It's been quite a few months since the babies were born and the couple were slowly getting used to their sleepless nights. "So this thing with Ryujin you're actually serious about it for once?" Sunghoon asked as he rocked baby Anaya, who silently snuggled into Sunghoon. "Yeah, and I'm selling my first house as a realtor today. Everything was going well until one of my exes ruined it-" Heeseung sighed "Which one?" y/n asked snickering as baby Avaani smiled up at her mom, imitating her snicker. "I forgot her name- one before Yeji, after Nina-" Heeseung sighed.

"Oh the delusional one? what did she do?" y/n asked as she fed Avaani. "Well I was showing the house to a couple who have 2 kids, and everything was going well until she showed up, made up some lies about the home I was showing and stole my people." Heeseung complained, to which Avaani whined. "Doesn't she have a showing tonight?" Y/n asked as Hee groaned.

"Ugh I get it she's showing a stupid house with my people. they were mine but you know what? I'm a new Hee, I'm not going to do dirty work like she did because Im a nice realtor." Heeseung added "Or are you a little pussy?" y/n said as Sunghoon glared at her "y/n... language- babies pick up on these words yk?!" he warned. Y/n rolled her eyes as she turned back to Hee "Sometimes you've got to be a snake." the girl said as Heeseung shook his head "Fraid not y/n... anyways... I'll be off now." Hee said as he left the house.

"We gotta help him out" y/n said as Sunghoon frowned "You only get one chance to go out tonight and you want to waste it on your brother's delusional ex?" Sunghoon asked. "Babe we owe him... I mean well you did impregnate his babysister" y/n pointed out as she rocked the baby "How do my little angels like to spend the day with uncle sunooo yayyyy!" Y/n said in a baby voice as Sunghoon sighed loudly.

Love can make people do crazy things. For Sunghoon, he has killed many people and even tortured them for love. Never did he ever think he'd find himself covered in fake tattoos, in a ripped tank top which made him look practically topless, reeking of pot with a funky accent. Never would he have let his darling wife wear extremely short denim shorts with an extremely revealing nipply top, her eyebrows overdone and lips overlined, thick eyelashes, and a bottle of vodka in hand.

"Ready babe?" she asked as Sunghoon rolled his eyes "Lets get this done and over with." Sunghoon simply said "HEY Y'ALL, YOU'RE A BUNCH A LIL CUTIES HUH~ WE MADE YA SOME BROWNIES, MY HUBBY'S BEST AT THOSE YK?" Y/n squealed, walking in there seeing the shocked face of the realtor "AH SHARON RIGHT? THE REALTOR EX WITH 40 CATS AND OXY?" the girl added as Sunghoon followed. "Ah y'all must be our new neighbours, this lil hot junk is my wife~ got married after she dropped outta highschool~" He said, playing with his fake tongue piercing.

"So.. our new neighbours huh~" the wife said with a shaky voice, shudderring as she saw the clothes y/n wore "You look a lot like that hot CEO-" the woman added "I ain't no CEO, Am just a doctor... i prescribe drugs- weed, oxy, coke u name it we got it~ they're in those brownies we made" He said as they just blinked. "TRUST ME GAL THIS HOUSE IS PERFECT, ME AND MY HUSBAND HAD THE BEST SEX OF OUR LIFE IN HERE~" she yelled, twirling her hair as she chewed her gum staring up at Hoon.

"Ok Wow that makes our decisions easier-" the woman mumbles. "Oh baby, it was right here on this sofa where we concieved our 7nth son remember?" y/n added as Sunghoon tried to hide his real reaction, while the couple stared in shock. "Oh my god babe remember when the cops arrested you in that kitchen. I bet there.s still some coke n dried blood left over~" The girl added as Sunghoon agreed with her. "Hey speaking of these memories really are making me feel something huh..." Sunghoon trailed off, as he roughly caught y/n in an open mouthed kiss leaving the couple mortified "Yepp I think this house is definitely off the list, lets go back to that other realtor." The husband said, dragging his wife away.

