#like obviously it's more impactful if you HAVE seen the full show/most of it- but it's a standalone story.

this is going to be pure word vomit, but wow. okafor being as important to the entire story of the ones who live despite dying in the first episode was insane and incredible writing. the parallel between him and rick coming full circle at the end, with rick remembering the last thing okafor said before dying and not letting beale manipulate him at the echelon meeting. okafor retroactively being revealed to have never "died" as rick never really did, deep down, because he warned rick about the sword. the ONLY time he snapped was when rick insisted he had nothing, because he didn't have nothing. he always kept his wife's sacrifice in mind, just as rick always kept michonne in mind, even after he chose to "die," because he did this not being able to escape, but he could at least still build a better future for michonne and their children. rick switching sides, just like okafor did, and destroying the CRM's army to save everyone else. the story about rick's father and the burning crops...and okafor being someone who was someone who was researching and growing crops, whereas beale was stealing resources from other communities and destroying them. like okafor knew the CRM had to be destroyed so something new could grow, and he genuinely had a plan to do that and saw a future where more could grow, but beale only ever saw destruction in the future and used violence so that his own community could grow. beale telling rick that both the walkers and them are dead, whereas okafor told rick that all people are his people, everyone alive. beale had spies in other communities to help keep him informed and to help destroy those communities, whereas okafor trusted rick and told him the truth plainly, despite this going against beale's aims and potentially endangering his life, and rick finding his strength in trusting michonne, and lack of trust being what undoes thorne and jadis.
i'm just. wow. donald okafor the perfect morally grey character that you are ....

you'd think as someone who's knowingly been a lesbian for over 10 years i would've watched more than like, 4 lesbian movies by now, since there were more than a handful to choose from by that point and waaaaaaaaaaay more now.
and part of me thinks i should make it a new years resolution to watch more sapphic movies to experience the culture tm and feel those feelings.
but i also want to just go rewatch loving annabelle and call it a day.
#txt#like obviously representation was very important to me! and it still is!#but i think bc my baby gay journey began right when we started getting this explosion of rep...#rep almost got tainted for me bc i was on tumblr and it was this whole thing about You Need To Watch This Or You're Homophobic#or nitpicking everything slightly wrong with problematic representation etc and it became more of a chore#i appreciate representation i don't expect most i think. like k0rrasami happening?#instead of getting dragged into the show with the promise of rep it just... unfolded in something i was already interested in#i think representation has sorta unfolded in weird ways as well over the years since it's now profitable to queerbait and that#impacts how enjoyable/well written a thing is - see: why i love 90's subtext most bc of the authenticity of it#and i like to think maybe movies aren't as impacted by that when the focus is actually queer shit vs. shows needing to pull#people in for the long-term but idk. it's genuinely not something i've seen enough queer films to have a good idea of j;lksdkfj#i just want like. fun plots that happen to be gay and i think that desire kinda extinguishes the need to consume every piece#of queer media in existence even though i did very much have that pull at the start naturally#but of course. tumblr kinda ruined that for me at the time so now i'm 10 years in the future chilling surrounded by queer people#not having that sense of feeling alone and needing More#and i think it could be healing to check out those films (as Choice as they may be) but it's not a Need if that makes sense#ohhh and while i do get a hit of meaning from seeing any kind of lesbian rep bc the normalization etc#i just don't rly feel Seen in non age gap stuff? so that limits the amt of films that check all the boxes for me as opposed to#just being a 'normal' lesbian and most films automatically being a full course meal for u#so it almost feels like too much effort aj;lksldkjf#anyway. im grateful we're here now and we have so much i just have a complicated relationship with it all#and i wanna be able to just turn that off and try checking out lesbian films now that we do have so much#bc although i don't Need it necessarily it would be nice to actually explore now that i've ditched some of the toxic tumblr mindsets#(which also i now remember included being called problematic for watching the understandably problematic rep that came years before#which probs also explains why i stayed away so long from the old AND i was too poor/ill to go to theatres for the new)#so uhhh recs welcome? regardless of if there's age gaps or not lmao aj;klsdf#specifically for films not tv shows. ive fought that fight too long.

More Moiraine & Lan (and the Bond) thoughts, because I really just can’t help myself.
Just thinking about how we know every Aes Sedai and Warder share the Bond, but we don’t see any other AS/Warder teams using it as a form of communication NEARLY as much as Moiraine and Lan do.
Like these mofos are having full conversations with head tilts and tiny eyebrow raises and 3 seconds of eye contact from the jump. Sometimes not even looking at each other. And it’s extra great if you’re a show only like me because you only realize it when you go back later after all the stuff with the Bond is explained in 1x04/1x05. Like I remember thinking when I was first watching the pilot ‘wow, these two are really in sync, clearly they’ve known each other a long time,’ but it’s so much more than that obviously.
Now, one easy explanation for this is that we’re just seeing them the most, they’re main characters, and s1 especially does a lot of work hyping up the Bond and how important it is so that we get the full impact of them being cut off later. Makes sense.
But… idk like even Alanna and Ihvon and Maksim, who are actually in a romantic relationship, don’t seem to prefer the Bond as a way to communicate. We even see them have their little diplomatic discussion before Ihvon goes to follow Tomas. It’s an actual conversation. Maksim even prefers the Bond masked, so I guess in that way they kind of have to talk to each other.
Verin and Tomas are pretty quiet in general, but still it’s not emphasized that they use the Bond to communicate that much. Perhaps this is also highlighted by Tomas’s advice to Lan that the Bond isn’t the only common language they share with their Aes Sedai.
Except for Moiraine and Lan, it’s like AT LEAST 80%. It’s the primary way they communicate. Because 1. they’re both so naturally reserved on the outside (but feel very deeply on the inside), and 2. I imagine it comes in handy to be extra good at it when you’re on the road searching for the Dragon Reborn and you don’t want everyone around you to know what you’re about.
Then there’s Stepin’s comment from s1 to Kerene, “Can you imagine their dinners?” Which is funny but also very telling. To all the other Aes Sedai and Warders, Moiraine and Lan seem pretty cold and distant, to everyone else and each other. But again, that’s by design to protect their mission. They’re just having conversations no one else can see, even other Bonded pairs. It’s like most AS and their Warders use the Bond as insurance, a fail safe even, to understand and communicate with each other, with normal human communication (i.e. TALKING) as the primary method. But for Moiraine and Lan it’s the other way around.
My POINT BEING, that this adds weight to their storyline in S2. Like they are REALLY struggling because on top of everything else, this fundamental piece of their relationship and communication is just gone. And it opens a door for Moiraine to push Lan away, when she NEVER would have been able to before, practically or emotionally. And he reels from her attacks because he’s just not as good at understanding her without the Bond, when he would have seen right through that shit before, just from feeling alone. So Tomas can say to him, you need to really listen, but 20 years of shared emotional mind reading is not that easy to bypass. You don’t learn normal person communication skills overnight. Certainly not when there’s this gaping hole in your head/heart where another person you probably knew better than yourself should be but isn’t.
Anyway, I think it just adds even more credence to why they’re both so lost throughout most of S2, especially Lan. And what makes them so badass with the Bond but so absolutely uncoordinated without it. And why every other Aes Sedai/Warder thinks they’re fuckin weird. And why we love them, because who doesn’t want to be so fundamentally understood like that? Who doesn’t want their own secret language with someone that no one else really gets, but that person gets you on a level so real it can’t be replaced? That’s what we’re all reaching for, and that’s what they have with each other. For better or worse.

