Lottielee Weekend is a fandom event to celebrate, analyze, and generally come together over the relationship between Lottie Matthews and Laura Lee from the TV show Yellowjackets. While Lottielee Weekend will focus on the idea of a romantic connection between Lottie and Laura Lee, any and all fanworks—fic, art, edits, vids, meta, playlists—focusing on any facet of their relationship are welcome.

Lottielee Weekend will run from Friday, January 5 to Monday, January 8, 2024. This coincides with the Feast of the Epiphany, which celebrates the baptism of Jesus in some Christian traditions, and will also allow for a more relaxed focus after the pressures of the major winter holidays. EDIT: LOTTIELEE WEEKEND HAS BEEN MOVED TO FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2 TO MONDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2024.

Each day will have an optional theme to spark your creativity:

Day 1: Afterlife

Lottielee is a ship that deals a lot with ghosts, spirits, purgatory, apparitions, memory, and outliving someone you love; why not explore that? Anything dealing with the afterlife, either literally (such as through the death realm and ghostly apparitions) or figuratively, falls under this prompt.

Day 2: In Another Life

Canon divergence or canon rewrite, no-crash AU, winter in the Wilderness if Laura Lee had lived, Lottie as a deer, Laura Lee as a bear, reincarnation romance—it all goes here.

Day 3: Monster AU

Just for fun. Does Laura Lee rise from the grave wanting to suck Lottie's blood? Does Lottie start acting especially weird around every full moon? Is "Jacques" secretly a lesbian succubus that's been possessing Lottie since the events of "Blood Hive" and manipulating Laura Lee into soft-launching being gay? You decide!

Lottie and Laura Lee don't get a ton of agency over their all-too-limited time together in Yellowjackets canon, but you do. If you've felt bound to the prompts on previous days and want to cut loose, here's where to do it.

Some ground rules: Lottielee Weekend is for everyone. Clearly warn for explicit sexual content or for any gore or brutality that goes beyond what we see in Yellowjackets canon. Do not bash other ships, although criticizing or problematizing them (or even criticizing or problematizing Lottielee! We love them, but they're not without fault) is fine. Above all else, have fun, or what passes for fun with a ship as tragic as our poor doomed prophet and saint.

Okay okay OKAY I was rewatching the jackie death dream and the lottie mall scene because these seem to be to most hmmmm this really feels like a ghost realm scenes we have right?? (Cabin guy, like why would Jackie OR shauna imagine cabin guy, shauna being shown as waking from it, indicated dream share, laura lee shoving lottie back into reality etc are you with me?) So of course I’m reeling about the Alice in wonderland ism of Lottie’s scene BUT but Jackie is offered hot chocolate and she TAKES A SIP and when she looks back to the group after that our ghosts appear and she’s cemented in death!! Laura Lee offers lottie food and she’s watching lottie anxiously and she says WAIT when Lottie’s about to eat and lottie doesn’t get a bite and Laura Lee has a sudden change in tone and she stands and she pushes her and lottie DOESN’T EAT!!!
