Lofty: Anpassen
1/4 -
Ain feels great disappointment and doubt towards humans and other races in Elrios he encounters as he travels with Elsword. He also cannot understand why Elsword and his party will listen to all their unreasonable requests, which seems like a waste of time.
However... Perhaps he should observe further. Let's follow the party to Bethma Village.
2/4 -
As Ain continued his journey with the El Search Party, he notices Elsword and his friend constantly making (originally translated as mankind?) mistakes and repeating meaningless actions, yet never giving up.
What is causing them to constantly give it their all to fight for what they believe in despite the trials and difficulties? The El energy that they use?
3/4 -
The El energy in Elrios originiated from the El bestowed by the Goddess Ishmael. As the one who understands the El energy the most, Ain's question of their potential steadily increased.
Perhaps Chacha Buch, who uses special power like curses, would know the answer.
4/4 -
Even after many battles, Elsword and others act more worried for others. Though Ain thinks this is all odd and unnecessary, he feels compelled from their emotion and protects everyone.
In that battle, Ain feels the El energy in the air surround him for the first time, and when that energy merged with his diving power, it materialized into something new-

EE and Arme compete with each other to win Apos love?
(Okay! So this took a bit longer because Mod Sei from Els-Imagines and I decided (before this whole mod ship thing went down) to do this ask as a collab! They helped me by writing the middle part, so thanks, @ainchaseseiker!)
“Arme, it’s just a vase of flowers! I want to cheer up his day!”
“I will not allow you to give it to him,” Arme raised a hand. “Hand over the flowers.
“Never! I gathered these for him!” Emotion held the vase to his chest and looked away. “I want to see the look of happiness on his face when he gets them!”
“He never will, at least not from your hands.” Arme took a step closer and reached the hand he had raised previously out to him. “Hand them over.”
“B-But I said I wanted to give them to him myself, I-”
“I said hand them over!”
“No! I’ll give them to him myse-”
Crash!
“Arme! Why would you do that?!” Emotion stared with big eyes at the shattered vase on the ground in front of him. In his left hand, Arme held a projection sword while he stared at the other angel with somewhat of a glare.
“I told you. I will not let you take him from me.” Arme’s voice was low, dangerous, almost like a threat. He was tense and didn’t move from his spot, his back straightened and his head high, as expected from the left hand of the Goddess. Emotion, on the other hand, seemed more relaxed and light, his movements more natural and swift, like a leaf being blown in the wind. He let out a sigh and crouched down, starting to pick up the bigger shards of glass.
“You’re mean, Arme… I just wanted to make him smile…” Emotion pouted childishly and threw the shards in the trash. “Now, the flowers are gonna wilt unless I get a new vase…”
When Mochi started cleaning up the second round of shards, Apostasia came out of his room, pausing when he saw the mess. It was as if he expecting an answer, but Apostasia being Apostasia, he probably rather wouldn’t know.
“Ah! Sorry, Apos…” Emotion laughed awkwardly and scratched the back of his head. “I brought you flowers, but Arme didn’t like the vase so he destroyed it.” It was the best excuse he could make up on the spot, but as long as Apostasia believed it, it was good enough. Apostasia just nodded and crouched in front of Mochi. He opened his mouth for a second, probably to offer him his help, but seemed to change his mind before he did so and got up again, walking past the two angels and outside.
Emotion and Arme just watched them go, falling silent until several seconds until Apostasia was out of their field of sight. When that moment came, they just stared back at each other.
“Do you think he’s onto us?”
“I’d have no idea. That guy is unreadable.”
“Ah! Ain, what are you doing?” Anpassen hopped over to Ain, wearing his usual wide smile. Ain smiled at him, holding an open suitcase with several notes and sheets in front of him.
“I heard this is what humans call “betting! You put money or anything on which you think the possible outcome will be, and if you win, you take it all.”
“Oh! That sounds amazing!” Anny’s eyes sparkled and he clapped his hands togehter. “Can I participate? What are you betting on?!”
“On who will conquer Apostasia’s heart!”
