There are many web hosting companies to choose from if you're taking the plunge into making your own website with a comic content management system (CMS) like ComicControl or Grawlix, a Wordpress comic theme like Toocheke or ComicPress, or a HTML template to cut/paste code like Rarebit. While these solutions are generally free, finding a home for them is... generally not. It can be hard to choose what's best for your webcomic AND your budget!
We took a look at a few of the top hosting services used by webcomics creators using webcomic CMSes, and we put out a poll to ask your feedback about your hosts!
This post may be updated as time goes on as new services enter the hosting arena, or other important updates come to light.
Questions:
💻 I can get a free account with Wix/Squarespace/Carrd, could I just use those for my comic? - Web hosts like this may have gallery functions that could be adapted to display a series of pages, but they are very basic and not intended for webcomics.
📚 Wait, I host on Webtoon, Tapas, Comic Fury, or some other comic website, why are they not here? - Those are comic platforms! We'll get into those in a future post!
🕵️♀️Why does it say "shared hosting"? Who am I sharing with? - "Shared hosting" refers to sharing the server space with other customers. They will not have access to your files or anything, so it is perfectly fine to use for most comic CMSes. You may experience slowing if there is too much activity on a server, so if you're planning to host large files or more than 10 comics, you may want to upgrade to a more robust plan in the future.
Web Host List
Neocities
Basic plan pricing: Free or $5/month. Free plan has more restrictions (1 GB space, no custom domain, and slower bandwidth, among other things)
Notes: Neocities does not have database support for paid or free accounts, and most comic CMS solutions require this (ComicCtrl, Grawlix, Wordpress). You will need to work with HTML/CSS files directly to make a website and post each page.
Hostinger
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the 1st year. Free SSL Certifications. Weekly backups.
KnownHost
Basic plan pricing: $8.95/month or $7.99/month with four year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 4 year plans available).
Notes: Free DDOS protection. Free SSL Certifications.
InMotion Hosting
Basic plan pricing: $12.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free SSL Certifications, free domain names for 1 and 3 year plans. 24/7 live customer service and 90-day money-back guarantee. Inmotion also advertises eco-friendly policies: We are the first-ever Green Data Center in Los Angeles. We cut cooling costs by nearly 70 percent and reduce our carbon output by more than 2,000 tons per year.
Reviews:
👍“I can't remember it ever going down.”
👍“InMotion has a pretty extensive library full of various guides on setting up and managing websites, servers, domains, etc. Customer service is also fairly quick on responding to inquiries.” 👎“I wish it was a bit faster with loading pages.”
Ionos Hosting
Basic plan pricing: $8/month or $6/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2 and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain for the first year, free SSL Certification, Daily backup and recovery is included. Site Scan and Repair is free for the first 30 days and then is $6/month.
Reviews:
👍“Very fast and simple” 👎“Customer service is mediocre and I can't upload large files”
Bluehost
Basic plan pricing: $15.99/month or $4.95/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free domain and SSL certificates (for first year only). 24/7 Customer Service. Built to handle higher traffic websites. Although they specialize in Wordpress websites and provide updates automatically, that's almost a bad thing for webcomic plugins because they will often break your site. Their cloud hosting services are currently in early access with not much additional information available.
Reviews:
👎"The fees keep going up. Like I could drop $100 to cover a whole year, but now I'm paying nearly $100 for just three months. It's really upsetting."
👎"I have previously used Bluehost’s Wordpress hosting service and have had negative experiences with the service, so please consider with a grain of salt. I can confirm at least that their 24/7 customer service was great, although needed FAR too often."
Dreamhost
Basic plan pricing: $7.99/month or $5.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free SSL Certificates, 24/7 support with all plans, 97-day moneyback guarantee. Not recommended for ComicCtrl CMS
Reviews:
👍“They've automatically patched 2 security holes I created/allowed by mistake.” 👍“Prices are very reasonable” 👎 “back end kind of annoying to use” 👎 “wordpress has some issues” 👎 “it's not as customizable as some might want“
GoDaddy
Basic plan pricing: $11.99/month or $9.99/month with three year commitment (monthly, 1, 2, and 3 year plans available).
Notes: Free 24/7 Customer service with all plans, Free SSL Certificates for 1 year, free domain and site migration.
Reviews:
👍Reasonable intro prices for their Economy hosting, which has 25GB of storage 👍Migrated email hosting service from cPanel to Microsoft Office, which has greater support but may not be useful for most webcomic creators. 👎 Many site issues and then being upsold during customer service attempts. 👎 Server quality found lacking in reviews 👎 Marketing scandals in the past with a reputation for making ads in poor taste. Have been attempting to clean up that image in recent years. 👎 “GoDaddy is the McDonald's of web hosting. Maybe the Wal-Mart of hosting would be better. If your website was an object you would need a shelf to put it on. You go to Wal-Mart and buy a shelf. It's not great. It's not fancy. It can only hold that one thing. And if we're being honest - if the shelf broke and your website died it wouldn't be the end of the world. The issue comes when you don't realize GoDaddy is the Wal-Mart of hosting. You go and try to do things you could do with a quality shelf. Like, move it. Or add more things to it.” MyWorkAccountThisIs on Reddit*
Things to consider for any host:
💸 Introductory/promotional pricing - Many hosting companies offer free or inexpensive deals to get you in the door, and then raise the cost for these features after the first year or when you renew. The prices in this post are the base prices that you can expect to pay after the promotional prices end, but may get outdated, so you are encouraged to do your own research as well.
💻 Wordpress hosting - Many of the companies below will have a separate offering for Wordpress-optimized hosting that will keep you updated with the latest Wordpress releases. This is usually not necessary for webcomic creators, and can be the source of many site-breaking headaches when comic plugins have not caught up to the latest Wordpress releases.
Any basic hosting plan on this list will be fine with Wordpress, but expect to stop or revert Wordpress versions if you go with this as your CMS.
🤝 You don't have to go it alone - While free hosts may be more limited, paid hosting on a web server will generally allow you to create different subdomains, or attach additional purchased domains to any folders you make. If you have other comic-making friends you know and trust, you can share your server space and split the cost!
Want to share your experience?
Feel free to contribute your hosting pros, cons, and quirks on our survey! We will be updating our list periodically with your feedback!

