- This guy was in an office making shitty phone apps a year ago. Now he thinks he's James fucking Bond, and his girlfriend's dead, and he's screaming at us to let him join a mission he's totally ill-equipped for. He wasn't ready for Paris, he isn't ready for this. None of it. Tell me if I'm wrong.
- I think you're wrong.
You're an asshole. No, I had to tell him. No, you didn't. Look, he's your dad. And what you said earlier was wrong. He is trying to find you. He's doing everything he can to go back and rescue you, and, like, you're here and he's here. Look, just talk to him, all right? It's literally too mad, if you don't. So, please.
THE LAZARUS PROJECT|S02E03 directed by Carl Tibbetts
i do think it's really fun that george is introduced as the most normalest man on earth like he's in tech, he met his girlfriend at a house party, he searches "time jumps" on google after awakening to the government's secret extinction-preventing time loops. he "huh okay"s his way into working as a field agent in the secret government project and then he begins to get a taste of the horrors and, like a normal man, he goes NOPE when his friends and girlfriend die and decides to end the world to bring them back because he can. the thing about GEORGE though is that he fucking DOES IT. like yeah he bumbles through it a little bit, like he's clearly not a seasoned terrorist but that's what makes it so much funnier and like dare i say impressive??? his coworkers are highly trained spies and mercenaries, he is an app developer! but george is the one to crack the code on where the nuclear bomb is, and he's the one who not only kills shiv with his own gun but knows exactly how to frame shiv for everything based on a very sparse amount of information and a guess. as a last resort, he goes to the russian embassy and straight up just um takes it out. easy-peasy. he's intuitive enough to know shiv will go to the elevator first and so is waiting for him on the stairwell and he knows exactly what to say to make shiv leave. he would have gotten away with all of it if it wasn't for a never before seen world-ending glitch. and in the end after all of this his girlfriend leaves him for being too boring.