“I’ll bet an El Shard on… Emotion!” Anpassen hopped up and down excitedly. Ain nodded and started taking a few notes with a soft smile.
“You’re still going on about that?” Executor appeared from the kitchen, holding a glass of water in his hands. He didn’t look amused at all. Anny pouted a little and looked at him.
“You don’t like the idea? I think it could be fun!”
“No. It’s immature and dumb.”
“Executor, you placed three El shards on Arme.” Ain intervened, looking slightly thrown off by Executor’s words.
After Ain’s intervention, the room fell into an awkward silence.
“…Hey, where’s Wanderer?” Anny asked after a while.
Ain and Executor just shrugged and left.
Arme sucks a breath through his teeth, clenching his hands into fists. Apostasia was sitting silently in the grass, idly playing with the green plants.
Silently he sits next to the corrupted celestial.“ Hello Apos..” he greets calmly despite his racing heart, watching the other out of the corner of his eye.
Apos doesn’t respond, only nodding in acknowledgement as he continues to toy with his grass. Arme found himself taking in the celestial’s appearance, specifically his hair.
Without thinking, Arme reached over and ran his hand through Apos’ hair. The corrupted celestial froze and tensed up, looking at him with wide eyes.
“Arme.” His name left Apos’ lips in a breathy whisper.“ What are you doing?”
Arme keeps staring seriously amidst the slow red rising up his cheeks as he starts using bith hands to brush Apos’ hair.
“Come closer so I can remove the tangles.”Yes, he did feel irked at the sight of Apos’ messy hair but hey, at least he could get near the celestial. Apos hesitates, but the usual hard look in Arme’s eyes (that he still wasn’t used too) made him relent.
He scoots so he’s sitting in front of Arme with his back turned to him. Arme hums and starts sombing his fingers through Apos’ hair.
…Arme was gentle, it surprised Apos as he closes his eyes to the feeling of Arme gently combing his hair with his fingers.
Arme feels a small smile twitch on his face  when he sneaked a look on Apos and saw the celestial’s peaceful face. He took a lock of hair between his fingers and absentmindedly pressed it to his lips.
Cuto sends a victorious smirk to Anpa who gasps and pouts at him.“ Arme is going to win.” Cuto declares proudly.
Anpa shakes his head adamantly.“ No! Erblu is!” He retorts before he felt a hand on his back, same for Cuto.
"Now now,“ Ain repriminds smoothly.” No fighting you two.“ He turns his back to pat Lowa and takes out a notebook from his pocket. He scribbles something on it before snapping it shut.
 Arme: 1 Erblu: 0?
“Wonder?” Mochi smiled and peeked into Apostasia’s dark room, holding a blanket in his arms.
“I told you, it was Wanderer, not Wonder…” Apos’s voice was quiet as he stared right ahead at the wall. “Leave.”
But Emotion hummed and hopped instead, his footing so light he might as well have been a nymph. “Don’t lock us out like that… Come on! Do you wanna feed the ducks with me?” He put the blanket around the fallen angel and nuzzled his cheek. “Some ravens might come too!”
Apostasia was non-responsive.
“Wonder…?” He moved back a little and looked down at him. He kept quiet for a moment, thinking, then straightened up, a smile spreading across his face. “Oh! I know! We can just play hide and seek in the dark!”
Still, no reaction from Apostasia. Mochi saddened a little and decided that maybe it was better if they just relaxed. Wonder didn’t really seem to be in the mood to play. He exhaled deeply as he cuddled up to the other, putting his arms around him.
A small smile crept across his face again.
“This is nice…” He whispered, glancing up at him. Apostasia finally looked back down at him. His face was lank, but he certainly didn’t look angry. Was it maybe that he enjoyed his presence?
Nevertheless, Apostasia’s gaze seemed to cheer up Mochi. He had done the right thing by coming.
“Ah…! There you are!” He reached out and pinched his cheek, brimming with joy. “You’re so cute!”
Apostasia looked at him for a bit longer, but finally couldn’t help himself and cracked a small smile.
Nevertheless, Mochi had already gone back to cuddling the fallen angel, his eyes closed, and didn’t notice.
