Let's test UserLAnd, the new free application that we find in the Store of ours smartphone and that allows us to have some Linux programs always with us. As many of us already know, Android is an operating system created by Google which is based on Linux, just like Ubuntu. Unfortunately however, until today, these two worlds are remained almost separate. Long last this obstacle was brilliantly passed thanks to an application that we find in the Play Store of our mobile device: UserLAnd. One time installed, we will find a list of operating systems and Linux applications that we will be able to easily install and use even with the smartphone.

Ubuntu for Android, should it have been released to the public?
One thing that I get asked every few weeks is "hows your LinuxonAndroid project different from Ubuntu for Android?". The short answer is very little, part from that fact theirs is not released, but has a team of (likely) fairly well paid software聽engineers working hard, while mine is just a small group of three doing it in our free聽time.
The next question that tends to follow is when will Ubuntu for Android be released? And thats a question I to would love to know the answer to, after being demoed way back in聽February it seems very odd that such a project has yet to reach even a public alpha test?
Surely Canonical has seen that with Ubuntu the support of the聽community can make such a project move forward far faster.聽
In the mean time I will keep pushing with my project, as it would seem that even on release its not going to have as wide a range of support as LinuxonAndroid.聽
