Several years ago I found this synth loop I really liked, and I wanted to build a track around it. I love synth sounds like this, it had a really cool 1980s vibe and a slightly unsettling twist in the tune, so I decided to stick with the 80s and see how far I could take it. Quite far it seems!

I tried and stayed with another vocal initially, but it was quite discordant other than the breakdown in the middle, and I was never truly happy with it. As is always the case, it lurked in the back of my mind as unfinished business until I finally just had to come back to it years later, during my creative spell in August 2022.

I removed the old vocals and, when I found DynamiteSkye's acapella on Looperman, I knew I had my sound. I added in some backing vocals, and a single note solo/fade at the end, and the track was finally complete.

Again, a track I love and have played endlessly, but not liked much my others it seems. Am I doomed to forever make music for an audience of one? 🤣
