Good things that happened today:
Watched the "Origin Story" episode of Luke Cage. And after reading his original comic origins, I found it fun to realize how they followed the comic while still doing their own thing.
Started doing another long thing with my buddy @l-egionaire that's about his Angels headcannon. Really fun to get into that.
Got to pet a dog that recognized me. I love knowing that a dog recognized me.
Rebecca Parham made another new video, this one talking about her old dog which is cute, adorable, and you should check it out.
Today's the last day I had to work in this awful, shitty week that I went through. Here's hoping the next week will get better...
Good things about me:
I have good morals and know just what makes a person a scumbag.
I have better patience and restraint.
I have great ideas for characters and stories.
I have a good face and the time outdoors gave me a decent tan...I think.
I have good takes on media from time to time.

meet SAAD AL’MALIKI, the FIFTEEN year old sophomore at degrassi. he’s a member of THE ANTI-BREAKFAST CLUB, and sometimes gets mistaken for PARHAM ROWNAGHI.
about SAAD:
Saad is a Syrian Refugee staying with the Baker family. Mr. Baker was one of the first people Mr. Simpson contacted during this time of need. Saad is often more quiet and reserved, although Luke is doing everything in his power to try to change that.
Luke brought Saad into his group as his “buddy”, though most of the other Anti-Breakfast’s have no idea what he’s doing there. Saad will often take pictures of their adventures, but he’s not one for participating with them. One of his favorite things is when the anti-breakfast’s spray paint lockers, since he finds that he can get amazing shots of the graffiti.
Saad has already gotten in trouble several times with the group for mingling with people outside of their social circle. Saad doesn’t seem to understand the rules that Luke has told him.
connections:
jonah haak- mentor: The Anti-Breakfast’s wanted Saad to be mentored by someone within their group, and Jonah had no problem stepping up to the plate. He’s always been very open and inclusive, so their differences don’t matter to him. Saad and Jonah have developed a friendship, although Jonah thinks Saad should leave The Anti-Breakfasts behind.
gloria chin- crush: Saad had a crush on Gloria since day one. She was always the life of the party, someone who wanted all eyes on her. She asked Saad to start taking pictures of her at cheer practice, which became an every day thing for them. Gloria has no idea about the crush, and Saad is far too shy to say anything.
arlene takahashi- friend: Arlene was assigned as Saad’s peer mentor and she quickly realized he kept to himself. They barely spoke, until one day after school when Arlene caught Saad taking pictures of her dancing after school. At first, Saad was standoffish, but the two bonded over their love of art. Now they always defend and protect one another, especially Arlene, who is extremely protectve over Saad.
Saad Al’Maliki is TAKEN.

Seven Reasons Why Women Make a Church Grow
Women are one of the greatest assets a church could ever have. Satan has deployed his weapon of deception to keep the women out of the workforce. Women have been depicted as the most dangerous group of people ready to destroy the man of God and his ministry. Indeed, many strange women have done just that!
However, this same group of apparently dangerous people hold the key to church growth. Women believe more quickly and are more ready to flow with God’s servant. When churches are being pioneered, women are often the greatest treasure the apostle could have.
1. Women will make your church grow because they helped Jesus in His ministry. In the Bible women followed Jesus and helped Him.
If women helped Jesus I would like them to help me too. If Jesus needed the help of women, you will too. Jesus had a worldwide ministry. He travelled to many cities and villages preaching the gospel. The twelve disciples were with Him on these preaching tours as well as certain women who ministered to Him. Women are always present where fruits are being borne!
And it came about soon afterwards, that He began going about from one city and village to another, proclaiming and preaching the kingdom of God; and the twelve were with Him, and also some women who had been healed of evil spirits and sicknesses: Mary who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out, and Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others who were contributing to their support out of their private means.
Luke 8:1- 3 (NASB)
2. Women will make your church grow because the apostle Paul used women in his ministry.
If women helped the apostle Paul to achieve so much for God, they must have some importance other than making meat pies, serving tea or frying fish! Women can be fellow labourers with apostles in the ministry.
And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life.
Philippians 4:3
3. Women will make your church grow because they recognize the anointing and believe in it quicker than men.
Indeed, women are the live wires of the anointing. They receive, they detect and they believe ten times faster than the average man.
Abigail recognized that David was going to become the king and she honoured him whilst her husband was hardened and resistant.
The woman with the issue of blood received the anointing whilst Peter, James and the others felt and received no healing anointing at the crusade.
