Ok so, the main reason this drawing even came to being was only because I was listening to this exact same song on repeat for hours and scrolling through Pinterest until I found a reference I liked and therefore decided that I wanted to draw Tolys and Feliks like this. That’s basically it.

Now you COULD put some symbolism in there that ties back into the lyrics and into the AU itself — that I thought of for like 10 seconds and promptly forgot about. The basic premise is the hetalia characters but in a polish high-school setting bc honestly why not. I like to play with characters like dolls lmao.

But yeah, the first few lines of the song talk about an unhappy breakup, and can you guess what I connected that to??? Why of course — the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth and how it later fell apart blah blah blah. Tying that into the drawing itself you could interpret that as Feliks and Tolys being together for a while and then breaking up. Later on I think they are in like a constant situationship-ish situation that neither of them can really fully navigate or grasp because what the fuck is going on being a teen in a shitty high school is hard okay. They’re still friends and close tho, obviously.

nobody knows why lisa’s tombstone is always spotless. the groundskeepers couldn’t tell you and out of the few people in brookview that do visit her with actual care for who she was outside of the crime spree she was connected to, only taffy seems to notice. it’s meticulously cleaned, in mint condition save for the somewhat-crudely done carving on the base. when she comes back she won’t have lost anything of herself that the fire didn’t take if the creature can help it.

This episode of Are You sure? was the best one, it wasn’t awkward, they had fun and it wasn’t boring. I still think Jimin is kinda just there, not doing anything and not adding anything, so Taehyung appearance was really a blessing not only to them who were missing him but also to us. He’s more used to variety and he got a fun dynamic with both Jungkook and Jimin. Jungkook had more fun too.

It’s been said before and the fact that I’m an Izzy simp aside like having a character who survives the most certain death shit ever (shooting himself in the head at point blank) and literally being nicknamed by another character “indestructible” and then become a symbol of protection for a whole group of people die from a fucking bullet to the side that was established in universe to have no vital organs in order to “atone for his sins” or however you wanna spin it and have him say he wants to go after (see point one) literally trying to kill himself in the show that is literally about growth and betterment of the self in a cruel world that wants you dead and where the main (and mostly queer) characters survive the most batshit insane injuries is like COSMICALLY stupid writing like I don’t even understand how you get there and the fact that it’s supposed to be a kind/ happy/meaningful ending is beyond me

I feel like some of the Annette takes fall into a really weird place where the people critiquing the character’s attitude and choices can’t resonate with the feelings her story evokes and subsequently can’t really understand her actions. While critiquing something doesn’t require that you entirely relate to a character I still think you have to at least know to some degree how an event like fuckin slavery and continued oppression can make a character rash, abrasive, and very no nonsense when it comes to other characters who’ve had the luxury of time and a much greater degree of freedom.

Also it’s only season one (a season which felt pretty rushed) and the other characters from the other castlevania got 3 seasons to develop.

PEOPLE USED TO HATE THEM SO BAD I SAW IT EVERYWHERRE i used to get SO many tags of my art of them like “i hate these guys but nice art” or “I hate these guys but you’re making me warm up to them” AND i saw MANY a youtube comment DEFAMING THEM like there was one calling them self centered and annoying and Just Not Funny. the self centeredness is charming i think. bc again They Think They’re The Main Characters And The Heroes. they thought the lightners were the bad guys and that they allied themselves w queen which was Entirely a misunderstanding and they think you’re lying. they just think that after their fight they Reformed You. and also they don’t give you money like most fights do. the “YOU WON” text is replaced with “BATTLE WON” bc they thought they won. i am mentally shaking them around rn (affectionately). and they do seem to be annoying in-universe if the fun gang Collectively Bsginning To Walk Away when sweet and cap’n started arguing is anything to go by. so while that is founded idk how people didn’t find it charming. idk what to say abt that comment also calling them and Not Funny bc. sorry that’s just a wrong opinion. sorry