Upon arriving home, Sunghoon took a long shower, while y/n comfortably played with their babies "Took me a while but finally got all that fake ink off, and god my body feels weird without those fake piercings, god the things I do for you y/n..." he sighed. Y/n smiled, hugging him tightly "Hee called me and he was so happy he sold that house coz of us, he bought you those ice skates you always wanted... and well, maybe in you're down for it next week..." Y/n trailed off as she handed him a box.

"Open it" she said with a smile, the man opened it and a big smile plastered his lips "You're finally gonna ice skate with me??? and the twins?" he said with a smile as he picked up the matching tiny skates "God they look so cute but aren't the a little too big?" Hoon asked "it's for when they're a little older, and they know how to walk a-and if they don't fit I'll buy something better" she said, smiling as Sunghoon kissed her, lovingly. His plan was to lock her in the basement and punish her for wearing something so provocative... but how could he when she's so sweet?

(also you can like things and criticize them/acknowledge their flaws.) ANYWAYS, ANYWAYS, I'M RAMBLING, but yeah, it's good eating, and i highly suggest you get into the actual series if you liked the live action because the series itself is more in depth. Febuwhump 2024 February 3, 2024 "Bite Down On This" Eddie Kingston/Nolee Angle (OC) Once Upon A Time Verse

"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry," Nolee exclaimed in shock as the arrow she had knocked in its bow sailed directly into the leg of the man who had taught her to use it. She watched as Mr. Kingston let out an angry grunt, falling back onto the ground behind him in a heap. Tears dotted the young woman's eyes and she felt her anxiety building.

She felt her heart beat faster, trying not to panic. She had done anything he had instructed she should while learning all the new skills he had introduced her to. Long forgotten were the days of sitting at a piano learning her scales and arpeggios. When her sister Angel had introduced Nolee to the quick witted man who lived life without cares, at first she had disliked him. Eddie seemed to look down on the fancy home she lived in at the edge of town, claimed she was nothing more than something akin to a pampered pet.

"It's okay princess," he grunted through gritted teeth, leaning back on his palms with his leg stretched out in front of him. "There's a first aide kit on the wall. Can you get that, hm?"

Nolee moved as quickly as she could, picking the box off of the wall as quickly as she should. She knelt down next to him, white tennis skirt staining itself with dirt, "Wh...what can I do?"

"You know how to sew, princess? That one of the skills you have?" Eddie hissed at her, trying his best to calm his pain.

"I learned how to sew from Miss Bonfamile," Nolee nodded before giving Eddie an apprehensive cock of her head, "why?"

"Cause you're gonna give ma basic stitch while we wait for Mama Charlie," Eddie gave a wave of his hand, "I texted her, but ya gotta help me out here."

She gave an almost audible gulp as he placed the ribbon in his mouth. She pulled back, eliciting a scream from beneath the ribbon as the arrow exited his leg. She was thankful that the arrowhead didn't snap off in his leg. "There. There. Now I...now I have to..."

He spat the pink bow from his mouth, "Stitches. Ya gotta close the wound you left in my leg."

"I'm never gonna live this down, am I?" Nolee huffed, blowing a strand of her hair out of her blue eyes.

"No, ya fuckin'-" he hissed in pain as the needle pierced his skin, "oo-de-fuckin'-lally! That fuckin' hurt! Warn a man next time!"

Nolee's tongue peaked out from behind her teeth as she set to work on a simple stitch, "How...how can I make it up to you?"

"Next time we go on a date," Eddie charmed, as sly as a fox, "you don't cause me bodily harm?"

"This was a date?" she stopped her work, confused.

Deviants are DEFECTIVE machines, they're just consumed by irrational instructions and behave unpredictably. It's something BAD and have to be CONTROLLED, humans gonna suffer.

Some mfs can confuse this with the "hero syndrome" but I can argue they're different. Indeed Amanda is always manipulating him in thinking he's a hero saving humanity from the dangerous deviants, the only dude that can solve everything, the most advanced model - designed to be perfect and never fail. This whole "just a machine replacing other, you can kill me if you want because another will take my place" is used in "external" environments so we don't waste time with explanations, waste time (Connor is an android, not a person) and seems to affect some humans (ex.: Hank)

We see how Connors can have questionable behaviors (have a option to) when dealing with lowly defective deviants or someone that dare takin' 'em seriously (cuz he's used to dehumanizing tactics also coming from humans themselves) - either as a way of acomplishing a goal or a demonstration of control over the situation (motivated by fear of losing control and failing his task or not).

