I would describe my style as a "Femme Fatale" meets "Parisian chic" aesthetic or edgy/glam minimalism meets dark Parisian style. I love classic, sharply-tailored silhouettes in all-black and a variety of fabrics (Satin, leather, wool, Pima cotton, etc.) updated with fun structural and cut-out detailing, trims, accents like pearls, lace, buttons, studs, sequins, etc. with some other neutral/color-blocking (with white, beige, grey, animal prints) thrown in there.

If you're with your boyfriend's family or something, you could wear lulus or something instead so you feel less like you're in your underwear. I was just at Cos in Vancouver and I saw the cutest little sweaterdress.. a sweaterdress with boots feels very cozy and festive for the holidays I think..

I don't really like these boots tho I would wear knee high boots with lace stockings!

There are a few significant items and themes I will be incorporating into my wardrobe this coming month. Once my final exams are completed and aced, I can initiate my cycle of introducing new pieces! I have been working very hard to clear out the pieces of clothing I no longer want or need. I do have a few more final pushes to make, but my closet is already looking tidier.

- Basic tops, tanks and long-sleeves. I went about the "layering" concept all wrong; instead of picking out investment tops, I simply found budget-friendly shirts and now they are falling apart at the seams. I really think that these things should be sewn in the way you like, and made with materials you like; it's not a splurge. I'm taking a look at RE/DONE, Leset (cutest tees, I love the Maya, the Margo, and of course anything with pointelle. Sheer is so sexy), Coucou Intimates and Helmut Lang.

- White blouses and dresses. What screams summer louder? I love the color that brands such as Lovesick Fancy bring to the table, but I can't indulge in such cyclical pieces. It's too much of a risk. I'm opting for vintage or used linen pieces that have a touch of an older spirit. It makes it more of a hunt. I love how Hailey Bieber, Kaia Gerber, and Elle Fanning wear those flows white ones. Ones with lace, buttons, ribbons, jewels, beads, pockets, collars, drawstrings, etcetera.

- Slim-fitting jeans. I love a cleanly-cut mid or high rise jean. I'm hoping to find another good blue wash from Acne Studios, but I'm looking at FRAME, Moussy, Mother, Reformation, and Alexander Wang. I think Ann Demeulemeester's Claire jeans will FOREVER be on my mind... someday I'll pull the trigger, but it's nice to fantasize about those jeans before I fall asleep. I don't want to ruin my romanticizing too early, even if it's about a pair of pants!

- Loafers. God, this is such a struggle! I thought I really liked the new chocolate-brushed loafers from Prada, but I went to the store to purchase them but ended up changing my mind. The heel isn't big enough, the patent leather is too flashy, and you know I disdain the logo situation. I want a chunky pump-like heel; I always wear platforms or high-tops, so I can't go down on the height. My dunks are emotional enough.

Questions on a “cozy” capsule wardrobe? I’ll be starting college and I’d love to wear sweats, athletic leisure wear and fleece but not sure how to build up a capsule closet for it and not sure how to look stylish with those looks!

Hi love! Congratulations on starting this new chapter of your life soon. So exciting!!

I would say some "cozy" essentials include:

A relaxed-fit crewneck sweatshirt

A soft tank/tee shirt

A zip fleece polo sweatshirt

Relaxed fit sweat shorts

Flared/bootcut/straight-leg sweatpants

A matching sweatsuit

A well-fitting pair of thick black leggings

Neutral-colored tennis dress/biketard

Fleece bomber jacket

I recommend getting them in all in neutral colors or matching the tops/bottoms for a monochrome look. Try pairing them with crewneck white socks and sneakers for a more polished look.