Can we talk about how badly Rick nerfed Jason when he broke IVLIVS at the end of the book it was introduced in? And by nerfed I don't mean the destruction of it held him back in terms of power in any way, I mean in terms of the narrative and particularly his ability to stand against/alongside Percy.
Percy already had five books of context, backstory and time for the reader to get attached so Jason had to do a lot of heavy lifting to not get completely overshadowed but at every opportunity Rick had to let Jason have something to puff him up, it fell flat. Percy had a cool transforming weapon so Rick gave Jason one but then destroyed it in the first book of the series. It reminds me of Rick giving Jason a flying horse in the form of Tempest so he would have his own Blackjack but then Tempest hardly showed up and didn't have a fraction of the established bond that Percy had with Blackjack (also Tempest definitely should have been a giant eagle especially since it was established that Venti can appear as giant eagles).
The worst part about it is that IVLIVS could have been so cool! First of all, ranged weapons are incredibly underused in Rick's books. Clarisse had her electric spear that was relevant for one book but everyone else just has swords or knives, occasionally bows and arrows. It's especially annoying because in most historical military units, Roman and Greek ones included, swords and knives were mostly kept on person as a last resort. In an ideal fight, they never would have been removed from the sheath. The spears should have been enough and most of the time, they were enough. Jason being a Roman demigod could have made him using a spear much more impactful because it would have emphasised the strict and regimented approach the Romans have towards fighting. It would have contrasted with the way the Greeks fight. Since Rick already had the whole arc of Jason deciding he's as Greek as he is Roman, it would have made the whole thing about IVLIVS being both a spear and a sword may more narratively important. The spear represents his Roman side and the sword represents his Greek side.
Second of all, the functionality of it could have been very well-utilised. It's a coin toss. It's inherently random. It would have been cool to see Jason in a fight where he wanted to use one weapon but the coin gave him the other and we would have seen him improvise on the fly, showcasing his years of military experience and the skills that made him a praetor to adapt an ill-suited weapon for the situation and use it effectively because he knows these weapons very well and knows how to use them even in unfavourable contexts. Or you could have it the other way. He wants weapon A, gets weapon B which is much worse for the fight he's in and does poorly, extra points if it draws attention to the Greek/Roman debate he's having. Maybe he wants to use a spear when he's fighting the ghosts at the start of BOO but gets a sword and because of this, gets stabbed by the ghost guy who emphasises how Roman he is. Jason internalises his failure to be Greek (failure to use his Greek sword and fighting style to protect himself against the Romans) and how it caused him to be in danger of 'dying like a Roman' but does character development stuff and heals his wound with the power of believing in himself and realising he can be both Greek and Roman (*cough cough* because I'm a bi!Jason truther his dual identity could have been a great metaphor and parallel to his sexuality *cough cough*).
Lastly, it would have given him something interesting to help him stand out in a cast full of interesting characters with their own 'flair' to make them memorable. Percy obviously has Riptide, Annabeth had Luke's old knife (which she should have gotten to keep), Piper had Katoptris and later on the Boread's sword (which she should have gotten to use more), Frank was the only significant character with a bow and arrow, Leo had his magic toolbelt and Hazel had her spatha (but should have gotten to use it while on Arion a lot more, it's a cavalry sword). And Jason had a sword. Just a regular ass sword. Even Nico's sword had some intrigue because it was made of Stygian iron and it has its kopis shape (idk if that's canon or fanon because it's shaped like that in virtually all fanart of him but I can't remember it being described like that in the books. I could be misremembering this but I have no idea where that idea came from). Jason's already at a huge disadvantage and loads of readers (particularly when the hoo books were being released) just saw Jason as boring and unnecessary.

Dear Mr Neil Gaiman,
This is less of a question, and more of a thank you letter.
I read Good Omens for the first time when I was 16 year old autistic kid who didn’t understand who she was. Now I’m a slightly larger kid at 19 who still doesn’t understand, but is getting there.
As a young autistic person, everything in the world seems like it’s designed against you. School, work, social life, are all made harder—not because of my autism—but because of the environment that has been tailored to neurotypical people. It doesn’t help that there is so much blatant hatred for autistic people online, and I’ve found even making a comment mentioning I’m autistic almost always receives some sort of backlash.
This ends up feeling isolated and lonely most of the time. A lot of the time, I still feel that way. I spent my otherwise privileged childhood full to the brim with depression, anxiety, confusion, and desperation to understand others.
When I read Good Omens, I saw myself for one of the very few times I’ve ever really seen myself in anything. To me, Crowley and Aziraphale represented a dilemma I was familiar with—just not fitting in where they’re supposed to.
But Good Omens has a happy ending (at least…the book. And the show thus far) and that part made it that much more meaningful to me. To me, Good Omens is about everything from the nature of humanity to the power of creativity and love. But it was also about a bunch of weirdos, none of them nearly fitting the bill for normal, all ending up working together and even becoming friends.
And then I saw what happened when the show premiered.
Other people obviously loved the characters, and have since the book came out, but when the show came out and I was reminded of that—I felt a little less lonely. No one found their oddities anything but charming, or at least dimensional, it seemed. I was also brought into a community which is very accepting and largely neurodivergent in and of itself.
I still reread Good Omens when the real world is too much. Right now, I’m in the trunk of my car, and the world is too much. I’m about to turn on my Good Omens audiobook, but I thought before I did, I’d say thanks. ln a single book you co-wrote, you impacted my life for the better, and continue to during these times.
So thank you.
I'm so glad it helped.

@auditect
You seem like you're being genuine about this and asking this in good faith, so I'm going to say this as respectfully as I possibly can: no, she's not.
When thinking about what's canon and what's not, there are 2 things to consider. One is, was it explicitly said or shown in the canon material (in this case, Rebels)? For example, did you hear anyone CALL Ahsoka a Gray Jedi, or discuss Gray Jedi and then have Ahsoka pretty clearly get associated with said concept? Two is, have you ever heard the main creator of a canon material explicitly state somewhere that Ahsoka is intended to be understood as a Gray Jedi by the audience? In this case that would probably be Filoni, but you can probably count the other writers and even Lucas in this category.
The answer to all of those questions is no. At no point has the concept of Gray Jedi ever been brought up in a high canon piece of media in Star Wars (in case high canon is a new term for you, this includes all of the movies, TCW, Rebels, and the Disney+ shows like The Mandalorian, TBOBF, TBB, etc.). Gray Jedi are FANON because they only exist in a piece of extended universe Star Wars media which, in many ways, works as basically official fanfiction. Nobody working on the more "high media" stuff is ever obligated to keep extended universe stories in mind and adhere to their continuity, but the people working on extended universe stories have to adhere to high canon continuity as best they can.
Obviously there are things that have been brought from extended universe into high canon, but Gray Jedi simply aren't one of them. And, in my own opinion, this is because the entire concept makes no sense with the actual worldbuilding of high canon Star Wars. As much as Filoni shits on the Jedi, he does generally seem to understand Lucas's worldbuilding which makes the fanon concept of Gray Jedi literally impossible. Using a little dark side without it having an impact on you isn't possible. That's not how the Force works, as the saying goes.
So no, Ahsoka's not a gray Jedi in Rebels. She's a former Jedi who happens to keep using her training and her lightsabers to help people in the Rebellion. Even in the trailers for the new Ahsoka show, the tagline says "rebel, outcast, JEDI." There's nothing in there about being gray, there's no acknowledgment of Gray Jedi as a thing. Ahsoka is someone who was once a Jedi and will likely end up a Jedi again by the end of her show because that's the journey we've sort-of seen her going on throughout the different things she's been in.
In Rebels, we see Ahsoka actively working with other Jedi (Kanan and Ezra) to continue work that the Jedi Order had started, we see Ahsoka specifically come along on missions that are Jedi specific problems. She says she's not a Jedi, yes, but in her time, being a Jedi meant something very specific, you couldn't just identify as a Jedi if you weren't someone who was adopted into the Order officially. Ahsoka was expelled and then refused to come back, so she's no longer an official member of the Jedi Order and can no longer take on the title of Jedi. And then the Order is destroyed, so all roads for officially rejoining the Order are now closed to her effectively forever. And this leaves her with trying to figure out what being a Jedi means to her in the wake of that destruction, how can she re-identify as a Jedi without an Order to be a part of, does she even have the right to do so when she hadn't been a Jedi when the Order was destroyed? We've seen characters like Kanan and Cal go through similar arcs and both of them became full Jedi by the end of them. There's no real reason Ahsoka won't do the same given that it's the most obvious place for her to go.
Now, none of that means that if you like the fanon concept of Gray Jedi that you can't just headcanon Ahsoka as a Gray Jedi after she leaves the Order. More power to you! But just because it's a headcanon you like doesn't make it canon. Until it's made explicit via dialogue or something similar in high canon, or at the very least said in an interview by one of the creators, it's NOT CANON.

