BLCD Review: [Nama Haishin] Aitsu ni Koishite Mita!

Title:  [Nama Haishin] Aitsu ni Koishite Mita! (【生配信】あいつに恋してみた！)

Synopsis: After passing their college exams, Takuto and Yoshirou picked up an app called MeTube. What they started just to kill sometime found it’s way into their daily lives as college students. Their selling point is “business BL” and it’s not such a big deal for the both of them ‘cause they’re totally bro with everything but when it’s time to raise it up a notch for them views, will the two of them still be able keep this relationship strictly professional?

And another one that turned out not as bad as I thought it would.

This is what fan girls wished Dan and Phil would be. HAHAHA. I’M JUST KIDDING DON’T KILL ME. Yeah, I had an issue with them being mofucking METUBERS - I can’t help but laugh while hearing that term, honestly. But the CD actually isn’t so focused on that but on the relationship between these two boys. It’s like half their channel and half their past and present, ya dig? There really isn’t that much a climax and drama but hey, it’s from Montblanc. They don’t do that shit there. 😂 The pacing was a little rushed but it was fine for what it was. 

Now onto the voice work -

It was a funny story actually. I immediately started searching for seiyuu pseudonyms to see who Lounsbery Arthur really was but turns out that that was his actual name. 😂 This is both Arthur and Reiou’s first BLCD work and of course, their first time working together. Despite being complete newbies, I’m pleasantly surprised how well they pulled this off. They don’t feel like they’re reading off the script and although their mattress mambos have some pacing issues, it wasn’t bad. 👌 Sure they’re still a little bit rough around the edges but, I’m seeing a great career ahead of them. 

This could actually be good manga material. It could do a 7 or a 7.5 me. Although I do think that this caters to a younger audience, I honestly could recommend this to anyone who’s just in it for something light. This could also be great for those who are just starting to get into the BLCD world since they don’t use a lot of difficult words and there’s no heavy plot. 👌

BanG Dream, in arrivo l’anime sugli Argonavis

In produzione anche un videogame dedicato alla band.

Bushiroad ha annunciato che il franchise di BanG Dream! si espanderà grazie a due nuovi progetti legati alla band Argonavis.

Il primo è un anime, intitolato “Argonavis from Band Dream! Animation”, la cui trasmissione avverrà in Giappone nel corso della primavera 2020. L’adattametno sta venendo diretto da Hiroshi Nishikiori (Azumanga Daioh, A Certain Magical Index, Trinity Seven) presso lo studio Sanzigen (Bang Dream! 2nd season, ID-0). La sceneggiatura sta venendo curata da Nobuhiro Mouri, mentre il charcter design è stato affidato a Hikaru Miyoshi (Moriarty The Patriot).

Il gruppo è stato lanciato da Bushiroad nel maggio del 2018 ed è formato da  cinque membri: il cantante Ren Nanahoshi (interpretato da Masahiro Ito), il chitarrista Yuuto Goryou (interpretato da Daisuke Hyuuga), il bassista Wataru Matoba (interpretato da Seiji Maeda), il batterista Banri Shiroishi (interpretato da Shouhei Hashimoto) e il tastierista Rio Kikyou (interpretato da Shuuta Morishima).

Il secondo progetto in cantiere è un videogioco chiamato “Argonavis AASide”, che unirà meccaniche da adventure game a quelle da classico rhythm game e uscirà nella seconda parte del 2020. La storia sarà ambientata dopo quella dell’anime e introdurrà le due nuove band GYROAXIA e Fantome Iris, guidate dai vocalist Nayuta Asahi (interpretato da Jin Ogasawara) e Felix Louis-Claude (interrpetato da Arthur Lounsbury).

“IS JAILED ON FALSE REGISTRATION CHARGE,” North Bay Nugget. May 4, 1932. Page 3. ---- Convicted on a charge of false registration at a hotel, Tony Mastrovito, Montreal, went to jail for two months in default of paying a fine of $100 and costs imposed on him by Magistrate S. Weegar in police court, Tuesday morning. Carmen Dupuis, also of Montreal, who Mastrovito, was charged with registering Monday night at the Chicago Cafe as his wife, and who was held on the same charge, was remanded for one week. 

The court was informed by Deputy-Chief J. J. Dennis that the couple were arrested at about 10.30, Monday night, at the cafe following complaints made to the police. They were registered as man and wife but admitted on questioning that they were not married he said. One other couple who were with the two accused were not held having produced a marriage certificate, Sergeant Frank Michaud, who with Constable T. Green accompanied the deputy-chief corroborated the other's statements. 