I bought it because I like pain I guess
TS2:
Initial load up was fast
Intro video still loud as fuck
Shadows are permanently off
Graphics can be scaled up to highest screen resolution, smooth edges etc
Refresh rate 48 the only option available, animations smooth without stuttering
Seemed only fitting to start out with the Goths. A slight hang on the 4th column of icons like always when loading but otherwise fast
Tool tips, neighbourhood stories, sim bio etc all unchanged. Graphics and assets unchanged (except Ikea stuff is missing - RIP)
Zoom levels, camera, lighting no visible change
I have a migraine so may not be coherent
Uh oh, stuttering during a scripted event
Worth noting that my laptop is old and has been on for over 24 hours with another game loaded up - my other version of the game would 100% have not worked until I restarted my entire laptop
On that note my laptop is not searing me alive like it did previously
I can't seem to use the middle mouse button to rotate the camera. Was that a mod?
Shadows have automatically turned on now? And the option is no longer grayed out. Weird
Cassandra and Don just got married
I minimised the game from full screen and reopened the window, it took a couple of seconds to load but didn't crash
My husband has asked what snacks I want for our gaming night, this is very important
Stress testing minimise and reopen. This is hurting my head. The game hasn't crashed at all
My kids are watching in interest. "Good job" says the youngest. We shall see
Cheats still work and all of the same options seem to be there
I've chosen 'invite all neighbours'. It stuttered as they loaded in but did not freeze as my previous game would have
Darren is NOT amused that Cassandra is married
Sorry my husband came home and I had to rip myself away temporarily
Middle button rotate is back? Not sure why this stuff is kicking in as I play
My husband said "holy shit it's not crashed yet"
Could be because I don't have 50GB of CC... yet
Running smooth as butter with 20+ sims
Don set fire to the kitchen - no lag loading in the fire engine etc
The documents folder is called The Sims 2 Legacy
Layout inside the documents is the same
Programme files are categorised TS4 style but the contents seem similar? I'm not a modder but there's still neighbourhood templates etc
Loading the bin families up took 2 seconds
CAS loaded up quick
Swapping heads really fast and overloading it with clicks - it lagged but didn't crash
Hair and outfits loading notably faster, moving through catalogues quicker
Still not stutter or lag free though, definitely still waiting for those cache and thumbnail files to fill and load up
So far it does seem to run better vs my old vanilla game. There might genuinely have been some work done on it.
Store CAS stuff isn't included
Loaded in to a new lot quickly
I've filled a 64x64 lot with chairs as homage to LGR. It hasn't crashed
I've made a gigantic household using the tombstone of life and death - the frame rate has dropped a bit, but it's handling it pretty well. I definitely would have had pink soup by now usually. Lots of audio didn't play errors in the cheat console but I think that's because of how many sims there are.
Gun's camera mod is working, also it let me replace the files without closing down the game? And the new cameras worked instantly without restarting. Could you always do that?
My eye and skin defaults still work
Put a few hacks in and they didnt immediately crash everything
I've closed and reloaded the game several times in a row and no crashes, it loads into the neighbourhood faster now that it's gotten past the first load lag
CC required a restart to load in
Overall I played mostly vanilla for 5 hours with no crashes or pink soup. This was while the Sims 1 amd Dragon age installed in the background and I had a few web pages open. My previous game with no CC wouldn't have even loaded up under those conditions in the past so to play for so long was incredible.
I'm sure as I add CC back in it will slow down again and the pink soup will return but all in all I feel there is a definite improvement in this version on my setup specifically (beat up old gaming laptop with shit ram).

You don't like webp? You don't like my friend webp? You hate her despite all she has done to reduce web page sizes so they load faster and eat less bandwidth?
Would you rather hang out with avif instead? Would you like that? Would you let avif into your ethernet cable and into your heart?

Out of curiousity, what would putting a website on piermesh be like / entail...?
If the regular web can be accessed as well, how is a piermesh-specific site different?
Apologies if I'm misunderstanding, I'm only just getting into programming / web dev :]
First, just for anyone interested: a site on PierMesh is called a Catch for themeing reasons
More to the point, at the moment putting a website on PierMesh is just:
Make sure all your content is inlined to one html page
Copy paste the code into the web client
Sharing the link to your page
The difference between a regular site and a PierMesh site at the moment to a normal web dev is mainly that you have more freedom in setting your link (any utf-8 characters are allowed) and that we ask that PierMesh sites be lightweight. But there's a lot more coming, WASM (WebAssembly) based site logic enabling Rust and Python based sites, cdn like site duplication across (operator*) nodes for faster access and distributed indexing to name a few. Also typically a PierMesh site will load faster, maintain more features and will be more reliable on PierMesh then a normal site because the Hopper/proxying functionality just scrapes the page and provides that to you (though it does automatically inline some content) which can be heavy on the PierMesh network and have buggy JS interactions depending on the site.
Tumblr refuses to let me start a line with an asterisk without turning it into a bullet point so the detail here on the operator note is that operator nodes are intended to be more static, higher throughput nodes as opposed to a single user setup.
Thanks for the question, let me know if you have any follow ups

It’s such a trivial thing, but I will never not be kinda pissed off when I open a web page and the ads load way faster than the actual content.
yes I have an adblocker on my laptop but not on my phone yet ok I’ll get to it

How can progressive web apps benefit online stores?
PWA Development Services
In the fast-moving world of eCommerce, providing a smooth and engaging customer experience and offering is key to success and achievement. This is where PWA Development (Progressive Web App Development) comes in. PWAs combine and merge the best of web and mobile apps into one system as its support to offer online stores powerful functionality, enhanced speed, and user-focused experiences—all without the need for a traditional app download.
Improved Loading Speed -
Online shoppers expect quick load times. If a website is slow, they’ll likely abandon it. PWA Development assures that lightning-fast performance by caching content efficiently as its helps users to stay on the app. This means pages load instantly, even on slower networks, keeping visitors engaged and reducing bounce rates of the app or portal.
Mobile-Like Experience Without the App Store -
PWAs behave just like native mobile apps— as the users can install and save them directly from the browser and access them from their home screen with ease. For online stores, this eliminates the friction of going through app stores by increasing the chances of user retention and repeating the amount or number of visits.
Offline Functionality -
A key benefit of PWA Development is offline access. Customers can continue to browse products or even complete transactions when they're temporarily disconnected from the internet. As this add-on feature is especially useful for users in the areas with unstable connectivity and helps the businesses to retain their potential buyers.
Better Conversion Rates -
The seamless performance and driven approach and app-like experience of PWAs lead and drive towards improved user engagement and ultimately sees higher conversions. PWAs minimize and lower barriers like slow checkout processes or poor navigation, ensuring customers move smoothly from browsing to purchasing and get a sale ticket generated or conversion.
Lower Development Costs -
Developing separate apps or platforms for iOS and Android is costly and time-consuming. PWA Development allows online retailers to craft a single and one handheld application that works and is supported across all platforms and devices, drastically reducing the development time and costs. PWA Development is helping online stores evolve by offering faster, more reliable, and engaging shopping experiences. Trusted companies like Suma Soft, IBM, Cyntexa, and Cignex specialize in building custom PWAs that cater to unique business goals—helping online retailers grow, retain customers and users, and stay competitive and dominant in the digital marketplace and industry with its smooth implementation.

