"Here we are, don't turn away now... We are the warriors that built this town... From dust..."
(Warrios - Imagine Dragons)
~~~
My OC, Jedi Master Refeli Torkin VIII Zarander, is seeking answers to life's greatest questions from the Dark Lords on Korriban.
Torkin VIII was born with one of the greatest gifts - the ability to experience Force visions. Despite the good his abilities bring, he feels as though the fate of the entire galaxy rests on his shoulders. After all, not even the Jedi Grand Masters can provide answers to what the Force showed him...
(And yes, he got Marka Ragnos's scepter lol)
This scene is from my SW fan story called Pantora. Hope to put it on paper someday 👀
The strongest proof I have for my “The Sith Empire/Sith Order didn’t like the Banite Sith Order and Galactic Empire” theory is that the Rebel Alliance and Jedi were hanging out on Yavin 4 and still won. That was Naga Sadow’s, one of the most important Dark Lords of the Sith, planet. He was exiled there after getting bodied by the Jedi and Republic, he died there too like his mf tomb is on the planet. There were tons of Sith species mfs and Proto-Imperials on that planet
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like dawg, Yavin 4 is within Sith Space, it’s close as hell to Korriban, Ziost, Dromond Kaas, all these very Sith planets. And the Galactic Empire still lost even though the opposing side was on the planet of the side they was tryna emulate. Sith have ghosts, force ghosts been normal for Sith since forever.
It was the Clone Wars and Yoda was like “hm, are force ghosts real? Nah that’s superstitious”, meanwhile Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh was dueling in front of Marka Ragnos’ ghost before mfs even flew a starship into the Jedi Temple. Marka Ragnos be popping up to fight mfs like Kyle Katarn, mf doesn’t even know what’s going on.
Sith species Force Ghosts do not give a fuck, they let you know they’re there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the Sith was really fucking with Sidious and his Empire, they would’ve been interfering and doing shit to hinder the Rebels. You know they would’ve been fucking Luke Skywalker’s shit up the minute he stepped foot on Yavin 4. But mfs didn’t. Probably was helping ‘em out lowkey.
Imo, this is because Darth Bane caused the Sith Empire’s demise when he decided there could be only two Sith at a time so he used the Thought Bomb. The Republic and Jedi didn’t stop the Sith Empire and the Sith Order, Darth Bane did.
Bro ain’t know shit about the Sith culture, Sith is not sneaky mfs they ain’t ever been sneaky. Mfs disappeared, rebuilt their forces, then crashed into the Jedi Temple and attacked Coruscant head on. They was not hiding. The Sith be like “we want the Jedi and Republic dead” but that really meant “we want to fight them everyday and talk shit”, but that bald mf thought everybody but him was a fake Sith.
Literally, that bald traumatized mf made dozens of millenniums worth of Sith Pureblood and Imperial blood, sweat, tears, and tireless effort absolutely useless for no reason. I’m sure they were so mf pissed off so that’s why when the rebels/Jedi popped up on their planet, they ain’t do shit and probably helped em lowkey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just know that the OG Sith Order absolutely hated Darth Bane for the shit he pulled and Sidious stealing their swag while being apart of the Banite Sith Order made them want all the smoke with him too. That’s all I’m saying
Sith murdered by Sith/future Sith*/ex-Sith:
Vader
Sidious
Tyranus*
Plagueis
Venamis
Tenebrous
Malak
Selene
Aleema Keto
Satal Keto*
Gav Daragon
Ludo Kressh
Naga Sadow
Tulak Hord
Simus
Sith murdered by Jedi:
Palpatine zombie/clone
Maul
Odion
Sith murdered by non-Force-users:
Ulic Qel-Droma
It's complicated:
Kylo (traded life forces with someone killed by...the Jedi?)
Naat Lare (killed by Jedi as unknowing pawns of a Sith test)
Nihilus + Sion + Traya (Exile can be either a Sith or Jedi or neither)
Jorak Uln + Mekel + Lashowe + Kel Algwinn + Shaardan + Uthar Wynn + Yuthura Ban + Dustil Onasi (Revan can choose to kill them)
Exar Kun (evil Sith ritual + Jedi-wrought forest fire = limbo situation)
Freedon Nadd (dies of old age but his ghost is murdered by a Sith)
Actually lives a long happy life without getting murdered as far as we know:
Daiman
Marka Ragnos
Ajunta Pall
Xesh (technically predates the Sith)
My own work has my Inqui continue her training under Zash, but only in so far as she spent any time on Dromund Kaas (which was, at most, two to three, maybe four months). Most of her training, the bare bones of, well... everything a Sith needs to be Sith (law, history, philosophy, etiquette, meditation, basic Force manipulation, torture and interrogation*, basic combat, basic military command*, wilderness survival, first-aid, etc.) was taught during the three years pre-canon spent at the Academy.
* torture and interrogation was specific to my Inqui's coterie (think Zyn's quest, but slap on half a year's worth of education on the topic of torture and interrogation).
* classes on military command included the exact structure of the Imperial military, a Sith's position inside said structure, how to command a squad of soldiers, and how to be commanded and follow orders while at war.
Once my Inqui graduated, however, the idea was that Zash would take these foundations and build them up into something... greater. And she did, mostly. I mean, I guess you could call throwing her apprentice under the bus to perform a military operation she, herself, was ordered to do (Black Talon flashpoint) "training."