Okay so, I made a thread about this over on twitter, and thought I'd drop it here too. OFMD Season 2 spoilers ahead. An idea that I've seen a few times and felt I needed to yell about is the idea that OFMD is now ableist, and that it is wrong to like and enjoy it as a show. As a queer disabled person, it's something that pisses me off so, so much. I'm not going to defend everything that happens in OFMD. But I am going to say that it is one of the best shows I know for showing both a broad range of disabilities, and presenting those disabilities in a largely neutral light. We have multiple amputees, multiple people with chronic pain , multiple characters with mental health issues, and more. We have Pete's speech impediment, Wee John's back, Lucius' finger, Jackie's hand, Ed's mental health, Stede's mental health - and yeah, Izzy's leg. The way that these disabilites are presented is important to me - because they're just another part of the person, not good or bad. There are obviously impacts and things to work through - Ed's mental health being one, Izzy's leg being another - but they ARE worked through. Ed's suicidality - which spans over two entire seasons - is addressed. So is the moments of Izzy's. Izzy gets support and a prosthetic, Lucius gets support and a prosthetic, we see Wee John sitting down in most scenes which would support his back. Disability isn't just ignored, or played off for laughs, but neither is it made the entire plot point. Izzy is just as much of a badass as before. Lucius' finger doesn't stop his work. Jackie's hand doesn't make her less fearsome. Ed's mental health (and Izzy's, and Stede's) don't make them less deserving of love. None of the character's disabilities do. In fact, we see two disabled characters - Lucius and Pete - getting married at the end of the season. And that's important. It's so important!!
If you're sad and upset that Izzy died, that's incredibly valid. But to say that it "shows that disabled characters have nothing to live for" - when his death wasn't related to his disability at all - is so incredibly offensive. I am permanently disabled, to the point that I cannot work full time. I have seen posts about my disability saying that it would be better to die than to have it. But nothing - NOTHING - in OFMD suggests that it would've been better for Izzy to die than to have an amputation. Instead he is supported, encouraged, and loved. He is given a carefully crafted prosthetic, and given space to learn how to use it. He gets support, and his mental health improves. He is given a beautiful life. And then he dies. But his death is not about his disability. I'm going to repeat that - his death is NOT about his disability. Nor is it about being queer. It's shitty, random luck. I'm sure there are people who are going to say that the writers, simply by having a disabled queer character die, are ableist and queerphobic. But nothing we see in the show supports that. They show queer joy and delight and love and happy endings over and over again. They show care and support of disabilities, over and over again. And they specifically show queer disabled people living beautiful lives, over and over again. One character's death doesn't undo that. I'm sorry that your favourite character died. I really, truly am. It's a devastating feeling. I'm sorry that it hurts. But if you're taking it as a sign that the show is saying queer disabled people have no right to live? Then you're ignoring the rest of the show.
You're ignoring all the beautiful queer disabled characters we see, and the messages that the show tells us about them. You're ignoring the beautiful life and redemption that Izzy got. And yeah, you're being offensive as hell to queer disabled people. Sorry, you are.
And if you're queer and disabled and can't see a queer disabled character die - that's incredibly valid. I understand. However, that doesn't mean the show or writers hate you, or hates us, or wants you to die. They've shown us over and over again that actually, they love us.
Also - would you be this pissed if it was any other disabled character who died? Probably not.
I think it's also really important to have stories where disabled people are treated like people. And yeah, that means that sometimes we die. Because that happens in life, too. Same with queer people.
I don't really have a satisfying conclusion to this. I'm just queer and disabled, and really tired of seeing it said that it's now morally wrong to like this show. It's not. I'm queer, disabled, and I see more disability pride and support in this show than most others.
So yeah, thank you to OFMD for beautiful representations of disability, and queerness. It's a show that makes me feel seen - and that's really important.

while standing in front of the giant, mansion of a house that belonged to hueningkai you couldnt have felt more out of place. the garden was perfectly kept and there were full on butlers at the door, holding it open for you because they had been 'awaiting your arrival.' it was all so new, something you had never experienced before.
once you walked inside you were led through the admittedly, very confusing home by a maid. she rambled on about how their dear hueningkai had yet to bring friends over that werent beomgyu and how she was so glad to meet you. you felt a bit like a fraud knowing the both of you were acquaintances at best. you should try and befriend him later. he seemed like a sweet guy either way and deserved to have more friends. perhaps him and taehyun would get along.
as you continued up the winding stairs you heard a familiar twinkle of laughter, laughter that you could recognize anywhere. it was gyu, or well beomgyu now. you had already come to terms with him being the prince and having snuck around to hang out with you of all people. at first you were absolutely freaked out but now youve realized hes still the same shy guy you met at 7 eleven. still the guy who sat there for a good hour trying and failing to play simple arcade games. still the same guy who would take time out of his busy days to text you as much as possible.
knocking on the door, the maid peeked her head in and made a small gesture. her and hueningkai must have talked about this before hand because just seconds later he was stepping out of the room and giving you a big thumbs up and smile. nervously you smiled back since it seemed like beomgyu didnt know you were showing up. at least thats how it seemed when you spoke to hueningkai.
with a deep inhale you finally stepped into the large room, the sound causing beomgyu to look towards the door. your eyes widened once you noticed he wasnt wearing the familiar mask you had always seen him in. of course he wasnt, he didnt need to hide his identity with hueningkai. his expression mirrored yours, a shocked look dawning his face as you took the few seconds of shocked silence to study his features. you knew that he was handsome after finding out who he was but it was an entirely different thing to see in person. especially after knowing him personally.
"..yn? what are you doing here?" beomgyu finally piped up, sounding sheepish. he was obviously nervous most likely because you knew his big secret. for a split second you just continued to stare before jogging forward to engulf him in a hug. a soft "oof!" left his mouth from the impact before he hesitantly returned the hug.
"i missed you so much! gosh i never realized how much we talked until you were gone... dont ever do that again!" you began to ramble, hugging him tightly. you had a tendency of picking a 'favorite person' to look forward to speaking to the most and beomgyu had been that for you since a few days after you met. you had looked forward to his texts and to the hangouts you two could manage. you never thought much of it, having had other people as your favorite person that were simply friends. you assumed thats how it was with him too, but now that you were hugging him so tightly and inhaling the familiar floral scent of his perfume you felt pesky butterflies fluttering around in your stomach.
"i missed you too... you arent mad at me?" he asked softly and when you looked up you saw the pout you had imagined so many times. a new round of butterflies burst in your stomach as you smiled and reached up to playfully pinch his cheek. "i could never stay mad at you~"
it caused him to chuckle and try to evade the attack on his cheek without shoving you off him, ever the gentleman. once you finally let go of eachother beomgyu seemed happy to dive into a small tour of hueningkais room. it seemed obvious that he didnt want to talk about what had happened or what happened at the school he was sent to, and that was okay. you had to plans to pressure him into talking. he could come to you or his brother or hueningkai when he was ready.
for now, you were happy to sit and listen to him ramble on about his best friend and their stories together.