AA Clint Barton x Reader
Part 11: Crack in the system
It’s been a crazy month for us at Avengers tower. We’ve been collecting the six infinity stones making sure they didn’t end up in an evil aliens hands, his name was Thanos and I’ve never been more scared in my life. Once we defeated him the contingency plan was to have Tony’s robot Arsenal hold the stones powers to keep them away from anyone who wanted that power. But Arsenal turned into Ultron who faced the team before in the past. That was a week ago and we’ve heard nothing about Ultron for a while and it’s making me uneasy how everyone is so calm about this. I can tell Cap feels the same way, and it’s starting to cause strain between him and Tony. Right now we’re having a barbecue on the roof and Thor uses his lightning as a power source to cook the meat faster. I’m on the side sitting in the shade of an umbrella I brought reading a book. “Aw come on!” I hear Clint complain and when I look over at his direction I see Hulk has eaten all the hotdogs.
I chuckle and go back to my book. “There’s nothing sadder than a hungry man whose hot dog just got hulked.” I mutter under my breath. I read a few more pages of my book and feel someone sit next to me. When I look over to them I notice it’s Natasha. “Hey Nat, what’s up?” I say with a smile.
She gives a small smile back, when I joined she always gave me the cold shoulder but now that I’ve been on the team for a year she’s warmed up to me. “Oh nothing much. I just wanted to know what you and Clint are doing for your anniversary.”
“Shit, it’s been a year already?” My smile gets bigger at the thought, I set my book to the side and sit up. It feels like yesterday when me and Clint got together, now we’re heading into our one year together. “Honestly I have no idea. I wasn’t even sure on what to get him.”
“You’ve got him wrapped around your finger, I’m sure if you got him a rock he’d be happy.” Her words get me to laugh a little, but it’s true. Clint would definitely be happy with anything. “And just a heads up he’s totally going to make your anniversary memorable.” I believe her for that, every date me and Clint have been on he’s put more effort into our dates than my ex ever did. Honestly I’m more excited for this than I was for anything in my past.
Multiple explosions interrupt our peace and me and Nat go to join the rest of the team to look down at the city to see what’s causing the explosions. What we see catches me off guard, it’s a giant robot walking on four legs heading towards the tower. “Mission- Destroy Avengers.” It says loudly and shoots a small missile at the building causing it to shake.
The machine starts to climb onto the building and Tony takes off in his suit while Cap is on a hover cycle. I take my web shooters out of my pockets and put them onto my wrists while loading them with new webbing. “Quick, vicious, and concise. This has all the signs of an Ultron attack.” I say as Clint pulls out his bow and arrow.
Clint points it at the machine with the red light shinning on the end of the arrow. “I wouldn’t bet against Tony’s tech.”
“I thought Ultron was locked in Arsenal’s body.” Sam says from above with his wing pack on. He throws some of his wings down onto the machine but it does little damage.
“He’s an artificial intelligence that works like a computer virus.” Cap’s voice comes through on our coms. “He can take over all kinds of tech.” Cap throws his shield at the machine and it bounces off and flies back to him.
“If there’s a chance this is Ultron, shouldn’t we treat it like it is, you know just in case?” Sam asks as he makes his way down to join Cap and Tony.
“For fun let’s pretend it is. Activating Ultron protocols.” Tony’s command makes the whole building go into lockdown mode. “All tower data access is shut down.
“What about your suit?” I press on the button on the com in my ear to talk to Tony.
“Of course. I’m now a completely isolated local system.” Tony says.
Sam throws more wings at the machine. “And the rest of us?”
“Ultron can infiltrate anything tech,” Tony starts. “So make sure you don’t get into a game of tag, your it.” Tony shoots some missiles at the machine and it does more damage.
“Don’t have to remind me not to play games.” Cap jumps off his cycle and lets it crash into the machine. He succeeds in landing on it and uses his shield to destroy any of the rays blasting at him. The machine gets the better of him by blasting him from behind making Cap fall, but thankfully Sam catches him. It continues its ascend to the top of the tower.
Thor flies down the tower with his hammer and starts hitting the machine. “In Asgard, the penalties for going where you are not invited are harsh.” Thor is able to knock the machine down so it’s not as high as it was.
“That’s right buddy. Find your own barbecue.” Clint says as he shoots the ice arrow at the machine. This makes it fall to the ground but it shoots out one last beam at the tower where me, Nat, and Clint were standing.
The ground beneath us crumbles and we fall along with the robot. I shoot my webs at the robot and pull my self on top of one of its guns. “Here’s a tip: Don’t taunt the robot!”
“Lesson learned.” Clint says as we land harshly on the ground. The robot charges at Clint and before I can move Hulk makes his way and stops the robot before it could do more damage. “This does not make up for stealing all the hot dogs.” Hulk throws the machine far enough back for him and Clint to dodge any of its blasts.
Sam flies above the robot and scans for weaknesses. “The shielding is vulnerable in the middle of the legs. Let’s cut this thing off at the knees.”
“Already on it.” I run towards the robot and shoot a web near its knee. Nat hands me a small explosive as I pull myself onto the robot. I have enough time to stick it to the knee and get off of it just in time as Thor, Tony and Clint find ways to destroy the knees as well. There are four explosions and the robot lays on the ground defeated.
Tony lands on the ground safely and we all gather around him. “If this had been an Ultron attack, my app would have picked it up a mile away.” I am so tired of hearing about this so called great app he’s been working on, it keeps everything in me to not roll my eyes at him.
“Ultron’s more than just a computer virus.” Sam says. “He’s smart. Could he figure out a way to fool your detector?”
“Of course not, I created it.” There Tony goes again. But his next words make me really question him. “Whose side are you on?”
“Sam’s got a point.” Cap says stepping forward. “Anything you can throw at Ultron, he can throw right back.”
“You guys act like I’ve never met Ultron before.” Tony says sounding so sure of himself. “My app compensates for his smarts. Remember, he’s not the only high tech villain out there who wants to take down the avengers.” Tony walks over to the robot and takes out its main computer system and turns back to us with it in hand. “Let’s find out who sent this party crasher.”
—————
“You ok babe?” Clint asks me as we make our way back to the tower.
“Hmm? Yeah I’m fine.” I cross my arms and continue to walk as the team makes their way to Tony’s lab.
Clint wraps an arm around my shoulders and stops me from walking. Once the team is in Tony’s lab he speaks in a hushed tone. “Are you sure? Because you only cross your arms when you’re deep in thought. Talk to me.” He rubs his thumb lightly on my shoulders and it relaxes me a little.
“Have you noticed that Cap and Tony have some tension between them?”
His eyebrows furrow at my question and I bite my lip thinking I was just being paranoid. He notices this and gives me a reassuring smile. “Yeah there might be some tension. But this is Cap and Tony, they’ll work things out.” I give him a look that silently tells him I don’t believe him. “I know you’ve only been on the team for a little over a year now but I’ve been working with them for years there’s always going to be some tension.”
I uncross my arms and run a hand through my hair letting out a small sigh. “Yeah you’re right. I guess it’s just me still getting used to being on a team.”
Clint smiles and takes my hand in his and leads me to Tony’s lab. “Trust me this tension will cease to exist in no time.”
As we walk into the lab we see the team surrounding a screen with the computer system from the robot projected. “I’ll trust your app can detect Ultron,” Cap says. “But once we detect him, can we stop him?”
“I wouldn’t be a very good Tony Stark if I hadn’t thought of that.” Tony walks over to the screen and presses a few buttons which brings up an image of a triangle with a circle in the middle and three on the outside. “This piece of malware is the Ultron Destroyer. I’ll give you one guess what it does.”
“And he’s just going to invite you into his system to install it?” Nat asks placing a hand on her hip.
“That’s the beauty of having back door access to Arsenal.” Tony says with a smile. “The second Ultron shows I upload this and the Ultron intelligence goes bye, bye.”
“Will Arsenal survive?” I ask getting closer to Tony. I knew that the robot meant a lot to him, his father programmed that for him after all.
“Unlikely.” His smile falls a little but I can tell he’s keeping the pain down.
“Are you sure you’ll be able to pull the trigger?” Nat asks with concern. “Maybe someone else should hang onto the Ultron Destroyer.”
“Nay!” Thor immediately protests. “Arsenal is Stark’s father’s legacy. If someone must destroy the machine, it should be Stark. It is a matter of family honor.”
“I’ll do what I have to do.” Tony says.
We all look at each other not sure if he’s really ok with that. After a minute Sam speaks up. “You sure, Tony?”
Before Tony could answer Cap speaks. “Enough. He’s an avenger. If you say you can handle it, I believe you.”
“Thanks Cap.” Tony says gently. Clint nudges my elbow and smiles at me as if saying ‘I told you so’.
Sam looks at the computer part and brings up two new screens. “Tony you were right. The circuitry on this thing is specific to one manufacturer.”
Nat goes over and combines the two screens bringing up a new circuit board. “Hammer Industries. And this models only manufactured at one facility.” I internally shudder at the thought of seeing Justin Hammer again. The last time we met he was a bit of a creep.
“Well you can’t teach an old Justin Hammer new tricks.” Tony’s usual smile returned to his face. “And I’m not waiting for an invitation.”
—————
It doesn’t take long for us to get to Hammer’s old facility with the Avenjet. It’s the same one we came to when he built the Adaptoid, but he moved sometime ago. “How long has it been since Hammer used this place?” I ask.
“Government intelligence says the place is still active.” Nat answers.
Clint crosses his arms with a smile and looks at Nat. “Looks like your intelligence isn’t so intelligent, guess Hammer shut everything down and ran.”
There’s a loud explosion from the buildings roof, then a giant robot lands in front of us with a red color scheme. Next a bunch of little robots join at its side and Nat gives Clint an offensive look. “Don’t ever question my intelligence.”
“Point taken.” Clint says as he draws his bow and arrow.
The robots begin to fire at us and the team dodges as much as they can. I shoot some webbing at a small group of them but their blasts easily cut through them. “Hammer’s never been this aggressive. He’s changed his tactics.” Cap points out as he uses his shield to knock down the robots I shot my webs at. “Focus your attacks on the big guy. Looks like he’s controlling the rest of them.”
“And it looks like there’s somebody inside of it.” Sam says as he scans the big robot.
“Could Hammer be trying a version of his own Iron man suit?” I ask Tony as the robots begin to fire at us again. I try jumping onto one of the robots but it flings me into the facility making me hit my head. Clint finishes off his own group of robots and runs over to help me up.
Tony scoffs. “Figures. Hammer wouldn’t risk the time and money to develop his own design if he could steal someone else’s. Usually mine.” He flies over to the giant robot and shoots his own repulser beams.
“Break these dreadnoughts apart. If they’re in pieces Hammer can’t control them.” Cap orders to the team. We’re able to knock a few of them out on our own but more just come our way.
Tony is able to get the giant robot down and there’s a window for us to see Hammer in it. “Stark, help. Get me out of this thing.” Hammer sounded desperate.
“What?” Before Tony could question anything further the robots begin stands again and knocks him into the building.
“That wasn’t me. My robots just started acting on their own.” The robot continues to stand straighter as the rest of us surround it not letting our guards down. “This experimental battle armor formed around me and I’m trapped in here. I can’t control anything.”
“Yeah, what about the giant robot that attacked Avengers tower?” Sam asks as he lands next to me.
The robot throws a punch put way but we easily dodge it. “That’s where it went?” Hammer asks sounding genuinely confused.
“Why should we trust you?” Cap asks.
I see Nat hacking into one of the robots and a screen pops up showing that Hammer is telling the truth. “He’s telling the truth.”
On the coms I hear Tony speak. “Imagine that, Hammer not lying.”
“Hammer’s got this whole place on a closed network.” Sam says. “If we blast the source, it’ll fry computers dreadnoughts, the big guy, everything.”
“No! I asked you to help, not destroy my entire company.” Hammer immediately goes against what we’re planning. The robots we
“This isn’t a corporate negotiation.” Tony says seriously. “Thor, impress us with your grilling skills.”
“Everyone loves a cookout.” Thor smiles and waves his hammer in the air. Once it’s charged enough he slams it to the ground causing the ground to shake and the lightning to fry all the robots.
“I’m ruined.” Hammer says as the robot he’s in falls to its knees. “You’ll answer to my board Stark.” Tony walks over to him and helps Hammer out of the contraption. “I’ll own Stark Industries after this.”
“I’ve never heard anyone say thank you like that before.” Tony says. “And before anyone asks again, no this wasn’t Ultron. All tech has a signature if you know how to trace it.” We all gather around Tony and Nat brings up a screen on her blasters to see what Tony sees. “This one for example leads right to-“
“A.I.M.” Nat finishes for him. “It’s not in Shield files, it must be a secret base.”
“Advance Idea Mechanics, evil tech organization not connected to Ultron.” Tony objects believing Nat was wrong.

