Literally, I feel like the Bee Gees fucking cleansed my damn soul these last few weeks. They were so kind, so sweet, so beyond fucking talented, totally hilarious, completely adorable, and just a breath of fresh air that I desperately needed. Their music makes me feel loved, cherished, and seen again, which I never thought I would ever experience with another artist. It's like a warm hug from three wholesome dads whenever I play their songs. Not to mention that Maurice and Robin are like my guardian angels now that they're in the afterlife. Hey y’all, I know I don’t post too terribly many personal things on here, but I wanted to give you a heads up that I’ll be sort of away from writing and posting fics for at least a few days.

My grandmother passed away today after a year long battle with cancer and I’m absolutely heartbroken. She was one of the greatest women I’ve ever known and I miss her so much already.

I’ll be with family for the next few days honoring her memory and grieving with love for her. Thank y’all for understanding and when I do write again my fics may have a hint of sadness to them. It’s only natural.

oof. hey. i finished angels before man about a week ago and have been trying to figure out, how i want to say what i want to say about it since - but i recognize that i probably won't ever find the perfect words, so the following will be what i'm going with (improvise, adapt, overcome): first of all, i think it actively made me queerer which is peak literature as far as i'm concerned. more importantly, to me at least, it engaged that part of my brain which has been horribly damaged by academia and now i have a desperate need to analyse, and take it apart, and see how it works on a structural level. and i'm also terribly sorry in advance if i ever actually get around to doing that. (as no author should be made aware that their work made a prospective scholar want to do the academia.) anyway, please take this as a huge compliment and, i guess, i am just going to leave you with: thank you, and good luck with the rest of your finals!
