actually listening to tma for the first time bc i’m doing a horror campaign and a player likes it so. research. and uhhhh fanon depictions were certainly a Choice

#also some of these ppl’s voices make me want to tear my hair out #i’m on ep 18 rn and some have come close to being compelling but everything j falls flat for me i dunno #it’s like the plots could be interesting but the execution isn’t great #ep 1 has a cool creature. that’s ab it #ep 2 was ok. i liked the concept #loved ep 3 #don’t hate me for it but ep 4 was ass #i liked ep 5 but it’s more creepy than horror. i suppose that’s just personal taste though #LOVED the concept of ep 6. not the execution #not usually a fan of this type of story but rlly enjoyed ep 7 #ep 8 felt like it didn’t know what it wanted to be. interesting pieces but 🤷‍♂️#EP 9 WAS GOOD. good concept good execution #also got a lot of enjoyment out of ep 10. another case where the execution was acc good #11 was. ok. it accomplished its purpose i suppose #also 12 was good. j personally not a huge fan but i can still acknowledge it was good #13 wasn’t great but another that i feel mostly existing as worldbuilding. establishing a family and weird occurrences #enjoyed 14 a lot too! i’ll admit i lean more towards human violence and the rot/infestation ones #listened to 15 and 16 at work. 16 kinda sucked. wasn’t a huge fan of 15 but i see why ppl like it #17 had good elements but again felt like the ending was a different story #currently on 18 and enjoying it

Anyway shout out to Dewey who constantly looked like he was having the worst time of his fucking life in the pitches

Just an 11 year old pissed off at the world it seems😭

#insane he ended up being so happy go lucky in canon #like in the art book they talk about the character shift dewey had once ben auditioned #and he made them realize they could take a more comedic approach with him #but initially dewey’s character seemed very negative and irritable #they had the label ‘the bad boy’ of the 3 on him for a bit too #bc of the massive chip on his shoulder and how unsatisfied he was at the time #and tbh you can see bits of that in the pilot #dewey’s character and overall demeanor is very different in the first two eps of s1 #i LOVE my boy as the bright impulsive ball of sunshine and danger that he is #but this original pitch of him intrigues me a lot #like i can talk about pitch!dewey for hours bc #kinda feels like wasted potential idk LMAO #bc he didn’t entirely disappear at least in s1 so #just a lot of dewey thoughts #bc that’s my boy🫶#ducktales #ducktales 2017 #dewey duck

i'm so glad they brought back tommy for buck. they could've brought back eli. they could've brought back the openly gay firefighter. they could've introduced someone new. but instead they brought back tommy: the guy who was stuck in the old boys' club, as well as figuring himself out around the same age as buck. the guy who wasn't warm or welcoming to chim or hen when they first arrived but who clearly struggled with doing so, and then who came to appreciate them and have their backs and enjoy their friendship. the guy who was there to see how bobby made a real difference to the 118, made it like a family before he left. the guy who was there for bobby's introduction of 'family dinners'. the guy who left the 118 so that buck could take his place there. the guy with the tk initials. the guy who shares a name with 2 other poignant tommys in the narrative for buck. the guy who chim called not once but twice for help and he answered. the guy who was saved by chimney and who will (hopefully) get to return the favour. the guy who made such pivitol personal growth in his time at the 118 thanks to chim and hen and bobby. they brought back the guy who proves that it's never too late to change, to grow, to be open and soft and caring. that it's never too late to learn about yourself, to figure out who you are as well as the person you want to be. that it's never too late to become a better version of yourself.