We end up flying the Avenjet to the coordinates anyway despite Tony’s protests. We end up arriving on a deserted island with Nat leading the way. “Why do evil scientists always live on beautiful tropical islands?” Clint mutters to himself. “Why don’t we live on a beautiful tropical island?”
“Tropical islands don’t have pizza, remember? We went over this.” I tell him with a smile and he matches mine.
“The main base has a blind side.” Nat states interrupting our conversation. “There’s no entrance so it’s not guarded. But scans indicate a weak spot in the exterior wall.”
“So we blast our way in.” Clint says.
“No, smash.” Hulk says putting his fist into his palm.
Cap quickly shuts down those ideas. “We can’t be reckless. A.I.M will have defenses at the ready.”
“And despite Tony’s confidence,” I say. “I still think Ultron could be behind this.”
Thor immediately comes to Tony’s defense. “Tony Stark would never be outsmarted by a mere robot. Hulk on the other hand-“ Thor gestures to Hulk and he responds by hitting the tree they stand by making a coconut fall on Thor’s head his helmet protecting him.
We continue to walk towards where we think the hideout is with Cap leading us this time. “A.I.M had the advantage of an entrenched position. We’re better off splitting up and targeting all sides at once.”
“Why play it safe?” Clint questions. “Sorry Cap, I think I’m on Tony’s side.”
I raise an eyebrow at Clint’s confession. “Again, there are sides?” I could never choose between Cap or Tony, I’ve always been able to work on both their plans. But his words somehow send a gust of betrayal my way.
He gives me a regretful look, but he doesn’t get to say anything because a voice interrupts our conversation. “There are always sides.” We look around and are already on guard. We don’t see him anywhere but his voice is everywhere. “And humans are on the losing one.” Guns begin to pop out of nowhere and point in our direction, most of them with a screen and Ultron’s face on them. “The Avengers’ organic data is to be purged.”
“You said your scanners didn’t detect him.” Cap says to Tony. Tony doesn’t at all respond to what Cap says, nor does he respond to the guns firing at us.
“So much for your Ultron detector, Tony.” Nat says.
“Told you Ultron could find a way to trick the system.” Sam says.
I shoot some of my webs at the guns to stop them from firing, while Clint shoots whatever arrows he has at the ones on my opposite end. “Now’s not really the time for I-told-you-so’s.” Clint says and we both duck at a some new firing coming our way.
“Hulk can you get me to hire ground.” Clint asks.
“What do you think?” Hulk asks as he takes Clint and jumps to a higher place.
I make my way to Tony who’s not making a move to avoid the firing. “You knew Ultron was here, didn’t you?” My voice comes out more harsh than I intended.
“Look I had a suspicion, but it was only a faint reading. He’s outsmarting my detector.” Tony says and it’s hard to tell what he’s thinking when he has his suit on.
Cap comes over and covers us with his shield. “If you know where he is, then upload the Ultron Destroyer.”
“I can’t he’s evading my scans.” Tony uses his repulser to fire back at the guns. “I need to make physical contact with his body. Back me up.”
“Get to the base, we’ll cover you.” I say putting as much trust as I can into Tony. At this point I don’t know if I can trust him anymore. If he knew something he should’ve said something.
—————
It didn’t take long for us to finish up outside and follow Tony into the base. When we get there Tony is on the ground being smashed by giant mechanical snakes controlled by Ultron who’s hooked up to a machine. “Tony, you get Ultron we’ll take care of the snakes.” Cap says.
Ultron unplugs from the machine and flies towards Tony as he does the same. We fight the snakes without many problems but as we fight I look over and Tony is loosing to Ultron. When Cap finishes with his snake he throws his shield at Ultron and calls out to him. “You fight one of us, you fight us all.”
“Very well.” Ultron says as he flies down and attacks all of us one by one while Tony hangs from the wires Ultron was just at. I shoot some webs over his eyes but it does no good, he takes the webs off his eyes like it’s nothing and knocks me to the side. Clint shoots several explosive arrows but it does no damage. “Loyalty or a lost cause appears admirable to you humans.” Ultron blasts Clint knocking him down next to me. “In reality, it is inefficient.”
“I’ll choose loyalty over efficiency any day.” Cap says as he throws his shield at Ultron.
Hulk joins his side and throws Ultron to the side. “I’m with Cap.”
We all do our best to fight off Ultron as Tony is able to free himself from the wires. With our combined attacks we’re able to do some damage to Ultron, but it’s not enough. Ultron holds out his hands getting ready to blast us. “Seven human viruses ready to be eradicated.”
“Something about humanity you’ll never understand, Ultron.” Cap says as he slowly gets off the ground.
“Enlighten me.” Ultron says as his hands get brighter.
I see Tony in the background grab his Ultron Destroyer from the ground and quietly makes his way towards Ultron. Cap continues his speech. “Friends, they always have your back.” Just as he finished Tony snuck behind Ultron and placed the destroyer on his back causing Ultron to fall to the ground. Tony presses a button on his device making Cap and the rest of us worried. Cap is the first to approach him. “What are you doing Tony? You destroyed Ultron, right?”
“Not exactly.” Tony says with no other elaboration.
“How not exactly are we talking here?” I ask stepping closer to stand next to Cap.
“I didn’t use the Ultron Destroyer to its full potential, only about 95% should knock out Ultron long enough to save Arsenal.” Tony says as he continues to work.
My eyes widen at Tony’s words. He said he could do it and completely lied to our faces. “Tony, you assured us you would take down Ultron when you found him.” Cap says feeling just as infuriated as I am.
“No I assured you I would do what was necessary. I can fix this.” Tony says.
“We know Arsenal is important to you,” I say stepping in with urgency in my voice. “But we’re talking about the safety of the world here.”
“I need you to trust me. I can stop Ultron and save Arsenal.” Tony get’s deeper into Arsenal’s motherboard.
“Just fry him now before he reboots.” I say growing angry.
“Nat how many times does Tony have to save the planet before you trust him?” Clint said joining the conversation. “He’s got this.” I can’t believe he’s ok with this. I know I should trust Tony but this feels like everything is being torn apart in front of me.
“Just eleven more seconds.” Arsenals voice comes through with a ‘Hello Tony’ followed bu Ultron’s ‘Goodbye Tony’. Ultron blasts Tony sending him flying back towards us.
“Pathetic human emotions have rendered you ineffective, Stark.” Ultron says as he stands to his full height fully recovered. “Ultron lives.” He presses a button on his wrist causing a self destruct system to the base. He’s able to escape through a trap door in the floor leaving us in the building.
“There’s no time to track him.” Cap says with urgency in his voice. “Avengers pull back.”
“Way ahead of you Cap.” Nat says as she presses some buttons on her stingers. “Avenjet’s on its way.” The Avenjet gets there in time and we’re able to get in and escape the base as it explodes behind us.
—————
When we get back to the tower Cap and Tony have an argument which causes Cap to quit the team. I’ve never seen anything this bad with them, there’s no trust anymore with Tony and I don’t know how to feel about that. As I make my way to my room I remember that Clint sided with Tony the whole time, and while I loved the man- wait do I love him? Of course I do, but today’s been exhausted and I can’t even think about telling him that now, especially when he sided with Tony. I reach for the handle of my door when I hear my name. “Hey Spidey.” I turn around and see Clint with a sheepish smile on his face. “Can we talk? I know today’s been exhausting but I wanted to explain myself for earlier.”
“Yeah we can talk.”
“I just want you know, no matter what happens between the team I don’t want it to affect us. I mean who knows how bad it could get with them, but when it comes to you I don’t want to lose you.” I can hear the genuine concern in his voice and after today I needed to hear those words. “Plus it’d be pretty sucky if we broke up before our anniversary.” He laughs softly and I join him on that.
“I agree, and I don’t want what the team’s going through to screw us up either. Just promise you wont side against me.”
He takes my hand and raises it and presses a small kiss to the back of it. “I promise.”