More to it, Zash continued their training regarding survivability, mostly. There was etiquette and philosophy and history and lore, too, but much of it was combat oriented because that's what she needed in an apprentice.
Of course, that wasn't the only source of training. Zash is a busy woman plotting assassinations and... doing whatever her job *was* exactly, both before and after she took Skotia's position. She had a Sith instructor who would help, and my Inqui even pursued their own interests, learning alchemy from another instructor (Darth Paracelcus, who looks like the Father from FMAB).
Then my Inqui left Dromund Kaas, and any official training... ended. Sure, they kept training themselves, and I'm sure Khem Val and Andronikos would share their own lessons, but she didn't have anyone else... except, well, Kallig, who decided to take it upon himself to teach her advanced sorcery that Zash never taught her — advanced ancient sorcery specifically. She also found King Adas' holocron, too, on Dxun, but he ain't teaching her shit — minus history he himself witnessed and knew of, and which she is recording (Adas is very pleased to know his people weren't exterminated, because that's what he thought had happened for the past thousand years since the hyperspace war).
Edit: post-Zash, she also gains most of Zash's library, including Tulak Hord's holocron which she, herself, collected way back when at the Academy. And she is also being haunted by Ludo Kressh because she's the first person in centuries who survived his tomb and also because of that weird ghost shit going around her. He doesn't help, though. He's just along for the ride.
Quick question: Did Darth Zash teach Nox/Occlus/Imperius anything? Or did she just use them as an errand runner?
If not, then that's like running around with a loading rocket launcher and hoping not to trip. Expect the rocket launcher is a shit ton of force energy. And the tripping part is a sudden change in morals/ethics.
I love Darth Bane but ain’t no way this man understood classical sith culture.
Bane really traveled into the Valley of Dark Lords during his stay on Korriban, and was like “dark lords please give me your knowledge and power.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BITCH THEY DONT KNOW YOU! YOU AINT APART OF THEIR CIRCLE. THEY AINT GON SHOW YOU SHIT.
Now, Bane isn’t wrong. The spirits of long dead Sith Lords do chill on Korriban.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But Bane, they ain’t interested in you. You ain’t apart of their family, Circle, or even a fellow Sith—aka Tsis.
You some random human muhfucker just tryna claim Sith Lord when you ain’t own a damn rock or acre of land anywhere.
In my opinion, the Brotherhood of Darkness fucked up because they were a Sith Order without the Sith species involved so these bitches just appropriating the Tsis entire culture.
But Bane for all his fanatical studying of Sith Lore isn’t much more of a Sith Lord. He’s just a stan of the Sith Order.
In purely Traditional terms, to be a Sith Lord you gotta have a Circle, a family, some beasts, some swords, some drip, and most importantly: SOCIETAL PRESTIGE.
Tumblr media
Naga Sadow and Luda Kressh fought over this title because it was meaningful. Like you were the DARK LORD OF THE SITH EMPIRE.
It was deeper than just Jedi/Republic vs. Sith Empire. You had the fate of your entire species in your hands.
It wasn’t some petty beef like it is in Bane’s Order
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s why Naga Sadow is feeling himself so much. He’s the Sith Species president he deserves to flex on everyone because he earned it through his power and ability. REAL G SHIT.
Tumblr media
But that’s also why Sadow’s defeat shook him so much. His loss wasn’t just HIS. It was a loss for his entire species.
He had millions of women, men, children, everybody counting on him to pull through and he couldn’t.
That shit gotta hurt.
But then you to Bane and he’s simply just a Sith Lord because he feels he’s the most powerful, whatever whatever.
However, Bane doesn’t have any clout, any societal or cultural rank connected to his Dark Lord title, no land, no servants, no gold.
No real Dark Lord of the Sith would hide that title because of how coveted it is.
That’s like there being a secret president but instead of the president ruling over something tangible, it’s you and your apprentice Vice President just calling themselves president even though you don’t rule shit.
81%!!
81%. If your character could choose to have themselves born at a specific time period, which would they pick and why?
Oooooh this is a juicy one. hmmm
Yva, Rhyler, and Ryn(ShoH) would love to have been born pre-Castigation, so they could work on their magic--and just general studying in Ryn's case lol--more openly. (Not to say Trick, Lilley, and Min wouldn't appreciate that too, they've just settled into making the best they can of now and don't really think about that sort of thing)
Vica and Sha'reii(SWtOR) are both such history nerds I think they'd leap at the chance to be born at really any historical point, lol. Sha'reii might make a special request for the time of the og Sith lords. She'd love to see Tulak Hord/Marka Ragnos, Ludo Kressh etc etc in the flesh. Vica's fascinated by the Jedi Civil War and its aftermath(aka KotOR 1-2, bc I CAN) and would be v intrigued to see it in person. Both of them are very aware of the high odds they'd have gotten killed but can't help wishing for it anyway. xD
Going through some of the Tales of the Jedi comics and I wanted to give the Kines a family crest as both Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh seem to have crests of their own.
The two diamonds represent the origin of their family. They were not pure Sith and instead were the result of two different beings, a Sith and an Arkanian offshoot, having a child. They are also a reference to the gems that their namesake was forced to mine for the Arkanians.
As the diamonds come together, the Kine family starts which is represented by the vertical line.
The three horizontal lines are then life, death and the unforeseen. Three obstacles that will try to end them but their line continues on all the same.
