I finished Pahua and the Soul Stealer by @lorimlee82 earlier this week. It’s another winner from @readriordan Presents. I am not at all familiar with Hmong folklore or mythology or culture, so I found this fascinating (which is, of course, the point of the Rick Riordan Presents line). The more I read these books, the more recurring tropes I’m finding, like single mothers, mysteriously absent fathers, and kidnapped siblings. I’ve never actually read any of Riordan’s Percy Jackson books or any of his others; there’s just so many! It feels like I’m committing to a long term relationship before the first date.