Hiiii ( ノ^ω^)ノ
Firstly, AHHHHHHHH I'm so glad you're watching Bungou Stray Dogs and you're enjoying it!!!
Secondly, I'm very curious about your favorite characters and ships from BSD 🧐
omg hiiii!! thank you for popping by the inbox 🥺
i was actually *just* looking thru my bsd tag (cause i wanted to see what i'd reblogged before without having watched it yet) and i saw that i reblogged a skk art from you in april of last year and tagged "i seriously should start this soon." lo and behold, it took a good 9 months before i actually did... (it's like haikyuu all over again with the horrible turnaround time) 😩 but better late than never!
i think i put off on starting it because my sister and one of my other friends told me they tried it and couldn't get into it. but once i started i was immediately in love!! i knew dazai was gonna be like gojo where like the handsome slightly older mentor guy kinda steals the show (i remember when i first started seeing bsd around the internet, the only memorable character was dazai. like i didn't even know who atsushi was) but yeah the dynamic between kunikida and dazai even in the first episode was sooo funny i was so confused as to how my sister and my friend dropped it?? i could've been hyperfixating and scouring the web for bsd content this whole time if i'd started earlier bruh i'm so mad
i'm trying not to overwhelm the dash with all my bsd posting but my queue has been 200+ posts since finishing the show a few weeks ago and over half of it is bsd. i thought i'd get through it faster actually since each season only has around 12 eps and there's only one movie, but i'm glad i took the time to savor all of it because it's *chef's kiss*
sorry i hate to be that recipe page that goes into a full backstory before getting into the actual recipe BUT this is indeed a loaded question. so hard because i love a lot of the characters but of course some more than others. will try to be brief with explanations but no promises lol
characters
absolutely love
ranpo: he is a talented, smart boy and he knows it!! his unapologetic-ness about who he is is so lovable. i can't believe this guy is also levi from aot 💀 there's definitely a resemblance with takeda-sensei though. but anyway, character design is top tier, his personality might be considered annoying to some but i enjoy how unconventional he is and he absolutely deserves all the respect and love he gets!!
chuuya: he's so cool when you first get introduced to him and the chemistry with dazai is insane. the back track they play for corruption is uNmatCHED. truly enhances his vibe 10x (he is so cool ahhh 😭). i might also be biased because he has the same va as jean from aot who i'm also in love with so there's that but he's such a fiery character and he stands out. i enjoy his character so much i can't really explain it
sigma: i kept seeing this name before i got to know him in S5 and i always thought he was going to be a major villain but he's actually so relatable??? like the anxiety, the lack of direction/purpose he feels in life, the desire to have something to protect, the wanting to belong somewhere. confused 90% of the time. this man just needs a hug, some direction, and a real friend. i love his color palette, the half-white, half-lavender is so pretty (they're some of my fav colors so)
really like
kunikida: a good man. gives me nanami vibes. a single mom who works two jobs and probably one of the only reasons the ADA can stay in business lmao. well-deserved second-in-command position. high standards for everyone and for himself which i appreciate. does what's right even when the world is working against him. where are the guys like him irl 😭
dazai: the most unserious man on the planet but somehow has one of the most op abilities. gojo energy for sure. but the person he became after odasaku is so admirable. i love how even though he is mostly a clown, he still plays his part (which happens to be huge in the org) and takes being a good person seriously
yosano: a badass, but not uncaring at all. she's seen some horrible shit, but i love how she was able to work through all the trauma that she endured (when she was literally!! a preteen!!) and still came out the other side a wonderful human being. i'm glad she had the ADA and all the support they gave to help her heal properly. the butterflies are such a beautiful motif for her. she deserves the world honestly
kenji: my son. he is so cute and wholesome. he is a simple boy with a simple way of life and it's so funny to me that the ADA is like a side gig for him. my favorite country bumpkin <3
fukuzawa: father to everyone in the agency basically. i think his integrity, strength in his beliefs, and ability to uphold his ideals makes people naturally gravitate toward him, and thus what makes him an optimal leader. i loved his backstory and the introspection he did to realize he needed to change. and how taking in ranpo was the catalyst for a very symbiotic and lovely relationship. he is caring and despite having seen/done many horrible things, he never lets go of his humanity, but instead wants to protect others because of it. i appreciate that
edgar allan poe: just a fanboy at heart. it's so funny to me how he has all these resources and is actually so powerful because of his ability, his connections, and his smarts, but at the end of the day, he mostly just wants to hang out with karl and ranpo 😭 the social anxiety is also relatable (getting scared at his own phone ringing cause "no one ever calls me" is such a mood) LMAO
hirotsu: a man of few words but large presence. i think he's the type of guy who does bad things but deep down is a good person. and he's loyal to the org but mostly to those he grows to care about. i also like his voice a lot!! could literally lull me to sleep, it's very relaxing
mori: i don't love his ability/whatever the situation is with the little girl elise, and i also don't condone a lot of the things we learned about his past (and ESP his abuse of yosano) BUT. i think he's a very interesting character and definitely a charismatic and effective leader. he's smart and thinks about things carefully. ultimately, his understanding and beliefs about what a leader is is what gets him the respect of all those in the port mafia and i respect that too. i also enjoy how he's voiced!! i think his va does a great job of portraying his calm demeanor/calculating nature. he understands proper bedside manner i suppose
like but only in dynamic with others
kyoka (with atsushi): the cutest!! but i feel like other than like her initiation where she does show some personality (and violent tendencies lmao), after she officially joins the agency, she's mostly just atsushi's sidekick who may or may not have a crush on him. but i love how much they care for each other. i feel like it's neither romantic nor platonic, but like both? but also neither. a secret third thing LMAO
bram (with the lil girl aya): i recognized nanami's va immediately!! and the situation he was in when we first meet him is tragic but also sooo funny 😭 i'm pretty sure one of the first bsd things i reblogged was of him and this scene lmao. i don't feel any sort of way about him, but when i saw how he interacted with the little girl 🥺 ahhh
fyodor (with dazai): he's what i would deem a psychopath, and probably what dazai could've been if he continued doing bad stuff. but i also feel like he's a lot more sinister and ruthless than dazai, so when they're having conversations in their shared jail cell it's so funny because they talk so casually about really messed up things, but also kinda creepy because of how deep they can get into each other's minds (because their brains are cut from the same cloth)
atsushi/akutagawa: individually, i am okay with both of them but i'm not in love with them or anything. put together, i still don't see dazai's vision of them being the "new twin dark" but it is pretty cool to see when they do cooperate with one another (on the very rare occasion lol). although i feel like it's mostly akutagawa that's unwillling. idk if it's just the animation style but their character designs look kinda similar?? in terms of build and face at least. the symmetry and the red/black and blue/white contrast in the show does scratch an itch for me though. it's so satisfying to see them fight together
jono/tecchou: at first i didn't understand these two,,.,. and i wasn't a fan of jono cause he was weirdly sadistic?? which sucked cause i normally love the characters his va plays. but yeah i couldn't get a read on this guy and he was also oddly sinister and unlikable imo. and tecchou is just a himbo. like REALLY stupid (which is kinda funny, but also like damn if this man was left stranded on an island by himself or something he would die within a day. zero common sense or survival instinct [unless it comes to fighting of course]). after tecchou's confession about jono though, and him conceding to kenji, and ALSO jono defying his superior to do the right thing (was not expecting that given his personality.,,.), i warmed up to both of them a little bit more. seems like they do care about each other after all (despite jono's outward distaste towards tecchou lmao)
in terms of ships!! other than chuuya and dazai (there is simply no heterosexual explanation for their relationship. i was watching dead apple and my sister happened to be hanging around so she caught the part where chuuya comes back to punch dazai in the face to save him and she was just floored at how gay that whole thing was), i don't ship anyone super hardcore. one thing i love is that all the characters have really good dynamics with each other, and i really enjoy the playful nature that the ADA has within themselves but also with others outside the organization (except kunikida and fukuzawa, of course, who are pretty serious. but they have all my respect for being the parents that hold down the fort)
ships/dynamics
chuuya/dazai: see above. when we first meet chuuya, the two of them already give off such divorced energy i just. love them (as does everyone else lmao). their fighting chemistry is unmatched because they know each other like the back of their own hands. it drives me insane
kunikida/dazai: very obvious they have a typical bickering kind of dynamic but after seeing how well they work together despite their very different personalities, 1) so much respect to kunikida for putting up with dazai's bullshit on the daily and 2) i don't really see them as being personal friends per se, but their relationship is a lot deeper than that of just coworkers. seeing the respect they have for each other and them being able to recognize each other's strengths and weaknesses and predict their actions in high pressure situations is so uGHSDLKJE
fyodor/dazai: they match each other's freak in the worst ways. like it's scary but also fascinating at the same time. the fact that their character designs are also really similar just makes for a very entertaining watch. when sigma was like "oh god am i the only normal one in this room" i laughed sooo hard. cause he really was the only one there who wasn't insane 😭 fyodor/dazai's va's are also doma (upper 2) and akaza (upper 3) in demon slayer so it's just crazy to hear their dialogue but in such a different context
ranpo/fukuzawa: fukuzawa is ranpo's father i don't care what anyone else says. their backstory episodes were some of the first i went back to rewatch because i loved their dynamic and the ADA origin story so much. they really did have what the other person needed and it was so satisfying to see fukuzawa gain perspective and meaning in his life again (thru being ranpo's guardian figure), and to see ranpo receive some guidance and care through someone who cares about him after his own parents were no longer in the picture. they have such a great personal relationship but also work really well together and it's just so wholesome
ranpo/yosano: THEY!! i know the entire ADA is basically found family for everyone but in my mind, ranpo and yosano are the special son/daughter duo that fukuzawa specifically adopted/raised essentially. both of their backstories about how they were recruited into the ADA are so touching, esp his involvement in hers. i always saw ranpo as autistic (which explains his lack of tact sometimes) but despite that, he treated yosano with such care when they were trying to get her to join like. it was so moving i almost cried when i watched the first time. when i rewatched again i cried fr. to be clear i don't ship them romantically, i think they're closer to siblings tbh but either way they are so special to me and deserve all the love in the world
ranpo/poe: i really love how we very quickly find out that poe is not some evil enemy mastermind but just a major ranpo fanboy. and then they become besties and go on adventures and engage in shenanigans together
atsushi/akutagawa: like i mentioned earlier, this duo came out of left field for me personally. like i had no idea they would later be forced to work together when i initially started watching. tbh i still don't completely see the chemistry but i get whiffs of it here and there and i'm like okay... i can kind of picture dazai's vision-ish... but i think i still need some convincing. the visuals for both of them in the show, however, are spectacular. symmetry, color(/palette) contrast are >>>>
kenji/tecchou: they are literally the "wanna be friends?" "okay" dynamic come to life. they're both such simple human beings like. pure of heart, dumb of ass. it's so unexpected but it totally works
jono/tecchou: see above. i feel like on jono's side, their relationship dynamic is a reluctant kind of companionship lmao. maybe akin to that of siblings? whereas for tecchou, i think he just likes jono mostly because they are the only ones in their group that are equals (tachihara too i guess kinda but he's away most of the time so they don't work together a lot), he needs jono's guidance (because he is dumb), and he doesn't mind jono's company. he's a bit like a puppy in that regard. that's just my take on it at least
bram/lil girl: they were so cute together. i love how soft he is with her and how protective of her he becomes as the plot progresses. and i love how she doesn't see him as any different from anyone else (despite him being literally half a body connected to a sword) and how from him, she gets the validation that she so desperately seeks. they are so <3
yosano/tachihara: they didn't really get much interaction other than the confrontation part about her being the one who "killed" her brother but like... surely he thought about it some more right? like she was literally 11 and held there against her will. no different than the brother himself. and her mental state was deteriorating just as bad as the actual soldiers on the battlefield. it makes me so mad that tachihara blames it on her entirely. not necessarily a dynamic i enjoyed but i would've liked to see more of them after that whole arc. especially since he ended up sparing her anyway (though i don't think she deserved death and i don't think he gets to decide whether or not to punish her with death for what happened to his brother??). i think yosano deserves an apology if anything. or at least a chance to hash things out with tachihara. maybe they could've been friends idk
as always, i welcome your thoughts and commentary but understand that essays require quite a bit of mental energy to process so. definitely feel free to add your fav characters and ships!! i know skk and sskk and ranpoe are some of your go-to's since i've seen your reblogs about them, but i'm curious to know if there are any more characters/dynamics you enjoy that aren't brought up as much in fandom!
i'm very glad i started the show. even if not as much or as often as other fandoms on my dash, seeing bsd consistently definitely piqued/maintained my interest in watching and i knew i'd be in for a good time once i stepped in so thank YOU for that!! and thanks for the ask <3