Mary Magdalene went to the graveside on Easter Sunday to experience the resurrection first hand whilst Peter, James, John and the other powerful apostles were huddled away in unbelief and depression.
You may have heard of the Azusa street revival whose leader was William Seymour.
There was a man called Charles Parham who was William Seymour’s spiritual father and the principal of the bible school William Seymour attended.
Pentecostalism was born when Charles Parham taught his bible students (including William Seymour) about receiving the Holy Spirit and speaking in tongues in his bible school although he himself did not yet speak in tongues.
Agnes
A lady called Agnes pressurized Charles Parham to pray for her to receive this Holy Spirit.
Charles Parham was reluctant to pray for her but she pressed him to. When Charles Parham prayed for her, a glow came over her and she received the Holy Spirit and began to speak in fluent Chinese tongues. She even received the ability to write in Chinese. This was apparently documented by the government.
Amazingly, the Azusa street revival and the worldwide Pentecostal movement began through this lady being the first to believe and receive this gift of speaking in tongues.
It was after this that William Seymour moved to California and began what we know as the Azusa Street Revival. Indeed, William Seymour himself had not yet received the Holy Spirit when he moved to California.
4. Women will make your church grow because God has destined to destroy the devil through women.
Women will destroy the devil. The ancient prophecy that attests to this fact is that women will bruise the head of the serpent. Through women you will destroy the devil, that old serpent that deceived the world.
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Genesis 3:15
5. Women will make your church grow because women are the producers of children.
Wherever there are women there are children, off springs and fruits. In the natural, women bring about and nurture young ones. In the ministry, the same pattern is seen. Wherever there are women there are lots of spiritual children. Somehow, women attract other people to the church and convince many to join. They are the first to believe and the first to convince others to join in.
6. Women will make your church grow because women are good pastors.
Women have the natural gift of talking. They have this gift because they are always talking to children as they bring them up. This gift of talking can be perfectly transposed into the ministry as counsel, teaching and interaction.
I have watched as women have cared for others and built large churches. God used Aimee Semple McPherson to build the Four Square denomination of churches which is a thriving ministry today.
7. Women will make a church grow because women they are good helpers.
Women are natural helpers because they were created by God to help. Every woman has an inbuilt engine that makes her a natural helper. Women are looking for someone to help.
Many women entered their marriages hoping to fulfill their divine calling of helping someone. Unfortunately, the hurts and confusion of marriage do not allow them to use their helping gift. In the church many women are able to express this natural helping gift.
8. Women will make a church grow because they are more permanent and loyal workers.
A church grows proportionately to the number of permanent and loyal people it has. Men are known to change their jobs at least four times in their lives whilst many women keep their jobs for a lifetime. A church filled with faithful and loyal people is a great blessing.
9. Women will make a church grow because they are less concerned about money than men.
Women are usually not as interested in money as men. They seem to be more content if they feel safe, secure and happy. Generally speaking, I would prefer to have women counting the church money. Generally speaking, I would prefer to have women in certain sensitive positions.
8. Women will make a church grow because the largest churches in the world have used women to build their churches.
Pastor David Yonggi Cho speaks about how women have served faithfully as cell leaders and helped to build his church.
I once preached in a large church that seated twelve thousand people. It was one of the largest churches in that country. In that service, I was amazed to find not more than twenty men amongst twelve thousand women. Amazing women!

RWDevCon 2018 Vault Now Available!
It’s hard to believe, but it’s been a whole month since our fourth tutorial conference, RWDevCon 2018, which was our absolute best conference to date.
If you didn’t manage to grab a ticket this year, no worries — we’ve got you covered. You can enjoy all 18 tutorials and four intensive, half-day workshops through the RWDevCon 2018 Vault Video Bundle!
And best of all — it’s fully available today!
Keep reading to find out what’s inside the RWDevCon 2018 Video Vault Bundle, how to get the launch discount, and how to enter for a chance to win a free copy of the RWDevCon 2018 Vault Video Bundle.
What is the RWDevCon 2018 Vault Video Bundle?
The RWDevCon 2018 Vault Video Bundle contains:
Four intensive, half-day workshop videos
18 hands-on tutorial session videos
Over 500 MB of complete sample project code for all tutorial sessions and workshops
Over 500 pages of conference instructional workbooks in PDF format
Let’s look at each in more detail.