I’ve been seeing so many complaints about Jin not having enough backstory and that he’s too flat, and I’m curious to know your thoughts. I personally think he’s very developed and believe that a character should be able to stand by their current actions without needing flashbacks to explain them.
We know that he is a kind and gentle person who held (and still holds) idealistic notions, and that he effed up real bad with taking the video, and has been feeling guilty and haunted ever since. We know that he develops feelings deeply for people but always makes sure that they reciprocate. We know that he doesn’t like uncertainty when emotions are involved and wants clear communication and has a bit of a jealous streak. We know that when placed in physically dangerous situations, he will jump in immediately to defend and help people. We know that he loves photography and honestly a lot can be explained by his having an artistic soul.
I guess a recent example I’ve seen of a character that’s very developed with absolutely no flashback backstory is Tong’s character Hong from ManSuang. Obviously very different context and character but I loved how much we knew about his essence as a character and person without needing scenes about his childhood and how he grew up.
Anyway sorry for the length, and thank you for your wonderful DFF thoughts and analyses!
Thank you for sending this ask 💕 I've been thinking a lot about this too, honestly. I have some mixed, complex thoughts lol so let me try and explain them.
Firstly, I agree with you that we get a lot of Jin throughout his actions. I fully disagree with people who say that Jin is flat, or that he doesn't have impact on the narrative, or that he's a side character. Jin's always been a very central main piece of the plot. He's the everyman, reacting to the bullying the way most average people would. Acting selfishly and selflessly by turns. He's the catalyst that drove them into the woods. He's the only person who feels guilt and carries the weight of the past (among the bullies). He tries to be a good person, and fucks up bad by turns.
And as you said, we get tons of personality from Jin throughout his actions. He's naive and idealistic. He associates sex and feelings strongly. He falls hard and fast. He lives in a large house but clearly has no one checking on him when he comes home late or brings a boy over to stay the night. He shows signs of emotional neglect and unhealthy attachments. He has fits of anger which lead him to do bad things he feels awful about for years afterwards.
He calls himself a coward but when faced with a weapon he jumps in front of it to try and protect his friends.
There are a lot of shadows to his character that paint a full picture, to me. I don't find his character to be flat at all, in fact Jin is still one of my favorite characters because of all of this.
However, I do understand why people are disappointed. Because while we do see large pieces of Jin's character, when you compare him to characters like Non and Tee, where we see their home lives and motivations in detail, Jin definitely looks flat in comparison. I was also hoping that we'd get insight into Jin's home life and learn why he is the way he is, like we did with some of the others. And we didn't (and won't) get that. And that's definitely disappointing.
Especially since today, in a Space on Twitter, Sammon said she regrets not writing Jin in more detail and she views that as a failing. I think that's one reason people are being so negative about Jin's character right now.
BUT, I personally think people are entirely overblowing it all. Jin is a very interesting, complex, gray, sympathetic character in so many ways, even if we don't get that extra layer of depth. Especially given that one of the reasons we have less of Jin is because he does less terrible shit within the narrative as some of the others, I'm a bit 🤷🏻‍♀️ about it all.
Anyway! Thanks again for the ask, it was a good excuse for me to actually formulate my thoughts!

theory: trixie franklin is a lesbian
alright, this one may prove slightly controversial, but please bear with me! i've always taken the view that trixie is bi, but thinking about it more, i've come to a different conclusion.
glossary -
wlw - woman loving women, a blanket term for any woman who is attracted to women.
sapphic - another blanket term for femmes who are attracted to femmes, arguably more inclusive than wlw - here used interchangeably with the above.
lesbian - a woman or femme who is exclusively attracted to other women or femmes.
bisexual - a person who is attracted to two or more genders.
a note on compulsory heterosexuality -
before you read this, if you don't already, it's probably best to understand the concept of compulsory heterosexuality, or comphet.
this is when societies (like most in the world, even in the modern day) enforce the normalisation of heterosexual love and relationships, to the point that lgbt people feel pushed towards straight-passing relationships when they may be happier in a queer relationship.
comphet applies to all genders and queer sexualities, but today i'm going to be discussing it specifically in the context that it impacts lesbian women.
relationships with women -
full disclosure - i am a trixadette shipper (i think i might've even invented the ship). i have analysed quite a number of scenes from the first two seasons where trixie and sister bernadette interact, and there doesn't appear to be much in the way of heterosexual explanation for their behaviour towards each other. that in itself deserves its own post, and will get one in due course.
my theory that trixie is attracted to women mostly stems from her interactions with sister bernadette, and later shelagh. there are a few longing looks, some flirtatious body language and just a general air of gals who are a bit more than pals.
however, aside from this, trixie never appears happier than when she interacts with other women. she seems to gain the most fulfilment from her relationships with her female friends, far more than she does with the men in her life. barbara and valerie are prime examples of this.
prior to realisation of being sapphic, it's very common for wlw to experience intense attachment and deep love for female friends. this can truly be just platonic, or it can be a crush that is so repressed that it presents as overwhelming platonic love.
"attraction" to men -
ever since the first season, trixie has been presented as the "boy crazy" girl. she often talks about men, but if you actually watch her behaviour, she rarely pursues any particular man. additionally, closeted queer people may often overcompensate for their insecure identities by putting forward a highly straight image.
it's extremely common for lesbians who are experiencing comphet to fantasise about an abstract concept of a relationship with a man, but not have much idea of WHO that man might be. in the early seasons, when she DOES pursue a man, it is with an ulterior motive (getting that actor to be a judge for the baby show) and it ends disastrously for her.
when she does eventually get into relationships with men, it is because they pursue her. it happened with all three of her relationships we've seen on the show - tom, christopher and matthew. i do not personally think trixie showed any interest in them prior to them showing interest in her, but YMMV.
image consciousness
it's very telling that, during her AA meetings, trixie speaks at length about her ability to put on a show to please others around her. obviously, she talks about this in the context of placating her mentally ill and alcoholic father, but this skill from childhood has been highly transferable to her adult life too.
trixie is extremely good at putting on a front and looking well put together, even during her worst moments. when she was relapsing, she hid it well until her secret was unwittingly revealed to phyllis by a patient. the girl can lie and lie, but it's all a defense mechanism.
trixie clearly struggles with a view that she must be seen as perfect at all times. it's easy to see how, if she was a lesbian, this would not fit into the image she tries to display to others. i believe that part of her striving for perfection includes wanting a relationship with a man. this leads me into my next point.
cultural context
it probably goes without saying, but the 1960s was not an easy time to be a sapphic woman, especially if you weren't attracted to men. we just need to look at the story of patsy and delia to see how the show acknowledges this. comphet is still a problem we face today, in the year of our lord 2024, but it was absolutely rampant in those days. female lgbt behaviour was never criminalised like male homosexual acts, but it was harshly viewed. wlw faced a lot of the same challenges as mlm, as well as their own unique struggles when homophobia is coupled with misogyny.
marriage to a man and child-bearing were still considered the most important things a woman could do in that era. and by the time trixie gets into a relationship with matthew, she is approaching her mid-30s. in that time, trixie would have already been considered "on the shelf." the show really implies this by her becoming a lot more focused on her search for a husband in later series, like when she joins the marriage bureau.
relationships with men
i won't say much about tom, but trixie makes no bones about it when she told him he and barbara are much better suited. there's a real notion that trixie feels out of place in her relationship with tom, and ultimately she breaks it off when she realises she couldn't be happy with him in the long term.
this continues into her relationship with christopher. i really like christopher, and i think trixie does too. by far, he is the person who treats her the nicest out of the three men she has had major relationships with. however, even then, she doesn't seem entirely comfortable, and breaks it off when she fears how intimate the relationship has become. i think the situation with alexandra is mostly an excuse for her fear of commitment to a man.
i also want to talk about sex (minors, cover your ears) when i mention christopher. he's the first man she is ever implied to have slept with, and she agonised over it for a very long time before she makes the decision to do it. some people read this as her being asexual (which she still could be, even as a lesbian!), or just "proper" for the era, but opinions vary. i view it as her having no sexual attraction to MEN.
finally, matthew. oh, matthew. he makes me so very angry.
matthew and trixie essentially traumabonded over the death of his first wife, and she is a good supportive presence to him raising his son in her capacity as a midwife. i think the convenience of him showing interest in her, coupled with her recent anxiety about find a partner, created the situation where they eventually married.
and she still isn't happy. when the new pupil midwives arrive and trixie hears them having fun with nancy, she looks really sad and lost, and my heart just breaks for her. it's a sign that she regrets leaving the lifestyle she loves for a life of domestic "bliss".
when they had their argument about trixie's work, it's very telling that her immediate response was to retreat back to her safe place of nonnatus house for half the week. trixie feels the most secure when she is among women, this is shown time and time again.
this was super long winded and possibly a ramble, but these are my thoughts on her. if you made it to the end, here's my favourite happy video edit of trixie and shelagh. i'll probably make a whole post about why i ship them next.

