"The sun sets on this side of my mind" I just finished watching the Bridon Arc of Link Click and my heart is broken 😭
So here is an obligatory fanart of these tortured souls. Now excuse me while I go cry in a corner...

I loved this frame from LinkClick s2's op so I wanted to redraw it - I also need to shake Luguang by the shoulders because I have so many questions

🫧Dive🌊 - a short comic for Link Click (Yingdu/Bridon arc)
Domestic cats will go to great lengths to avoid water. They do not like being wet, and prefer to not get close to bigger bodies of water, like lakes and oceans.
Domesticated cats stay mostly indoors, away from deep waters, which can cause significant fear and shock for the cat.
Cats dislike getting their whiskers wet, since it might disrupt how they perceive their environment.
Cats are used to staying dry. They clean themselves without water, and despite drinking water sometimes, they get enough of it from food.
Wet fur might leave a cat prone to the cold, because it destroys the insulative later of it. Wet fur is also heavy, which slows down the cat, and makes it vulnerable in the face of danger.
🫧🫧(I should quit overthinking🥲so anyway...)🫧🫧
Yingdu Kitty Guang agenda! 👀🫶✨ + a dialogue exchange from episode 1 that had an impact on how I perceive the show. I decided to interpret it in my own way, and here we are! Hope it looks nice?✌️✨
(Artist notes: This comic took wayyyy too long to make! 🥲 My idea stemmed from the ironic fact that 'diving' is an actual thing that people do, and that cats hate water, with Lu Guang often being depicted as a white cat... Additionally, the 12 hour limit on this risky act of 'diving' kinda made me think that if you stayed longer, you can drown.
"It's a nice metaphor!" - I thought, naive, a week ago. Since then I've been fighting for my life academically and also with my PC which was prone to exploding while I worked 😭😭😭 All in all, this project was fun and allowed me to discover a linear workflow, but on the other hand, it drained me. Additionally, covering my art in watermarks was painful, since I didn't want to mess the picture up, but alas, as an online artist, I have to watch out... 😔)

Im new to the fandom so idk if this has been discussed b4 but I haven't seen anybody talking about it
So in the chibi series tarot episode people we don't see Lu Guang's card and I have seen people speculating about it. But I haven't seen anybody talking about the ending scene of the episode.

The placement reminds me of the placement for guidence for change readings
Tumblr media
So the first one is strength for the action to take on during. Strength means using the courage and inner strength to push through hard times. Also it is almost horizontal so the reverse meanings might also have a play here
Second is the sun for support. The sun means childlike joy , brightness and optimism so it is definitely Cheng Xiaoshi giving him support during this.
Third is the moon for higher guidence. It is used here to tell him to trust his intuition and not allow himself to fall to self-deception. It also tells that there is a hidden truth that needs to be uncovered.
The forth one is the thing to let go od with the tower. This one is concerning bc it is for accepting the change and moving on. But it might also mean to let go of the old beliefs. This with Lu Guangs idea of the past and futures unchangibility works a lot.
The last one is what to gain with the star. The star. It is about ones fulfillment and the loss one faces making them stronger and finding ones innerself. The star also cannonicly comes after the tower in the deck so it might prove that this was intentional
So um how I read the situation is not looking bright. Lu Guang might actually en up giving up on Cheng Xiaoshi at the end. But maybe I'm reading it wrong I don't know tarot that good. But with the show having a lot of cryptic messaging I dont think this is coincidental

okay, just hear me out!!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
since cheng xiaoshi's mother is also a time traveler and wants to save her husband by changing the past, WHAT IF her actions GREATLY influenced the development of events? i mean, of course they did, but what if cheng xiaoshi WASN'T SUPPOSED TO DIE in THE VERY FIRST timeline?
what if it was his mother's attempts to prevent her husband's death that led to this series of events??? to xiaoshi's death??????
JUST IMAGINE. it's the first time she's changed the past, SO liu xiao & co start looking for her AND cheng xiaoshi's father (because SHE is looking for him)
is that why they find cheng xiaoshi and everything leads to vein killing him?????? AND THEN lu guang jumps in time, trying to stop it.
WHAT IF he doesn't succeed precisely because cheng xiaoshi's mother dives in a few years before him and changes events there, condemning him to failure in advance???
WHAT IF THE ONLY WAY to save cheng xiaoshi is to give up saving his father??
imagine a conversation between lu guang and cheng xiaoshi's mother. she proves that if her son and lu guang don't interfere, she will save her husband and everyone will live happily, and lu guang tells her about cheng xiaoshi's death. aaaaand they both understand HOW to prevent it. a choice between a husband and a child. and it seems to me that she would have chosen a husband (seriously, it feels like both parents consider their goal and each other more important than their son..)
Tumblr media
NOW IMAGINE she apologizes to lu guang and promises to save cheng xiaoshi as soon as she saves her husband and then disappears, and Lu Guang now has a certain enemy. not the whole flow of time, but the mother of the one he is trying to save. aand now he knows who needs to be stopped in order to achieve his goal.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THIS?
