I've already done the Lords, so now onto the houses, starting with the most popular house.

Hubert von Vestra: a master of the dark arts, Edelgard's erstwhile retainer and essential confidant to me is a mix of Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Aleister/Malakai Black. All three men have silver tongues and evil intentions.

Ferdinand von Aegir: ADRENALINE / IN HIS SOUL / FERDINAND'S JUST LIKE CODY RHODES

(SS/AM/VW Ferdinand is AEW Cody Rhodes, while CF Ferdinand is Cody in WWE)

Dorothea Arnault: there aren't many wrestlers on this side of the Pacific with singing gimmicks, so considering Dorothea's struggles with insecurity and imposter syndrome, her closest analogue in pro wrestling would be Maki Itoh (if Itoh had been a wildly successful idol singer before joining TJPW.)

Caspar von Bergliez: the purest, most naive and most caring little shithead I've ever seen. He's also very hungee. He's a lock for John Silver, the meat man himself.

Linhardt von Hevring: an incredibly talented but lazy and unfocused man? Sounds like Randy Orton. That said, in kayfabe I doubt Randy could be friends with John Silver, so a better choice would be Alex Reynolds, the member of the Dark Order with the most yet-untapped potential.

Bernadetta von Varley: Bernie and Bayley have the same number of letters. Coincidence? I THINK NOT! The Bayley buddies entrance gimmick also seems like something Bernie would like since it's cute ,though maybe with inflatable tube bears instead of the regular ones.

(I have this image in my mind of Bernie going berserk and doing the Felix Disarming Technique™ to whatever the Fodlan equivalent of Alexa Bliss would be. Why yes, I'm still salty Bayley lost that Extreme Rules 2017 match.)

Petra MacNeary: Petra's aesthetic reminds me of Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone, but her deadly strikes and aerial offence make me think of KAIRI (Hojo/Sane). Petra's confidence in breaking away from Adrestria (especially in SS route runs) and betting on her own survival does bring her more in line with Sasha/Mercedes, so I'll be sticking to that.

Thanks for the ask friend!!! I'm so glad you specified Three Houses because if not I would have been sweating.

1. Sylvain/Felix

They are my absolute, favourite pairing in the entire game. Childhood best friends who pledged to stay with one another always and die with one another?? Like??? You already had me at childhood best friends you did NOT need to go that extra mile, guys. And then in their paired ending they do die together?? Also, their dynamic!! Sylvain with his jaded edges and baggage regarding Crests and how he feels people see him and value him. Felix with the baggage of Glenn's death, his father, and of course his sharp exterior to ward others away. Top Tier. They also in my mind fit the "Pining and Jealousy" trope really well and I'm always here for that.

2. Hilda/Marianne

Their supports are so sweet and cute!!! Also! Hilda being the outgoing, bubbly one while Marianne is the sweet quiet one? That's Adorable. Hilda being able to boost Marianne's confidence and Marianne always there to listen to Hilda and support her?? Cute!!! Their colour palette of blue and pink is also off the charts for Aesthetic.

3. Ferdinand/Hubert

First, they are Sun and Moon dichotomy so that's already an A+++ in my books. Next, they start off hostile and dislike one another only for them to grow to understand the other?? Enemies/Rivals to Friends to Lovers???? Amazing. Finally, their English VAs for the one year anniversary of 3H sang a cover of For Good from Wicked and... uh... yeah.

4. Caspar/Linhardt

Okay, they are childhood best friends so that's a tick in my YES box. But!! They have this silent ease and understanding between them that speaks of years and years of friendship. So, I see them as friends who are actually already married but Caspar is unaware of this. Linhardt is aware because I live on the idea that at age six (6) he decided to marry Caspar (did not tell him of course) and went "Okay that's been decided" and has lived his life with this singular truth.

5. Dorothea/Petra

What I love about this pairing is both of them feel out of place. Dorothea being a commoner in the Black Eagles house where everyone else is nobility. As well as her fear of not having stability as she grows older. Petra is the foreigner, who is still learning the customs of a new culture while being away from all she knows and loves. Dorothea's support and kindness towards Petra is really lovely and their supports are super cute. Plus... Petra is a cutie and Dorothea deserves not just a cutie but also a Princess.

one of my favourite lines in the game, purely for the Implications i can wring out of it is Dorothea’s "I don't believe in the goddess, but...I do believe in you. You've taught us all so much, Professor. You've even taught me to have faith." 

the idea that faith magic in fire emblem universe works from Any faith, not necessarily religious faith, is absolutely fantastic for the mulch pile i call my imagination. what does linhardt believe in?? does he even consciously believe in it. is it his innate faith in magic that he believes in? because i’ll die on this hill. and marianne (my lass) .. her faith in the goddess is so complex, i wonder if the spells would even work? if she’s constantly in turmoil over her relationship with the goddess - do only some spells work? is it even the goddess she’s drawing from? then there’s manuela - is it faith in the goddess? the magic itself? the idea that her magic can heal? herself/her own ability? i’d also lean towards her faith in the goddess as her magical catalyst as that support chain with edelgard lives in my head rent free. 

but this dorothea quote.. is it possible that dorothea just could not cast complex faith magic until this moment with byleth? that does slap in an emotionally aesthetic kind of way. but then the timeskip - would dorothea have to rebuild her faith? would her faith in byleth strengthen or lessen (bro it’s 3am i can’t remember how she reacts post skip . alas) did she have to talk herself into supporting edelgard’s cause wholeheartedly because she just.. couldn’t heal if she didn’t believe in it?? or did this moment signal that dorothea had literally taught herself a work-around for the faith magic system and she’s unnervingly good at healing without ever setting foot in a cathedral. i am Obsessed with this line. utterly obsessed.