ok so I don’t believe Aiden is dead. there’s a lot of reasoning behind why I think this, but it’s very vauge because all my theories lead down two separate paths.
SBG CHAPTER 60 SPOILERS AHEAD
Tumblr media
idk if y’all noticed the computer like affect around this scene but it only happens three times. All of which are in Ashlyn’s perspective of the incident.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
in the second photo, the computer like fliter only appears on ashylns face, the view of Aiden is mostly clear.
I have a lot of questions, and I haven’t picked a theory/explaintion for sure yet, but one of my ideas are that it’s Ashlyn’s fear completely taking over here. We already knew from the beginning of sbg that ashyln often doubts what she sees, as if she doesn’t trust her eyes to tell the truth. we’ve seen her make up excuses and fake scenarios to cope with her reality and things she’s doesn’t understand. This is not her fault though, as we’ve seen it links back to her childhood.
She can often times be pessimistic about situations, always readying for the worst situation to happen as if it’s the only way things could go down. This also relates to her childhood.
Given these two facts, as well as the disorienting fliter over Aiden’s body and her facial expressions, i think it’s safe to assume that Aiden’s injuries are not as life threatening as they appear to be. Yes, I know a ceiling fell on him, I’m not saying he’s not badly injuried. But I don’t think it will provoke a reaction in his real-world body as it did for Tyler, or at least not one as serious.
Tumblr media
this side of his face is almost completely fine, minus a few bruises (given some are from the car crash). although, since it’s a head injury, it only takes one side of his head to be damaged for it to be life threatening. But the biggest impact is to his jaw/cheek, not necessarily his skull.
Tumblr media
also, the computer-like fliter goes away as soon as another person is thrown into the equation. The streaks return to their normal color of white, and the werid glitch affect on them disappear.
Tumblr media
see how the streaks start glitching as soon as ashlyn notices Aiden’s in deathly trouble? Almost as if it’s not real/something is off. We’ve never seen these glitches before (trust me I pay attention to these things).
anyways back to the image before this where Taylor grabs Aiden. The fliter is gone, and ashlyn snaps back into reality with the help of Taylor and her instructions. Taylor’s reaction is to immediately get Aiden under something safe. This part gets a little messy since we don’t have any scenes after this to show which explaintion makes more sense but wtv. Either Taylor is full of adrenaline and is in full protection mode, which is why she doesn’t hesitate to drag Aiden to safety, or she’s aware that his injuries aren’t as bad as Tyler’s / they’re not life threatening. A blow to the face will 9/10 knock you unconscious, regardless of how powerful the hit was. Taylor may have assumed that’s what had happened to Aiden, and she didn’t have time to second guess herself. She is done letting things harm her brother and friends. Anyways, her stepping into action grounds ashlyn and pulls her back to reality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Also, this scene looks familiar doesn’t it? In the second image, the group was unable to control their emotions and were acting on pure adrenaline and feeling. Ashlyn is obviously experiencing a strong mix of fear, stress, and past trauma. If these two images are comparable, ashlyn mentally assuming/seeing the worst of the situation is not unusual.
Basically, I feel this event is exaggerated because ashyln is trying to cope with the situation. Understand that she is blaming herself for everything right now. Tyler flew out of the car just yesterday. She found him on tree just a few hours ago. She was the one who sedated him. She pulled him off the tree. She saw everything first hand, she felt the most guilty/responsible. Ashlyn has always been the one emphasizing how dangerous their situation is, but to finally see it happen right before your eyes is traumatic.
Aiden has been her main source of comfort since day 1, ashlyn has a soft spot for Aiden. He is her rock of support. So, after seeing Tyler’s ‘death’ and the affect it had on him irl, it’s not crazy to believe she is exaggerating watching Aiden ‘die’. It also makes sense because she’s watching it happen right before her eyes, while she only saw the aftermath of Tyler’s ‘death’. Ashlyn convinced herself Aiden died because she’s not in the right headspace / not mature enough to process it properly. None of them are.
I know a lot of people are speculating that the glitching effect + fliter is them shifting back into their reality since ashlyn said they only had 3 mins left, but I disagree. Lmk if that explaintion would intrest you lot.
again this is all just speculation that is quite underdeveloped. I just wanted to share it before I lost my train of thought. thank u for reading 😋

Hi! Regarding the car scene during the meeting of Lestat and Louis after the horrible fight. I don’t like What happened and i feel for Louis. But Lestat made me feel for him cuz he seemed so sad about his and Louis and the silence was rough on him. Sam is such a great actor. What did You think of that scene?
Well, there is a lot to that scene once more.
For one we get to see a clearly aiming-for-impact (dressed) Lestat who couldn't be bothered to put on a jacket (ahem) to try to get through to Louis, by, while being honest, also attempting to shift blame a bit.
Then there's Louis, who does not even quite look at him, except when he offers to leave... which is actually all the reassurance Lestat needs here.
And then there's Claudia, full on aggressive (as an angry and protective teenager is supposed to be), scratching the hood of that admittedly pretty car^^.
That is the story level of it.
Tumblr media
Then of course there is the meaning behind it.
Lestat knows Louis likes cars - that is something they share(!). We have heard Louis brag to Jonah about the car, we have them both stand proudly in front of theirs in their good times.
Tumblr media
As I said, that is something they share here, Lestat canonically loves fast cars. So he gets him one in a special color, with a twist to the coffin nose, a joke Lestat obviously expects Louis to appreciate. (But of course which falls flat here, duh). Nonetheless, the car is a very targeted gift. As is his own appearance, quite obviously to show himself off for Louis.
And that is the other side of it, it is clearly both an honest offer... and a manipulation, as so many things. He is trying to lure him back by appealing to the olden times. Which, I think, (maybe) only does not work because Claudia is there. Because as we know, Louis was looking to that phone ringing, and tempted to go to the door much, much sooner.
And then there is the vampiric side to it, and I haven't seen that touched often.
But.
Lestat catches them, with a car, while they are walking through town. And they did not notice him until he honks.
I want to take a moment on this.
Louis and Claudia are both not proficient enough in their vampiric skills to notice a powerful other vampire come at them, unless he honks.
While Lestat not only obviously knows where they are in a rather large radius, but also knows how to time it to catch them. And knows he has to honk.
There are some very interesting implications to this, imho.
a) Lestat could have caught either of them or both unawares at any moment, but he chose not to.
b) Louis and Claudia really are quite weak and very naïve (sorry, I love them dearly, but...), which of course fits with the events in season 2, but it is rather heartbreaking to realize. (They also felt so safe in NOLA despite Lestat being around that they did not look out for him! They are not afraid, just resigned and angry, respectively when they meet him... which is interesting.)
c) Because... Lestat is, at that point deferring to them (even though he challenges Louis), his family, his own coven.
And... that is not the same behavior he will emit when Louis finally takes him back! Because by then, Lestat had to (really) push through (for a few more years) and this... demure phase has passed. (The hate-sex aftermath is another story, but if you look at his behavior when he is back with them it is begrudging acquiescence at most. And then he takes back over...) I actually think it might have been much better if they'd have sat down and talked at this moment, while Lestat was not yet slipping back into stubborn defiance (and back to Antoinette), but was still mostly ashamed. I think that could have gone quite differently.
So yes, a lot to unpack in this scene. I think even though there are passive aggressive elements to it that it was an honest attempt to reach Louis, but they weren't there yet, maybe unfortunately.

