What to put in kids party bags
Tumblr media
What do you put in your kids party bags? The world may have changed and our children may seem to grow up faster, yet the sheer excitement of a small child's party remains the same. In the same way that a baby will have more fun with the box or the wrapping paper, younger kids will never fail to be excited by the simplest of party bags. Sometimes it really is the simple things, and the basic contents of a kids party bag has remained unchanged for decades. Because kids will always be...well, kids. If you want an easy kids party solution we have ready made 100g mixed lolly bags
What to put in kids party bags
Keep it simple. And inexpensive. Choose a few fun colourful items, add a few lollies, and there isn't a child in the world that won't go home happy. Oh, and don't forget the time honoured tradition of a piece of birthday cake wrapped in a napkin. Some parents hand them out at the door. This way it doesn't really matter if they are not all exactly the same. If you plan on handing them out earlier, then you may want to consider making them all identical. That said, kids do like to compare loot and mixing up the content keeps the element of surprise. Pocket money toys Most stores have a great selection of pocket money toys. Bubble blowers, stickers, and bouncy balls never go out of favour. Small themed toys Look out for something small and inexpensive that ties in with the general theme of your party, or is personalised to each guest. Just one thing in each bag that makes it a little bit special. Lollies Sweets, of course. No self respecting loot bag is without lollies. Anything goes here, but maybe think about individually wrapped lollies that won't make a mess.
What NOT to put in kids party bags
There is minefield of things to consider when dealing with other peoples children. As the years go by, that list seems to get bigger. Whilst there is no need to get hung up on every single possibility that you may inadvertently offend, it is worth keeping it mindful and respectful. Noisy things For most people, noisy things are a no-no. Nobody appreciates a carful of kids blowing on hooters and it can be hard enough calming kids down after a party. Too much sugar Just as lollies are an absolute must and no kids party is complete without sweet treats, be mindful of sugar overload. Nobody will thank you if they are still up at midnight. Plastic bags Keeping plastic to a minimum is always a good (if not entirely achievable) idea but plastic bags come with their own particular hazards. Consider using paper or fabric bags, or even making your own. Allergies It is not easy to cater for all allergies and sensitivities, and most kids and parents are good at policing themselves but it is good practice these days to make your party a nut free zone. Age appropriateness Make sure anything you include in your party bags is appropriate for the age range; no small parts or possible choking hazards. You might want to stay away from sharp pointy things too. Check out our number 1 guide to lollies online. And don't forget that you can buy all your lollies in bulk from our online store. Just thinking about how my entire primary school was convinced that a house across the street was haunted.
This was a legend for all my primary years - older siblings would tell younger (who would then inform their own friends with newfound Knowledge Of The Elders), new kids would be looped in ASAP, and so many poor teachers on yard duty suffered kids telling them about it (we ignored their “reasonable” explanations, naturally).
I distinctly remember stakeouts happening along the fence line at recess and someone would convince the whole group they saw a curtain move. Because of course the place is full of ghosts if the curtain moves!
Also, this house was two doors down from the best milk bar in town, but if you wanted to get your sausage roll/40c lollybag/sunnyboy fix you stayed on the school side of the street until the very last moment. Because scary house.

Instead of plain old party lolly bags at your next toddler bithday party consider a Pinata 🎉 It's a popular party game and once it's cracked open the kids can collect all the prizes so they can be divided into bags as take home gifts 🍭 P.S. A big thanks to Toddler Daddy Al for putting his life on the line by volunteering to hold the Pinata for this year's indoor rainy day party. #partylollybags #pinataparty #toddlerbirthday #toddlerbirthdayparty #birthdaypartygame #kidspartyideasgoldcoast #kidsbirthdaypartygoldcoast #3rdbirthdayparty #toddlerpartyideas #toddlerpartygame #kidsbirthdaypartyideas #kidspartygames #goldcoastmums #goldcoasttoddlermums #goldcoasttoddler #toddlergoldcoast #toddlerlifegoldcoast #funthingsfortoddlers #partyfavorsforkids #lollybags https://www.instagram.com/p/CajpisVBfkb/?utm_medium=tumblr

I appreciate Army of the Dead (2021) because if I, like Zach Snyder, came up with a lollybag of my favourite vague genre driven concepts and cooky badass characters played by my cool action actor friends, AND had near unlimited resources to make said project, I too would just make a batshit first draft into a sleek looking 2 and a half hour corny blockbuster in which all the dialogue sounds like it was written by a high school student and give zero fucks. we love a b-c-grade film with an a+ grade budget.

dad was talking abt bitcoins and accidentally said $2 billion ducks' instead of 'bucks' and then we all started laughinb abt how cool it'd be if the currency switched from gold n silver coin and notes, to actual live ducks. like can u imagine? little kids walking to the corner shops holding three little wiggly ducklings in their hands n pockets, to trade them in for lollybags n chippies? and conversations like 'sweet ride aye.' 'yea shes a beaut. only set me back 30 hardheads and 2 dozen chestnut teals' also people would then have alot of value and appreciation for the currency, cos the food u feed them and how well they're looked after would all make a difference in the value of the duck as well. it would be in everyones best interest to have a good veggie garden and a big yard.

Creating lolly bags that don't break the bank. Creative, fun and useful. We have recreated a birthday favour bucket for ages 3-5 years old with products from Kmart Australia. Not all products have to be used or purchased. This inspiration is especially suited for the parents that don't prefer to overload the kids with sugar. PM us with any recreations.

A kids birthday party can be fun and healthy. I always cringe and get panic attacks when I get to kids birthday parties and I see nothing rainbow cakes, lollies, and more. Why do w call that a treat in our society? When that treat is highly carcinogenic, when that treat that lollybag reduces your immune function by 50% for 5hrs after ingesting? Don’t get me wrong I do allow my daughter the very occasional “Lolly” and chocolate and occasional marshmallow, but the word is occasional when I know she is in a state of strong immune system and is not spurting a cold or else. If every kid on the block is allowed rainbow cake and lolly bags on their birthday party and their friends follow suit that makes at least 10 of them a year. Doesn’t give much space if you want to allow for an Easter egg and or chocolate Santa. I personally cannot in my own belief system offer foods that I’ve learned to be carcinogenic or immunity lowering, even at a kids party. Thank god my now 4yr old daughter gets a kick out of sushi and fruit. Even her birthday cake was made using organic ingredients and lower sugar ratios and using the raw varieties such as rapadura #consciousparenting #youarewhatyoueat #vegansushi #kidspartydood #consciousmummy #mindfulmum