1) Four Intensive, Half-Day Workshop Videos
Experience the hands-on, advanced half-day pre-conference workshops:
Workshop One: Swift Collection Protocols
Kelvin Lau and Vincent Ngo take you for a stroll down the alleyway of the Swift standard library. In this workshop, you’ll learn about the Swift collection protocols that power much of the standard library. You’ll walk away with advanced knowledge and techniques that will augment your daily Swift development and impress your interviewers.
Workshop Two: Machine Learning
Patrick Kwete and Audrey Tam take an advanced look at Apple’s new CoreML and Vision frameworks, and how you can add machine learning AI to your apps. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn what machine learning actually is, how to train a model, and integrate it into an app.
Workshop Three: Practical Instruments
Luke Parham guides you through some real-world scenarios of leveraging Instruments in your development workflow. Have you been working with iOS for a few years now but always been a little bit too nervous to jump into Instruments and try to track down some problems in your app? Or maybe you’re interested in trying to improve your app’s performance? Either way, by the end of this workshop you’ll have a good feel for how to use Instruments to dive deep into what’s happening while your app is working and see exactly where the bottlenecks are.
Workshop Four: ARKit
Joey deVilla covers a broad range of AR applications and concepts in this fast-paced workhop. From a paint program that takes Bob Ross into the third dimension, to a new take on everyone’s favorite semi-disposable Swedish furniture company app, to a museum app with a touch of “Black Mirror”, to a combined augmented reality and machine learning app, you’ll touch on a lot of augmented reality programming principles, techniques, and tricks along the way.
2) 18 Hands-On Tutorial Session Videos
Of course, you’ll also get access to all 18 tutorial sessions from the conference in video form.
Here’s a quick rundown of what each session is about:
Living Style Guides: Learn how to make and manage a Living Style Guide for your application, which can show all of the building blocks for your application both in and out of context. With a Living Style Guide, you always have a quick way to view the building blocks of your application, the ability to build out new views quickly and consistently, and the power to make changes in one place which are reflected throughout your whole app.
Swift 4 Serialization: Swift 4 introduced the Codable API and compiler support for simplifying how serialization is done and for supporting all Swift types including value types such as enums and structs. This session will cover strategies for using Codable to build models for real world RESTful JSON APIs. But that’s not all. Once your models are Codable, you can leverage this machinery to go beyond JSON. Find out how in this session.
Architecting Modules: Modularity in code goes hand-in-hand with readability, testablity, reusability, scalability, and reliability, along with many other ilities. This session covers how to make modules, figure out what code goes in a module, and then how to use those modules for maximum success. You’ll learn best practices in code encapsulation and reuse, learn some programming buzz words, and level up your Xcode skills.
Cloning Netflix: Netflix remains the leader in the binge-watching, evening-wasting habits of modern TV viewers. How hard could it be to copy this model? Quite hard, as it turns out. In this session, you’ll learn how to solve challenges unique to the architecture and construction of video streaming apps. You’ll discover some interesting iOS features you weren’t aware of before, and how to use these in your own apps.
Auto Layout Best Practices:Auto Layout takes effort to learn, and can be notoriously painful to do so. But once you have the basics, how can you become efficient at applying, editing and debugging constraints? In this session we will examine some best practices for Auto Layout, looking at examples via Interface Builder and in code. The session will focus primarily on AutoLayout for iOS.
Applying Auto Layout best practices makes it easy to debug your layouts.
Clean Architecture on iOS: Architecture is the design of functional, safe, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing software. There are many ways to architect your applications like the common MVC, MVP and MVVM patterns. This session will get you comfortable with clean architecture and show you how to transform a basic application.
Android for iOS Developers: Learn the fundamentals of Android development through this tutorial. You’ll build an app from scratch that walks you through Android layout, resources, list views, navigation, networking and material design. Along the way, you’ll compare and contrast the concepts with those found in building iOS apps.
The Art of the Chart: When you’re asked to include charts or graphs in an app, don’t panic and reach for a thirdparty library. In this session you’ll learn how to make your own fancy-looking data visualisations, with animations and color effects as a bonus!
Spring Cleaning Your App: Have you ever run into a legacy app with a Massive View Controller or other architectural problems? In this session, you’ll learn how to give legacy apps a spring cleaning. You’ll learn how to iteratively split apart code, add testing, and prevent problems from happening again.
Improving App Quality with TDD: Automated testing tools for iOS have come a long way since the initial release of the iPhone SDK. Learn how to improve your app’s quality by using TDD to build both the model and user interface layers of an application. You’ll learn what TDD is, how it can be used in unit tests to verify simple model objects, code that uses a remote API, and user interface code. Plus: some tricks for writing tests easier!