Advance apology for the long ask in a likely sea of 'em. A lot of people talk about wishing they could experience something they love again for the first time, this series was genuinely as close to that as I've ever felt. Just given the span of time my attention flucuated on and off but once the latter half of s4/s5 began my attention was absolutely nailed to your feed. Its up with Dragon Ball Z Abridged as parody series that become so dramatically effective they become a valid or definitive way to experience the series. Goddamned sensational.
Your portrayals of the characters soar. They provide a hilarious, cruder take on each that still cuts right to the soul of who these people are and lays it bare, which I think is the mission of any good-natured parody. Adora, Catra, Glimmer, Scorpia, Bow, Prime etc. There is not one that does not shine. It tackled a ton of issues and misgivings I had about canon, and even elevated or clarified many scenes and arcs through addressing them a more direct fashion. You took full advantage of not having to dress up and dance around the dark subjects canon was sort of doomed to handle inadequately given its age bracket and thematic priorities. Many scenes were jawdropping. Ive raved about it before, but your scene with Glimmer actually talking about her mom with Catra still leaves me gobsmacked every time I reread it. Your big moments towards the finale btwn Adora and Catra are obviously sublime and tie their wonderful arc off fantastically, but in my heart of hearts that cell talk will be the crown jewel of this project. Loved seeing the LGBT message take center stage in way canon had to hold back. To paraphrase Tolkien, I'm can't count myself among those gifted people, and youve def got a target audience in mind, but if youve ever worried if your stories resonate on a quote unquote "more universal" level, I promise you can put those worries to bed. Since becoming an adult ive intentionally sought out more and more queer-inclusive/created stories and I havent regretted it a bit, and the rising tide of fascist sexist/homo/transphobic bile in politics gets more and more frightening. But I've also seen how strong and resilient LGBT people are in the face of it, empowering themselves in no small part thru stories like yours. Please don't ever give up on your art. The world needs artists like you. Sorry if I come off pretentious or condescending, I feel like that when I try to get everything I think out at once. I'll be among the first to come running if you ever start another project like this or make something on an even grander scale. Thank you a thousand times for this. Also writing a wholeass sitcom pilot based on an offhand quasi-joke I made is the most weirdly touching thing I think anyones ever done "for me" (at least nominally cuz of me), especially a stranger. So thank you for that too.
Aw, you'll make me cry, you know! I think you've understood everything I wanted to do with this strip (or at least, when I started thinking beyond just 'characters saying fuck'), and... yeah, it's been an incredible journey, both for the blog and for me personally.
I've always tried to keep the parody good-natured. You can often tell, particularly in parody, when the creator dislikes one particular character (I mean, Horde Prime was probably the exception here), but I love all of them, so it really comes from a place of love. It's quite odd because I never set out to "fix" the show, and I wouldn't want to, but some things I've done seem to have had such an impact that a lot of people think I have done just that.
The Glimmer/Catra conversation is absolutely one of my favourite things I've written from this. It's such a pivotal moment in both their stories and character development, and I am truly humbled that multiple people have called it 'better than canon'. Like... I'm just some person trying to be funny and occasionally serious, and people are saying something I wrote is better than what a team of experienced professional writers did? Give over, no... But it's still a moment I can be proud of.
I won't be stopping writing things. This whole blog has given me a new lease of life and something to aim towards. I've got an excellent pilot script pretty much finished, and I do want to bring Hellspawn up to that standard too (thank you for suggesting someone make a Sweary Frosta sitcom - I'm someone!). That may well involve a complete re-write, but I'll be sure to share it.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your kind words along the way. It really keeps me going :)