How Server Location Impacts Your Website
Choosing the right web hosting service is critical to the success of any online presence. Among the various factors to consider, server location stands out as a key element. Server Location refers to the geographic location of the data centre where your website’s files and data are stored. While it might seem like a technical detail, its influence on website speed, performance, and user satisfaction cannot be overstated.
Website Speed and Latency
The closer the server is to your website visitors, the lower the latency or delay in data transfer. For instance, if your server is located in Europe but your target audience is in Asia, the physical distance can cause delays in loading time. Faster websites not only create a better user experience but also encourage visitors to stay longer. Research shows that users are more likely to leave a site if it takes more than a few seconds to load, making server proximity critical for reducing bounce rates.
Boosting SEO Performance
Search engine optimization (SEO) plays a vital role in driving organic traffic to your website. Server location directly affects page load speed, which is a crucial ranking factor for search engines like Google. Additionally, if your website is targeting a specific region, having a server in that region can enhance its visibility in local search results. This geotargeting benefit can give your site a competitive edge in regional markets.
Enhancing User Experience
Modern internet users expect instant results when browsing websites. A server closer to your target audience ensures they can quickly access content, stream videos, or complete transactions without delays. A smooth user experience not only improves customer satisfaction but also increases the likelihood of conversions, whether it’s a sale, a subscription, or another desired action.
Meeting Legal and Compliance Requirements
Different regions have distinct laws and regulations regarding data storage and privacy. For example, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Union mandates strict control over the storage and processing of personal data. Hosting your website on a server in a compliant region helps you meet these legal requirements. This ensures your business avoids fines or legal complications while building trust with your users.
Data Security and Reliability
Server location also influences the security of your website. Data centers in certain regions are better equipped to handle threats, including cyberattacks and natural disasters. Locations with advanced cybersecurity infrastructure and disaster recovery systems provide an added layer of protection, ensuring your website remains operational even in adverse conditions.
Global Reach with Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)
If your website targets a global audience, relying on a single server may not be sufficient. Content Delivery Networks (CDNs) can help bridge the gap by distributing copies of your website across multiple servers worldwide. This ensures faster delivery of content to users regardless of their location. CDNs optimize the user experience and help businesses scale efficiently.
Conclusion
The server location in web hosting is a fundamental factor that impacts the speed, accessibility, and reliability of your website. It influences user experience, search engine rankings, data security, and legal compliance. When choosing a web hosting service, prioritize server locations that align with your target audience and business goals. By making an informed decision, you can ensure a faster, safer, and more successful online presence for your website.

