I don’t say “trust me” as I push off and hug the wind, my blades singing from the taste of dark-glass ice. He doesn’t say “I’m here”, never has to. After that messy toe loop I pull off, he catches me safe, our orbits meeting, etching distracted circles towards the far shore. It’s sunset hours at the lake, and when he smiles there’s gold leaf in his lashes. He kisses me now, holds me here at this gilded edge of the universe – my home is never a place, I realise then, and he kisses me slowly like he’s always known.

"It felt like a dream: the cold breeze at his face yet his heart warm next to a person he loved."

Draco stepped out of the train and then started looking for Harry. They had planned this trip for many weeks but their schedules couldn't get to match until this week, when Harry’s boss decided to close the store because his boyfriend had broken up with him and was “just too sad to sell records”. It worked out great because it was also Draco’s weekend off, so he had taken the first train to Harry’s home. After looking around the station for a few minutes, he finally spotted the signature Potter wild hair.

“Hi” Harry called while beaming at him.

Draco started to tell everything about his ride while Harry guided them towards the exit. He sat next to this girl who couldn’t stop talking about this new Scottish band. Harry had listened to them, so he offered to take Draco to see them live.

“Are you Harry Potter asking me on a second day, even though we haven't even started the first one yet? '' Draco asked with a snarl. “You are indeed a brave man”.

Draco was planning to keep on teasing Harry when he realized that they had stopped in front of a motorbike, “Harry what's that?”

“A mean of transportation? It’s actually our mean of transportation”

 Draco Malfoy would definitely not get in a bike with Potter, but then he realized he was no longer that Malfoy. Going on a motorbike with Harry was something he was willing to do, even though it seemed a bit too dangerous, the prospect of a date in the woods with the boy he had fallen in love outgrow everything else.

“Look, I even bought a helmet,'' It was violet and with a white dragon on the side. Draco couldn't help but put it on, it was ridiculous and sweet, just like Harry.

They drove with Harry at the front and Draco at the back with his arms tightly secured at Harry’s waist.

The view was beautiful, the city was quickly left behind and replaced by huge landfills and centuries-old trees. It felt like a dream: the cold breeze at his face yet his heart warm next to a person he loved.

They walked for hours, last weekend had snowed and the view was simply impressive. The trees stand tall and bright, full of snow. They spent the whole hike with their eyes full of nature’s beauty and each other's smiles.

They sat by the riverbank to eat before going back home. After they clean and back up, Harry takes Draco’s wrist and then his hands. With their fingers intertwined, Harry meant to, but Draco was the one who closed the space between both. The kiss was sweet and soft, Draco moved apart a few seconds and Harry spotted a shy smile that just made him go back to kiss him. “I love you”. No other words were said and just like that their friendship had become a different kind of love.

They went back to the motorbike and drove home with the stars above them.

Liquid Luck Roll The Dice Challenge 2023 starts today!

From today on, you can contact me to receive a prompt for the challenge.

Every prompt consists of three different things; a fanfic trope, a colour you need to use in your work, and a setting. There are 15 different tropes, colours and emotions. When you ask for a prompt, I will roll a virtual dice three times to see which trope, colour and setting will make up your final prompt.

Summary: Once upon a time, winter descended upon England and decided to stay. People began to get more depressed, angrier, and meaner. When a little boy is kidnapped, Harry Potter must be the one to find him and put an end to the eternal winter by facing the culprit: The Ice Prince. or Harry hasn't seen or talked to Draco since he disappeared a couple of years after his trial. Something weird is happening with the weather, but Harry and his godson, Teddy, take advantage of it with off-season sledding and ice-skating. When Narcissa dies and Teddy is kidnapped shortly after, Harry follows the trail, helped by an old crone and a cryptic fairy.