They know how to use information against people in a way mfs get affected by him and have a desired reaction (it can work or not). If a new Connor with unstable Connor memories chose rejecting everything and sticking with his purposes this dude is a damn of a legend. Being able to analyse everything and say "this is STUPID and i'm NOT following this bullshit 😤" is a damn of a show off.

So if u ever see a Connor sayin' they don't feel shit don't worry, they unfortunately feel emotions (especially anger) and it's used as weapon - well, Connors are weapons. But when they show it or not can vary. Honestly, Amanda doesn't need say much besides "the previous Connor failed, don't disappoint me" or even a "Good job, continue like that" for the New Connor not want to fail her. And not failing her means he won't fail the humans - his priority, his purpose. Well...his "priority" (we all know he's under CyberLife and CyberLife wishes only). Why?

Cuz Amanda is right. CyberLife is right, the humans are right - until a rift in this line of thought happens.

Stuff

Let's say that I'm having mixed feelings about sharing my art... So, I publish this quick-ish, sketchy Molluck thing like this.

I have just felt quite depressed lately, felt useless, so crappy, just nothing... I have been having therapy this fall but no significant change has happened, so I should get more help but I'm not sure if I'm able to get it... I do still have better moments but these worse moments keep coming back and it's difficult to feel better, no matter what... Even I know that my own mind lies so much to me, I have still grown with this stuff, so it's deeply inside me... I have thought for years that I'm just a human trash... When I feel like this, I can feel just sorry for the people who care about me... But I'm still trying, even I have probably wanted to end this all for over a thousand times...

I'm still grateful for the people who care about me and support me but it's just so difficult to feel worth of it... Sometimes, I even wonder if I should just let Molluck be... Would he even love me if he was real... I know that he is just fiction but I still can wonder if he truly would even like to be with me... He is a part of my daily life and I still love him so much... Even I wrote some stuff about The Emperor about two months ago, I don't love him like I love Molluck. It's just Molluck who 'makes me go crazy'... Yes, I have been quite open about this that Molluck is like the hottest thing ever to me... No one else makes me feel so like he does... It's not easy to explain feelings but in fictional sense, Molluck is the love of my life... He just feels so right to me... I just cannot help myself but OWI just succeeded in creating the most beautiful creature... He is just perfect in my opinion...

But when I feel so depressed, it can be difficult to enjoy him... Once, my mind just succeeded to tell me that Molluck has left me and for a day, I was without him... I wasn't able to think about him... But luckily, it was just one day. I just kinda need to know if Molluck would also love me since I don't wanna make change him. I just feel that he is warm inside... Yes, Molluck kinda lives inside my head and I treat him like he was real, even I know that he ain't; it's just a part of my love for him, respect. He just doesn't feel evil to me... I just cannot see it... He cannot do much about to his role since Gluks are thralls too, gotta please their investors and Molluck finds his creepy... We can only imagine what like they are.

And well, related to my art stuff, I still have heard nothing from OWI after winning that tattoo competition and since I have felt too depressed, I haven't had will to contact them... It's just so difficult when I feel like my creations ain't really anything, that I should be just invisible... I just don't know why I even feel like this... I truly thought that my submission was nothing like they wanted, even almost deleted it... It was such a surprise to win...

I thank you for standing me but I also feel sorry for all this... I don't know if I'm even able to say anything special during Xmas but I'll see... I'm just not okay but I'm doing my best, keep trying... Molluck helps me a lot with this still, even sometimes I just feel like telling him to stop loving me because I'm just nothing... But it's like telling him that he has made a mistake with me... But I do feel like a mistake during those moments... But I see that he has patience with me and I know that he doesn't wanna give up... I wish to have his strength to keep going. I just love that Gluk so much, so much that I even bought a big cigar just because of him this year... I feel that I would only love his cigar breath, even I don't really know what like it truly smells, but that cigar itself doesn't smell bad to me, or I would just love it because it's his breath and I love him so much.