Patreon Reward: Pure Support Group, Chapter Nine: Malachite Sisters
It's time for the Malachite Sisters to tell their story...
Pyrrha looked over the group that had arrived for this meeting of FABJA. It was a rather full house this time, or at least, it felt more so than usual.
Velvet and Ruby were sitting next to one another, whispering fiercely to one another as they talked about something, most likely Joan related. Judging from the tents in their lower garments, it was Joan related.
Weiss had her hands over her lap, but from her blush and fidgeting, she too, was aroused. The reason? Coco was next to her, whispering and showing her pictures on her scroll. Pyrrha narrowed her eyes, and hoped for her sake that none of them were of Joan, especially taken without her permission. Otherwise, something bad may happen to her legs once Nora found out.
Across from them, Neon and Ciel sat with Fiona, muttering softly as they gestured to one another, Neon the most animated and Ciel the most subdued, with a silent Elm behind them, though she was obviously effected by the words.
Reese and Arslan were sitting together, Reese actually in Arslan’s lap, and Pyrrha prayed to any god that was listening that they weren’t actually fucking here, otherwise, Nora would literally not be able to be stopped, especially since she had Lian on her lap right now, mainly to hide the hard on she was sporting.
The only reason all three of them were there was because Joan had decided to have a ‘sleepover’ with May tonight. She wouldn’t deny the jealousy she felt at that, but it made it easier that Joan was obviously just wanting to spend some time with her godsister.
Yang and Blake were towards the back of the room, chatting with one another as they talked about more mundane things; then again, neither had seen Joan that day, as far as she knew.
Her eyes slightly narrowed as she took sight of the last five, huddled in a circle. Cinder Fall, Emerald Sustrai, Neopolitan Torchwick, and Melanie and Miltiades Malachite, the twins looking haunted and ruffled as the other three sat around them. They were silent, but Pyrrha could tell that they had given the pair some form of comfort.
But now, it was time to start the meeting.
She coughed into her hand, silencing the conversations and bringing attention to her. She gave everyone a pleasant smile. “Hello, everyone and welcome to a new meeting of FABJA. Tonight, we have two speakers who had an experience at the same time…” she glanced to the blushing twins, “Melanie? Miltiades? You have the floor.”
The twins looked at one another, both flushing horribly, before they spoke in tandem.
“It was earlier today…” they began,
~
Melanie and Miltiades groaned as they thumbed through the books on Valean History, having to do research for a combined project for Doctor Oobleck and Professor Port about Grimm Migration Habits and how they had impacted the creation of Vale.
So, here they were, browsing through at least fifty books with publication dates ranging from five years ago to before the Great War, some of which were rare since a lot of books had been destroyed in the effort to eradicate art itself. And they still needed more sources.
“I’ll go and see if there are any more books relating to the subject, Milty.” Melanie rose from her seat, happy for the excuse to stretch her legs and get away from the books that were currently turning her brains into soup. She swore at words and events were bouncing around and getting mixed up in her head. Which they probably were. She was smart, for sure, but History wasn’t her strong suit. Which is why she and Miltiades were doubling up on the project.
Stretching, Melanie felt her joints pop before she made her way down between the stacks of books, wondering what works would actually help with their project. As she walked down the stacks, she wondered if any of the books at all would be worthwhile to help with their project.
As she made her way through the stacks, she bumped into someone, both of them yelping as they managed to avoid falling over, Melanie wondering who she had hit, only to suck a breath in as she saw a blonde braid of hair, bright blue eyes, and curves that strained the uniform that they wore.
Melanie felt her cock chubbing and her balls gurgling in her panties already at the sight of Joan Arc standing before her, looking frazzled as well from the bump.
“Sorry, sorry!” Melanie blurted out, hoping that she hadn’t upset the beautiful girl that she and her sister had been wanting to get closer to.
Thankfully, the blonde only smiled. “It’s okay, Melanie, I wasn’t looking.” and boy, did the fact that the blonde recognized her off the bat sent her heart a flutter. “What are you looking for?”
“Miltia and I are working on that project that Port and Oobleck about how Grimm Migrations affected history. We’re hip deep in books and still need more sources…” Melanie sighed, shaking her head.
She forced the blush down as she saw Joan visibly brighten, her smile almost blinding in nature at this point. “Oh, yeah that was rough. Thankfully, I finished that a couple days ago!” Melanie blinked once, twice, three times. Then, Joan said the magic words, ones that sung like an angelic chorus in her head. “Would you like some help with getting a few more sources that you may not have?”
Melanie couldn’t nod her head fast enough. Getting to spend time with her cute crush and getting what she needed to finish this hellish project with her sister! Count her in!
She followed the bubbly blonde through the stacks, her eyes embarrassingly dropping below the waist immediately and following the swing of her hips. She tried to resist, but it was impossible. Joan’s hips and rear were fucking hypnotic; it was like watching a pendulum sway.
She felt some pain on the inside of her mouth, but assumed she bit herself by accident when they had collided. It couldn’t be anything else, after all.
Melanie whimpered as she felt her cock swell in her panties as she watched the sway and jiggle before her, her balls reminding her of the fact that neither she nor her sister had emptied themselves in the past couple of days, since they had been forced to focus on this project.
~
Miltiades buried her face in her hands. “That’s when Goodwitch asked me about scheduling our Semblance check…” she mumbled, the red of her cheeks bleeding through her hands.
“Wait...you mean you-” Yang was cut off by Melanie continuing, her voice shrill and echoing through the room.
“Anyway!!!”
~
Miltiades was wondering where her sister was, it having been several long minutes already, although she did understand that she probably was looking through the stacks for books, but that did not explain the sensations that their semblance was giving her.
A quick lance of pain, followed by a bubbling sense of arousal, making her cock bloat a little as blood rushed to it. She bit her lower lip as she tried to calm herself (and Melanie) down. The last thing either of them needed was for them to have an ‘attack’ in the library and be banned from it.
“Miss Malachite?” Miltiades was pulled from her thoughts as she heard a voice call out to her, and glanced up, swallowing hard as she saw Deputy Headmistress Goodwitch having walked up near her without her noticing.
“Yes, Professor Goodwitch?” she asked, biting the inside of her cheek again to try and signal to Melanie to knock it out, whatever it was that she was doing.
“Yes, I wanted to tell you and your sister that we have scheduled several tests to see if we can’t help you both with your semblance.” while Miltiades would feel relief at that statement, since Beacon’s idea of ‘training’ would be leagues more sane than Neo’s (despite how much it had helped), the rapidly building arousal in her belly, in her balls, was filling her with panic instead, and she was hoping that the damned signal was letting her sister know to stop whatever she was doing.
~
Melanie was in heaven. She was currently sitting at a table with her (and several others close by, but they didn’t count) and pouring over several books and taking notes with her. They were close enough that she could smell her, the scent of lemons and oranges tickling her nose. Part of her longed to ask if it was her natural scent or a perfume, but she refrained, feeling it would be too creepy.
She felt creepy enough with her cock being a steel beam underneath the table, practically touching the tabletop from the bottom as she listened to Joan’s voice and her eyes following her swaying boobs as she leafed through book pages.
She knew that she was in real trouble now, panic starting to hit her as she realized that she wouldn’t be able to get up at all if she needed to, and anyone looking under the table would see something incredibly embarrassing.
“-the Slaughter of Nevermore Ravine was called that due to well, the Mantle Army being stupid enough to go into a dry ravine and being pinned down and most of their forces impaled by Nevermore Pinions from the ones that were nesting there.”
Okay, Melanie knew that the subject matter was morbid, but hearing the beautiful girl saying the words ‘pinned down’ and ‘impaled’ put more intimate images in her head, ones where the girl speaking was ‘pinned down’ between her and Miltiades and ‘impaled’ on their cocks, squealing and writhing in pleasure as they fucked her.
She was only half listening now, vaguely noticing that the others around them had left, leaving them alone, which she was going to savor.
Melanie was pulled out of her thoughts as Joan suddenly put a hand over her mouth and yawned, her incredible bust pushing out against the button up top, straining it. Oh, how she wished that she could see under it…
POP! POP! POP! POP! “EEEP!”
Melanie’s eyes widened and her mouth fell open as the buttons on Joan’s top exploded off of her body, flying across the room and ‘plink’ing along the ground as Joan’s top opened up and her absolutely massive breasts spilled out, cradled in a lovely blue with yellow trim bra that looked like it was on its last legs holding her impressive proportions.
Joan immediately tried tugging her top closed back over her chest, but all she succeeded in doing was making her breasts jiggle in such a way that Melanie had no hope in keeping her arousal down. Standing, she covered her chest and rushed off, her skirt moving with enough force that she saw pure white silk before the blonde vanished into the stacks, leaving her alone.
Biting her lip, Melanie buried her face in her arms as her balls unloaded all over the floor beneath the table with extreme prejudice as she came with a muted scream of pleasure.
Through the pleasure, all Melanie could do was hope that Miltiades had managed to get somewhere without embarrassing herself…
~
Miltiades wanted to die. Why? Not only had something enticed her sister to an orgasm, but she had been hit as well due to the ‘looping’ effect of their arousal! That wouldn’t be too bad, but the fact of the matter was, she hadn’t been able to get away and to a private place in order to release!
The result?
She had cum, and not only had she absolutely ruined hours of their work, Professor Goodwitch stood still before her, frozen in shock, her face and chest splattered with her cum.
The silence was damning, before Glynda spoke, her voice dead. “We shall never speak of this, Miss Malachite. Please take your sister to the Infirmary at the appointment time next week.” the woman growled, before stalking off.
Miltiades dearly wanted to ask if she was actually going to walk the halls painted in her cum, but she wasn’t stupid. As it was, her balls were still emptying themselves, and her voice didn’t work anyway, so it was a moot point.
She groaned, face planting into the table, the cum soaked papers sticking to her cheek.
~
“And that’s what happened…” Miltiades groaned out, both herself and Melanie shuddering and cum seeping through their clothes as they remembered what had happened earlier.
While everyone was sympathetic at the story, there was one other pressing matter, a persistent thought that only one person dared ask.
“How did you survive jizzing all over Goodwitch!?” Yang blurted out, her own erection straining against her shorts.
Both siblings buried their faces in their hands, refusing to speak anymore.
Realizing that she had to get things back on track before they derailed (especially since Nora had that look in her eye that said that she was about to listen to impulsive thoughts, and Reese was squirming on Arslan’s lap) further than they already were, Pyrrha coughed into her hand and cleared her throat. “Okay!” she flushed a bit as she heard her voice reach a high pitch, but she soldiered on, “Yang, that was rude, you know the rules of this support group!” she saw Yang flinch, and looked back at the others. “Melanie, Miltiades, thank you for sharing, and I am sorry you had such an embarrassing experience. Let’s all retire for the night...we all need to get some rest, I believe.”
“...and we all need to dump out a few loads as well…” despite the fact that it was plainly Neon that muttered that, no one said anything.
It was very true, after all.

hi i know this is random but i want to hear an opinion, Do you think if attack on titan had levi and hange relationship backstory or like an ova in terms of how they gotten close (I know it's quite obvious that they are) , do you think the dedicate your heart scene when hange is about to die would have hit alot alot harder than it already has ? (Obviously it was depressing for hange to die)
Oooh! This is a very interesting question. I think it could go both ways. One, if they had explored their backstory closer, I'm sure people would have felt more attached to them being together, and more understanding as to why it was so hard for Levi to let go of Hange. As we all already know, if he had been selfish enough he would have chosen to not allowed them to go, but because he treasured Hange so much, he put their wishes before him, and I think that is poetically bittersweet. And it shows already the level of trust and understanding they have for each other with just the scenes we've been given. Adding a backstory to them would magnify the extend of how much love they held for each other, and how much they gave up for the sake of the world. Seeing their backstory would also make it harder to watch them split off since their interactions would be played off from the years they've experienced together. Not only do I think it would make the Dedicate Your Heart scene more impactful, but I'm sure it would have made the confession scene in the forest also shift and be seen in a more romantic setting as well. I honestly think a backstory would make the meaning of sacrifice hit harder because of the added point of view as viewers where we see them grow closer together, and creating this unique bond that progresses naturally as they survive their ventures into the outside walls. I can only imagine how long it must've taken for two complete opposites to becomes so understanding of each other to the point they're the only person that fully gets them in the end. And being able to watch this progression would hurt like a truck by the time they bid each other goodbye.
On the other hand, I also feel like for some people it can take away the special feeling of the scene. Because from what we have seen and read from the manga and anime, it leaves so much for us to interpret on our own about the in betweens of their relationship. When we're not given the full story, we can only interpret some aspects of their history together, we can only assume how they became so close, and that in itself is also a part as to why their goodbye scene hit so hard for some readers. Because based on what what one imagines had occurred in their past together it can be interpreted differently, and for those who envision a certain backstory can be affected differently. And if we had been given a backstory, it could destroy some expectations of how they see their relationship. An example is how we've seen Levi's character mourn before, but we saw for the first time Levi wishing to hold onto someone and be vulnerable to them. Because we have no backstory to Levihan we can only assume just how they'd gotten to that point, and I think that's magic in itself as to why the sudden shift in Levi's demeanor hit so hard in their goodbye scene. Where they in love with each other? Did they push back these feelings all this time until their end? Did they finally get the courage to confess at the end? Had something happened between them in their years together? All of these plausible possibilities depending on the viewer can influence how much the last scene means. And I think that's why Isayama probably left it like it was for their goodbye scene. I think Dedicate Your Heart already seems pretty self explanatory to how Levi felt for Hange, but how deeply it plays out depends on the reader themselves and how close they think the two actually were. Sometimes the missing pieces to a story creates the most painful conclusions because you'll never understand how they came to be.
Me personally, I would of course love to have a backstory to Levi and Hange. I want to see their progression from comrades to inseparable besties that can't go a day without teasing and shit talking each other. Because let's be honest, when had Levi ever let his guard down enough to joke so easily with someone? I've always wished for an expansion to their history. And I 100000% believe that it would've made me bawl even more at their goodbye knowing how far their journey had been together, only for them to end up on separate endings. But I can also see how the lack of backstory can also be a device used to bring out more pain since we lack so much of their story, and can only take what we've been given as face value to what had been their relationship as we know.
Thank you so much for the ask, anon! Really got me thinking there (and I might not have been typing this for over three hours now since you got me into a hole). I would love to hear what you think as well!

