My sister has asked me many times to draw Fellow Honest, but I always avoided it because I tried to draw him once and it looked really bad. Now, though, since he is officially on the English server, I can’t avoid it, so here he is ready to pull some strings. Expect more puppet inspired posts soon.

Also, new event means new Sebcroc outfit! Even though Sebek isn’t in this event, I still had to give his croc counterpart some new duds. I’d love to draw him meeting Fellow Honest…maybe someday soon. Expect it to go as well as when he met Rollo 😂

To my beloved Gino:

In 1992, my family was entrusted with caring for you while your first dad went overseas. I stared into your bright little face with delight, and promised I would take care of you, and that we'd be best friends forever. Little did that seven year old know how true that would be.

When your first dad came back, he saw how close we'd bonded, and he couldn't separate us, so you became part of the family, and I was never separated from you for longer than three months.

The things you saw me through- the struggle of being a confused trans kid in rural Alabama dealing with all that entails; running away from home at 17 with only a few boxes of things because you were more important; bouts of homelessness, multiple trips across the country. You saw me through an UGLY divorce, my many diagnoses, and my transition.

You adapted to everything. You took your time taking the measure of my friends and significant others, and the one time I ignored your distaste for a boyfriend was the last time- I never second-guessed your judgement again after my ex husband. You took your own illnesses and conditions in stride. As long as we had each other, we were okay.

Your unconditional love gave me motivation and meaning to my life. Your bright, inquisitive, sassy personality never failed to amuse or endear me. Your adorable little face gave me reason to wake up and face the day. Just having you with me made everything better, bearable. The worst moods could be lightened, even if it was just a little bit, by your soft beeps or insistent pestering for scritches and snacks.

At the peak of my migraine problems, when I was bedbound for days at a time, unable to do anything but crawl out of bed to take care of you, you still showed unending love by breaking out of your cage to come sit by me, grinding your beak and preening my hair, because you loved me and were worried about me.

When I transitioned, I couldn't hit the notes I used to when singing to you, and you took it in stride and adjusted your song and beeps to match my changing voice. I was still your best friend, I just sounded different, and that was okay, because it didn't matter to you. You always loved me unconditionally.

Even when you had a stroke and lost the ability to fly, you still wanted to be with me, disability be damned. We were disabled together, cranky and tired together. You always wanted me nearby, and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I knew my time with you wasn't infinite, and all I could do was cherish every day I had left, however many that might have been.

36 is a long life for a cockatiel, and I knew I was blessed with every year past 25 that I had, and when you hit your thirties, I counted my blessings for every year after that that I got to spend with you.

That last night, I knew. I knew you were going to leave me, that it was your time, but even then, you didn't want to. You didn't want to be in your cage, you wanted to be on my chest, listening to my heartbeat as your own slowly faded. Even with your last breaths, you wanted to be with me, and you were cradled in my hands as you fell asleep for the last time.

The seven year old who looked into your face and promised that you'd be loved and cherished forever would NEVER have imagined you'd live so long, and stuck with me through so many ups and downs, but I like to think they'd be proud of how long and well you lived, and be comforted in the peaceful way you passed on.

I never could have asked for a better friend, a more devoted partner, a loving family member. I will never see your like again, and my life will forever be a little poorer, a little dimmer, a little less rich for your absence. I don't know how so much love and so much personality could fit in such a tiny feathery little body, but my life was so much better for having had you in it for so long.

I love you so much, Gino. I always will. I miss you so much, and you'll NEVER be forgotten.

Wait for me, Gino. I'll be with you again eventually, my precious friend, my sibling, my son, my beloved beeper.

I was rereading Stage in Playful Land and I noticed this part...! This is 4-7; Lilia and co. begin talking about how wonderful school is in an attempt to convince Fellow and Gidel to have a change of heart and release them. At first, Leona goes against what Lilia's saying and protests the value of school--BUT THEN YOU SEE HIM STOP... HIS FACE DOES A 180... Now, all of a sudden, Leona is agreeing with Lilia and singing his school experience praises. It took this guy only a few seconds to figure out the game plan (without Lilia having to spell it out for him) and change his tune to match it 💀 HE'S TOO BIG-BRAINED OML