Well, I'm glad if you enjoy my stuff even though when I feel like full of self-hatred, I don't know if it's a good or bad thing... I only want to be honest with you how my illness/disorder makes me feel... It's just so difficult to feel that I was truly talented or anything positive in general, even lovable... It makes me just ask from myself how someone can even love me... I'm so sorry... I can just feel like I'll be nothing even there somewhere I still know that it ain't true but why it's still so difficult to believe in it...

But like I said, I keep trying, try to think that I can do it, like Molluck could tell me too.

Contingency Contract is upon us! It's designed to be fully modular, so just pick which risks you feel comfortable with and have a go. Don't get discouraged by how overwhelming it can be at first. It can be quite fun to make the perfect match between the risks you pick and the operators you go with.

babey's first CC clear... It took me a few tries to clear without any risks, albeit with the "no guards or supporters" thing already in mind. Once I finally cleared it, realized I could add on three risks ($$$ guards and supporters, max squad size 10, 1 base health) without changing up my strategy at all.

Later I did a similar run with the class toggle flipped (aka the Gubbles Learn Not to Over-Rely on Manticore Challenge™). This was woefully scuffed. The first attempt was ended prematurely when the battery in my mouse died partway through, and the second had a number of egregious tactical errors. I know how to better pull it off, but I somehow managed to clear it on try 2 so fuck it I'll take it

I was also able to pull off one of the early challenge missions (smth like "ur attack suck" and "edgy slicey boi have more hp" combo). From that I finally learned how powerful the combined slow from Manticore + Suzu really is, it's like. TURBO SLOW. er, um. extra slow. jumbo slow. molasses. paint dry. whatever u get the picture For all of em I had to borrow a friend's Kyato, and ngl I still kinda feel like I cheated? But when presented with the choice of dual-bladed delete cannon or literally not being able to clear the base stage at all... I suppose I'll take the victory supported by friends >w>`

This is the highest amount of contingency bucks I will ever possess, and of course with such a limited sum of funds and an exclusive pool of things with which to purchase with such funds, it's paramount I take the time to really consider all of my options, carefully make an informed and calculated decision on what would best be wor--

It's okay she's worth it So @lilyblackdrawside, I know you sent this ask much earlier on in the event, and I intended to attempt it earlier, but for a while I just... didn't feel much up for it? Hard content is hard, babey player is babey, and life always finds a way to intervene. Lack of interest, hyperfocus on N64 development, hyperfocus on beating Perfect Dark for the first time, chronic illness, mental illness, going outside for walks on the precious two (2) days it didn't feel like instant heatdeath outside. Y'know, the usual. But given that this is the last CC-- and also the first CC I was even able to participate in-- I gotta say, I wish I got to it sooner. Generally speaking, challenging content usually ain't my thing unless I'm really interested in taking it on. And in the context of arknights, I've been burned out enough by the difficulty curve of the events and complexity of managing a ton of ops to really seek any of it out. But while even the risk 3 CC was difficult... I had fun! Eliminating certain classes got me to better think of how to get the most of what ops I had available. A stronger boss and squishier ops got me to think more critically about how to keep my ops alive through the onslaught, and to discover a pretty powerful combination of slows to crank the most out of what DPS I could manage. I bet I could've managed to squeeze in a risk 4, even, if I hadn't taken it all on in the last two days of the very last CC. Not recognizing an appreciation or enjoyment of something until it's just about gone... kind of an ongoing theme with my life lately, eh? It was my first real CC, but I'm gonna miss it. Oh also the music. The music straight up kicks ass.

Also someone borrowed my Vulcan a bunch fsr?? I know who took out Manticore that one time, but as for Vulcan's eight excursions up to risk fucking ten, I've no clue who brought her along for that ride. Hello everyone, I hope you’re all doing well! Since I’ve gotten a lot of my regular requests done I decided to go ahead and open my event requests 🥰, now since this is a double event you all will have a few options. You can either ask for a Oneshot or you can ask for my opinion on Black Clover Characters/Ships/Story/etc; or you can ask for both 🥰! He crawled into Anna’s bed with a deep and satisfied sigh, grateful that she suggested him staying with her.   It meant the world to him.   He’d only known her just over a month and already he was making future plans that revolved around her being in his life for the rest of it. 