Advanced WKWebView: In this session, you will learn how to use WKWebView to embed HTML that looks seamless with iOS native controls. This can save a lot of time by not having to build storyboards (or UI) for substantial areas of your apps, and you can even repurpose the same content in Android. Learn how to structure CSS/fonts, intercept hyperlink taps, integrate Javascript with Swift, and more!
Take your WKWebViews to the next level
Clean Architecture on Android: In the past few years, a number of examples of Clean Architecture on Android have been presented within the Android community. This session will discuss some of the history and theory behind Clean Architecture, show an example app use case from the “outside-in”, and then demonstrate the development of a new app use case from the “inside-out”.
Getting Started with ARKit: If you watched that stunning augmented reality (AR) demonstration at WWDC 2017 and thought “I’d like to make apps like that someday,” “someday” starts at this workshop. You’ll learn about the features of Apple’s ARKit augmented reality framework, harness data from the camera and your users’ motions, present information and draw images over real-world scenes, and make the world your View Controller!
Custom Views: Learn three different ways of creating and manipulating custom views. First, learn how to supercharge your IB through code and create unique views using storyboards. Next, dive into creating flexible and reusable views. Finally, bring it all together with some CoreGraphics and CoreAnimation pizazz!
App Development Workflow: Building an iOS app is easy. Building a successful one however needs more effort. This session will focus on automating your builds, using continuous integration to test and deploy them, and finally integrating analytics and tracking once your app is released to prepare for the next iteration. You will walk away with a toolset for building an efficient app development workflow.
Learn how to use MixPanel to gain insight and gather analytics on your apps
Integrating Metal Shaders with SceneKit: Metal is a low level framework that allows you to control your code down to the bit level. However, many common operations don’t require you to get down to that level because they are handled by Core Image and SceneKit. This session will show you what operations you get with SceneKit and how you can go deeper with Metal when you need to without losing the convenience of SceneKit.
Xcode Tips and Tricks: As an iOS developer, the most important tool you use is Xcode. Learn how to supercharge your efficiency with various tips and tricks.
Advanced Unidirectional Architecture: In this tutorial we will combine all the cutting edge architecture design techniques such as reactive programming, dependency injection, protocol oriented programming, unidirectional data flow, use cases, and more in order to master the art of designing codebases that can easily change over time. Learn what causes code to change, how to minimize the effort to deal with those changes, and how to apply this in your own apps (such as switching from RxSwift to ReactiveSwift, from Core Data to Realm, or from one view implementation to another!)
3) Over 500 MB of Project Code
You’ll also get the complete sample project code for all tutorial sessions and workshops from the conference!
Each tutorial has multiple parts, each with starter and final projects for your use. Working through the projects is great practice, and you can take the sample code and use it directly in your own apps.
4) Over 500 Pages of Instructional Workbook Material
Finally, you’ll get the full official RWDevCon 2018 conference workbook, which includes step-by-step instructions for all of the tutorial sessions and workshops.
Whether you want to follow along with the instructor in the video, or work at your own pace from the conference workbook, the choice is yours!

(via Sasha’s Surrender by Chula Stone)
“Love John Wayne westerns? Want to live out the dream? Come to Purple Sage, Texas and try your hand at being a hand! A cowhand, that is. Live as you might have in the late 1800’s. Give us a call if you want to make history come alive.”
When Sasha reads this ad on Greg’s list, little does she know how it will change her life. Her job as an attendant for the elderly Mr. Parham leaves her longing for a little outdoor adventure and company, so she decides to visit the intriguing Purple Sage Ranch.
Spending a weekend in 1890, Sasha finds new friends and new attitudes, especially when it comes to how husbands express their displeasure with mischievous wives, but since she is single, she’s in no danger of having her backside warmed. She’s free to revel in the chores and challenges, along with the simple pleasures enjoyed by her new acquaintances.
She meets Luke at the ranch and finds herself attracted to him. Luke falls for her at first sight, as the saying goes, and makes every effort to spend time with her, although Sasha doesn’t make it easy for him. During her stay, she discovers there may be more to the ranch than what they advertise. Trouble begins, and Sasha finds herself right in the middle of it.
Can Sasha trust her heart and Luke? Can Luke convince her of his feelings? Is he able to keep her safe? Together, are they able to forge something new from what started as Sasha’s getaway weekend?
Publisher's Note: This book contains elements of domestic discipline. If this theme offends you, please do not purchase.
