Obsession Web Series Netflix Cast
- Richard Armitage - Charlie Murphy - Anil Goutam - Rishi Shah - Sonera Angel - Francesca Knight - Kerim Hassan - Victor Pontecorvo - Greg Barnett - Celine Arden - Isla Jackson-Ritchie - Letty Thomas Obsession Web Series Netflix Story The plot revolves around a complicated love triangle involving a well-respected surgeon named William, played by Richard Armitage, and his soon-to-be daughter-in-law Anna, played by Charlie Murphy. The story unfolds as William develops feelings for Anna, leading to a situation where she is torn between her love for him and her commitment to her fiancé, William's son. This kind of storyline can be compelling and thought-provoking, as it explores the complexity of human emotions and our choices when faced with difficult situations. However, it is essential to note that this relationship dynamic can be problematic in real life and may have serious consequences. It is important to remember that relationships involving power imbalances, such as a father-in-law and daughter-in-law, can be inherently unequal and potentially harmful. In such relationships, one party may have more influence, resources, or authority, making it difficult for the other party to make genuinely free choices. Furthermore, if such relationships go wrong, they can cause irreparable damage to families and individuals involved. Therefore, while it may be tempting to find entertainment in the drama of such relationships on screen, it is crucial to maintain a critical and ethical perspective. It is also essential to recognize the difference between consensual relationships and those that involve coercion, manipulation, or other forms of abuse. In conclusion, the love triangle between William, Anna, and his son may provide an engaging plot for a movie or TV show. Still, it is crucial to approach it with caution and sensitivity to the complex power dynamics and potential consequences that such relationships may entail in real life. As we engage with media, we must always consider the broader ethical implications and promote healthy, respectful relationships, prioritizing mutual consent and agency. “I thought that if it came to that, no matter how long you’ve been together, no matter how much you love each other, it would have to be my decision and my decision alone. I cried when I thought that, you know, that we’re all just really... just on our own.”

Ordinary Love
(Lisa Barros D’Sa & Glenn Leyburn, 2019)
A movie like this, one seeking to plant itself in the everyday, in the moment to moment existence of a perfectly ordinary life needs to be filled out with enough details to feel like it is actually observant, on point, true to a reality recognized by those that watch it.
I would say on that level Ordinary Love is an undoubted success, its time dwelt in conversations so banal, kind of pointless, often meaningless in terms of subject matter, but that through their playing out come to life thanks in huge part to the second thing that a movie like this needs to have on its side, performers capable of hooking you into the mundanity of everyday existence, and it is on this front that this movie well and truly comes becomes special.
Throwaway lines, the reply 'Same' when asked how the pain is doing comes packed with meaning, the deeper implications instantly understandable without more than 'Same' having to be said, the visuals of peoples faces as they discuss whether or not 3 is closer to 5 than to 1, who should do the speaking when at the doctors, why more than one scan has to be done, and then in the big seemingly inevitable fight, they're not just shouting at each other, but their faces, their voices, they make those moments about so much more than just the words they're saying.
Liam Neeson and Lesley Manville are both simply incredible in the quiet, unfussy, but no less detailed way in which they go about their work. For anyone as put off as I was by Manville's last major homegrown performance under Mike Leigh's direction the better part of a decade ago, or who thought Liam Neeson had long since ceased to take the thesping thing seriously after a decades worth of whooping ass for all kinds of reasons in all kinds of places, behold. They're a beautiful partnership here, the strength and depth of their relationship obvious from the very first scene as he grabs her on their walk and swings her around a tree, even when they're not saying anything you never doubt it for a second and when they are saying stuff they're elevating the screenplay in scene after scene.
It is their movie, they are the reason to watch it, they are the cinematic priests revealing god in the details of this lie lacking experience, unfurling the pang of ordinary life, the often painful difficulties of ordinary love illuminated on screen in their absolute bare bones normalcy.
