Frohe Weihnachten ~ Merry Christmas ~ Selamat Hari Natal

Christmas this year was really different than before. I never imagine that for gathering with Family and Friends on Christmas could be dangerous especially for the grandparents.

This year is my 3rd years I didnt go to Indonesia for Christmas. Sad ? Yeaa ofcourse !

Christmas is always something I look forward every years since I was kid.

My family in Indonesia have different traditional how to celebrate Christmas. We all families incl. Aunties, Onkels, all cousins would be all there and we cook so many foods, we pray, and we share. We always do it on 24th December and on 25th December we usually go for vacation or even maybe just go for swimming or picnik ( as in Indonesia we have warm season on Christmas :p).

Since I moved to Germany in 2018. I see some difference traditional Christmas between in Indonesia and Germany. I mean I totally love it how people in Germany celebrate it, espcially the christmasmarket !!!! But expecting to be home on Christmas always be on my first thought !

I hope to all people who are now far away from home you all are stay safe and healthy, keep smiling and you are not alone !! I know this is sad but it would be not forever....lets counting the blessing one by one, there is always something small we could still grateful.

Forever Wanderlust

“I want to achieve my dream!” That’s what i told myself when i left my hometown at the age of 16. I got accepted into an exchange program to The United States of America, a country where i had been longing to visit since when i was a 14 year-old boy that spending 90% of my childhood watching Disney Channel and dreaming of attending a school there.

“What's dream you’ve been talking about exactly?” that’s another thing i kept asking myself as well. At the time i didn’t know what it was. The only thing that i knew was i wanted to explore the world, i wanna be free.

Almost 10 years later, i’m living in Bangkok city. A city that’s full of excitement, diversity, and so many other things you could have imagined. But as fun as it is. I never for once stop thinking about traveling the world again. I miss that feeling of beginning. I miss the first time i visit new places, and i miss the joy when you first introduce yourself to strangers. Those things that kept me alive and has inspired me everyday.

Nowadays, i’m working really hard to save up some money to start off my new journey somewhere in this world working as a receptionist, Social media editor, Event planner. Well , I have a couple of cities in mind, don’t worry!  Actually there’s only one! This time i want to live in Los Angeles, California. Yes! A city of angel has been in my mind for 3-4 years now.  The reason why i want to live there i would talk about it in another blog.

Chasing your dream is not an easy journey but it would be worth it. I don’t wanna spend the rest of my life doing things that i hate waking up doing. I want to have a free and meaningful life, a life where i can wake up everyday to enjoy it.

#yardwork! 5 year old pic of #imperialbeachhottie and I aboard #AdventureforTwo our 1972 41' roughwater #powerboat 🛥! At the time of this picture we had been #livingaboard for 6 years and had 2 kids (hence my #dadbod) - we #hauled out and lived on stilts in the yard for a month so we could do a complete #topside restoration (hence my #dirtball appearance). It was a fun time a train came through the yard each night and we would watch with our @thomasthetrain obsessed 3 year old from our foredeck 20' up in the air! So yeah, secret's out: #bucketlistliving isn't really new to us. We've always made an adventure out of life, no matter what reality we were facing 🤠👰! Good training for #braintumorlife. 🚧 Well, we rode the incoming tidal flow upriver to Jacksonville but repairs to the Main Street vertical lift bridge, which were to be completed earlier this month, are still underway. What this means is that, instead of opening on demand, it is under a revised opening schedule abs we have to wait til noon to pass through. That's cool though, Liz is baking cookies. 🍪 It makes me think of the bridge scene in Monty Python's Search for the Grail though..."None shall pass!