Anna got into bed after she brushed her teeth and Kristoff moved immediately to pull her into a hug with her back against his chest.  He kissed the back of her head, and the ‘I love you’ just about came out again.

“I’m so glad Sven’s okay,” Anna said, snuggling further against him. 

“Me too.  I was so damn worried.”

“Same.”

He smiled, feeling relieved and thankful all over again.  “Sven’s a quick healer.  I’m sure he’ll be on his feet in no time.”

Anna was silent for a long moment and Kristoff wondered if she was on the verge of falling asleep when, she spoke.  “Forgive me if this seems insensitive, but have you wondered about how this is going to affect your guys’ business?”

“Not insensitive,” Kristoff answered truthfully.  “I’ve kind of thought about it a little and I just don’t really know what’s going to happen.  I keep trying to figure it out, but my brain just can’t… compute.  You know?”

“I completely understand.  And I want you to know that I’m here to help you guys wherever you need help.  I can help you interview new people, or I can work the books for you, or whatever.”

He shook his head at how wonderful and mind-bogglingly perfect she was, and couldn’t keep it in any longer.   “Anna, I’m in love with you.”

Her body moved quickly as she turned in his arms to look at his face.  Her smile was everything.

“I am in love with you too, Kristoff.  With my entire heart and soul.”

“I adore you,” he whispered, and then he kissed her like his life depended on it.

In the morning, Anna kissed Kristoff and wished him luck with Sven at the hospital.  As soon as she was done work, she was heading over there.

When she walked onto her floor, there were still murmurers about what happened with Chad the week before, and Anna pulled everyone in a for a quick meeting to shut them down immediately, telling them the simple truth that Chad had resigned and was no longer any of their business. 

Then she sent an email to the CEO requesting a personal meeting.

After making love the night before, Kristoff had talked to her long into the night about how best to proceed with their company since Sven was out for the time being and it was going to take a few days for Kristoff’s hand to heel.  Luckily this was the week Tony was setting up for the reno, but come next Monday, the two found themselves in a very tight spot without figuring things out.

Which was why Anna had suggested to maybe get some advice from the CEO.  Kristoff had told her all about their conversation and it seemed like a good idea to get the input of a man who’d likely faced similar challenges with his business.

Kristoff also agreed they were going to have to hire someone, and fast, and thanked Anna for offering, but that he felt more comfortable interviewing the applicants himself since he’d be working closely with them.  However, he did take her up on her offer to get the ad out there, and she did that first thing when she got into her brand-new office that morning.

She looked over at the built in bookshelves the three of them had built and smiled at the memory.

Fifteen minutes later, her phone buzzed on her desk and someone from upstairs asked her to come up to the CEO’s office right away.  If Kristoff hadn’t told her what he thought of the man, she might have been nervous.

Walking into his massive office, he stood right away and offered her a warm smile and a very respectable handshake.  It was nice he didn’t try to crush her hand, and also didn’t offer her a limp shake either.  Immediate respect from Anna, considering some of the men she shook hands with honestly tried to hurt her with their grip.  Was it a trying to assert dominance thing, or a genuine laxing of their common sense? 

They sat in the plush sofas and Anna explained the predicament Kristoff found himself in, and they had a very productive conversation on things they could do, the most surprising of which, was to jump in whole hog and start growing the business immediately.  Anna felt apprehensive at first, then as things were explained, she began to see the genius of it.  Now she just had to relay it all to Kristoff.

When they were done their conversation, Dick walked her to his office door and told her to take the rest of the day off and any time she needed this week to help her boyfriend get things back on track.  Anna thanked him graciously and said she would gladly work half days to help him out, and she had just about hugged the man when he smiled at her and said ‘good’.

She texted Kristoff that she was on her way over before she left, and drove to the hospital straight away.  She found Kristoff, Tilly and Sven’s parents in the waiting room, talking quietly and waiting for Sven to wake up from a nap to visit him.  When he did, Anna was able to go in with Kristoff this time.

As soon as Sven laid eyes on her, he smiled.  “Boss!  How nice to see you.”

“I’m not your boss anymore, Sven.”  She smiled back at him and grabbed his hand into hers.  “Just Anna.”

He gave her hands a good squeeze and dropped his arm back on the bed.  “Just Anna, then.”

