Ok so theres this passage in the LXG movie novelization in which Hyde mentions Jekyll likes Mozart whereas he likes Debussy and I only now realized it’s because Jekyll is an older man that craves balance and order = prefers classical music that strictly follows “the rules”, while Hyde is “younger”, more chaotic and sensory = prefers the then-newfangled Impressionism

Writing a very specific LXG scenario for myself because it won’t leave my brain.

What if, in a world where I absolutely know werewolves exist, everyone on the team but Mina got infected and she was stuck on a submarine with monsters that were once her friends?

I love the image of Mina running through the Nautilus kicking werewolf butt. But also angst.

Also, invisible werewolf. Whatever Jekyll and Hyde would become. It would be an intriguing plot of self indulgent writing.

I’m gonna go write more of it now.

He begs and begs you to stop, but what he wants is anything but that. He pulls on the restraints, he doesn't know why. He's conflicted in every sense. On the one hand, no one should want to be tied up, restrained, and forced to come again and again, even when it's almost painful. And on the other, that is exactly what he wants. He's sweating from the exertion of all his tossing, turning, and wiggling about trying to free himself, his hair damp and stuck to his forehead, it's been out of his eyes solely by you caressing his face and sweeping it back, praising him for being so good, so patient.

God, it's like music to his ears. It's all he ever wants to hear. His chest rises and falls with every panting breath, every gasp of air as he comes down from another orgasm. He loves it. He hates it. Hyde is quite amused, indeed.

Thinking about how fucked up it is that in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comics, if Utterson was still alive in 1898 and survived the War of the Worlds invasion, then he would not have known that Jekyll had been alive for the last twelve years after allegedly killing himself in 1886 until he heard the news that Serpentine Park was going to be renamed Hyde Park in honour of Hyde's sacrifice that saved everyone, regardless of his actual motivations, and there would be a memorial commemorating both Jekyll and Hyde there.

I really love that LXG 2003 goes great lengths to portray the League members as like super powerful and super competent aaaaand there’s Jekyll and Hyde, the Official Disaster(s) of the team, a matched set out of its natural habitat (a big laboratory with lots of little bottles and tubes and moving parts)