Thoughts on the idea of eggman doing horribly vile shit but still wanting to be seen as in the right for it, like “oh I’m not making them slaves it’s protective robot skin haha”
Feel like it could be an interesting twist on his char, kinda got some of those vibes from the park in colors, the full corporate speak and like, trying to make this obviously evil plan look not evil, feel like there’s a lot to be done there
I love love looove it, that's what I was expressing a desire to share more concepts of just the other day. I have some I've been meaning to share but my favorite part is when he finally drops the act and shows his true colors and mocks them for it like a cold hearted bastard so I focus on that most lol. I do wanna delve into the build up more though.
He has indeed done it in various official media already like X, Archie, games, and promo material and I absolutely loved every instance of it. But since I'm a game canon guy primarily I'm just gonna focus on that for this reply, though in the future I'm probably going to share what I liked about the cases even outside them because I appreciate it in many places.
I love how one of the things about how he likes to take things that are generally considered childish like toys, theme parks, carnivals, circuses, etc and has his own twisted fucked up spin on it is how it can also be used to lure people in with the bright colors and usually perceived innocence of it. The times Eggman has played into it is interesting.
With Eggmanland in Unleashed, he was upfront about the hell on earth that it was to Sonic because he knew he wouldn't have believed his trickery, plus he takes pride in the fact. He enjoyed teasing him with the "If you have any complaints, come deliver them to me in person. If you can, that is!" to emphasize that it was the theme park of horror >:)
Plus the atmosphere was a lot darker so despite the neon colors, it probably wouldn't have fooled anyone Sonic or not. But he still had the Eggshop be a thing where horrible sawdust and motor oil tasting food was sold to make it horrible and unpleasant for his sadistic amusement, so maybe he would've hoped to trick people regardless?
We don't get to know for sure there but in Colors he wants lots of visitors and he really had to do some immense trickery make sure it seemed innocent and appealing enough to get them to use a space elevator to travel all the way up there lol. It's a lot more colorful and fun looking than the more dark and polluted looking Eggmanland from afar.
So for the Interstellar Park, the trickery is both in its design and his words with how he pretended it was a happy wonderland of fun with nothing to do with any evil plot or premeditated misdeeds. What I love is how once you've gotten all the way up there in space, you're fucked. You'll get messed up and killed one way or another.
In his PAs when you're actually inside, the act is dropped quick. He lies about some of it being safer than it looks but for the most part? All his lines are brutally honest about how messed up it really is, with the Wisps he harmed, blatantly acknowledges the dangers of the rides and planets, and how they can cause death, horror, and fear.
I love how sadistic he is in the PAs and his morbid humor that reveals how truly sick he is and that this park was created for anything but pure innocent reasons. He intended for the rides to be deadly and food to be bad and finds it very amusing. He probably loves the idea of these tricked people coming in and quickly becoming horrified and afraid.
But it still looks so colorful and fun from afar! It's so beautiful and with the joys he promises, how could you not want to go? So while it works to lure people in, it can also give its true horrors even more impact when visitors expect something nice but the dangerous disturbing and terrifying reality is revealed and I'm sure that's very appealing to him too.
So you get this funny combination of him both trying to deceive you but then quickly becoming brutally honest as soon as you're successfully trapped in it. This is exactly what happened in the SPINGEAR ride too, where he was immediately like "haha sike you're actually in for a terrible time!" as soon as the ride began and was loving it.
But I think the idea of him playing the long game with his trickery and deceit is interesting too. We've mostly only seen cases where it's a lot quicker like that but he's set up well for him to do an elaborate scheme of dragging it out for longer and the impact would hit extra hard after all that time too, which he'd definitely enjoy and mock after.
The Eggman Empire propaganda Sonic Forces promo video was cool because Eggman was trying to convince people the world being a dark polluted hellscape is actually a good thing, which reflects his twisted idea of a "perfect" world shaped his image, where he has the power of the control and the sadistic enjoyment of the harsh conditions.
Then because people obviously need the clean air to live, he tries to trick them into thinking robotomy is a wonderful helpful treatment for it. That never needing to eat, sleep, or think again is a good thing and that they'll love it. When really it's a trick to get them to submit to him, have control over them and strip them of their freedom and free will.
But there's an eerie glimpse at how he really knows none of this right with how he says love is mandatory. Once he's tricked them and they've submitted and given up their freedom and will, he can use them as he pleases and keep them controlled and brainwashed but if they do realize how fucked up it is there's no going back, they're trapped in it now.
I'd really like to see more of that, where he tries to tell people the vile things he does are genuinely great, for their own good, are nice and selfless of him and genuinely beneficial for them. Where he manages to manipulate so well to the point of mass delusion and brainwashing with people that follow him believing he's doing something the right thing.
It's good to be a mindless slave under his control, never having to think for yourself again! Trapping living beings in robots improves upon nature and is better and more beneficial than natural! The deadly attractions are what real fun and excitement really is! The brutal sadistic punishments if they fall out of line is for their own good! There's no meaning to life if it isn't to serve him and the world is better under his control!
And the idea of people actually believing that in the Sonic universe and following him is interesting to think about. Even though it bothers me when people do it in real life and believe his lies and think he actually has good intentions but I mean hey, they give me an example of what it'd be like at least. Eggman really is a good actor, props to him! XD
I have a few ideas I'd like to share in the future. Showing love, care, and false acts of kindness to trick and manipulate, or not even hiding his vile actions but managing to convince people it's good or that the end justifies the means, and have them falling for it and he sees how far he can take it makes it especially impactful and devastating.
Delusion, deceit, manipulation, and gaslighting in general is very fascinating to me after years of experiencing it and I've always wanted to understand it from the perpetrator's perspective and portray it as dark and disturbing as it really is. It's always been interesting for me to explore in Eggman too, from when he's manipulating specific characters to the masses. I've actually been researching big cases of mass delusion in history again lately so this is timely.
Pulling people into the empire with the lie that it's something great that will benefit everyone but their leader has much darker intentions and the true final outcome will benefit only himself, but he strings them along on a lie, brainwashes them, and has control though mind games and trickery is fascinating and thrillingly devious.
Then slowly or abruptly realizing it's a lie and the impact when it all comes crashing down and Eggman spits and laughs in their face and mocks them for having a heart and wanting to see good in him/believing and having hope in good coming from it. It emphasizes his coldness and cruelty and how much of a threat he is even to the mind.
And if that happens he'll try to shut down their doubts and lie more to keep them deluded because he knows just what they want to hear and promises them they'll get it. So if they don't believe it's right, the ends justify the means. And if that doesn't work, he'll threaten them to keep them in so they can't leave, or have them dealt with.
But he's so good at taking advantage of people's vulnerabilities, saying what they want to hear, and embedding lies so deeply into their minds to warp reality into what he wants them to believe that sometimes they may be too far gone and never see the truth. And he takes it to the darkest places, using them all up and harming them and they die in vain.
Every outcome has the potential to be very fascinating, entertaining, and impactful!