“That was cute…” Anny, who had been watching the scenario unfold with his brothers, commented with a smile. “See? Emotion is gonna win!”
“Don’t get your hopes up.” Exe rested his face in his hand, almost as if in a tired facepalm. “These results aren’t conclusive.”
“I don’t think Apos is going to make up his mind… I don’t even know if he wants them…” Wanderer rubbed his eyes sleepily.
Ain was just messing around with his notebook and his suitcase, trying to keep up with everything going on.
“Ah! Has anyone seen my pencil!”
“I can lend you my multicolor pen!” Anny chirped, handing him the writing tool. It was covered in rainbows and ladybugs and flowers. Executor groaned in embarassment.
“Why did you have to be MY brother?” He complained. Anny just smiled and patted his head like an animal.
“You still love me.”
“No I don’t.”
“Yes you do. Executor, stop it; you’re making Wonder cry.”
“I’m not crying?” Wanderer commented, a bit startled at being dragged into the argument.
“Shush, Wonder. I’m trying to get Exe to admit that he loves us.” Anny smiled at him.
Ain had just scribbled down something in his notebook with his new pen.

one step ahead
pairing; aincest (anpassen/wanderer) rating; k wc; 655  category; fluff notes; @loppy-wanderer you nailed what i love, so here you go, some snow shenanigans
“So this is what cold feels like,” Anpassen muses, a few steps ahead and spreading his arms as if welcoming the falling snowflakes.
Wanderer trudges after him. What he's doing could be categorized as playing with his fingers, were he not wearing gloves. He has a matching hat, complete with a soft woolen ball at the top, and a scarf that hides his face all the way up to the nose.
Whenever Anpassen looks over at him, he can't help but find him adorable.
“What's so interesting about this?” Wanderer can't help but ask, holding his hand out to capture a few of the powder-like flakes.
“Well, it’s water that’s too cold to fall in droplets so it freezes and then—”
Wanderer shakes his head to wriggle out of his scarf and blows at his hand, sending the snow straight into Anpassen’s face. The short haired celestial lets out a very un-celestial yowl, pulling away and swatting the cold wetness off his face. Wanderer holds back a chuckle at the display.
“That’s it!” Anpassen proclaims, twisting on his heel and leaning down, “I’ll show you what Elsword taught me! You started it!”
He gathers snow in his hand, fingers not covered by the material of his gloves stinging a little, but he ignores it in favor of packing it into an uneven ball. When he deems it okay (meaning, it was no longer falling apart in his hand), he straightens out and turns back to throw it at Wanderer—
Only to get a facefull of snow instead.
Wanderer stares at him, blinking innocently, arm still outstretched where he’d thrown his own ball. Anpassen is too stunned to retaliate for a moment, and when he does, his ball goes way off course, landing harmlessly in a half-covered patch of tall grass.
“Your aim sucks, Anpa,” Wanderer chides, and hearing him Anpassen can’t even stay mad. Not even when the snow melts on his skin and drips down under the collar of his jacket, making his whole body shiver.
“I thought I’d get you,” Anpassen mumbles, bottom lip jutting out in a pout.
Wanderer trudges through the snow and takes his hand, wiping the white off his face and jacket collar with his free hand. “Sorry, Shea told me to do this if anyone was about to throw snow at me.”
Anpassen tries to pass another pout, but Wanderer knows it’s fake from the fact that he squeezes his fingers in Wanderer’s hold. And that the corners of his eyes are crinkled softly. “Then, I’ll talk it out with Shea instead!”
Wanderer smiles, shaking his head. “You’ll just get hit with more snow,” he says, but doesn’t try to stop Anpassen further. Anpassen doesn’t even deny it.
“Aren’t you cold?” Anpassen asks instead.
“Always.”
“What about grabbing some hot cocoa at the inn? I’ve heard Mr. Ancient telling Mr. Ancient that Ariel’s is good, so I’ve bought a few.”
Wanderer snorts, “I have no idea which two you’re talking about.”
“The loud one and the quiet one,” Anpassen answers easily, already pulling Wanderer in the direction of the inn the gang is staying at.
