The whole "Spottedleaf was interested in Firepaw when he was an apprentice" thing is so frustrating to me because Spottedleaf didn't show any kind of romantic interest in Firepaw at all in the first arc. She barely even talks to him when she's still alive and doesn't have a dream sequence with him until he's already a warrior. He has a crush on her, but it's not in any way implied to be reciprocated at any point while he's an apprentice. She's more flirty with Tigerclaw than with him.

...But then you have stuff like Spottedleaf's Honest Answer written half a decade later that state that yes, she was in fact interested in him when he was still a kid. Which is such a weird and nasty and unnecessary thing to retcon into the story! Thanks, I hate it!
