Middagen i Bloomsbury Park (3)

Inne i bilen tycktes två män röra sig, den ena kanske mellan 20 och 30, smal som en pinne, den andra kanske mellan 40 och 50, stor och bastant. De hade rånarluvor på sig och såg allmänt stressade ut. Agda och Labbo reagerade blixtsnabbt på denna orättvisa och skyndade sig fram till de läskiga männen. Agda satte upp ansiktet mot bilrutan och knackade.

– Hallå, hallå! Vad händer där inne? Är ni i fara, eller är det ni som skapar fara?

De två männen såg livrädda ut, men den smala skruvade ner rutan.

– Eh, vi… vi… måste åka och besiktiga bilen.

Agda och Labbo tittade på varandra i samförstånd.

– Besiktiga bilen? Varför har ni då svarta luvor på er? sa Labbo och ställde dem till svars.

– Därefter ska vi åka på skidsemester.

– Det låter trevligt om det är fallet. Vart då?

– Åre! svarade den smala med leendet under luvan.

Agda och Labbo var inte lika säkra längre. De hade precis fått deras värderingar krossade, att aldrig lita på män i svarta luvor – ack, det gick inte att veta.

– Vad heter ni?

– Ni kan kalla oss för Decafa och Robusta.

– Vi heter Agda och Labbo.

De två rånarna skrattade till. Vad var detta för otrevliga fasoner, tänkte Agda. Då råkade Robusta prata för högt.

– Det var ju ert hus vi skulle råna! Ni skulle vara borta–

– NEJ, ROBUSTA! skrek Decafa.

Bilen gasade iväg och Labbo bestämde sig för att agera. Han sprang ut framför bilen och flög upp på motorhuven.

Elden kom allt närmre Krämelina. Men hon skulle inte dö ikväll, det hade hon bestämt sig för. Så från ingenstans samlade hon all kraft hon kunde och gjorde en bakåtvolt upp mot fönstret bakom, som stod öppet. Hon ställde sig upp på fönsterkarmen och hoppade ner i trädet som var precis under, varefter hon varsamt klättrade ner som en apa. Plötsligt hörde hon ett skrik, det lät som Labbo. Hon lokaliserade skriket med sin chockerande hörsel och kutade mot platsen.

– VI KOMMER BEHÖVA DÖDA DIG! DU ÄR REDAN SÅ SKADAD! skrek Decafa med geväret riktat mot Labbos huvud. Agda stod handfallen och grät. Omkring var det en liten folksamling, alla filmade spektaklet. Robusta satt inne i bilen. Krämelina trängde sig fram i folksamlingen.

– STOPP, STOPP, DET HÄR ÄR FEL! påbörjade Krämelina, alla riktade sina huvuden mot henne. SER NI INTE ATT MIN FAR LIGGER SKADAD PÅ MARKEN? OCH ALLT NI GÖR ÄR ATT STÅ MED ER MOBILER FÖR ATT FILMA DET? NEJ, NI BORDE RINGA POLISEN OCH AMBULANSEN!

En röst hördes i hopen.

– JAG VET INTE NUMRET!

– SE TILL ATT LÄRA DIG DET DÅ! svarade Krämelina. DET ÄR INTE HÅLLBART. SE NU HÄR, sa Krämelina och sparkade Decafa i huvudet för att gripa geväret och skjuta honom. När fienden var död skingrades folksamlingen.

He was a tough looking, middle aged, white man who looked like he was already bored, if not for the slight look of panic in his eyes and the sweat beading on his forehead. No one else but Kara could see, but she could tell he wasn’t looking forward to the case ahead of him.

“You may be seated,” his voice was deep and kurt, “Madame Clerk, you may call the Case.”

A women at a bench in front of the judge stood again. She had the same look of regret on her face as she read out the case number.