“Which quiet one? The haughty one or the stained one?”
“Why are you so curious, Wande?”
“I don’t trust the haughty one,” Wanderer says, looking away with a pout of his own.
“Well, it was the stained one, anyhow, so you don’t have to worry. Plus, I’ll taste it first just so you’re more at ease,” Anpasses says, fingers holding Wanderer tighter. Wanderer is cold, but he can still see where Anpassen shivers, his lack of a hat or a scarf showing through.
Wanderer unwinds the end of his and slings it across Anpassen’s shoulders, moving closer so he can wrap it more properly. “Alright, so let’s hurry up. I want to warm up already.”
Anpassen doesn’t say that he immediately feels so much warmer. He’s thankful the scarf hides his burning cheeks.

celestials yelling about if fish are wet or dry (or, arme slowly loses his sanity)
Lofty: Anpassen: Unless you take the fish out and expose it to air, now it is wet, but if it’s surrounded by water, it’s not wet.
[camera pans to Arme]
Arme Thaumaturgy: [turns head straight towards Anpassen]
Arme Thaumaturgy: Water is wet! If there’s no water, you are not wet!
Erbluhen Emotion: [laughs quietly in background]
[cut to a few seconds later]
Arme Thaumaturgy: Don’t say that!
Lofty: Anpassen: If you’re not surrounded by water, you’re not wet.
Arme Thaumaturgy: (That’s like saying) I’m surrounded by air, but I’m not dry! That’s what you’re saying!
[Erbluhen’s camera pans to Apostasia, who’s confused]
Apostasia: Ask your question again. I’m confused.
[video cuts to a few minutes later]
Lofty: Anpassen: …Until you pour it into the cup, and pour the water in top of it, no matter how little water gets on you, you are now considered wet. Correct? But, if you’re all surrounded by air, you’re dry, but if a fish…
Arme Thaumaturgy: [internally screaming and thinking why the goddess lets him exist]
Lofty: Executor: [hits head against wall]
[cuts towards at least 5 minutes after Anpassen’s explanation]
Arme Thaumaturgy: No… you’re not serious right now. So you’re telling me, when a submarine is underwater…
Erbluhen Emotion: Oh, my god. [laughs hysterically for a few times]
Arme Thaumaturgy, slowly going crazy: …it’s not wet. So- This is what you’re saying right now! You’re basically saying that it’s dry! You wanna know why? Because- [imitating Anpassen] “wet and dry are opposite!” [normal voice] So something’s not wet! [imitating Anpassen again] “Then’s it’s nothing!” [normal voice] That’s what you’re saying! This is what you’re saying right now! So you’re saying that a fish is dry!! That is what you’re saying! That is basically-
Apostasia: Arme, calm down-
Arme Thaumaturgy: [nearly attempts to use pendulum] No, no, no! Cause everything has an opposite! Because if I’m not breathing- [holds breath] I’m not breathing! If I’m breathing, I’m breathing! That’s just how it is!
Apostasia: I don’t care about this anymore!
Erbluhen Emotion: Just please ask the question again!

pairing: aincest [wanderer/anpassen] wc: 947  rating: K category: fluff notes: i got really inspired by @erstderletzt‘s latest fic, its really great you should def go read it
The Altera winds are unpredictable, coming and going as they please. One second a gentle breeze fans through his hair, the next he can barely keep his balance as the air hits him with a sense of urgency.
Where is it going? Why is it rushing so much? He had thought Miss Elf would be able to explain it, but the only thing she had told him is ‘that’s just how it is, Ain. I don’t think there is a reason.’
Maybe the Goddess would have an answer for such a question, but it seems so pointless to even ask her such a thing. He knows she would most likely not even answer, so he keeps on silently wondering, staring off at the seemingly never ending tunnels.
Wande sits, slumped, on the side, resting his body. Exec had disappeared somewhere off, though away from the rest of the Search party, who are having a rather animated conversation with Edel. Wande doesn’t seem much inclined to get up and join them, and he himself has to admit he doesn’t want to, either.
