Now that it's on my mind can we talk about how the DLC fights in Royal were kind of a missed opportunity?

They are pretty cool! But i feel like when you play the other games and actually understand how strong the protags are, they're pretty underwhelming.

Like fighting Yu would be something that should be a good fight. Something really challenging but in a rewarding way. He should use his most busted moves. Heat riser, concentrate, Myriad Truths. Over and Over.

I mean, obviously I'm not a game designer, but this is Izanagi. Literally God with a big G we're talking about here. Let's make his right rewarding and as hard as it would be to actually fight him.

And for Minato. He should be the busted one of the two. In my head i have it so that he would have two phases. He's a boy with chronic pain and illness that people underestimate and don't understand, that's his whole thing. I mean, this is the Messiah that saved everyone, you should feel awesome fighting Jesus.

In my mind id have it so that you fight Minato first, and he uses Orpheus throughout the battle. He's pretty easy so you get him out of the way, then Yu unlocks, and he's much more difficult. After you defeat him though, your final fight unlocks. You think it's someone different but it's actually Minato again. Boom, Thanatos and Messiah time.

This is obviously wishful thinking, it wouldnt have to be exactly like that, but it would be awesome. Just make it feel like you're actually fighting the World and the Universe and we'd be alright.

Personally I don't blame other players who don't know, but some players have a very "well I got my platinum points and want to speedrun this so fuck you" attitude and just nuke everything they can as fast as they can. Like maybe if you wanna speedrun then you should have a speedrun group? Or maybe bungie could add a "speedrun" option to all PvE matchmaking content so that they speedies can leave the rest of us alone?

Literally this. I am completely fine with people who don't know and I'll just wait for the next strike.

But speedrunners are genuinely the most obnoxious people in the world. Do it on your own time. And it's worse for GG because people want to farm medals and points! They can literally load into the GG Nightfall solo! Or just go to LFG! I absolutely detest any sort of speedrunning in matchmade content. This is exceptionally bad in regular strikes that frequently have brand new players who are playing this for the first time and are already confused enough and then some speedrunner skips the entire strike and keeps pulling them through loading zones. Bro do that on your own. Genuinely the one thing that pisses me off the most.

I'm glad they enjoy speedrunning things, but that's something you have to do on your own and with your own group, not with random strangers in matchmaking.

tbh seeing alyssa thompson and savannah demelo was WILD for me, but that's because I haven't really been able to keep up with the nwsl as much as I would like so they kinda threw me for a loop

ok but let me talk about how happy I was to see GIRMA, ERTZ, SONNETT, KELLEY, K MEW, AND EMILY FOX

and I am so damn proud of naomi girma, like she has had such an impact on this team and I'm so glad that we have her now that captain becky isn't there (still not over it)

HOWEVER, I do have some.... let's call them.... idk's -> alana cook has just not left me with the best impression, I think she's slow on defense and isn't very aggressive with the ball, she has very rare good moments. sof huerta has just had a very meh performance for the uswnt IN MY OPINION I don't think she's very consistent. alyssa thompson I think is just too young, not to say that she couldn't completely kill it, but I just don't know if she can perform on the world's biggest stage, cause that's totally different than an nwsl game. sanchez and rodman for me have just not shown their true potential on the uswnt, like I'm still waiting for them to really show up, maybe with the cup on the line they will.

all in all, I think this is a very solid roster. obviously, we are missing some key players due to injury (press, heath, becky, sammy, mal just to name a few) and I would love nothing more than for them to be there, BUT I think these are the best 23 players we have right now. we are gonna have a kick ass starting 11 XI and some killer subs.
