyn n'ait eu le temps de réagir à cette nouvelle, elle ressentit une douleur si atroce dans le ventre qu'elle en tomba à genoux. Il avait réussi à trouver un point faible à sa stratégie. D'où lui venait cette idée ? Il ne pouvait pas être dans le faux. Son bouclier ne fonctionnait que sur les personnes qu'elle avait engagées. Elle ne pouvait pas protéger quelqu'un dont elle ignorait encore l'existence. Elle réussit à prendre la douleur sur elle et resserrer le bouclier autour de cet être en formation. La douleur s'effaça soudainement. Elle avait réussi. Elle se releva, haletante. Cette fois, il ne l'aurait plus. Nicholas et Brian se postèrent à ses côtés. Gold et Erza suivirent le mouvement. De même que les jumeaux Jenson, Cassandra et Pritkin ainsi que tous les autres alliés qui se trouvaient derrière elle. Ils étaient au moins aussi nombreux que les vampires.

  — J'avoue que je ne m'y attendais pas.

— Tu ne le savais pas ? Comment peux-tu ignorer le son du petit cœur battant en toi ?

— Tu as sûrement l'ouïe plus fine que la mienne.

— Ou j'ai simplement un autre atout.

— Je ne me ferais pas avoir une seconde fois.

— J'en suis certain.

  Ce fut ainsi que l'assaut fut donné. Esprits, loups, mages, sorcières et vampires se jetèrent dans la bataille qu'aucun n'était sûr de gagner. Ce fut bruyant et violent. Le sang colora le béton. Les sorts fusaient, éclairant la nuit tels des feux d'artifice. Des grognements et des hurlements emplirent la nuit calme. Les corps tombaient les uns après les autres. Iktar et Katlyn s'affrontaient dans un duel féroce et singulier à coups de glaives et d'épées, de katanas et de sorts, de crocs et de prises d'arts martiaux. C'était le plus dangereux de tous les combats mais aussi celui qui déterminerait l'avenir du monde surnaturel.

  — Il est temps d'en finir, Iktar !

— Je ne tomberai pas le premier !

— C'est ce qu'on verra !

  Le combat se poursuivait, de plus en plus violent, de plus en plus fatiguant. Pourtant, aucun des deux ne lâchait prise. Le premier qui ferait un faux pas serait celui qui y laisserait la vie et, pour le moment, ni l'un, ni l'autre ne paraissait vouloir céder à la volonté de l'autre. Ils croisaient le fer comme deux gladiateurs dans l'arène sans jamais arrêter, sans remarquer le chaos autour d'eux, sans voir les dégâts qu'ils faisaient. Les blessures augmentaient mais ne les ralentissaient pas. Usant de lames en argent et de sortilèges adaptés, la cicatrisation ne fonctionnait pas. Les corps étaient repoussés dans leurs retranchements. Ils combattaient la fatigue. Les loups avaient un avantage en poche : le lever du jour forcerait les vampires à quitter le terrain. Cependant, l'aube était encore trop loin. Peut-être même que personne ne survivrait pour la voir se lever. L'épuisement se faisait de plus en plus sentir et personne ne pouvait venir au secours de l'autre. Chacun était occupé par son propre adversaire. L'odeur du sang semblait les galvaniser et accroitre leur fureur. Le terrain était devenu glissant.

  — Tu fatigues, Itachi. Je sens que tu lâches prise. Tu n'es pas encore sortie de ta convalescence.

— Je suis plus résistance qu'on le pense !

  Pour prouver ses dires, elle barra une attaque du vampire avec son katana et le désarma. Il lui sourit et croisa les bras, n'étant pas du tout inquiété de sa situation.

  — Je suis bien plus létal sans armes.

— Tu le serais bien plus si je n'étais pas ton adversaire.

  Iktar recula comme pour récupérer son arme qui fut rapidement balayée par les pieds de deux combattants. Il n'en parut pas le moins du monde intimidé. Katlyn ne baissa pas sa garde, s'attendant à une nouvelle attaque. Elle réfléchissait. Il était vrai qu'elle était épuisée. Elle ne tiendrait plus longtemps en combat singulier. Maintenant qu'elle avait un temps d'arrêt, elle sentait nettement les blessures qu'elle avait reçues au cours du combat. La morsure de l'argent était pénétrante. Sa dernière chance était d'attaquer maintenant, pendant qu'il se jouait d'elle. Elle calcula son coup, établit une stratégie et la mit en place. Elle usa de sa technique de téléportation pour surprendre le vampire. Elle réapparut derrière lui et s'apprêta à lui enfoncer sa lame dans le corps quand elle vit le poignard qu'il tenait dissimulé. Elle se recula de justesse, sentit la brûlure de la lame sur son visage et la chaleur du sang qui jaillissait de la blessure. Elle porta sa main libre à son œil et essaya de reprendre le cours du combat. Son cœur battait à tout rompre. Il avait été très proche de la tuer. Le combat qui se jouait en arrière-plan se fit presque silencieux à ses oreilles. Le choc la privait de deux de ses sens essentiels. Son œil lui faisait atrocement mal. Elle perçut un mouvement, bougea en conséquence. Tout était flou.

  — On dirait bien que tu es à bout finalement. C'est presque trop facile.

  Il était debout devant elle. Elle mit un moment avant de pouvoir le voir correctement tant la douleur était cuisante. Il lui sourit encore une fois. Elle soutint son regard autant qu'elle put. C'était la fin pour elle et elle le savait.

  — Savoure ta victoire.

— J'y compte bien.

  Elle se débattit encore mais la lame qui s'enfonça dans son ventre réduisit tous ses efforts à néant. Elle lâcha son katana en sentant ses doigts s'engourdir. Une éternité parut s'écouler, éternité pendant laquelle Iktar maintint le poignard en place, pendant laquelle il la regarda agoniser entre ses mains.

  — Sache seulement que je ne partirai pas seule, siffla la louve entre ses dents.

  Iktar retira le poignard en murmurant quelque chose qui tomba dans l'oreille d'un sourd. Katlyn tomba à genoux. Elle avait l'impression d'avoir déjà vécu ça. La pluie se mêla à ses larmes de détresse. Le vampire riait. Son corps heurta le béton et ce fut fini...