Frequently asked questions:
[Anything related to dual-booting]
Shit idk I have literally never dual-booted. I have never dual-booted Linux and Windows, I have never dual-booted Linux and other Linux, and I have never dual-booted Linux with any BSD distro. My condolences for any struggles you may experience in your journey, of putting two operating systems on one computer.
What do you have against physical media?
Putting aside for a moment that as a pedant I am not a huge fan of the term (all storage is physical storage, but I understand the intended meaning) nothing in particular. There are some major disadvantages compared to sticking shit on a hard drive but by the same token, there are some notable advantages depending on the situation.
The actual problem I have is that the conversations around this topic around these parts are ill-informed and I wish people would stop having them in my notes. If you are going to say something along the lines of "physical is forever" (inaccurate: x, x, x, x, etc) please either distill that into a more accurate statement or put it on your own posts instead of mine. If you are going to tout physical as a format that is safer from DRM consider not doing that. Thank you.
Why are you a defender of the .webp format?
webp offers significantly smaller filesizes compared to the older png and jpeg formats, and it's a versatile format with the option of lossless compression (like pngs), lossy compression (like jpegs) as well as animation (with very significant filesize reduction compared to gifs)
So you can get smaller filesizes on images with larger dimensions or more detail, allowing for one to have both faster-loading webpages and fancier graphics at the same time. While some image editors and defunct operating systems still do not natively support webp display, the number of major image editors with zero support is increasingly small and at some point support for dated systems needs to take a backseat to consideration for the bandwidth of users with slow internet and/or data caps. PNG used to not have wide support either and it's a well-liked format now.