So instead he slides to sit next to the other Celestial.
“It’s cold, isn’t it?” he finds himself whispering, before he could even give it a thought.
Wande raises his head, hood falling back into place as he glances at Anpassen. “It’s not cold.”
Anpassen chuckles, digging into the dirt with the tip of his shoe. Nonsensical patterns are traced into the grit; Wande watches with a curious glint in his eye, as half-hooded as it is. “Maybe you’re right.”
Anpassen’s Eids are floating around in a gentle dance, casting their light on the colorless tunnel walls. Wille seems to shine the brightest, and Wanderer can’t help his own lips tugging up in a humorless smile. He speaks up to get the other back from the thought spiral he knows is starting in his head, “Why do you think it’s cold?”
“It’s just… You are always cold,” Anpassen tells him.
“No, Executor is the cold one,” Wande mumbles, glancing around to see if the other Celestial didn’t pop up while he wasn’t looking and wouldn’t hear him.
“I mean physically.”
Wande looks down at his hands, rubs his right thumb over the blackened skin almost absently. “Am I?”
“Your hands are always freezing,” Anpassen tells him and reaches out to gather his hands into his own. The soft fabric of Anpassen’s gloves feels nice on Wanderer’s skin, so he lets the other rub his hands together. “See? Cold as ice.” It does spark warmth in him, so maybe Anpassen is right.
“That’s the corruption… A side effect, I think,” Wanderer says. Anpassen’s eyes stay glued to their hands and Wanderer finds it a little pleasant, having a soft conversation for once. “You won’t preach to me about it, will you?”
Anpassen looks up, as if startled. “Exec is the one who does the preaching, I think,” he laughs, but doesn’t let go even still. “Maybe this is what Ishmael planned for us, to find out more about the world and ourselves.”
“That makes no sense,” Wande tells him, but he does end up chuckling a little. What a silly idea. Maybe he likes it.
“Many things don’t make sense. Like wind — I mean, why is it so strong in here?”
Wande hums, looking at Anpassen as if he didn’t believe his words. “It’s because it goes through a smaller place.”
“What? How does that make sense?”
“It’s stronger because there’s more of it in a small place.”
Anpassen seems to think about it for a moment while Wande leans back against the wall. He’d grown used to Anpassen’s hold and it feels kind of nice. He wiggles his hands and escapes the hold to reciprocate it. He’d seen humans winding their fingers together with one another, so he tries that. He might miss one or two of them, but Anpassen doesn’t comment on it as he corrects himself.
“Is that really true?”
“I don’t know.”
“Wh— You don’t know? Why’d you tell me, then?”
“It just seems… logical?” Wande frowns, wondering if he had gotten the right word.
“It does, but still…”
Wande shrugs dismissively. He ends up slumping sideways, almost right onto Anpassen’s shoulder. Neither of them comment on it.
Anpassen has to admit, at least to himself, that he likes it when Wande isn’t cold. His fingers, holding loosely onto his, have already warmed up, and though his cowl still feels chilly against his neck, it’s also warming up. And not only that, the warmth seems to spread farther that just Wande’s body. The whole atmosphere around them feels warmer, almost as if they were back in Ruben, under the comforting presence of the El crystal.
“You’re warm,” Wande says out of the blue. It’s soft, and his breath fans across Anpassen’s skin. Somehow it makes him jerk slightly. There’s a weird sensation on his back and he wonders if that’s what humans call ‘goosebumps’.
“Isn’t that the point?” he laughs, “If you want to warm someone else up, you should be warm yourself.”
Wande shakes his head, frowning at himself. Again he can’t find the correct words. “No, I mean… I mean inside. Du bist warm wie Gott.”
Anpassen’s cheeks warm up instantaneously at the words. Unconsciously, he squeezes Wande’s fingers, a gesture the other more than happily returns. His breath and voice are lost for a moment. “Danke... “
Silence befalls them, as much as there can be with Ponggos going about their business. It feels softer now, somehow. Anpassen finds he doesn’t mind, even wishes that the gang takes just a little longer understanding Edel’s instructions.
Just a little bit longer.
