well, I was thinking about Falin and Chilchuck teaching Laios how to do Marcille’s hair, and then it turned into a spontaneous fic. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Spoilers for the ending of Dungeon Meshi. (<700 words)
“No, I think it looked a little more like this.” A pen scribbled against the parchment.
“Like this?”
“Yeah, just pull it a little tighter.”
Chilchuck tugged on the blonde locks until they were snug against Marcille’s skull.
“Yeah! That’s it!” Falin clapped in delight, and Chilchuck leaned back with a smug smile.
“There. Laios, you see? Easy. Now you try.” Chilchuck pulled the ties loose from the braids, and the entire hairdo collapsed. Marcille shook her head to get some of the wisps out of her eyesight, then turned the next page of her book.
A large presence settled behind her, and Marcille could feel his uncertain hesitation. “Don’t forget the comb, Laios,” Falin piped up.
“Ah, right.” A pause, and then a moment later Marcille could feel Laios’ hands awkwardly pick up her hair. He handled it like he would a newborn, anxious and delicate, but the way his sweaty palms would occasionally snag on her hair became too distracting for her to keep reading.
“You don’t have to be *that* gentle about it,” Marcille said, closing the book and setting it on her lap. “Just treat it like you would if you were healing somebody. Be practical.”
Chilchuck groused from where he observed a few feet away. “You better pick this up quick, Laios, I’m leaving for Kahka Brud next week.”
“Neither Chilchuck nor I will be able to help Marcille with her hair,” Falin said, her tone still soothingly soft despite the agitation of everyone else in the room, “so it’ll have to be you.”
Marcille flinched with a sound of surprise when Laios tugged her head sharply to one side. “Sorry!” he exclaimed, freezing up.
“It’s fine,” Marcille sighed, turning her attention to the paintings adorning the walls. She just had to be patient. This hair was getting to be more trouble than it was worth.
It felt like just a few minutes more before Laios’ hands left her, and she turned to see his arms pulled tight to his body in defeat, a grimace on his face like a student watching to see if their dungeonium survived the teacher’s grade. “That good?”
Falin and Chilchuck tilted their heads simultaneously, giving small hums of consideration. Chilchuck heaved a sigh and shook his head, and offered a hand mirror to Marcille. “Look for yourself. What do you think, Marcille?”
Marcille held the mirror up and moved her head left to right, searching for a feeling to rise in response. Satisfaction? Apprehension? She thought, and considered, and hoped, but all that answered her was an inky black nothingness in her stomach. “I don’t know,” she said. Hollow. She used to feel something there, when she looked at her hair. A sense of comfort, and a sense of pride. Her hair was like her mother’s, it connected them. And now all she could feel was…nothing.
Lowering the mirror revealed Laios’ face struck with despair, and she stammered. “Uh, I mean,” she raised the mirror again. “It’s a little…crooked?” Was that a good word to use? “It looks nice!”
“Here,” Chilchuck offered, reaching up, and Marcille turned her head toward his hands. He gripped the end of her hair and tugged on the tie holding it together. “If you take care to make sure all the strands get into the braid, it’ll look less sloppy.” The comb pulled through her loose locks again, and Marcille sighed. This all seemed like such a hassle.
“I could just cut it off, you know,” she said. “Falin has short hair! Lots of mages do!”
“No!” Laios exclaimed. “You love your hair! I mean, you used to! I’m sure if we get this right it won’t interfere with the way it helps your magic, like you said it would.”
“There are other ways to meditate,” Marcille mumbled.
“I’ll get this right. I *will*.” Laios’ voice was firm and stubborn. “Falin and Chilchuck are even drawing me instructions! I won’t waste their efforts!”
Marcille turned back around and picked up her book again, “Alright, have it your way.”
The tie pulled free from her scalp, and her hair tumbled down around her shoulders once more.

