It really does make me happy to see Callie and Marie in Splatoon 3 be so close to each other and act a LOT more loving towards each other compared to how they acted in Splatoon 2 and 1. The way that these two's relationship developed over the years is really sweet and is quite overlooked. Like before the whole hypnoshades thing these two were already on rocky terms to begin with and their relationship got worse and worse due to their new busy schedules, and from of course, the final Splatfest. No wonder Callie left her busy celebrity life and joined with the Octarians, she felt so lonely and busy all the time. And from the Squid Sisters Stories prequel web series for Splatoon 2, Marie ruminates and worries about Callie all the time. So to see them years later, after going through rough mental health patches together its just... it really does hit me in the feels to see them happy. They don't say personal jabs at each other that might upset them, (they still make comments about each other but its nowhere near as mean as it used to be). They often stay close to one another in the story mode of Splatoon 3 and in performances, (sometimes Callie does leave the camp but that's because of her outgoing personality). Its just so damn heartwarming to see these two make up and fulfill their "Fresh Start".