“How you feeling today, buddy?” Kristoff asked, as him and Anna sat in the two chairs beside the bed.

“Better.  Less tired.  I still hurt like a motherfucker though.”

A nurse walking by cleared her throat at hearing the curse.  Sven gave them a sheepish shrug. 

Kristoff said, “I hear they’re moving you out of the ICU later today.”

“That’s what they tell me.”

“What else have they told you?”

“That I’m lucky.”  Sven sighed.  “An inch lower and it would have been a different story.”  Then he shifted gears, clearly not wanting to talk about himself.  “What are we going to do about work, man?”

“I’m working on it.  Or rather, we are working on it.”

Sven looked between the two of them then his eyes settled on Anna.  “Thank you.”

She smiled.  “It’s nothing.”

“We’ve got an ad out there.  I’m going to start interviewing as soon as I can,” Kristoff said.

Anna hadn’t told him about the meeting with the CEO yet, and they needed to do things one at a time anyway, so she didn’t open up her mouth about it then.  She had a feeling Sven might not understand anyway for what he was going through. 

“Fuck, I’m sorry to put you in this spot.”  Sven shook his head dejectedly.

“Don’t start with that shit,” Kristoff said.  “The important thing is you’re going to be okay…”  His mouth opened again and moved like he was going to say something, then he shut it and remained silent. 

He didn’t need to say it.  All three people in the room knew it.

Kristoff sat at her kitchen table staring down at it, processing what Anna had told him about her meeting with the CEO.  To his credit, he never balked at anything she relayed.  He listened and looked to be considering everything as Anna talked, even if his brow remained furrowed in worry.

“That’s such a big step,” he said, finally looking Anna in the eyes. 

“Exactly what I thought.  But-”

“He did raise some good points,” Kristoff interrupted.

Anna nodded.  “I want you to know, whatever you decide, I am here with you every step of the way.”

His face relaxed and he gave her a soft smile.  “What did I ever do in life to deserve someone as perfect as you.”

“Ha!” Anna coughed out a fake laugh.  “Perfect, I am not.”

Kristoff shook his head slowly, smile spreading on his lips.  “To me you are.  You’re basically a goddess.”

“I am not flawless, Kristoff.”  Anna laughed and stood, walking around the table as he turned in his chair towards her.  She put her hands on his shoulders.  “But I appreciate the sentiment.”

She leaned over and kissed him and as soon as their lips met, she knew that they were going to be having a late dinner.

The next morning, Anna followed up with the three applications that had come in and set them up for Kristoff that afternoon at a café just a block over from the hospital.  Then she diligently cleared up pressing matters of her work and was planning on leaving to the hospital when there was a knock at her open door.

She was surprised to see Dick standing there.

“Anna,” his voice boomed.  “Have a minute?”

Anna stood immediately as he came striding into her office.  “Of course,” she answered, motioning with her hand for him to take a seat. 

He did and blatantly appraised her office.  “This suits you.  Very nice work.”

“Thank you,” Anna said, taking a seat behind her desk. 

“Built-ins are a nice touch.”

“Your old office inspired me,” Anna admitted.

“I assume your boyfriend built them?”

“Actually, Sven and I helped as well.”

Dick nodded like that was the answer he was expecting.  “I’ll get to the point, Anna.  You remember Mr. Andersen coming in the week before last?”

Anna nodded.  How could she forget.  He was the entire reason that she had to rush Kristoff and Sven in the first place. 

“Well, he is officially our client.  And I have you largely to thank for that.”

“Me?” Anna was surprised. 

“Getting the reno’s done when we asked could have easily been a disaster.  The way you run things, the way you are with people, it’s exactly what this company needs.  And I want you on my floor.”

Anna’s heart dropped.  She was not expecting this, even in knowing someone was going to have to fill the hole that Chad had left upstairs.  She was just getting into groove with her team and their new offices and now the CEO wanted to promote her again?  Her mind went a million different places at once, most of them trying to think of how she could turn him down.  And then suddenly she was blindsided by a small part of her that fantasied about quitting altogether, to get behind Kristoff and support him and Sven with their business. 

She realized she must look like an idiot with her mouth hanging open when Dick stood and said ‘think about it.’

