lost and lost

                        cherry was someone who was very sure about the idol path, yet she wasn’t. it wasn’t long ago cherry made it into legacy, and it actually wasn’t that long that she had been interested in singing and rapping. and truly it wasn’t that long she had considered becoming an idol, so the whole idea of songwriting and composing, it wasn’t something that had hit her mind yet. however cherry, as the girl she was, she was up for any and every challenge, immediately sure when she heard about this that it was worth giving her best in. yet, cherry who didn’t lack confidence in anything at all, she was unsure of what she was doing currently. cherry was set on doing good in this, but even if she imagined herself as the best songwriter and composer, that just wasn’t the truth (yet). so cherry, the social butterfly decided on, why not ask someone else for help?

cherry looked around, who was to become her target? cherry spotted someone, and soon enough she had decided this was who was going to help her with this songwriting thing. cherry jumped, light jumps in the direction of the other, her blonde hair jumping with her, and a big smile planted on her lips. “hello” big eyes as she sits down next to the other, she takes a pen and paper up. “do you know how to write song lyrics? i think i’m completely lost”.

it isn’t until they’re back in the privacy of their dorm room that yuseong rounds on nicky. the horror has been building and as much as nicky might seem to hate him now, yuseong still cares for the other. 

“what in the world were you thinking?” he whispers urgently to his roommate, careful not to raise his voice too much. they still have a manager in the dorm, after all, and after the whole incident with yuan and aiden, yuseong has been more cautious, more careful to never present a bad side. it’s part of acting, isn’t it? 

swallowing the things they’re not happy with and pretending that everything is okay. isn’t that just another form of acting? the fact that nicky had spoken up so aggressively, so rebelliously, against heo aecha, in front of everyone — if yuseong’s being honest, it’s even more concerning. 

“in front of everyone?” his voice is equally full of disbelief and concern for his childhood friend.

frankly, nicky isn’t the biggest fan of this legacy entertainment tradition. he’d much rather keep to himself, keep his head down and pretend not to notice the holiday upon them. but he supposes that he’d only stand out more if he boycotted the event entirely… plus, he has to get rid of these chocolates somehow. the best thing he can do is just hand them all out as quickly as possible.

he tucks the little baggie of sweets into kangmin’s training bag when it’s left unattended. he doesn’t actually know who the bag belongs to, to be honest, he just knows he needs to get rid of the sweets as soon as possible. and the opportunity was there in front of him, so he takes it.

if kangmin thought the last bag he managed to find in his belongings had a very distinct lack of identifying features this one did even less so. seemed more like the work of a guy than the last one had so there was more hope in this one, but kangmin was absolutely certain that if it had been from that guy there would have been some kind of telling feature about it.

oh well. sweets were sweets. in his mind he made sure to thank the unknown person who had taken time out of their day to pass him by and leave the gesture. after all, there was still time he supposed.

     when she gets back from training, she goes through her bag to get rid of anything that needs to be washed, including spare clothes and towels and the water bottle that she always carries. while she’s riffling through the bag, she comes across the bag of chocolate and stares at it for a long moment. there’s no note and no sign of who it was from, but she assumes that someone had just slid it into her bag in a rush. probably during one of the times she had left it unattended. 

     putting the chocolate aside for now, somin finishes gathering everythig that needed to be washed and pops a chocolate into her mouth before heading out to finish cleaning. free chocolate was free chocolate, and she wasn’t going to say no to that!