I'm sorry I just have to mention how horrifying Luffy is if you're not one of his friends. Like the latest chapter when bro said "you know there's no what I'm letting you escape right?" HUH???? AND ALSO WHAT THE FUCK WAS LITERALLY ALL OF WANO??? COULD YOU IMAGINE BEING THE UNLUCKY MF THAT HAD TO GO TRY AND ARREST THIS DERANGED CHILD?? WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS MORE LIKE I LOVE LUFFY BUT BRO IS SCARY

I'm watching Impel Down/Marineford for the first time (I know what happens but seeing the How is. painful. ouchie.) but I'm really loving how competent?? Croc is?? between reminding the escapees that 'we have cannons too' and calling them idiots for not knowing how to handle a tsunami and squaring up with a variety of heavy hitters. IDK it's just nice.
It is delightful! Especially considdering Crocodile had been living a life of luxury for well over a decade in Alabasta (not having to lift a finger to do anything and probably not going out to the sea much if at all) followed by spending an undisclosed amount of time in prison; like the man hasn't been participating in The Yar-Har Pirate Life in a long time, and yet he's such a veteran that all comes back out seemingly naturally. It's really impressive
But it just goes to show how independent Crocodile is (when he wants to), which makes sense. If the man doesn't trust others then it's very likely he's spent time alone even on the seas and could take of himself and whatever funny little boat he might've had. Like yes, having people who can do shit so he doesn't have to is nice and convenient (especially since there are things that would be a pain in the ass to do with just one hand, like the hook only helps so much), but like. Push comes to shove, he can handle it by himself.
Which would make him kind of a cute opposite to Luffy who 100% would not survive without friends around

I was going to ignore this because it really isn't worth the effort, but OP's tone kinda pissed me off and I'm petty.
1. You can take the action to filter out the tag. Therefore, you won't see a blog that's Anti Bakugou. You're choosing to subject yourself to our content and then whining about it. You're doing the same thing you're talking down on us for, hypocrite.
2. It's funny how you aren't saying a damn word about his stans. His stans who have at every turn been some of the most toxic and volatile people in the fandom. On every single forum- here, Instagram, Reddit, AO3, FF, etc- I've had a problem with Bakugou stans instigating conflict with me. I've been called literal slurs by Bakugou stans. Why is their behavior tolerated, but us creating a space to talk about why we dislike a fictional character a problem?
3. Having intellectual conversations with people who have the same or similar thoughts as you doesn't indicate a lack of hobby. And you know that, you're not dumb. You're attempting to act superior by shaming us because you don't like what we have to say. Cry more.

love love love that the first reaction from the marines upon finding loof in plain sight in the middle of their base is not "Pirate Captain Straw Hat Luffy!" it's GARP'S GRANDSON?! everyone is aware of Garp's scourge of the seas like your admiral's grandkid is just stirring up chaos every single day and somehow today it's fallen on your shoulders to deal with it

actually only (sadly) learned about there being a traditional dress for my region (the blue one) after i flipped through some old books that chronicled life in my village in the late 19th to early 20th century
i definitely want to draw more of these, if not the guys in specific lederhosen and styrian traditional dress. i have a insanely large soft spot for my austrian heritage and i love showing how beautiful our culture can be despite stereotypes :)

Sanji can't catch a break. Also, don't leave Luffy alone in the kitchen. (idk how accurate this is I just based it on what I did bc my brain shuts down when it comes to being in the kitchen)

Okay babygirls (gender neutral). I've surrendered, getting back on my shit because of One Piece. Send writing prompts for oneshots/ficlets! I'll use those as my warmups normally! So if anyone wants <3 inbox is open.
I'll do romantic and platonic and family stuff, though I'm like. Done with OPLA and uhhhh plunging through the anime.
I think I'll do

Lotta people wondering if there is correlation between "Haki can reverse DF status effects" and "Croc never used Haki" (-> "he can't use Haki lest it detranses him"), and while plausible
I do want to ask, do y'all think Haki could reverse what Shinobu did to Momonosuke? No, this is related I swear
Like my logic is that there's generally speaking two types of Devil Fruit abilities
there's ones that create "temporary status effects" onto others, either wearing off with time or if the user passes out/dies/undoes the ability (Foxy, Sugar, Bonney etc)
ones that change you permanently and won't become undone even if the user died (though some may still be reversible by the original user) (Hancock, Shinobu etc)
And as we know, Haki can reverse those temporary status effects, as we see Law do with the Sickness Doc Q inflicted on him and his crew, right
So the question is, while Haki can reverse the temporary changes, can it also break through those (mostly) irreversible changes? Do you think Momonosuke could reverse Shinobu's Ripening ability and deage himself if he mastered his Haki?
Because I feel like, if not, Crocodile could totally use Haki (if he can in the first place) without it undoing Iva-chan's HRT, because Iva-chan's HRT is supposed to be permanent, it doesn't wear off, the only way to reverse it is supposed to be by Iva-chan's own hands
But if Momonosuke could deage himself again by mastering his Haki, then I feel like Crocodile could indeed be in trouble