Mastrovito stated they were enroute to Montreal where they intended being married. He admitted living with the girl for a year and a half.

Both had a long list of previous convictions Paquette having been convicted 23 times, and Boucher eight times. 

Five Drunks Arrested A number of week-end drunks appeared Monday five falling into the toils of the law. Three went to jail on appearing before the magistrate and like the other two,settled up before court time each paying fines of $16.50.

Drank Liquor Illegally One North Bay man charged with consuming in a public place also settled up before court time, paying a fine of $25 and costs.

BLCD Review: Hinekure wa Koi ga Saku

Synopsis: Sakura Somei has been praised for being cute ever since he was little. In high school, he heard rumors about Tsukasa Yukihira, a guy even better looking than himself, and finds himself falling for him at first sight. Sakura is so sure Tsukasa will fall for his pretty-boy charms if he hangs around him long enough, he follows him to the point of acting like a stalker. Although he manages to get into the same college as Tsukasa, his stubborn personality doesn't allow him to come clean about how he feels. Sakura is eventually unable to keep his feelings at bay and ends up locking lips with Tsukasa! In the aftermath, he soon discovers what kind Prince Charming Tsukasa is really like...! 

Review Proper

Huh, this wasn’t actually as bad as I’d thought it would be.

Idk y, but Nobana Saori reminds me a bit of Sakura Riko (we’ll get to them later), so I wasn’t looking forward to listening to this at all. This is actually the main reason why I couldn’t get on with finishing with my BLCD log because this was the one spear-heading it until Alternative came along. 😂 I’ve had this CD for a loooonnnngggg while. Christ! 

Also, I was so late in the game that I couldn’t find Japanese raws of this anymore (I believe Hoshi only did one chapter), so I opted to read a Spanish scan of this. Man, was I out of touch with that language! To think that my Japanese was way better than my Spanish now (like if my Spanish was as good as a toddler’s, then my Japanese is that of an...older toddler. 👍 That being said, I noticed some slight differences with the Spanish scan and the BLCD, but since I haven’t seen the original raws, I can’t judge it’s accuracy entirely.

So the plot was cliché. I was surprised that Yukihira didn’t turn out to be that much of a sadist, though. It really looked like the perfect recipe for a 2007 shitstorm because we had a kakkoii sadist-looking prince and a kawaii tsundere princess. I’m still annoyed with Sakura, though. Miss me with that tsundere bs. Also, as if Kuniharu being the third side to the triangle wasn’t obv from the first panel he appeared. 🙄 But yo, I’m mad, I ship Kuniharu with Sakura more. My boy has been robbed.

Speaking of Sakura,

FU👏RU👏KA👏WA MA👏KO👏TO👏 WHAT IS YOU DOIN???!!!!

What the hell? That was the worst performance I’ve ever heard of his! And what the hell am I doing listening to him bottom right after listening to Alternative where he topped??? I umm...hated this performance ngl. What the hell ever happened in between Change World and Principle??? You did good on those tho??? I’m very confused. And even though he struggled with breathing during his performance on Ayakashi no Hakoniwa, he sounded like he was Horie Shun pretending to be Furukawa Makoto pretending to be Satou Takuya here! I know, I’m just as confused as you are. Well, at least it was great to know that Ayakashi no Hakoniwa was a huge improvement from this. 🙄

However, despite the fact that Sakura’s voice and character was an insult to me, Sakura did pull through (albeit by just a small margin) later in the story. He still was a big tsun tsun, but he learned to be more forward after they started going out. This also brings us to our next topic and the main reason why I backed off from destroying Furukawa Makoto in this review; Lounsbury Arthur.

Lounsbery Arthur, who is he? And why is he so relevant in this BLCD despite how shady his character was in the beginning?

Well, my friends, there actually wasn’t anything that special about the tone or range of his voice, but damn, he made me take my attention off of Furukawa Makoto’s acting! For someone who only has one BLCD (he has a role in Yoidore, but it’s not a lead role), Nama Hanshin, on his belt, he certainly did well. I mean, he did well in Nama Hanshin, too, and he had great chemistry with Tsuchida Reo, but Arthur had to carry this whole CD on his back alone this time! He took my mind off Furukawa’s acting so well that I didn’t even mind the mattress mambo! 

I will definitely be watching this man closely because he has a bright future ahead of him.

