22. Choose a passage from one of your earlier fics and edit it into your current writing style. (Person sending the ask is free to make suggestions).

I just opened The Thin Ice because that’s what comes to my mind when it comes to my earlier fics (some fics I found at the end of my profile actually feel like I wrote them yesterday, and they are from 2015 or so). And I thought why not get back in that mood, just to see if I can still do this. I felt like I didn’t even want to change much, I just added more details.

There was no more pain, or at least his brain couldn’t process it anymore. His head was spinning and there was strange taste in his mouth, like someone had laid a piece of copper on his tongue. It felt almost like being drunk, but the wrong kind of drunk.

“Ask me to stop, and I will,” Lugano said quietly.

Edi looked up to meet his eyes. He would swear that there was no anger in them. Just something half-amused, half curious. They were surprisingly warm, too. Many things about Lugano were this deceiving, giving the illusion of warmth and safety, covering the deadly interior like a veil that would only reveal it when it was too late for whoever dared to come too close.

“Come on, beg, and I will stop.” Even his voice was warm and steady.

Edi kept looking in Lugano’s eyes like they were the last thing that could keep him conscious. Then he slowly shook his head.

It wasn’t a question of living up to his reputation or keeping his face, in all honesty, he felt like he had no reputation to live up to, there was no one to keep his face in front of here - and the otherwise empty room must have witnessed a scene similar to this many times. It felt more like a spell he couldn’t, or didn’t want to break.

The last punch came with less force, or he was already too numb to feel it. Deep down, he knew Lugano wasn’t using even half the force he could have used anyway, simply because he wouldn’t be still alive at this point, leave alone conscious. It was meant to hurt, not cause serious harm, and while Lugano was certainly good at it, once he saw through the game, it wasn’t as scary as before.

“I think we’re even,” Lugano said like he’d just finished some annoying paperwork.

Quite possibly, it felt just the same for him.  

“And now…” he said, wrapping an arm around Edi’s waist and pulling him back to his feet. It was almost the worst part of it all, the sudden change of position made his head pound and black spots started to dance in front of his eyes. “Are you still able to listen to me?”

Edi lifted his head a little and looked at him.

“No,” he breathed out and let the black cloud finally take over his mind.

28. Share three of your favorite fic writers and why you like them so much.

It’s hard to pick just three... and to be honest, I often read fics from people I don’t know and I don’t look at the author when I click them, so I just read one thing and that’s it, but...

behzaintfunny aka @hendos - because I get my dose of angst here, and I always get feels and her fics just fuck me up completely... also, she writes “my” pairings, so I know I won’t go wrong here.

lumaste - I need to mention this author here even though their last fic is from 2015... I have so many great memories back from the livejournal era... I often re-read these fics out of nostalgia, they’re so oldschool, they’re basically a comfort blanket for me...

LeapAngstily aka @montocalypse - because her fics are the true dark pit of angst, it’s basically a lighthouse in the sea of fic I can follow when I need to read something darker, plus the glorious pairings, and amazing AUs... there are also a couple fics that completely fucked me up - some of them I could only read once, although they were amazing... I just couldn’t go through the pain twice.

29. If you could write the sequel (or prequel) to any fic out there not written by yourself, which would you choose?

Lost at Sea by @hendos - either a prequel with how my boys Viktor and Simon met (because we are robbed of their happy times), or a sequel with them (because my twisted mind would totally explore their... dead/undead? relationship that can’t be called relationship).