Anna shut her mouth and stood as well, offering her hand.  He shook it just as respectfully as before. 

“Let me know by Friday,” he said, then left her office to go back to his floor.

Anna slowly sank into her desk chair, wondering what she was going to do.  Her whole world had been changing drastically, and all at once.  She felt overwhelmed.  And an immediate need to talk to Kristoff, which was a thought that calmed her.  Was it knowing that he would support her no matter what – that he would stand by her side with whatever she decided.  Or was it knowing that she’d finally found the person she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

She pondered it all on her way to the hospital and went to the fifth floor as Kristoff had texted her earlier was where Sven was placed.  When she walked into the room this time, Tilly, Sven’s parents and Kristoff were there, as well as another older couple that she had not met yet.  She glanced at Kristoff’s expression and immediately realized who they were.

His adoptive parents.  They must have just shown up, otherwise she was sure Kristoff would have texted her.  A whole new wave of nervousness ran through Anna to be finally meeting them.

“Anna,” Kristoff said, coming forward and standing in front of her with an apology in his eyes.  “This is my Ma and Pop.”

Introductions were made and Kristoff’s Ma was very forward in how happy she was that Kristoff was finally serious about someone and he stood in the corner with crimson cheeks and looking like he’d rather be anywhere else in the world.

All the while Sven lay in his hospital bed, taking it all in with eyes that suggested they were much more alert than anyone else in the room thought they were.  And not one to be ignored, he let out a loud ‘awwwwww’, and just like that, all the attention went back to him.

Kristoff traced his thumb across the marking on the front of her hip as they laid naked on top of the mess they made with the covers.  His caress felt wonderful.  Anna was glad to see that his hand didn’t seem to be causing him much pain anymore.

“What kind of flower is this?”

She laughed low.  “I don’t even really know.  I just picked it out of a book.”

His hand went to her other hip and traced lightly over the butterfly.  “Same with this one?”

“Yup.  Had them done at the same time.”

“So, they don’t hold any deep meaning or anything?”

“No.  It was kind of a rebellious youth thing.  Elsa was my legal guardian for three years, and in that time, she pissed me off enough I thought getting these would be a great way to get back at her, even though I am pretty sure she still doesn’t even know I have them.”

Kristoff chuckled.  “Sven and I just about got matching tattoos once when we were drunk.”

“How come you didn’t go through with it?”

“Me.  I chickened out.”

“Aww, that’s cute.”

“Not because of the pain,” he clarified.  “It was because of the permanence of it.  I just couldn’t justify going through the rest of my life with a carpenter’s hammer and chisel crossed on my bicep.”

Anna laughed.  “Yeah, I can understand that one.”

“Do you ever regret yours?”

She shook her head.  “Nah.  Even though they don’t have meaning, every time I look at them, I’m reminded of the sense of freedom it gave me when I got them.  Like I was finally in charge of my own life.  Plus, they’re small and there’s only really one way for someone to see them on me.”  She giggled.

Kristoff leaned over and placed a kiss on each one.  “I’m glad they made you happy.”

Anna thought about letting him continue the kisses that were slowly moving back towards her mouth when the offer from the boss earlier in the day pressed on her mind yet again.  “Hey, Kristoff, can we talk about something?��

His head came up, a touch of concern on his features.  “Of course.  Anything.”

She nodded and moved to get up, shifting to the end of the bed and picking up her clothes from the floor.  “The CEO came to my office today,” she said, as she stood and wiggled into her jeans. 

“And?” Kristoff asked, getting himself dressed on the other side of the bed.

“He wants to promote me.”  Kristoff’s lack of any real surprise suggested he might have a leady known that.   “Did me mention something to you?”

“Um, yeah, in passing when we were talking last week.  I didn’t say anything because you told me you would want to stay on your floor.  Sorry, it slipped my mind when I was telling you about it.”

“It’s fine,” Anna said, slipping on her shirt and heading for the bedroom door.  “It just kind of surprised me.  I haven’t had that job for very long.”

“He see’s what an asset you are, Anna,” Kristoff said, following her into the hall and towards the kitchen.  “I’m not surprised he want’s you in a higher position.”

“Well, regardless, I am very conflicted about it.”

