thinking about janosh and adder when the devil’s den gets festive, thinking how those two must be the dancers of the group.

someone busts out a lute and maybe the crowd starts stomping feet or clapping to the beat. and adder is the first one to immediately look at janosh, to drag him up by the arm mid-drink, and they start laughing drunk and merry. i bet they’d nail the folklore dances, the very fast and upbeat ones with lots of twists and turns and twirls, a lot of grabbing on both parts and lifting your dance partner in the air.

and it’s the best entertainment in the den, adder yelling louder than the music, teasing janosh he’s the woman in the dance because his green tunic keeps twirling like a dress. and someone whistles at that and janosh flips him off and retaliates by yanking him closer, spinning so fast adder's hair comes loose, and adder whoops so loud the whole place claps along.

and it’s not even a performance, not really—just two idiots who’ve done this a hundred times before, who know the steps all too well. someone throws them a tankard mid-spin and they pass it back and forth between moves.

later, they’re breathless on the bench, laughing, wet, sweaty, flushed, and janosh grumbles that his ribs are sore from adder hauling him around like a sack of grain. adder just grinning like the spitfire he is, already asking if he wants to go again when the next song starts up. and maybe they do. because there's no battle to be fought. because for once, there’s nothing to do but dance.

Ford and Fiddleford go to find Stan for whatever reason (idk, maybe Ford found out that his brother is in a tough spot and decided to go find him to help him) and they find Stan in a club, pole dancing, with people throwing money at him. Ford doesn't know whether he should stare or look away. Fiddleford slowly takes out his wallet.

Every time Venom gets separated from Eddie in any of the Venom movies, he moves with such desperation to get back to him. Scurries, in fact. But it's sad Venom hours (newly instituted for me by a recent filmgoing experience), so rn I'm thinking about him desperately trying to reach Eddie in the water.

Btw Venom is so sweet in this movie, and when Eddie expresses horror about having to kill someone and says, "You didn't give me a choice," and Venom says, "I couldn't get to you, Eddie," yeah, I am not in fact prepared to let that go.

I'm going to be so real I do not understand tim & steph shippers who feel that Steph dating Tim again would save her character. You can make an argument that giving Tim a more compelling love interest would be beneficial for him! And you can at least make an argument that the fujo mischaracterization of Steph would stop. However she'd still, inevitably, be treated as a prop character/extension for someone more popular 😭 it also wouldn't make her appear in more books! Tim doesn't have many frequent appearances at the moment either! You can just say you like the couple and want them back together without acting like you have some kind of moral stance