In conclusion, we have cliché plot, one-sidedly investing voice acting, and okay chemistry. If you can read Spanish, then lucky you; you can definitely read the manga while listening to this, but I’d rather pass on the BLCD if you’re more used to hearing Furukawa Makoto’s seme roles and or him acting well. 🙊 Please listen to Principle if you want to listen to an uke role where Furukawa was slayed. 👌

Synopsis: Although Touya and Eiji are five years apart, it never was an issue to their friendship. Eiji would always come along when Touya walks his dog and on days where they couldn’t meet, they’re all always a call away from each other - they even spend their birthdays and Christmas together, just like brothers. However, as time came for Eiji to prepare for succeeding the family business, he was set to leave their small town and Touya in order to head to Tokyo for university. During winter break three years later, Touya is excited to be finally reuniting with Eiji after being away for a long while but, Eiji suddenly kisses him?

Comment: So basically this is a three part “Drama and Song” series and this one is the first and last to be released in 2018. Each CD will also feature different pairs but they’re all somehow related to each other since this all happens in their hometown.

2. NIGHTS BEFORE NIGHT ✓

Synopsis: WAIT I CAN’T BREATHE. *inhale* *exhale* OKAY- NO. I CAN’T- *screams* The adaptation of- AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH JESUS The adaptation of pain NIGHTS BEFORE NIGHT HOLD ME I’M CRYING.

Comment: Yous don’t understand. I was literally crying in Animate when I was reaching out for the manga itself. The real life Honda-san (his name was really Honda and he works at the branch I went to and Animate staff wear blue aprons COINCIDENCE??? I THINK NOT) who was in the midst of helping me look for Tenzen Momoko’s Alternative was probably contemplating on still looking for it or kicking me out of there store. 😂 He did offer to reserve me a copy when the CD gets released but I was leaving Japan the next day. 😞 I can’t even bring myself to read the raws, how could I even listen to this???

3. Hinekure Sakura ni Koi ga Saku 💡

He carries his precious rabbit carefully home, puzzling over the strange shop assistant, and heart pounding in excitement at the fuzzy new life ahead of him. However, when he wakes up the next day, there's a strange man sleeping in his bed. The man insists that he is the pet rabbit, Inaba. Hitoshi tries his best to kick the man out of his house but, Inaba presses him to take responsibility for what he has bought. And so, Hitoshi decides to let him stay. Comment: Yous know how I’m shit for Sachimo but tbh, Flaver really didn’t do it for me and I’m afraid Principle’s going to suffer the same fate. I do wanna get hyped over this and I kinda am but not like Kashikomarimashita, Destiny hyped. *sigh* Plot aside though, I’m really skeptical with their casting choices because Flaver’s was really...they had a great cast tbh but they weren’t suited for that kind of setting (except for Yusa who’s perfect for the uke role gdi). Like, hello? You’ve got Furukawa Makoto and Shingaki Tarusuke??? I’ve said this time and time again, Shingaki’s perfect for the “I don’t deserve happiness” role and that’s exactly Yashiro Yamashiro to a T. Furukawa Makoto on the other hand voices Utou who does that “I’m NeYo let me love you” with no sweat. Don’t get me wrong - like, they’re both great in whatever role they’re given (role, not character, Furukawa) but it’s just such a waste to not use their strengths here. 😩

9. Lucky Dog 1 + bad egg Tokuten CD 💡

Comment: First of all, why? Second of all, none of these new actors can even come close to the ranges of the former actors. We have two veteran whales here which are Miki Shinichirou and Hirakawa Daisuke. Now, I don’t know who the hell that Ash is, but his voice is too high for Luchino - and how the hell is Nakazawa Masatomo going to voice both Gian and Ivan??? I earnestly searched for this “Fuyuno” and it redirected me to Shuuchaku Eye 2 and I knew full well that Sawa Mannaka did Shuuchaku Eye 2 so I was confused because Sawa Mannaka is the alias I knew Nakazawa Masatomo used. I’m sure that a lot of the fans of the game (me) were also in it for the voice actors - how could they just change that aspect of the game like that? If they couldn’t call the original cast back then they should’ve just left the franchise alone. I mean, it’s been how many years since Lucky Dog 1 was released? Tennenouji should be preserving that legacy and just focus on developing other things. They honestly can’t and shouldn’t milk Miracle no Ton and Lucky Dog any further than this. 😞

I say all of this, but I’m still going to listen to it (to criticize it) if I had the chance.

December has some good titles lined up. I’m excited. 🙏
