Shanks was having a really wonderful day, hanging out with his daughter and looking forward to sparring with his lover. How in the world did it turn into him fighting for his life against Mihawk's mindless body? (Uta accidentally eats a devil fruit without knowing; Shanks and his crew find out in one of the worst ways possible.)

Run down of the idea:

I literally have no detailed lore but basically either the war never happened or the division between Inklings and Octarians ended earlier. The two old men didn’t divorce or whatever and they were able to raise the Squid Sisters. Basically, it’s an excuse to draw a silly little family where the kids aren’t cringing every 10 seconds.

16 - A childhood headcanon

He's the youngest of seven, and definitely the least rowdy. I'm inclined to say his engineering skills were born of a very practical need to repair things around the house, or on the farm itself, when his siblings were more apt towards breaking things. I also... wouldn't be surprised if that atmosphere lent to some of his anxiety.

20 - A weird headcanon

You know that post on here of someone's tiktok talking about the weird way people's houses are set up ("you hit one very normal looking lightswitch and next thing you know ur host comes running in... like 'oh god I can see how you thought that was a lightswitch but that's actually the switch that releases a bunch of feral raccoons into the livingroom'")? That's along the lines of how he re-configures the manor. It's... mostly on purpose.

can anyone help me out with a sony vegas issue? its been really bumming me out and impeding my progress on my AMV. im on sony vegas 16 if that helps.

I'll try my best to describe it. So I load my project in, and as im playing back all the clips i have, eventually I'll run into an issue where the frame counter on the video preview suddenly freezes and begins displaying loading ellipses as such

the playback cursor will keep going without changing frames. pressing the pause button only has the play and pause highlighted at once, i can no longer interact with anything and then the program will whiteout as the Not Responding window pops up. I really dont know what to do about this, and it happens within minutes of loading in.
