Hey! Fellow age gap-avoider here (mostly; exceptions are made) and I just want you to know you aren’t alone. More and more I’m seeing writers and readers beg for less AG. I even made a post about it myself yesterday.

Everyone pointed you to @tessa-quayle and they’re right because she’s been collecting them, but especially with Joel it’s really hard to find non-AG (nevermind the amount of questionable consent fics around him).

Anyway, just dropping in to say hi and you’re not the only one!! 💜

They absolutely have been! I've chatted with them a little bit and they have been very nice and very helpful with the fic recs. Also I genuinely really appreciate this ask, like this made my day tenfold. I've also had one of your fics on my reading list for a few days now and look forward to getting to it soon which I think I should.

Anyhow it's a relief to know I'm not the only one seriously I think I would have actually gone mad if I was but thankfully I think a trip to wonderland has been avoided probably.

I met Hayden at NYCC 2021 and had rushed together a closet cosplay of Padme's "AotC" white outfit. As I was leaving the photo op (where we put our hands on both sides of the COVID safety glass like we were pressing them together - his idea) he stepped out of his spot and softly said, "Hey, by the way, you look amazing." Totally unprompted. Pretty sure I floated on air the whole rest of the day off that one sentence. He was so unbelievably kind.

😭 HIS IDEA. That sounds like an amazing photo op 🥺💗 Honestly everyone who had an interaction with him I've spoken to was just gushing with fondness and you could really tell that he appreciated all the love people had for him <3 WHAT A GENTLE SOUL

aging is a privilege & is so beautiful to me - i love seeing evidence of people’s lives on their faces 😌 and i think joel would feel the same way (even if aging does give him weaker knees lmao)

welcome to the hotel california (for the WIP game!)

so! this is a oneshot that i started a little bit ago, and then i got derailed from finishing because #covid be like that, but it's a oneshot that i was going to do as a little character/relationship study. title because i'm back in the hotel california that is rogue one/andor/jyn/cassian/rebelcaptain hell hfjdks

here's an excerpt:

“We have to get going.”

In lieu of an actual response, she groans.

“Jyn,” he says, and while his voice doesn’t lose its warmth, there’s a hint of something else, some quietly righteous force, that she might’ve once found infuriating. Did find infuriating, actually; might still, if she could drum up the will to.

(She doesn’t.)

“I know. The Empire doesn’t sleep.” She props herself up on her elbows, the sigh she exhales just a bit more exaggerated than it needs to be. “But if we can hit them before breakfast, we have the chance to shoot caf up their ass, which would make the burn all the more satisfying.”

Cassian snorts at that, but before she can be too pleased with herself, he’s leaned in one last time to press his lips to hers — and she’s reminded, all over again, of how deeply unfair it is that they have to leave this space behind.

❌What WIP do you find the most challenging? Why?

Any WIP that I've moved on from but still want to write 😭But focusing on one that I really want to write and am stuck on is my mermaid au for Paige and Duke. Figuring out the world building, Duke's connection with the navy even though he's a pirate, Paige's role as a siren. Theres a lot to think about and I tend to make things way bigger than they need to be lol. But I'm still going to write it at some point!

💗Is there a scene you can’t wait to write for a WIP?

I can't wait to write Lily and Tangerine's first time meeting! I have the whole scene planned out, including Lemon being there, their code names, flirting between Lily and Tangerine much to Lemon's chagrin, a fight scene, and all ending with Lily and Tangerine unable to wait to see each other again. So far its a one shot which is why its the whole scene lol