(I link the nuwen png page as an example of how and why we've made transitions like this in posting images on the web before! It can be a bit awkward and painful, but the benefits are worth it)

Unleashing the Power of A2 Hosting Review: Hear Why Customers Are Raving

Introduction
Overview of A2 Hosting
When considering web hosting providers, A2 Hosting often comes up as a distinctive choice. Known for its speed and reliability, A2 Hosting caters to a diverse range of users—from bloggers to large enterprises. Their commitment to performance is backed by a suite of features designed to offer not just hosting, but a robust online experience. What sets A2 Hosting apart? Let me simplify it for you:
Turbo Servers: Up to 20x faster than standard hosting
Developer-Friendly: Supports various programming languages and frameworks
Green Hosting: Environmentally responsible with energy-efficient practices
Using A2 Hosting has truly allowed me to focus on what I love—creating content—without the worries of server downtimes.
History of A2 Hosting
Founded in 2001, A2 Hosting began with a clear mission: to provide a top-tier web hosting experience. What started as a small startup has evolved into a significant player in the hosting industry over the years. Here are some pivotal milestones in A2 Hosting's journey:
2001: A2 Hosting was established in Ann Arbor, Michigan, mainly targeting developers.
2003: The introduction of their "Turbo" server line showcased their focus on speed.
2013: The launch of their Managed WordPress hosting solidified their offerings.

A2 Hosting Features
High-Speed Servers
One of the standout features of A2 Hosting is its high-speed servers. Speed is crucial, especially if you want to provide users with a seamless experience. When I first migrated my blog to A2 Hosting, I noticed an immediate boost in page loading times. Their Turbo Servers promise up to 20x faster performance, which is a game changer! Here are a few highlights about their speed capabilities:
SSD Storage: A2 utilizes solid-state drives that drastically improve data retrieval times compared to traditional HDDs.
Turbo Boost: This optional feature allows for even faster speeds by optimizing server settings specifically for your site.
Global Data Centers: With multiple data centers across the globe, A2 Hosting ensures that your content is as close to your visitors as possible.
Reliable Customer Support
Another noteworthy aspect of A2 Hosting is their reliable customer support. We all encounter technical hiccups from time to time, and having a responsive support team can make all the difference. Personally, I found their customer service representatives to be knowledgeable and eager to help with any questions I had during my initial setup. Here’s what you can expect from their support services:
24/7 Availability: Whether it’s the weekend or the middle of the night, help is just a click away.
Multiple Support Channels: Reach out via live chat, phone, or email—whichever method suits you best.
Comprehensive Knowledge Base: A detailed library of articles and tutorials helps users find answers swiftly.

A2 Hosting Plans
Shared Hosting
When it comes to affordability and ease of use, A2 Hosting's Shared Hosting plans are a fantastic option, especially for beginners. I still remember my initial foray into web hosting; I started with a shared plan simply because it fit my budget and needs perfectly. With shared hosting, multiple websites share the same server resources, which is both cost-effective and simple to manage. Here are some key features of A2 Hosting's Shared Hosting:
Low Starting Price: Their plans are competitively priced, making it accessible to many.
Free Site Migration: A2 offers migration assistance from your existing host, saving you the hassle.
Unlimited Storage and Bandwidth: Ideal for growing websites that may need more resources as they scale.
VPS Hosting
As my website grew, I found myself needing more control and resources, leading me to explore A2 Hosting's VPS Hosting options. Virtual Private Servers offer dedicated resources within a shared environment, providing better performance and greater customization. Here's what I discovered about their VPS Hosting plans:
Flexible Resources: You can scale your resources according to your site's evolving needs.
Root Access: Ideal for developers like me who want complete control over their server's configurations.
Enhanced Security: A private environment adds an extra layer of security for sensitive data.

Benefits of Using A2 Hosting
Enhanced Security
One of the aspects of A2 Hosting that truly stood out for me is their enhanced security features. In today’s digital landscape, safeguarding your website is crucial, and A2 Hosting takes this concern seriously. From the moment I started my journey with them, I felt reassured by the various security measures they implemented. Here are some highlights of their security features:
Free SSL Certificates: A2 provides free SSL certificates, which are essential for encrypting data and boosting customer trust.
HackScan Protection: Their proactive monitoring helps detect vulnerabilities and block potential threats before they cause harm.
Reinforced DDoS Protection: This feature safeguards your website from malicious attacks that could disrupt services.
Knowing these measures were in place allowed me to focus on my content without constantly worrying about potential breaches.
User-Friendly Control Panel
Navigating the world of web hosting can be intimidating, especially if you’re new to it. That’s why A2 Hosting’s user-friendly control panel is yet another reason I appreciate their service. It simplifies website management, making it accessible to everyone, regardless of technical expertise. What I love about their control panel:
Intuitive Design: Easy-to-navigate menus mean you can quickly find what you need.
One-Click Installations: Setting up applications like WordPress or Joomla is a breeze with just one click.
Resource Usage Stats: You can easily monitor your resource consumption, helping to manage your site effectively.

Customer Reviews
Positive Feedback
As I dove deeper into the world of A2 Hosting, I couldn't help but notice the buzz surrounding their services. Many users rave about the performance and overall experience they receive. The positive feedback is nearly unanimous, emphasizing how this hosting provider sets itself apart from the competition. Here’s what many customers appreciate most:
Speed and Uptime: A consistent theme in reviews is the impressive speed and reliability. Users often mention page load times significantly improving after switching to A2 Hosting.
Responsive Support: Customers frequently highlight the quick response time and helpfulness of the support team—something I can personally attest to. I reached out to them once, and I was amazed at how quickly I received a thorough solution.
Testimonials from Satisfied Customers
Real-life testimonials often speak volumes, and A2 Hosting is filled with success stories from satisfied customers. Many express how transitioning to A2 Hosting transformed their online presence. For instance:
John, a Small Business Owner: Sharing his journey, John mentioned that after moving to A2 Hosting, his e-commerce site experienced record sales due to faster page load times, which directly bolstered customer satisfaction.
Sarah, a Blogger: Sarah remarked, "The user-friendly control panel took the headache out of managing my blog. It's simplified everything for me!"