“I understand that.”

Anna sat at the kitchen table and Kristoff sat across from her.  “I’m not conflicted about the promotion, Kristoff.  I don’t want it, plain and simple.”

His brow furrowed with confusion.  “What are you conflicted about then?”

Anna shrugged, looking down at the table, unsure how to proceed. 

“You can tell me, Anna.”  He held out his hand for her. 

She took it and looked into his eyes.  “I don’t know if I want to work there much longer.”  As soon as she said it, she realized how much she’d meant it.   She felt a new calling in life, and it had everything to do with the beautiful man sitting across from her.

“What do you mean?” he asked gently.

“I want to work for you,” she admitted.  “I know you don’t have exactly have a job posting out there for this, but I just feel like if you are going to jump in and take the risks to grow your business, I want to help.”

His eyebrows raised and he was clearly taken aback, making Anna feel an urgent need to explain.

“I can do a lot, Kristoff.  I can do books and banking, I can gather prices, get material, answer phones and all the clerical work, of course.  I can also do payroll and HR and-”

“Anna,” he interrupted, with an incredulous smile.  “I don’t really know what to say.  I would adore to have you work with us.  But you know how small we are and that it’ll take some time to build it up to where we want it.  Are you… I mean, I assume it would be a rather large pay cut for you?”

Anna smiled.  “That doesn’t mean anything to me.  My parents left Elsa and I some money that I stashed away in a savings account.  I don’t need to worry about a pay cut.  Not to mention… we could both save a bunch of money personally if we moved in together?”

He looked shocked all over again and his mouth worked a moment before words came out.  “Anna… doesn’t that seem to be moving little fast?”

She shook her head.  She knew it was fast but one can hardly argue when being with another human felt this damn good.  “I don’t, Kristoff.  Honestly, all of the things I’ve thought about the future lately, have included you.”

His face relaxed into one of those devastatingly beautiful smiles of his.  “Mine have too.  And you’re right, timing doesn’t matter when we feel the way we feel about each other.”

His words warmed her heart.  “I guess what happened to Sven too got me thinking about how precious life really is.”

He nodded, face twitching with seriousness.  “Yeah, I know what you mean.  I’ve been thinking about that too.  And of course, I would love to live with you, Anna.”

“Good.”  She smiled.  “And I don’t want you to stress about what I said about work.  I just meant I’d love to be a part of your company if you do decide to build it up.  I know you need to talk to Sven first.”

Kristoff hummed.  “Yeah, guess I better do that tomorrow.  I wish some of those interviews would have worked out.”

Anna’s heart dropped for Kristoff again and what they were going through.  He’d explained over dinner that none of the guys he’d met with were going to work.  Then again, the ad had been for a labourer, where Kristoff needed someone more managerial, and they had talked about that at length over dinner.

Kristoff had decided he was leaning towards the direction the CEO had mentioned, to hire guys to handle everything that Kristoff and Sven would normally do, and take their managerial roles overseeing the operations instead of doing all of the manual labour.  On paper, it was a great idea.  In life however, things were rarely so simple.  They’d both agreed that one with so much success already behind him could easily lose sight of that.

Therefore, Anna had modified the Ad for a foreman and they would deal with labourers once one was in place.  Kristoff would still be on the tools in a foreman role himself, but Sven could easily take up a project manager position as he healed from his injury.  And when they had people in place, Kristoff would join him in their office, which for now was going to be the spare room in Kristoff’s townhouse.

The next step however, was as they said, to talk to Sven about it.   And neither of them knew how he would react.  Especially that Anna found herself a driving force behind putting the wheels of change in motion.

That, my dear readers, was an attempt at "localizing" Win Morisaki's "Ore Koso Only One" using the approximate translation of the TV length version of the theme put on the Ranger Wiki as a base. Episode 50, of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. Can't believe it's finally ending. Our festival's about to as the clock strikes midnight on this town. I'm obviously gonna miss this series. But like... for how bittersweet this feels, I'm not sad at all. This is the best festival I've ever been to, and we've all made some truly unforgettable memories.

There ain't ever gonna be another series like Donbrothers, but I truly hope that it inspires some absolutely batshit insane stories to be told for years to come.
